Something we all would like.
Though I think the devs are hesitant, would be hard to validate the existence of certain add-ons when the sales data truly shows how little we care for them. The "fun" excuse would be thrown out the window.
-
I have seen a few really well hidden totems recently. Unfortunately for every 1 hard to find totem there are 4 sitting in the open. The rng needs to have totems and gens cancel out spawning in close proximity. Forcing players to search away from the main objective would be a nice adjustment for extending matches without changing gens.
-
This is a major stealth buff, unfortunately it gonna be used to hide in corners and hostage games.
-
Awaiting that fix. Xbox killer is a spectator mode until then.
-
Survivors play by avoiding the killer. Dying because the killer caught you isn't an issue.
Killers have counters, bad Survivor plays show room for improvement.
-
My solo experience is I do the gens while the swf cluster and fail at bullying the killer.
-
Easy crowns

As a killer you don't have to kill certain survivors - There's no rule saying I have to kill a certain survivor and there's no rule saying you can't out other survivors to save your own life. Been talked about a lot in the past and even devs / mods have clarified on this. It has to be pretty blatant for them to do anything.
Like if I have a survivor clicking a torch at me wanting me to chase them am I working with them if I choose not to and they follow me? Same concept with the last survivor - I don't care if they're just conveniently ratting out their teammate I'm just playing my own game. If it works out for them somehow then cool - Don't care.
In the situation described, (I would think) video might be confirmation of working with the killer.
True killer is free to grant mercy or kill everyone. I'd leave it to the devs though as to how far mercy can go before it's a partnership.
I also agree with exposing another to escape, but that usually doesn't involve flaunting your presence in front of the killer or is it necessary. There is a big difference between triggering the hatch and being given it
-
Can for sure report the teammate for working with the killer.
Normally the killer isn't doing anything wrong when slugging for a 4k though.
-
Hex perks, the perfect choice when four perks are to much for an entire match.
Seriously though, spawns need to be fixed for the benefit of both sides.

With how the performance is in the game, it can most likely be connection issues, but if it happens as soon as the killer finds them, they spawn in, ect. circumstances like that, then yes classify it as an actual D/C, but if it happens randomly, then yes, I definitely think it's a connection error due to bad wi-fi or because of the game's bad performance
Precisely why I'd like it to be tied to a small timed window around those interactions and with better system clarification. Nobody wants to be punished for system issues but bad manners need the boot.
-
Great thing about Survivor is it can be played with no perks and escape is still possible. Smart decisions and a cautious approach can do far more than a second chance granted by perks.
-
Looks great but time crippling to navigate.
-
Don't have to be a great survivor to avoid this, just need to be good enough to be the last one standing.
If it was impossible to 4k when outplaying Survivors, I think killer player #'s would be at a game breaking level. Not that que times are great as is.
-
Xenomorph would make a perfect stealth killer
-
I found that a lot of streamers are dismissive of it due to seeing the results on Survivors with bad movement. Players that know how to make use of tiles & los breakers really make this perk shine.
-
Huh, Survivors let 3 teammates go down before attempting a pickup and it's the killers fault?
Killers kill, how they do that is up to them. As far as I'm concerned they are meeting the title requirement.
-
There's to much emphasis from the survivor community for better 1v1 play.
I play solo and want less 1v1 or at least keep it where it's at.
-
She seems fine to me, haven't encountered any problems facing her. Either I'm better and escape or the killer ("player") bests me.
-
On mindful Survivors spine chill is an early start to every possible chase. If nothing else it's a strong indicator when a killer is chasing nearby or coming right at you. Can't even count the number of chases started at maximum distance or times I've used it to do the exact same to the killer.
-
I think it's a good place to practice what you have and try various combos, but bp should be kept to ranked play so players earn new perks instead of grind it out against infant ai. Using easy mode to unlock everything in a pvp game is pretty cheap, might as well just add a pass that grants free progression.
-
It's very much favors Survivors. I can dictate the flow of a match for myself far more as a solo survivor than when playing killer.
-
My only expectation for killer is they bring me a merciless monster intent on giving the team as few chances as possible.
-
Until we get a real fix playing killer is basically spectator mode for me. Freezes and fps drops are consistent with every Survivor interaction. I started playing no chase trapper as it's the only way around the issues.
-
Spirit trouble? She can't see you half the time and there are perks to help keep distance between you which cancels out stridor.
-
If your an easy target, there is no reason for the killer to make things harder on themselves.
Assume that every killer gives no chances and treat the first chase like it is the only one you get. Stealth is highly effective and looping until downed is not your only option.
-
Not at all, they only encourage two things Survivors should be capable of anyway. Do totems and hide.
-
If they disabled perks based on fps drops then Survivors would end up losing access to a lot of the meta perks.
Imagine the outcry if deadhard was not available.
-
Definitely not, if it was I would have been given some potatoes to vs by now.
-
I think Ds is/will be fine regardless of changes.
As they currently are, mori is just a glorified death animation for someone already about to die. Making it base only provides a better visual alternative to final hook which isn't all that interesting anyway.

Yep - two ghostfeces and one wraith on console.
Slugging is hardly new, even at five gens, but this is weird.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2329825#Comment_2329825
I don't really think it's overly altruistic though. At the start of the game with five gens to go, the killer immediately slugs, I'm going to get the person up if I can.
Your right to say a single survivor going for the pickup isn't overly altruistic. That's probably the best case scenario for solo squads.
I would clarify that overly altruistic for me at least is when teammates don't wait for you to recover before rushing in or 2 come and perpetuate a cycle of trading places. If the killer is occupying more than 2 Survivors with a single down the situation can rapidly spiral in their favor.
Of course there is a fine line of balance for the team to stay effective. I've also had teams where they hold off to long; waiting until Survivor #3 is slugged before going for the first.
-
I don't see a problem. Unless you've played yourself into a corner, there is no reason to give her the chance to use it. Spirit should be trying to catch up with you or searching after breaking los. Giving her time at a pallet is handing over any advantage/distance in your favor.
-
I rarely see it myself, but it's nothing new. Also it's called baiting; killer is hoping for overly altruistic teammates to start a snowball before losing gens. Smart play if Survivors fall for it.
-
Survivors should be happy with no nonsense killers. Brutal and straight to the point is better than mercy chances to make up for your own mistakes.
Tunnel, camp, baiting, iridescent add-ons, use every tactic at your disposal and try to kill us all with no mercy. I prefer a test of my ability over any handout.
-
We need more ruthlessness from killers. The challenge of overcoming that obstacle makes the game more enjoyable.
-
I've been enjoying Survivor, the game is always more fun when killers play cutthroat.
Playing killer was the nightmare. Fps drops when I see a survivor, more drops and freezes when they take an action, more fps and freezes when another Survivor comes in view during chase, and to top it off more fps drops whenever I attempted to use my power. Finally stopped and just focused on the crowns over everything else, Survivors could take their crown and go.
-
Spirit is an interesting opponent. I like how she puts survivor ninja skills to the tests.
-
Saving them for when fps gets patched.
-
Same issues on Xbox, just grabbing the crowns with each killer and calling it done until we get another patch.
-
In the game's current state trickster is nerfed. Just played a match for his crown and it was horrific. Could not even raise a knife without my screen freezing for a minimum of 6s. Great example of his weaknesses when forced to play at actual distance instead of in the dead zones.
-
Would actually be a nice boost in perk synergy. Healing is quick and few killers are capable of juggling good Survivors to keep them injured.
-
Thought he was bad at release but invested the bp for perks anyway. Later found out he was even worse with the lullaby that negates stealth perks. Ultimately leaves me with the opinion this is a killer designed for Survivors.
-
Well they tried various killer conditions in the past. Unfortunately some Survivors found ways to manipulate them just to grief the killer out of the rewards.
All things considered, just playing survivor and actually avoiding the killer is not a high standard to set.
-
The ruthlessness is only making solo survivor more fun.
-
Probably best to keep making interesting characters with ambiguous personal tastes. Good design and backstory are worth far more than tokenism. Let players impart themselves on the unspoken aspects.
-
Gonna play through the issues as Survivor. Not even gonna bother to suffer killer's problems.
-
Nah, solo survivor is the easiest it's ever been. If anything we are losing more killers lately. I have a constant abundance of high rank teammates but rarely do I see killers on par I know personally just the bugs have pushed me off killer until we get better patches.
-
It doesn't. If your playing well and avoiding the killer's attention, then gaining enough points for a safety pip isn't difficult.
-
Fun to play against and pretty easy to counter the whip. Zombies are probably my favorite aspect.
-
Nah, it's fine. Good insensitive to cleanse and the time window only lasts until found or a gate opens (20s)
