Too big. Some rngs can be brutal. Main has 2 god pallets and 2 god windows that face, some times, 2 filler pallets that lead to shack. Brutal to m1 killers but good for ranged ones.
-
Although it has a lot of bad pallets, the map is too big for killers to patrol.
-
The map has too few pallets in some rngs. But it feels awful for killer because there are a lot of clutter around.
-
Sorry, even with your explanation, what does Freddy has in dificulty that puts him above Singularity/Sadako? His kit is not very unique, his blood pools are very easy to understand and the rest is just a m1 killer which the other two also have. Sadako's anti loop is way harder to understand and utilize.
Hell how is freddy harder to learn than pinhead? Finding the box on itself is already more complicated than anything else freddy has.
-
For me personally, tunelling is okay for any S below tiers, those killers offer enough counterplay in chase to a point where it's up to the survivor to make that chase not worth. Maybe Wesker as well because his power makes impossible to loop once you have the infection.
But for most people I've seen 2-1 gens left it's okay to tunnel.
-
I was until I saw the killer, which is a bumer because dredge is a cool design, but not for a aniversary release. If it is an og character it needs to be extremely good or a lot of people will just leave. Knight - Skull and a bad aniversary will be devastating.
-
The only way is to play agressive, all three survivors need to spread and don't care if they go down, just lead her away even if it means to go down, if you keep just doing the gen and forcing her to down you away from the other gens, there is a high chance to break the trigen but it requires all 3 survivors, some hooks stages to spare and good teammates...
-
Yes, I think hit validation is off/bugged as well, I have been wining 50/50 hits on pallets like I havent in years.
-
No, please no more indoor maps.

Honestly, the meta shake up (6.1) was not that bad compared to this one. I'm really looking forward Killers getting easy 4K's every match cuz this game is gonna become M1 simulator and predrop every game. Why did you even have to touch the meta.. BHVR always does things no one asked for and it's so uncalled for to change all of our favorite perks. I know I'm not gonna play this boring game again if they do change the meta and all my friends agreed to. Stop changing our playstyle and let the perks just be. And why wasn't this change earlier, it should have been looked into couple of years ago. Anyone else not gonna play much DBD when the changes come live?
Dude enter dbd discussion on youtube, people were always asking for changes in the meta. Sometimes I feel bad for the devs, because the comunity asks something and then complain when they get it. For years people asked for mmr and then its a problem when it's implemented. The amount of videos complaining about dead hard, medkits, boons....

That's literally game-winning information.
like a mettle of man proc. It can proc every match if you try hard enough, but how many time it will be so impactuful that will win the game?
-
Also it is about luck, a lot of things in this game are balanced around luck, you have matches where they are beside each other, in others they are in the oposite side.
-
In this case just retreat and heal, before going to the exit gate, in which scenario various survivors get downed on gates? The time to hit someons is almost enough to fully open the door if you pre leave it.

You can simply put 4 slowdown and still win with first kill at 9th hook.
I main Trapper and I use Plaything, Penti as slowdown. Much more fun than quad Gens.
Sorry, no good team will ever lose to a trapper, unless they seriously ######### up (which can happen, but its up to luck more than skill).
-
Dude, its not that hard to find pallets and windows, the only thing of real usefulness windows does is give you information if a pallet is already dropped which is very nieche by itself.
-
-- Circle of healing is extremely important
-- Try to always deliver the tapes until you have 2-3 condemn stacks.
-- If you are on a SWF, make one person dedicate solely to turn off tvs.
-- If you go down, try to waste as much time as possible going to a corner.
-- Some maps have bad TV spawns with areas where there is none, try to always get downed/heal in this place.

It’s great for her. Not much LOS blocking and is just a generally open map
Its not, its one of the worst has a lot of rocks and trees.

I have been playing him a lot, he's far from a bad killer.

Like what's the point in making a killer weak, boring to play, boring to face. I hope next time y'all got a licensed good chapter for us or get some good ideas if you are doing an original cause this chapter was beyond dissapointing. "We made a new killer for DBD, but he is terrible. Enjoy the new killer".
Fun is subjective, I love playing him, and don't mind versing. He's very far from a weak killer, not top tier, but far from bottom.
-
I think nurse is balanced at base, but the things you can bring along side her are the most opressive ######### in the game.

@Phasmamain said:
As much as I hate her it’s worth noting that maps are what lead to her insane strength as well. If maps like shelter woods and midwich were more balanced nurse would also be more balanced as a result
Shelter Woods is one of the worst nurse's maps. A giant forest fulled with rocks and trees. I think worse than it just Eryie and Lerys

Compared to other Killers which are (far) weaker than her, Nurse is not really hard to play.
Her difficulty is really overexaggerated.
Half the dificulty is for learning her, the other depends on how good the survivors are and there are very few that are really good vs her. There is an abyss among an average mm player and someone that practices vs her a lot.
-
Just play better and you wont end up in this situation.

I need more evidence, of course, but I just had a game where I unhooked myself and 2 others as well (with no Up the Ante and Luck offerings) and I had another game where I unhooked myself first try.
It could have been a hacker, if a hacker has a self unhooking everyone on the match can use it. You need to check if there was any lucky offerings, if not when you start to kobe if there is a yallow prompt in the right side of the bar that means someones is cheating.

Good bait

It would not be consider game hostage, because both sides have a clear way to end the match, it would be consider as if both of them were AFK.

As long spirit exists, IW cannot be 100%

No, for the love of god, no.
You just need to look behind yourself and you can see her pulling a hatchet it's not that hard.
-
Can't relate I have 7k hours but this maybe have hapened to me maybe 2-5 times.
-
I disagree this is the worst meta, maybe for survivor, but survivor since the begening was so broken that it means literaly nothing; it's just the same to say that nurse is the weakest she has ever been, it means nothing. The only thing I feel is unbalanced is Prove Thyself and Eruption, the rest is basically on the hands of the player skill.

I think he will got some changes. But just next year:
1 - They wait some months to have a better understanding of the character.
2 - They are in vacation rn if I'm not mistaken.

No, OTR is just fine. For more unpleasant Tunneling and Camping are, the game is balanced around it, if you remove this ability for killer the game just doesn't work, unless you want to see just S tiers every single game.
Dude, how many second chances do survivors need?

you say "is the same killer as it was in 2016" as a reason to keep her as it is, but that is the exact reason why she should be reworked the game has changed a lot nurse is a relic from the past
Billy as well, but that's not a problem.

"Nurse is only a problem because the low tiers are so much worse than top tiers"
Please tell me you've just been trolling this whole time. That would be so much better than you actually believing what you just wrote.
But he's right, there is people that consider nerfing Sadako, how can you even start to talk about balancing nurse, when people think that Sadako is in a good spot?

@HugTheHag said:
Nurse is balanced enough at most skill levels. In low and mid mmr she's really fun to face (in my opinion).
So I don't think it would take a lot to make her more on par with the rest of the cast.
Maybe addon tweaks and making her blink attacks special attacks.
But as I see it, she's mostly fine currently. It's only at top mmr that she's a monster.
Thats a bad idea, nurse would become a huntress, she forces you to jump a windows for a easy hit everytime, it's just not a interesting design.

@MaTtRoSiTy said:
Well as a former Nurse main who still pulls her out every so often if I need to complete a silly challenge and I need to ensure a win with ease...
I think that making all her post blink attacks special attacks is a given. Perks like Starstruck should not work on her - period. A teleporting killer should not have the ability to insta-down as it is just too strong. Devour being an exception as it is obviously a very RNG based Hex perk.
Spookyloops did a suggestion vid in the last day or so where he proposed making it so only her first blink can teleport through objects and this would go some way to reducing her strength, thoughI don't think it will do that much as her first blink is usually used to line up the second more accurate blink for the hit/down and I rarely blink through objects on my second blink.
I often send myself to Lery's with the Matchbox addon so I have only 1 blink and I still win pretty much every match. I would not be against 1 blink being base kit if her base movement speed was increased to compensate. I also like using the Spasmodic Breath addon which of course makes it so you are a normal speed killer after a successful blink hit but you cannot blink for a minute and this sounds bad but I still win with this fairly easily.
Nurse definitely needs to be looked at and I was in denial about this for a long time as a Nurse main. But I want to be able to play her again without feeling bad and only wanting to run meme builds so I can sleep at night lol
I don't think taking matchmaking as evidence is a good idea, because a lot of people do not know how to play versus nurse, but for sure if you get people that do, specially knowing that she cant go through objects in her second one will make things easier, maybe even abusable, idk.
-
I know that this idea has some issues specially regarding lerys, but I think for any other map this is a good way to handle it: nurse can go through walls, but once. She can go on the 1st or 2nd, but just one of the two. Windows do not count as a wall, but pallets do. That means if she goes through a wall to and you drop the pallet reversed, she can't follow up. This basically makes 50/50 at some pallets and introduces some counterplay in some strucktures.
Or giving her a 3 state like nemesis, so that chases get artificially bigger.
-
For more disapointing than it can be, I feel the only solution is to give survivors/killers more information on what they gonna face, if I don't like billy doesnt matter how the match goes, I just don't want to face him, giving me this information before I get into the match, can lead to better matches, because you only will face people that are willing to play that match. Ofc this idea has it's own problems.
I got a laggy lobby with a cenobite forcing lerys (this map is bugged, and some cenobites players force it to abuse the bug), sorry I'm not gonna face 200ms, with 3 randoms, it's just no worth the stress.

What do you mean Huntress hitbox adjustments I haven't noticed a difference in her beachballs
They have adjusted her hitbox a long time a go, it made her less fun and removed some interactions with hatchets. On low ping you can tell the difference.

You mean remove her blink ability after each down? I don't like that, I think making her range addons weaker is a good thing to do, just so she cannot crossmap you at the beginning of the match. And making distance against her stays somewhat strong.
No i mean, its like you got vaccinated vs nemesis everytime you got downed.

First of all, yes I am a Nurse (and Billy) main and thus I'm interested on how to balance her. I really love playing her but also acknowledge that she is very powerful (maybe too powerful) and should get some adjustments to make her power more healthy for the game.
- Make her blink attacks special attacks. The fact that her blink attacks count as basic attacks lead to some very strong if not even oppressive synergies (especially the notorious Starstruck + Agitation perk combination). It would be much healthier if the exposed status effect wold not work with her power since she is already the strongest killer in the game.
- Block all aura reading while she is using her power. The hardest part about nurse is to blink to a survivor if they blocked your LoS and you don't know where they exactly are. Aura reading completely negates her biggest weakness and thus the strongest counter against her. Spirit is also not allowed to see auras while phasing so why is Nurse enjoying that privelege?
- Give her a 40m lullaby to make undetectable weaker on her. What people need against the nurse is distance so if she gets close towards you without you realizing that will make the chase a lot shorter.
- This is not about her power but her addons since I see some problems with them ass well. Range and recharge as well as the 3 blinks addon are just too much on top of an already strong power. She can already negate the survivors best defence (windows and pallets) so why are we enhancing her power?
Let me know what you think about these changes
I think the majority suggest this. Personally I don't think she needs to have distance, it's just too powerful, but maybe green distance and yallow recharge could stay. Don't see a problem with 3 blinks it takes so long that you better off just using 2. Yeah, it garantees a hit, but is just redundant.

To be honest I would rather take that idea and make a whole new killer out of it XD Some kind of invisible killer that haunts you and steals your breath and then starts to actually chase you... But that is somewhat like old old freddy that has to put you into sleep first before he can interact with you and all...
I don't think nerfing Lethal is needed... Corrupt is still a better perk than lethal, even on Nurse, so I don't really see a reason to nerf it especially just because of 1 killer.
This change on nurse would indirectly nerf lethal for her, because the chase is not going to be as short. Nowdays, she can have lethal with kavanagh and literally snipe you even before you know it's a nurse.
I talked about the stealing the breath of survivors because it's on her lore, in that case you can supose nemesis is that character, he needs to infect u before dealing damage.
If you really want to nerf her you can make so it goes away every time u got downed, that would help with her sluggin and also tunelling.

I would not mind that part too much, but just to clarify, she still has her full power from the beginning? It's just that the first hit does not take a health state?
Yes, like nemesis, but you cant vaccinate (or maybe you can depend on how you want to approach it); this plus DH, can make a somewhat decent chase at the begening and nerf perks like lethal and starstruck because she needs to hit them prior to start to give damage
-
Another idea would to give survivors 1 more health state on their first chase, the nurse would need to hit them to steal their breath and then she becomes normal. That would give some breathing room in the begining of the match.

"actually there is a way to down in that map, you just would need to walk a lot."
And that sums up how these proposals don't make sense as far as the nurse is concerned.
The nurse doesn't walk, she moves (almost all the time) with her blinks. That's her gamedesign.
And as far as not being able to cross an obstacle multiple times, that would be like allowing a survivor to constantly have the ability to avoid the nurse by staying at a structure angle.
It's not a conclusive idea.
as much as I understand how difficult that map would become, you would only have trouble vs good survivors, the rest you would be fine.

In that case you don't understand advanced nurse gameplay, when you want a easy blink you start to walk until the survivor gets in a bad position, look at any old school nurse specially when someone enters their heads. A walking nurse is the most boring aspect of her gameplay because at this point she is going to hit you 90% of the time.
-
I would love the idea, but I think it would be very frustrating. If you get 3 randons just giving the killer hooks and the killer gets a easy chase on you, and you die because other survivors weren't that good, it would suck just as much I feel. Would be like a myers that fed on someone else but you pay for it.
-
I love the knight but I can see why some people don't know how to use it. For the longest time I waited to have a killer that would make me abandon huntress and I think I finally got mine.
I have gone against some very experienced players from my region and I don't think he's that weak. He surely has a very territorial playstyle sometimes, but even vs really good survivors he doesnt seem that underwhelming. I think the more you play him and understand his power, the more you see that he's not that simple. He is the strongest on the edges of the map and the weakest in the middle (sometimes you need 2-3 guards to down someone), you have sometimes to commit to people doing gens on the outskirts of the map which can lead to tunneling. He's a bottom A or top B for me.

If nurse gets a free dc on that map everytime sure... But you cannot seriously expect people to actually try on the map because there is no way anybody can get a down with that idea...
actually there is a way to down in that map, you just would need to walk a lot. Lerys is infamous for already being bad for killers powers. Nurse in the way she is now, people will keep refusing to play vs her for whatever reason, in which ends up in the same: she just cant play.
