People who want to play Trickster will probably play him because they think he's fun. Nobody cares about your pips.

Imagine being so entitled you think people play a certain killer to derank you. You're not the center of the Universe.
Thats usually what happens though when your on the hook the whole entire match when you die.
-
@Pulsar said:
It's a viable strategy and it isn't going away. You have the tools you need to counter it.
Adapt or continue to die.
A strategey is what you use to win not make sure you get a kill and derank somebody just because you chose to suffer and use a weak killer.

Have you realised yet that tunnelling is actually one of the best things a killer can do especially if the killer they're playing is weak?
People don't tunnel to ruin peoples fun, they do it to win (or have a better chance at winning)
Not true. Seen many killers win against good survivors without tunneling.

Alright, don't run ds, unbreakable, dh, or any other meta perk just because you're not good enough to escape the killer base-kit, you're only ruining someone's fun.
Mind you I do play trickster, but I rarely camp and tunnel. Now I also rarely "win" with trickster, with being satisfied with 2 kills.
I dont, I run Self Care, WGLF, Botany and Reslience. I play for fun not to ruin the killers fun.

They don't have much of a choice, he's just too weak.
Then dont play a weak killer just to ruin someones fun

not being able to see blood pools AND scratch marks is going to be meta plus Iron Will, killers who depends on visual and audio cues to detect survivors will litterarly give up on chases and maybe quit the trial xd

I find Nurse to be one of the easiest killers to win a chase with. However, that comes from experience (former Nurse main here) that gave me a deeper understanding of her mechanics than simply watching someone play her.
Yes, losing is annoying. That's why you want to win, because losing is bad.
Yes, I agree nobody likes losing, but when theres almost always a chance im gonna lose because theres almost nothing I can do agaisnt her to defend myself, ill just take the fat L instantly.
-
@beached said:
As a nurse main the best way to play against her is to make distance and be unpredictable. I see so many people trying to run loops like she is a typical killer or even a spirit. The beauty of nurse over spirit is that you always see where she is and if you pay attention to the direction she is facing you can see where she intends on going. I will admit that in close contact you can feel a bit helpless but that’s why making distance when you hear her coming toward you is so important. In a weird way it’s like billy or bubba, you just want to stay away from them once they get close. Just try to go ways that don’t make sense and never commit to any particular direction or keep doubling back because a good nurse will catch on. I’ve been outplayed a lot as her, she’s difficult to go against but certainly not as miserable as spirit in my own opinion.
Actually no, you can counter her with a locker too, but people startes bringing the brown anti fatigue add on now so thats even gone.

If you're facing so many Nurse players that this is a problem, you could just equip an anti-slug perk, or perhaps learn to counter slugging by reading some guides.
Or, you know its annoying to lose to an uncounterable killer who brings thana sloppy ruin and undying and slugs because god forbid she needs any of those things if she can down quickly and efficiently.
-
@GannTM said:
Yeah, let’s just leave and ruin the fun for the other three survivors and the Nurse. Seems about right.
Yeah, lets just bring the most anti counter killer in the game and meta perks and lose a rank anyways because all good nurses do is slug.

It doesn't cut down on anything. You just have to play against him the same way you would play against an oni with his power (which is super fun). Removing the J-Flick would completely kill him from being used in comp, blight without it is good but not against sentient survivors (without J-Flicks). If BHVR nerfs this like they did billy. I might actually quit the game. If they keep nerfing the killers that are balanced and fun for both sides I'm actually going to lose my mind.
People literally play Bubba and face camp in Comp what are you even talking about?

@AsherFrost said:
Unfortunately it is a prevalent thought pattern here. People tend to believe that they are entitled to have a great time every second of the match, but losing isn't fun, so they get upset. Glad to see Survivor mains out there that understand it's just a game and both sides are trying to win :)
Id agree if tunneling and hook camping didnt end up with the other 3 leaving and not losing pips 95% of the time.

This is where you're not thinking clearly. People like you and OP are taking being camped or tunneled personally. It ain't like that.
I play to win. I follow the rules set forth by the developers of DBD (aka - survivors don't make the rules), and I don't break said rules. In doing so, I play this PvP game, taking every advantage I see, and try to win the game. That's fun for me. Winning is fun.
You seem to have the issue of taking it personally. As if killers are doing this just to spite you. Or for the sole purpose of pissing you off. It's not like that. That's a personal problem for you. I'm not sitting here shaming you for playing a certain way (like you are, nearly constantly). I don't care how you play. I don't care what you use to play that way either. In that mindset, I also play to win. If that means I see you as a weak link, I see that as an opportunity to put myself at an advantage and get you out of the game quickly, thus dramatically increasing my chances of victory.
This is a PvP game. Not a PvE game. We are against each other. We're not team mates.
If a survivor dies, they lose. Even if they were camped or tunneled. Just as if a killer loses to X amount of second chances survivors bring to the game, they lost. Regardless of how they lose, they lost.
Stop gatekeeping.
Your whole argument at this point is victim complex. Learn how to counter second chance perks, which you can counter deadhard, something called baiting, or slug to counter DS. Literally your whole argument is ‘Oh killers have it rough so we can di what we what but survivors have all these bs perks so im gonna sit here and act like im all tough and say ‘tunneling isnt agaisnt the rules!’ Just because your upset you cant counter second chance perks

You say that as if I'm supposed to be scared. I defend survivor things too (such as SWF, head on, adrenaline etc).
Don't even try to play the biased card. You'll lose. I just simply have a brain capable of rational thought. Sit.
People who complain about DS are people who tunnel. If its a problem dont tunnel lol
-
@Marigoria said:
These comments are basically "killer good survivor bad".
Just goes to show how some killers have a victim complex.
Its more of like ‘Whataboutism’ and throwing and tantrum over getting called out for their bs when they sit and complain about everything survivors do.

Have 0 skill? Lol
Most of killers have skills. You need to defend gens. You need to hit someone. You need to fight against gen rushing. You need to fight against swf survivors. Survivors can do mistakes but as killer you cant. One mistake can make you lose. You need to play smart because survivors have so much guard pallets and windows.
Yes killers 0 skill but survivors who genrushing and just using guard pallets 1000 iq gameplay lol

Yes im aware. People who can do that properly and play the game and have fun I have 0 issue with. I have an issue with people tunneling in camping just to get 1 kill to cream their pants too, espically playing Doctor, Nurse, Spirit, etc.

Tbagging the the equivalent of being hit on a hook or shaking your killers avatar in a no no motion which I get every match soooo

That's because they're Hags. That's what her she does. Hag is terrible in chase because of her POV and movement speed.
Honestly, complaining about Hag in 2021. "Nurses that abuse perks". Sounds a lot like survivors who abuse builds full of free second chances. All of which far more powerful than what killers have. As for face camping Bubba? Camping is part of the game.
Also, name one perk that isn't NOED and Corrupt that gives the killer an advantage without them having to earn that advantage.
You keep using the term "unfun". Nobody cares. Fun is subjective. Your fun doesn't translate to my fun. Get over yourself and get better. Or go break something like you said you wanted to do, but don't gatekeep playstyles, bud.
LOL
You cant complain about not having fun when a survivor is bullying you then tuurn around and tell me to stop being a cry baby when you guys face camp us to death so we waste our time playing the game. Thats so hypocritcal. I rather we both just play the match instead of having to throw a tantrum making sure that ONE survivor doesnt make it out.
-
@JimbusCrimbus said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2057330#Comment_2057330
No. They're leaving the game because not only do survivors have endless free, no-skill, unearned second chances (resulting in killers having to win the same match multiple times much of the time), they are leaving because of burn out and survivor entitlement, which go hand in hand.
Do you know what it's like to outplay a survivor, and they Dead hard for distance to a strong pallet/vault (for distance, dead hard has no counter), extending a loop, or even resetting a chase because they had a perk? Do you know how it feels to see survivors play like garbage, group up and get slugged, just to see they have unbreakable? Do you know how it feels to kill a survivor just to have them tell you to drink bleach, or say they're going to kill you and your entire family? Do you know how it feels to be scrutinized, constantly, for doing ANYTHING that gives you an advantage within the rules of the game because "it wasn't fun for survivors?"
It's not that games are too easy. It's that killers are just tired of the nonsense. That's why those who have stayed have prioritized their fun before anyone elses, and that's how it should be. It's a PvP game.
You're talking a big game, but experience-wise, you don't have the knowledge. Please stop.
Yeah and do you know how many times ive died to Hags who camp basement? Or Nurses who abuse Thana, Ruin, and Sloppy together? Or how about face camping Bubbas? Yall have perks that give you a constant advantage too. Dont even use perks as an excuse. Camping is the equivalent of being bullied as a killer. Annoying and unfun.

Please, for your own sake, take a chill pill, bud. Unlike you, I don't care what you use, perks, items etc. I don't care if I lose, but I will employ every strategy the game, or the survivors, offer me to win the game, because for me, winning is fun. It's a video game, and you take it way too seriously.
No, you do seem to care though. You wouldnt be mad at this post if you didnt care what survivors did. Clearly you do if you complain about survivor entiltment.

The wording was a bit wonky. What I meant was, "why do you feel so entitled to the killer providing you a good time". We ALL paid good money for it. It's not a one sided thing, and therefore that is an invalid argument. Fact is, in life, people generally don't enjoy losing. In any sort of competition. Whether that be a real life sport or a casual video game.
But to sit there and tell me that I'm scummy for playing to win *within the rules of the video game we are playing*? Get over it, really.
I also play both sides and understand exactly what killers go through but I dont want to hear it from Killers. There are ways to play fun and skillful, and sometimes you will lose. Thats fun for everyone instead if throwing a tantrum and camping and making sure someone deranks because your too butthurt to not get a kill.

Nah, I meant what I said. I wish I could scream it.
The idea that killers exist to babysit survivors is wearing out on MANY killer mains out there. Hence the complete disregard for their fun in the last year especially.
I've personally realize that when I play for my own fun, which is to play to win, within the rules set by the devs of the video game, I actually have more fun.
If this involves forcing someone to second state? Fine. If it involves eating a DS at 5 gens and sending the survivor to the next lobby immediately? Fine. If it involves hooking someone in the basement as Trapper or Hag and never letting them out? Fine.
When someone else pays for my games, they can tell me how to play. Otherwise they can cram it.
Also you dont have to play that way to beat SWF. Take Otzdarva for an example. He has proven it multiple times. Dont even hit me with that crap. Your argument is worthless. Your playing scummy just like those bully squads.
