  • They really need to fix this one immediately. Like I don't even feel like playing killer right now. I should be like high gold ranks by now, but I'm still in Silver because I keep getting screwed out of a devout emblem pip. I just had a game where I killed two survivors and it still gave me a bronze devout. That's wild.

  • How is this not fixed yet? Wild. It's been months and several bugfix patches, and it's still not even a "known issue".

  • Bond, Open-Handed, Windows of Opportunity, Lithe (run in solo-queue, typically with a two-heal medkit)

This build is absolutely wild. On smaller maps, you can pretty much see your entire team at all times. The amount of information you get from this is insane. You know when someone is being chased towards a gen you are on. You know where to go if you need to position for a save (if you brought a flashlight). And in endgame, you know exactly where to go to take a protection hit for that last team-mate who is being chased.

It also turns you into a looping God if you are otherwise mediocre. I've been playing for about a year. Around 1,500 hours. And I'm still not great at looping, but I've been running this build for a few weeks now and have seen a huge increase in Killers just giving up chasing me as I take them from strong loop to strong loop.

The main downside is that Fearmonger basically counters the entire build while you are on gen.

  • I'm a fairly mid-low MMR solo-queue survivor. Tracking my own game stats on NiteLight, I've been seeing about a 40%-45% escape rate. That's for me personally and for my teammates. Pretty much lines up with BHVR's report.

  • Why do this? I was pretty happy with this updated. They made so many good choices. And then they just sneak this in here, ruining one of my favorite, mediocre-but-fun perks to run for absolutely no reason. Ughhhhh. This is really the only time I've actually been mad about a perk change.

  • I also noticed this. I mentally made a note that I had a prestige 23 Nea in my lobby, and that that's who I would need to watch out for. It was the blue cone hair cosmetic and she had a flashlight, so I know it was the same player as who was in the game. But on the endgame screen their prestige level did not show. She was the second player I killed, and seemingly solo-queue as she was the only one on PC. The first person I killed's prestige also did not show up, and I'm pretty sure they were at least level 3 , but not certain. So I am assuming that the above comments are correct that the prestige does not show if the player has already left prior to the game ending.

  • I also have not been able to get this challenge completed. I've run probably 10 games now. I've tried hiding in lockers during chase until the escaped prompt shows up. And I've tried hiding in a locker within 5 seconds of the escaped prompt showing up. Neither have worked.

The only thing I can think of is maybe you need to survive the challenge after doing it? Either that or it's bugged.

  • Same. Just played three games where we finished all of the gens and escaped. Got no progress for any of them.

  • I'm bummed they didn't extend the event. Almost every other anniversary has lasted 3 weeks. And last year's started as a two week, but had a surprise extension to 3. I feel like they've set a precedent at this point, so it's just kinda disappointing. I was hoping to gather up a lot more flan.

  • The counterplay to hatch is not caring if somebody gets hatch. Like if someone escapes through hatch, it's a consolation escape. If I killed everyone else, and the last person gets hatch, I still won in my mind.

If you truly need to 4k. Just slug, I guess.

  • Just play killer. I think it took me 3 games or so for the 4th level challenge. Not hard at all.

If they pop up during the game you grab them, and the rest you can get during the endgame when it tells you where the remaining ones are. One or two survivors may escape, but oh well.

  • I just assumed it would be something that other people could see. Since they emphasized showing off your dedication to a character.

So either a unique prestige icon. Or even just an outline onyour prestige icon in the end screen.

Or if they had made the overlay visible in the game.

I knew it wasn't going to be a spectacular reward, but this is just kinda insulting. Like if they had just been up front with it that would have been fine, but the let me go ahead and waste a bunch of BP prestiging characters. It's a bummer. Not worth it at all.

It was clear from the start that it will not be a cosmetic or charm. So this eliminates everything what others might see.

And it was also clear that it will not be a big reward, because there are others who did not prestige for a reason and they would be missing out on something when it was a big reward.

So I dont really know what you expected, but expecting something very big or a Cosmetic/Charm was just wrong and you should have known it. Your fault if you decide to prestige last-minute.

I wasn't expecting a cosmetic, but just something that would be visible to others.

If there was an overlay on the in-game portrait. Or if the prestige icon had a unique shape or outline. At least that would be something that others can see.

  • This is so disappointing. Honestly it feels kinda like a betrayal. I feel like they deliberately didn't show us what the "reward" would be because they knew it was so bad that people would be angry.

It's literally something that nobody else sees unless you are a streamer. And it's just the laziest looking effect anyway.

So bummed that I wasted all of my mains' items and perks trying to get them prestiged in time for this.

  • What if I said "please"?

    Need more flan.

    Please!

  • This keeps happening to me as well. I keep ending up on the same side as the killer. It's very irritating.

  • Farming is boring, and not something any killer is required to do under any circumstance if they don't feel like it. If there's a DC, maybe I'll let one survivor go. Maybe I won't. I mainly just want the game to end as quickly as possible once a survivor DCs so we can all move on to the next. It was unsportsmanlike for that person to DC, it's not unsportsmanlike for the killer to just play the game out.

  • I had the same issue. Ended up trashing it for a different challenge.
