Yeah, as if bad killers wouldn’t just exploit those buffs to tunnel even harder just like how bad survivors use their “defensive” buffs offensively all the time.
That's what I'm saying. I have been seeing a lot of give me a reason not to tunnel and buff this and that killers. I love the mindsets of killer mains in which they think killers like ghoul, blight, nurse and spirit are balanced and fine but if they take even a little skill to master they are weak.
-
I find it so funny the complaints about the pallets. You can barely tell the difference from before these so called buffs. Especially since so many killer perks counter pallets.
-
Until slugging a tactics that can sway an entire match is nerfed i don't even want to hear about gen rush. Not this 120 second thing either. That is simply too long to be down. 90 seconds every time you're slugged you should pick yourself up. Survivors deserve a chance if killers are bypassing the 3 hook states survivors are supposed to get.

Because for his projectile to even do something you need to hit two shots in the row which only him and artish have (nemi if you arent infected but thats way easier) but unlike artist his projectile is weaker and has less utility (artist can snipe you across the map, injure through walls more than unknown and she can use crows on loops as zoning tool or for hits which unknown cant or its less powerfull. His teleports are fast but easy to destroy and he has to move to get something from them so they are ok.
But I take your post more as question than serius take because this have to wrote someone who doesnt play uknown.
Its very easy to land shots when it covers so much range. No, hes in a nice balanced state.
-
Shes very balanced now. Bhvr did a great job making her less ridiculous. Shes fine as is.
-
He has the fastest teleport in the game and his projectile hits wide range and he needs a buff?
-
So sad that when a killer requires skill to play they are picked less.
-
Just make it so it don't cause injury and instead apply a debuff.
-
Watch they buff killers then they're like "fooled you we're going to tunnel, camp and slug anyways." No punishments are the only true ways to punish these busted mechanics. I don't trust them.
-
With how close exit gates are on most maps why is this an issue? Most of the time the survivor is found and killed anyways.
-
Tunneling, slugging and camping are mechanics that sway the game too much for the killers side. They all need to be addressed. They need this update to go through this time minus a few things like the wicked perk and syringes being too strong. Also the slug time is simply too long at 120 seconds to leave someone crawling. 90 seconds was fine. Otherwise the changes are fine as is.

Singularity is also Hit-Scan and arguably is better than Ghoul, especially around looping and near instant map traversal.

Also, just read the patch notes and proposed changes to the game via the PTB. The game is becoming incredibly one-sided incredibly quickly, and it is because of players like you who just incessantly whinge, whine and complain about minor annoyances, grievances or even the most basic gameplay from the killer side.
I'm sorry, but you don't have a leg to stand on.
You are more than welcome to be annoyed at Ghoul, you're more than welcome to feel frustrated and to vent your frustrations here. But please, don't pretend to be ignorant of the precarious position DbD is in right now.
You really think all the changes are going to actually go through? They cancelled the last update due to killer complaints they'll do it again.

Survivor with no perks is way easier than killer same with adepts you get other 3 people that will have strong perks mostly and stall the killer for you but with killer there is just you, big rng like map and more, your killers power and survivors mistakes that will carry you if not than its gg against decent survivor teams.
I'll have to give no perk killer a go sometime and see. I do love a challenge.
-
I just got this today vs an oni. The game crashes and says dedicated server not responding yet I'm hit with a penalty.
-
You may as well let them go or just kill them for fun because the whole match dont count.

He already does get self-stunned. That's literally entirely how his enrage mode functions. He gives you a ton of distance while he's crashing out. If you want seamless movement, then you'd have to remove the self-stun to keep the balance (this is actually already how it works sometimes if a survivor gets hit by his power during an animation that prevents them from being held in place; they keep moving and Ghoul's self-stun ends significantly faster)
No when he is licking his hands the survivor is grappled and can't move. There is no distance. If the games gives him a free undodgeable hit there should be zero delay. Just a regular hit not held in place until he licks his hand. He should get stunned the survivor should not. Totally busted.
-
Theres tunneling=going for same target after they get unhooked and hard tunneling=Going for the same target 3 times in a row to eliminate them quickly.
-
If it goes through as is I'll give up survivor and be killer. I play dbd for the challenge. I been running no perk survivor for a while now because I personally think exhaustion is a crutch.
-
I don't think a lot of the changes are going to stick though. Keep in mind this is just testing.
-
@BlackRabies said:
Yeah, some changes questions you if the devs were even thinking.
- Styptics you'll get an extra 3-4 charges when healing yourself or just use a brown add-on for 8 charges.
- Wicked + Resurgence = immediately unhook in the killer's face in a healthy state.
- PinHeads Original Pain add-on been reworked to sore aura instead, but he already has one of the same rarity that does almost the exact same thing.
- Furtive Chase was reverted back cause they didn't want the haste to stack with blood lust but it gets lost as soon as they start a chase, break something or even sneeze the wrong way???
- Pulling back 2 base kit buffs for killers to encourage spreading hooks cause it was too much hand holding yet they're fine giving survivors all these base kit buffs???
NOTHING MAKES SENSE HERE. no comment on the syringe since it's completely different now.
Even I am feeling sorry for killer mains with some of these changes and I'm pro anti tunnel, slug and camp. If the update goes through as is swfs are going to be a nightmare. I still think a comm system would solve a lot of issues though with callouts like call of duty or friday the 13th the game though. It would benefit both solo and swf survivors and make the game more interactive. A lot of the changes are so unneeded.

in the context of video games (and tech more broadly), an exploit is a tool or method to take advantage of an unintended flaw or error in a piece of software. For example, if a Killer had a bug that they had no terror radius when equipped with a certain weapon skin, or a Survivor became unhookable if they did a certain button input at a pallet vault, and people used those bugs to try and win trials, that would be exploiting, which is a reportable offence in DBD. Things that are intended to be in the game by the devs, however problematic or imbalanced, are not exploits: so a Killer tunnelling to better control a trial, or a Survivor using the quietest character with the most camouflaged outfits to make it harder for them to be spotted, is not an exploit. If you want to be angry or bitter at someone, direct it at the developers who have not found an effective solution in the game’s near 10-year lifespan (and still haven’t found one in this current PTB), and not the players who are usually just trying to play the game.
That's not all an exploit is but sure twist the definition to your liking.

@AmahlF said:
Y'all need to do something about the auto lock on nature of the grab for their power. How is it remotely okay for the killer to literally grab you and go enraged through walls, rocks, window vaults where they can't even see you. The ghoul should not be able to do quite frankly half the BS that is allowed and shouldn't be considered "Skill".
They need to nerf him so his auto hit doesn't hold you in place while he's licking his hand. If BHVR is going to give him a free ranged hit let him get stunned or something.
-
An exploit can refer to using any situation unfairly for one's own benefit. I think its you who needs to know the definition. By any situation unfairly means tunneling, slugging and camping. Have a nice day.

If they can't comeback from a simple slug its a skill issue. There are many ways to counter slug: go to stronger loops, heal, spread on the map, force lockers. If we account perks, slugging is even weaker.
So yeah, partially skill issue.
Thats like me saying if you can't stop gen rushing skill issue. No the counter to slugging, camping and tunneling is for BHVR to make a comm system for survivors and for survivors to do call outs. Not discord either and for everyone. Scrap all these updates and put that in and it will be prevented.

Another loop for the good guys

As BrightWolf said its also for console.
Which tbh i agree with him? Although I forgot about console a but its for that too.
You can get good on killer and survivor on console. Many players do it. Thats no excuse for cheap free hits.

Only if the whole survivor team is bad, LOL
If you know any macroplay on surv all of these strats become risky for the killer, because they can lose gens or not garantee a single extra stage if these strats are applied wrong.
So you're saying swf teams in high MMR are bad? Because slugging 4k them all the time. Try again.

Because the best way to prevent tunneling, slugging and camping is to increase the rewards for unique hooks, not to punish these strategies. Believe or not, people don't tunnel, camp and slug because they want to spoil other peoples fun but because its the safest way to not have a miserable match as killer in some situations.
Are you kidding me? Just today I faced a person with the name getsluggedlol. Take a wild guess what happened…Do you even play the game? Sorry but BHVR should not reward killers and make things worse. Even if you guys got basekit pop, grim embrace and corrupt you'd tunnel camp and slug anyways AND the game would be worse because you'd have those perks basekit. No no punishing the behavior is the way to go. The first update that was scrapped was fine.
-
I hardly ever see blight or nurse. Must be just bad luck.

@Cvz said:

Those are mechanics, not exploits. Stay near a hook is not a exploit, but obviously, no one wants to day on 1rst hook, or be hard tunneled. I think we can punish killers for playing in certain way, and reward killers when they play in certain way.
They are exploits because there's no good counter to them. They can turn a survivor win into a 4k.
-
Queue times are a lot better during the day. I do agree if you play in the evening(USA times) they can be pretty bad.

As specific killers. Have you ever asked yourself why people play only high A tiers or better? It's cus they have to to win
Lately I have rarely seen blight, spirit, nurse or ghoul. Any killer can be good if you know how to use them. This whole rating system is flawed.
-
Yeah and the trapper on the tutorial games is a bit confused. Lol I think custom games needs killer bots so survivors can learn and practice how they work without the pressure and toxicity of a real match.
-
This update is supposed to be about reducing camping, tunneling and slugging. Why should killers be rewarded further when theyre probably going to still do it anyways? You think bigger rewards for unique hooks will stop them? No. As long as tunneling, slugging and camping are meta people will exploit it.
-
So we get killers who don't even have to aim but the games survivor sided. lmao!

Idk what ur smoking but the game has nevwr been killer sided before. You can ask any veteran player other than myself and they'll tell you the same thing. And actually considering those collective and communal killrates is very unrealistic, since thats not actually how matches should be playing out. Some killers are way weaker than others, way stronger, some maps busted for surv, some for killer. There are endless factors, but fir the most part, the game is no where near killer sided, and it has been shifting away from it alot lately in the form of "QOL" which is just blatant survivor buffs thats no one asked for nor was needed.
I think 70% of people on here disagree with you sir. Its stupid easy to get 4k. The only matches that are challenging are swf's and they are the best players. Just because you have to try a little harder against a coordinated team doesn't mean the games survivor sided. Sorry! Lets also keep in mind that most of the games playerbase is solo.
-
I'm a console player and I don't record my matches. Not looking to prove anything to anyone but I have played thousands of matches in both killer and survivor and I know what me and many others experience. People think survivors are trolling when killer players never truly experience how bad solo q is. Killers say the games survivor sided when they lose to the highest MMR SWF teams with discord communication. Well of course its going to be hard. The survivors know where you are at all times due to callouts.

Have you played killer before?
Many times and its so easy that I mostly play survivor. Its much more of a challenge and a lot more to learn. Not very fun when you can 3-4k every match with minimal effort.
-
Decisive strike is a poor counter for tunneling as you can just go after and hit the survivor again. Dissolution, spirit fury killers can just walk through pallets. So yeah.

It really does seeing as the game is already survivor sided as it is, and we got the devs with their skewed stats and "one-sided" upcoming PTB
60% kill rate not including thrown out matches by dc and says survivor sided. sorry you lost to a swf but the games been killer sided years now.
-
Pallets were added to help survivors keep up with present day busted killers. Pallets are mindgamable. Tunneling after being proxied has no counter.

You are pointlessly aggresive, it's threat towards people that talk about games being hard and me responding with it being nature of mmr.
I'm just calling you out on how ridiculous this post is. Expecting players to play like they are in lower MMR after increasing rank is silly. If you want all easy matches just lose intentionally and stay in low MMR.
-
@Elan said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4023256#Comment_4023256
There is nothing about complaining or bullying. :-) The post is about you can't truly avoid frustrating games on both sides if you do the best to win every game as you climb up the mmr ladder. I don't teabag killers, I don't BM survivors… but if players do that on purpose multiple times I sometimes lost mood to be nice player tbh.
So you think if you win games and climb MMR you should face worse players? Sorry you can't steamroll every match there.
-
I'll just be glad proxycamping and hard tunneling 1 survivor is going away.
-
Use dissolution. There are perks to counter pallets you know.
-
They need to increase how long it takes for him to get to tier 3. Its too oppressive. I'm fine with the stalk range increase but being exposed pretty much the entire match against an overbuffed dash killer is no fun.
