It's not my ping or latency. I'm on Fiber. I play as her, too, and I get away with some ridiculous shots. I just have to aim in their zip code.

BVHR nerfed early game and mid-game stealth but made end game stealth the most annoying it has ever been for killer. i hate playing games as killer where i win super fast and than you have last two survivors that stop doing the objective and prologue the game 20+ minutes by hiding in lockers or going in obscure parts of the map.
they nerfed the wrong type of stealth. the stealth that was related towards finishing gens is fairely irrelevant while the annoying stealth exists.
It sounds like you played in a way where the Survivors thought it was worthwhile to make the game long and miserable for you. Maybe reevaluate how you play.

Maybe its just cus of the winter break that friends are coming together and all to play, but there has been a massive jump in 4 man SWFs who do nothing but run deja vu, quick gambit, prove thyself, wake up, friendly competition and adrenaline.
These people do nothing but do gens for 4 minutes while one dude just pre drops and gives quick gambit to all 3 of their jockies. This has been super unfun to play against and i think its time BHVR nerfs these perks, maybe allow QG to only provide benefits to one survivor, make deja vu similar to prove thyself where only one 6% is applied to a stacked gen.
Other then nerfs, how is deadlock not basekit yet? Survivors shouldn't be able to completely repair a big ass machine so fast, that just kills immersion lowkey.
Survivor is being made stronger in the wrong ways, instead of focusing on perks, maybe focus on solo queue buffs. Like a In gamd voice chat, even mobile had that before core somehow. These just feel like super easy fixes icl.
Run four slowdown perks. They'll cry about it, but it's their fault for setting such a boring meta.

Survivors complain no matter what killers do,
anti gen build - complain and DC
anti loop build - complain and DC
aura reading build - complain and DC
End game build - complain - often with spicy comments like "why dont you just accept defeat" (even when it gets a 4k).
None of those builds are problematic imo
-
You can see their ping in the game now, just disconnect.
-
Is it because you don't know how to apply pressure without tunneling or camping?
-
Because the time that it'll take for the killer to come back and tunnel you out buys me extra time to start hiding.

The Leprechaun. Must have Warwick Davis' voice, though.

You have tons of options against sabotage. You can go to another hook, slug, or wait to hang them. You can run Franklin's Demise to knock their toolboxes out of their hands. You can run the any of the myriad of addons or perks that allow you to blind the killer. You can run Starstruck to discourage getting close to the killer while he's hooking.
Remote hooking literally says "Oh you are body blocking, sabotaging, attempting a flashlight save, staying in a broken hooked area of the map? Irrelevant. It was dumb. It is dumb. It should never be baseline. -

Just use of some logic. Time wise it was nothing compare to pallet breaking.
Remote hooking in reality saved like 5-6 seconds per hook? That is far from broken in my opinion.
Remote pallet breaking is actually effect most killers simply can't get. It basically makes every corner loop a guaranteed hit.
Remote hooking is probably closest to Agitation.
I'm not as concerned with the outcome of how long it takes for the killer.
I'm more concerned that remote hooking renders flashlight saves, body blocking, flashbangs, and any sort of counterplay irrelevant.I want more complexity and options, not less.

How do we not have match histories? Also, streamline the process for reporting cheaters with video evidence. If you want us to clean up your game, throw us a bone. The cheating is getting embarrassing.

In any other AAA game, using 3rd party software to circumvent game mechanics would be a permanent ban.
Lobby should tell me when I am facing a party(s).
I shouldn't be at a disadvantage because 4 losers decided to directly circumvent the games lack of audio and chat by using 3rd party applications.
That's why they want to hide prestige.
So they can force me to play their rigged version of the game.
The one where they have voice chat, comms, and ruin the theme and the balance of the game entirely.
If it provides no advantage (it clearly does) then BHVR should show me who is in a party together.
I should have the option not to waste my time on rigged matches.
I agree. Premade groups should have their own queue for killers that actually want to face them. At least have a non-competitive mode where they're either identified, separately queued, or not allowed.
This is coming from someone who plays Survivor with my wife regularly. A full stack of SWF is simply an advantage that shouldn't exist in the dark outside of a competitive mode.

consider me considering! I am allergic to rot! 😅
On a serious note, have not seen the movie but you have piqued my interest :)
The original is terrific with a young Jennifer Aniston. They go slightly downhill from there until it turns into a joke cult classic. The lore gets weirder from movie to movie as they attempt to flesh it out. Warwick Davis is a GOD.

Many moons ago, when I was a wee lad, I considered the Leprechaun to be the most terrifying killer among the greats such as Jason, Myers and Freddy. Nowadays, he seems to have been forgotten by most. BHVR would probably add him if they thought they can make some nice coin off of him.
The question is, what would be his power and how will he be differentiated from Chucky?
I think that he could teleport from chest to chest, similarly to how Dredge can teleport to lockers. In addition, his power would be something along the lines of illusions. So maybe illusionary pallets that actually hurt you if thrown, things like that.
-
We won't get Voice Chat because BHVR can't police it and protect the softshells from the hurt words.
-
If it seems like the killer is going to do this, turn it into a 2 hour snoozefest and keep hiding and rotating from locker to locker, as his perks allow for it.
If he wants to set the metric for success so high, make him earn it. -
It would be nice to get some basekit anti tunneling. I swear, everytime there is a special mode, killers result to the most mindless strategies.

I mean the killer doesn’t want the last survivor to get a free pity escape for no reason when he won and that last survivor wants his chance at the free pity escape.
They both equally could choose to end the match earlier if they wanted so I don’t see why it’s more focused negatively towards the killer when they are both at fault.
At least the killer has the stance that he’s basically won the game since they’re at that point to begin with meaning they’re doing it because they feel like they’ve earned the 4K. While the survivor hasn’t earned it since they’ve essentially lost, it’s a pity win for them. I’d be more likely to blame the last survivor hiding and waiting for the hatch than I would the killer.
If the end game was less of a “I won but I’m still forced to play a 50/50 of whether I get the 4K I earned” you’d see less killers slug like that. This is why I don’t mind getting slugged in this scenario, the killer doing it makes sense. Imagine if we 4 escaped as survivors with the killer getting zero hooks but right as the last survivor is running out he’s forced to flip a coin of whether he dies and the killer gets a free kill just..because. That sounds silly right? That’s what hatch is.
So how can the survivor left on the ground end the match while the ghostface teabags on top of him and refuses to hang him without a penalty?
-
Doesn't seem like it should be bug. If a killer swings for your upper body and you duck under it, why wouldn't it miss?

Well the survivors have a hitbox and the hatchet has a hitbox and if one hits the other you can guess what happens. But just saying it through text doesn't do much for the imagination so I am obligated to say the same, I think its reasonable and if you think otherwise show the models or a video or something.
Got it. You don't think hatchets need to physically hit survivors to register a hit. That's one thought.

Does it seem as a solo survivor, that you're losing almost every game right now?
Honest question, not trying to make a point etc. I'm noticing in every match I play killer, I'm usually able to kill 2-3 people every time. Hardly sweating it just seems to be easy-ish...
When I play survivor, it seems the team mates I'm with are struggling to maintain a single chase for longer than 8-10 seconds. My MMR is in the top level bracket - just shy of 4k hours (but played since DBD inception back in 2016).
With the consistent middle finger to survivors (removing MFT, stopping gen regression, mangled/haemorrhage changes etc) and buffs for killers (5% gen regression, consistent perk increases, STBFL maintaining its impact even after nerf etc), and with even more buffs coming in this current PTB for killers (blight getting extra bounce on his amazing addon etc), how are people finding it?
I'm just seeking numbers/experience of those gamers who play this game frequently since the changes - have you found it harder to play survivor or easier/same - and do killers find it easier to kill people?
Do you miss the old DH/DS combo, like... that was the peak of game enjoyment right? or was it miserable for killers - or do Killers miss that?
Red Ranks and everyone else are too different worlds. They try to balance for red ranks, because that's all they care about. In red ranks, killers get bullied by competent survivors, ergo survivors in lower ranks are going to get buff tucked.

@bjorksnas said:
Latency and the hitbox of the survivor lingers behind them while they are running around where their back foot is not where their front foot is
Your point is utterly irrelevant. I can create line of sight obstruction and not move and she can still throw it anywhere around me and register a hit. Latency is entirely a non-factor in this situation. The hit box is simply too large.
It's literally Kennedy's magic bullet.
-
I usually just grab a drink and play casually the rest of the match. I don't give up and I don't give hatches or gates, but I don't sweat super hard either.
-
How the hell do you get up to 2 days? Most I've ever gotten is 30 minutes. You must ragequit a LOT.

If you meant anti facecamp (there is no anti camping feature in the game), then I'd be fine with it filling faster if the range it triggers is reduced. I never camp hooks, but I'd be upset if I just happen to be walking nearby (mandatory in some maps with halls and such) and it triggers.
You mean you'd be upset if you couldn't proxy camp and pretend you're checking on other objectives?
-
Did you miss the part where Survivors can no longer instantaneously gen tap and to stop regression? Sounds like a l2play issue to me...
-
Actually, I think it's quite the opposite. I think it is so overtuned that it creates a ton of false positives. It seems to attempt to take cues on context. I can get certain words to show up, if they aren't paired with certain other words.
Again... so worried about thin-skins.
-
Yep, and you can't say the word 'die' in a game where survivors are put in the dying state.
-
Imagine thinking you should be able to hit a survivor 12 feet through a window with a 7 inch blade.
-
So, when they hack, how do I report them? Because we know ingame reports alone do nothing.

I don't think it was intended for David to be gay till like 2022 MAAAAYYYBEE 2021. Like he was added so long ago and he also had his tome ages ago. Like I do like him being gay but it kinda does feel like a retcon to make him gay because they didn't want to make a new gay character. Here is to hoping for more LGBTQ folks in the future though (Im too lazy to find a rainbow emoji in the forums ######### emoji yoke)
Agreed. Just add a gay character.

Sure but this is a fictional character, whose entire identity is defined by the paragraphs provided.
Adding stuff later is totally fine but he was clearly never originally intended to be gay.
This isn't political. Purely observational.
The way they've done it (with one of the original characters, as opposed to just making it one of the newer characters or even ading a new gay killer) suggests they've cared about representation in their game from DAY ONE. They didn't. Which I can't really fault them for, because NO ONE did back then. But I'd have a lot more respect if you didn't take one of the most stereotypically manly men and gave him the Dumbledore treatment.
It's blatant queerbaiting and it's phony.

By recent I meant literarily speaking. Not canonwise. Canon changes with retcon.
Wondering if this is another gay Dumbledore. It seems that way.

I mean, you lose the bloodpoints you spent to get to say level 39 if all you were after was the teachable

The devs said nobody will lose anything
I imagine that applies to unlocked teachables as well. The prestige thing being 'locked' just means the perks aren't auto-unlocked on other characters
Unless you were working toward a teachable perk and didn't quite make it. Then you WILL lose progress.
-
@Brokenbones said:
I think if you already had the teachable unlocked, it is still available to all characters
You just can't get the teachables now since that mechanic was replaced
I think that's how it works
So if I rendered the perk teachable at any polint, it should still show up in future bloodwebs, even though it shows locked on the original character's screen?
-
Desync is so bad in this game that running Dead Hard is the counter to Dead Hard.
-
What specifically do you mean by cheaters? SWF on comms is technically cheating and runs rampant.
-
I blatantly camp with a basement bubba build to get my basement hang challenges done. Get over it.
If I explain after the game I was just doing a challenge and you continue to BM, you're getting abused. It it what it is.
At least two of you got a win, and I got my challenge done. Win-win.

The only issue is when Killers decide they don’t like people even if they’re not being toxic.

No issues. Killers are supposed to be scum bags. The entity recruited them for a reason.

Can't be basement camped if you stay away from the basement.
