  • You're joking right? 90%of the time you get spawned right next to the totem. Also the Dredge has no way to protect their totems IF they have any. If you break the totem the effect goes away. That's how hexes have always been. Are you seriously still so green you haven't figured that out?

  • The most entertaining response yet

Oh, I didn't realize the developers intentionally punished killers for slugging by reducing the amount of points they received. I thought that killers just received less points because slugging excludes you from all the points you get for hooking a survivor. What patch did they introduce that punishment in, I'm curious to read those patch notes.

It's been a thing for quite a while actually. I think it's one of those "secret" nerfs that was quietly rolled in. But you get about a 25% extra reduction in points for just slugging like a tool, and on top of that, it's also an automatic pip loss. If you refuse to hook and just slug, you get absolutely nailed for it

Hitting survivors while on the hook, letting all 4 survivors bleed out after being slugged, Teabagging Ghostface, Teabagging Pig, Shocking Doctor...

They totally took care of all the killer sided toxicity.

Oh, btw, Teabagging Ghostface and Teabagging Pig.

Killers gwt penalized for it pretty hard. Point wise, we'd get nothing. At this late stage in the game, if your whole team is getting slugged while people are also running unbreakable and I belive...soul guard?....You've really messed up somewhere in that game. Not to mention all the med kit add ons that grant health states and endurance upon use. On top of that, swinging on hook nets us a slightly increased cool down that is easily taken advantage of. 4 man slug fest is one of the easiest things to avoid in DBD, ESPECIALLY with a SWF group.

imo this goes both ways. I do not mind a "gotcha" type of teabag done after the surv outplayed me, and likewise when I clearly outplay a surv I do and will nod like "gotcha" this is done in comp all the time and if a surv outplays me, I dont mind the quick single tap like a surv to surv thank you ctrl tap. I do it too.

I also will chainsaw 360 spin chop the last on hook until the game loop closes, not to be toxic, Im just having fun. dont take it personal bois.

people are way too sensitive in this game.

Yea agreed. I don't mind the quick bags and quick flashes to let me know I've been outplayed or outdone. It's when it gets excessive that becomes tye issue. These same survivors are usually the ones that sandbag the random at pallets and ruin the game for them. It's usually how the new players stop playing

You play both sides but your solution is only for the survivor-side. Do you feel like your credibility just went down the toilet.

Because......killers don't teabag and click flashlights......They've already handled the killer side of things.

  • @VonCrow said:

The devs said during the stream that they are going to address toxicity.

However, I don't think teabagging o clicking is in the "toxic" category for them. I think they will mostly address the endgame chat verbal abuse.

The best thing you can do against toxic survivors is to ignore them. They just want the atenttion their parents never gave to them, if you ignore them they might even disconnect.

It's one of those things, ya know? It's something that often done deliberately after certain actions yhats meant to provoke and just be obnoxious. Especially when it's done to teammates. I'm fine when I'm killer and I can handle it, but it tends to screw the teammates

Sigh. This does not surprise me and yet it kinda does... Why the hell would you ENCOURAGE toxic behavior? Online games usually find their own way to be toxic no matter what. I get it's hard to police it but you can do stuff to limit it. The developers can decide numerous things with this game HOWEVER they DO NOT get to decide what is and what is not toxic, the victim does. Treat others as they wish to be treated. Why is this concept so revolutionary? Granted sometimes toxic behavior can occur by accident and not deliberately but teabagging is a very deliberate action.

I know some people are gunna argue 'Get tougher skin' or some other apathetic nonsense but you have no idea what people endure every day and people usually play games as an escape from reality, not to be harshly reminded of it. Find some AI or something to crap on and be toxic towards if you want but leave real people out of it.

Rather then making teabagging fluid they could have put taunts in the game or something that could be used sparingly, especially something that is intended to provoke the killer into chasing them, maybe even attach bloodpoints for boldness for doing so and rewards for killers who catch them. See that sort of 'smack talk' I can get behind because it's within the game universe.

THIS. Now this is the kind of change I could get behind. Reward the killers for taking down the the tainting survivors. That would be awesome!

  • @Thrax said:

You allow the actions to be toxic by how you interpret them.

So how would you interpret sandbaggin a teammates at a pallet and then teabagging 20 times at said pallet? Like really. If that isn't toxic. What is?

  • @tippy2k2 said:

When the devs did their new animation, they specifically stated that they made adjustments because they wanted to make sure the T-Bag animation looked and felt good

They've made their thoughts on their players being jerks to each other perfectly clear. Basically if it's not slurs or death threats, it's not toxic and just "part of smack talk"

    That's extremely unfortunate

Would you want Corrupt Intervention disabled for a week?

Considering it's not an often used perk and has specif moments, yes. It'd be fun having to adapt certain killers like plague

It's hard to say for sure. In theory, I believe you are correct in that if you are face camping (actual face camping), you'd always hit the unhooker first but DBD does weird things sometimes when it comes to who gets hit first.

I suppose I've never facecamped with Bubba (well that's not true, I facecamped one person, a subtle cheater and I was making sure they weren't getting away to keep doing their subtle cheating crap but no one tried to save them so I never had to chainsaw them) so I'm more concerned with when I watch a unhooker run to the hooked and save them in my face when I haven't been allowed to take three steps from the hooked person. So I guess with your idea, I'm less concerned with people who are actually face camping and more concerned with the "side effects" of punishing innocent Bubbas who are just coming back to the hook to chainsaw someone farming a fellow survivor.

Half the time the auto aim ( yes this game does have auto aim) pulls you to a diffrent survivor when you're trying to hit someone specific. More often than not, that's what happens in an immediate down after hook.

You mean people are burning Coldwind Farm for some other reason?

Yea. As of late, Coldwind has been home to a majority of bully squads who are trying to bully people out of the game for good. Same with RPD

  • Ah I was wondering what was up. Both make sense. Though I didn't realize the higher ypur grade, the more difficult it was to get merciless as well. Thank you guys for the information. I was starting to think I was just doing something horribly wrong and being penalized for trying my best

  • @Irisora said:

The second option is more appealing to me. So basically making his knives works like clown bottles. Its something, although the reduce of amount of knives to injure someone it's a must change.

This would be absolutely perfect! I'd personally love his speed buff, because patrolling generators is a total pain with him. But knives that hinder survivors is also perfect

  • I just tried 5 matches with the Trickster. Holy cow the recoil is awful.....this wasnt play tested at all for controller and even Ohmwrecker himself mentioned it was wild on PC.

  • Nope. P3 is merely another survivor to me. I d my best to kill all survivors, regardless of what they look like

  • I play as both survivor and killer very often. I would like to add that I often am the lone wolf of the team that goes and punishes the camping as best as I can by doing generators. It's often the OTHER members of my team that just cant let that go, and are often downed or rage quit because of it.The moment I realize I'm being camped, I often just try to escape the hook, which means I often die right then and there. The moment i see a survivor being camped, i say screw it and go off to do gens. I just personally think there needs to be a heftier penalty levied against the killers that do it.
