  • Well, I certainly can't relate to that. The only thing that happens to me once in a while is that I dream of playing a certain killer that I have never played before and the dream is just so much fun that I will start playing the killer then.

  • @RamblinRango said:

This guy is the reason lol did you see those shots

Yeah but that's skill. You shouldn't be punished for that. Besides, it drastically hurts huntress and deathslinger to not being able to throw/shoot over the tiles in the start of the video.

  • They have no competition, so as long as everyone is putting up with what they are doing and buying their stuff nothing will change.

  • Let's not talk about the fact that killer sounds are bugged for almost a year now and doesn't seem like that is going to change any time soon. Killers have the same issues when it comes to improving the overall quality of the game. Probably even more than survivors because sounds are huge.

Well yeah, I guess you could say that your perspective comes off a little bit entitled and is far from being the truth.

  • The problem I see with this is that Nurse is too reliant on both of her blinks. If you need to charge your first blink everytime to maximum to get your second blink, you will have a lot of trouble getting survivors around tiles.

I also don't enjoy the recovery cooldown but I think it isn't punishing a good Nurse player.

I play her with a purple/green range add on and only one recharge. Eventhough I have the cd on my blinks the range add on is covering that up to an extend where I think it is a more powerful combination than using both recharge add ons.

I would love to have old Nurse base kit back, simply because I don't like the idea of being reliant on add ons to play a certain killer properly, but I also think she is fine in her current state. Much harder to learn, but still insanely strong.

  • Thanks for writing this. I always mention these things under every post where a survivor complains about tunneling or camping because it isn't as simply as just being toxic. It is a valid strategy and some killers have to rely on them. I am pretty sure if 12 hooking everyone would be possible, the majority of killer mains would love to do it. It's way more fun to engage in a lot of chases than having a sweat fest every game to win.

  • I enjoy going for a lot of different chases even if that means that I don't get any kills at the end of the game.

But I agree that you should just play how you want to and do what you need to do in order to win. Survivors are also not saying to their teammates right before the game starts:"Let's not gen rush the killer this game so he has fun too".

  • @Canas said:

Hey, if you were playing a killer who's known for being awfully weak and bugged you would get angry, too.

But the thing is: no one if forcing people to buy or play this bugged chapter. In fact, I would encourage people to wait until it is properly playable and worth the money. The only thing that can wake up Behaviour at this point is the part where it hurts the most.

  • At this point no one should give Behaviour any more money until they fix their game.

  • In most scenarios it simply isn't.

It punishes Killers for doing well and there is nothing they can really do about it (besides slugging for the 4k).

Giving survivors two escape chances when they screwed up isn't what I would consider fair.

  • I actually have to agree with you.

While it is true that you can close the chat, that still doesn't take away the possibility of people taking out their anger issues in the endgame chat. It always creates an unpleasant feeling. And most people are simply not able to grow such a thick skin that insults doesn't bother them anymore especially if you just had a really bad game.

I have encountered wonderful people in the endgame chat but I rather not have those encounters anymore than giving toxic people a room to spread their negativity.

  • True. If you play against survivors who are actively setting off all of your traps, you need to have a ton of patience and reconsider your trap placement.

But still, she is a hell lot of fun, mainly because she is very strong and doesn't really need gen slowdown perks.

See this is what I don't want, judging real people. Way out of line.

I am not judging her. It's an illness.

    Nancy.....

Nancy is very authentic though. Her actress looked extremely anorexic in the first two seasons.

  • I would suggest they rather rework the hatch mechanic so killers wouldn't feel the need to slug for the 4k.

  • That's honestly the best thing when you are playing Nurse. The feeling of someone shortening your fatigue is simply amazing. I am always very thankful for survivors that do that to me xD

  • The hatch is just poorly designed in general.

Your whole team screwed up? No worries. Here is a free escape.

Hatch is closed by the killer? Ah, well...guess we will give you another chance to escape then. And if you have a key you can re open the hatch. Isn't that great?

Basically, hatch rewards the team for playing bad and punishes the killer for playing good. Totally fair.

It's honestly normal. If you win in this game as killer, survivors are going to complain. It doesn't matter how you do it. You can play nice, you can play mean, the salt will flow if you win. You will be insulted if you lose. You can turn off the endgame chat or steam comments but I leave them.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/IP0RBFFRNP9J/spooky-png.png

I get a TON of camping / tunneling complaints when I am playing pretty nice. If I hook someone, go across the map, hook someone else, then come back and hook you again, it's not tunneling sorry. Only like half of them are legitimate.

The other half of the comments that people post are just total lies.

"Whines about keys" when I just tunneled out the key user and slugged the rest after they swapped to it at 6 seconds and never said anything in that endgame chat.

"Enjoy depip" when the guy rage DC'd and I got Ruthless killer.

"BMs all game and camps for no reason" His SWF sent me to haddo, I am gonna BM and camp the heck out of anyone I get.

"-rep camp" when I am playing Hag and got 2 people in the basement early. I guess I should just walk across the map, let all my traps get triggered, and then let them unhook and reset for free.

And that's just this week. I recently had someone spew like 10 lines of salty comments because they exploited by sitting under the hook (so you can't pick them up) and then my response was to just facecamp the hooked person and them at the same time. They spoonfed me a win then cried about it.

I have had people say I am using Instadown / Exhaust add-ons on clown (why would you ever run those together) when I had 6 bottles of bleach that game, etc etc.

The other half of the comments that people post are just total lies.

I feel you. I also had my profile on public just to get comments about how I am a toxic Nurse NOED user eventhough I never use NOED. It's so sad they have to come up with lies to make themselves feel better.

I am not asking if it is a smart or a justifiable thing to do.

I am asking, do you really believe survivors should happily say "gg" and that they shouldn't mind the fact you camped someone AND brought a mori, regardless of the circumstances?

They have every right to complain. Whether they do it in a toxic way, it's entirely up to them.

I don't think that you have the right to complain about anything that involes the set up of a player because you are only using what is available in the game. Everyone is free to use what they want. That goes for both sides. And I also don't think that you should complain about someones playstyle, because that is also entirely up to each individual. If you encounter something you don't like move on. If you can't stand certain playstyles play a different game.

I don't like keys. I don't like Mori's. But I also don't like SWF in general or nasty meta perks combos. I don't blame someone for relying on that stuff though. Use what you want, but I will also use what I want.

If you can't say gg then say nothing. But don't be a complete dick for no reason. We don't know for sure what kind of playstyle the creator of this post normally has, but from the information that he has given there is no reason for being a terrible person in the endgame chat.

Besides...these kind of survivors will trash talk you regardless of the set up that you are using. They just have a broken ego in general so they like to take it out on others.

  • @MrLimonka said:

So, you camped a survivor with a mori, and then you expect the survivors to be nice in the endgame chat? If anything, you initiated the toxicity - you were the toxic one here.

I really don't see what your point is.

He camped the survivor when all gens where done which is what every smart killer would do in that situation. That's not toxic at all. With or without Mori, it is the only right decision. So there is no reason for anyone to behave like a little child in the endgame chat.

  • So, I used NOED in Red ranks for a while, not because I am a "bad" killer but because I was sick of getting gen rushed. (Yes, you can be a pretty good killer and still get gen rushed and there is nothing you can do about it. Surprise).

I used it for punishing survivors and not for carrying my mistakes. And if you really believe NOED punishes good survivors then you aren't as good as you think you are. It punishes survivors who are inefficient and tunnel visioned on getting out of the game. Nothing more. Sure, you can't control what kind of teammates you are getting but in your scenario where you looped the killer for 5 gens, there must have been plenty enough time for them to do bones. It isn't a badly designed perk because it works in these situations. It is a badly designed perk for other reasons. And honestly, even if the killer in your scenario wouldn't have used NOED, there would have been one kill for sure. Maybe not you but the only thing to do in endgame is to trade hooks. With that being said NOED didn't really changed the impact of your game. It didn't give the killer a snowball.

Coming back to my personal test with NOED in red ranks: It wasn't worth it. In most of my games where the survivors managed to do all the gens, it didn't even activated. With that being said I have never used it again. It is weak in my opinion. It only works if survivors are being extremely greedy on gens and not doing bones at all. Once you get your first 500 hours in the game as survivor, you will develop a feeling for totem spawns, so there isn't really a problem with that. There are even things that can help you with that. (Detevtive's Hunch, Maps). Even in Solo queue I barely have problems with it.

It is only a matter of getting good at overall coordination and efficiency as survivor. Being a good survivor doesn't just mean you are good at running from one pallet to another and using your surroundings smartly in a chase. There is more to it. And the overall design of the game is a 4vs1. That means the goal is to play efficient in a team and not just in a 1vs1 chase. It doesn't matter if you can loop the killer for 5 gens if your teammates are not using that time correctly. Your speficic problem here isn't a perk, it is the non existence of a good MMR System. NOED is only a threat in Solo Queue, and even then it is found very quickly in most scenarios.

Saying that NOED rewards bad killlers and only bad killers just shows me what a wrong perspection you have of the game. Maybe you don't play both sides, so it is a matter of being inexperienced, or maybe you are just biased in your overall thinking. I don't know honestly.

While it is true that low rank killlers will use it, because it is actually one of the best perks that you can get in the start, it doesn't mean it is a perk for bad players. Yes, a lot of bad killers are using it, mostly because they don't care. Good killers do have pride and since most survivors will throw shade at you for using it (completely unjustified in my opinion), they don't use it. It has counters though, it isn't a boosted perk at all. There are so many more nasty combos on the killer side that will do more than NOED. (a slugging build with knockout for example) It is only boosted if the survivors are allowing it. Hell...it can even be deactivated before the endgame starts. That alone is such a huge waste of a perk slot and I can't understand how people can complain about it. Survivors do have active control over this perk and they still manage to complain.

Bloodwarden is way more of a threat than NOED in my opinion. If you go for trades in the endgame and they don't expect you to have it, you can easiily make them confident enough to open the gates. NOED could never honestly. At least not against decent survivors. If you and your team are completely brainless when NOED actives and you don't get tf out or find the totem, that is completely your own fault. Survivors always tend to wanting everyone escape to a point where the killer gets more kills than he deserves. I know it isn't a nice feeling to let someone behind but that's also a thing survivors have to learn. Be smart and don't feed the killer kills for no reasons.

And honestly, if you managed to a loop a killer for 5 gens and you die in the end, you can die happy. Isn't it the most rewarding thing to have long chases as survivors? That feels a lot more rewarding than escaping. At least for me.

  • I have never done it in the way that you are describing it but I remembered the times where I comitted way to long to chases that cost me the game.

For me it was a feeling of being tempted and at the same time triggered. It felt stupid to me that they can loop me for this long (I mean, it is stupid that survivors can literally loop certain killers for 5 gens), so I at least wanted to show to myself that I can get them eventually. So you could say that it is pride. That would also explain why some killers face camp in the end, eventhough I think this is more an issue of "I chased you for the whole entire game and lost it, now I am making sure you don't get out". The better a survivor is at looping and the more you make mistakes while looping, the more it frustrates you. And somtimes you don't even make mistakes but you can't get them if they don't screw up .That's probably the reason in general why killers want to punish good loopers and feel very frustrated. Not because they played toxic but because it gives them a feeling of being powerlessness.

Nowadays I barely don't do these mistakes anymore and now it is more a feeling of being excited and knowing that I am capable of getting them. But still...this can be a big trap. Eventhough I mostly play killers that can actively end chases, that doesn't mean that you make the right reads and the right plays. And I would lie if I would say I never get triggered in a chase. Sometimes, even with a lot of experience and being good at certain killers, you will still encounter that feeling of having nothing you can do.

No matter how much the concept takes as an example, this is a game and it has to be balance.I am not arguing about killers showing mercy, but I argue that after hanging out, having enough time to camp and kill more than 1 person. No matter how smart the survivors are, they don't have enough time to both finish the generator and clean the totem. The time lost to go to save someone from the hook is also for the killer's benefit.(Cause you don't know it's camping until you get to the hook etc).I am never against the camps at the end of the game, but my problem is that she camps and kills at least 2 people at the beginning of the game. When it comes to camping, there are killers who are masters of camping without even having access to advantages such as DS, BT.Also, I do not agree with you on the chase.Maybe for that moment you can play bad or the killer may do something you didn't expect and so you can hang on the hook right at the beginning of the game. While these problems cannot be dealt with, there is also a matchmaking problem. The games where the killer rank 1 survivors come to rank 12 are very different in terms of talent and game knowledge. It then makes the game against the camp even more difficult for survivors.

True, you don't know if the killer camps. So you run towards the hook and if you see that the killer does you go back to do a gen if you don't have helpful perks or want to risk a trade. That's the right and smart way to react. Camping will never give the killer two or one kill before all the gens are done if people are playing correctly. I stick with this statement because it is what it is. Don't fall for the trap and you won't get punished for it.

Screwed up matchmaking is actually the only time I ecounter camping killers and they get destroyed by red rank survivors because they are doing it. And hey...it doesn't really matter if Rank 12 survivors are matched with a camping Rank 1 killer (which must be pretty rare because you will never get Rank 1 with camping lol). Most Rank 1 killers will destroy a rank 12 survivor group simply because of clear difference in skill and experience. Against a camping killer, even if it is a rank 1 killer, you can do gens, you have an actual chance to escape. But if you encounter a Rank 1 killer who does play the game efficient you will probably not get one gen done. Camping is extremely punishing for the killers. Point and pip wise.

And that's why the complains about camping and tunneling are completely uneccessary. You should rather make a thread about the actual problem which is your teammates. Solo Queue experience. Bad teammates are the only reason why bad camping and bad tunneling works.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2WUETs0cA4&t=456s

You can apply this video to every camping and tunneling scenario. Of course, not every survivor will be a good looper but that doesn't really matter. The easiest way to win this game is by simply holding M1. If survivors are doing that in an efficient way, 2-3 gens will be done after one chase in the beginning because the killer is at his weakest state in the start of the game. It should never happen that someone dies to camping in the start of the game. Something went heavily wrong if the killer really manages to do that.

Oh and btw: I truly agree that the game should be balanced. And if it is we will see less camping and tunneling killers because killers would be actually able to engange in longer chases without being punished for it.

The current state of the game is forcing more and more killers into "scummier" and "tryhard" playstyles to get at least one or two kills in their game. You can't 12 hook everyone. If survivors aren't throwing the game at some point you have to apply some form of pressure. That's why I said play both sides so you actually understand the real balance issues. The game isn't that killer sided anymore if you play against survivors who have more than 500 hours.

You even see it in this video. It shouldn't be possible to loop a killer for that long, even if he isn't that good. If survivors aren't making mistakes you will never get them, as long as you don't play a killer that can actively end a chase. DBD isn't a 1 vs 1 game, it is a 4vs 1 game and that's exactly why someone has made a post on how the Loop mentality destroys the game. And the person is right. It does. The objectives of killers and survivors are not matching up when it comes to the time it takes to do a gen and to kill one person. Not only that, but if you kill people too fast or in the wrong way, you will get punished for it.

  • it doesn't make you any less of a bad killer if you have to resort to camping and tunneling to get your precious 4k

If a killer really is tunneling and camping and he still manages to get a 4k, I would honestly give him a big round of applause, considering the survivors must be really bad in order to make that work.

With that being said: Don't fall for it. It is a strategy, no matter how scummy you find it.

Look at all the famous horror movies. No killer with a decent amount of sanity will leave his prey. Camping has its originis deeply routed in the horror genre and DBD wouldn't be the same without it. Surely we all don't need a facecamping bubba, but camping at a certain point, or tunneling someone out of the game, is the only way for a killer to apply pressure and turn the game around when it doesn't look good for him. You might argue that it's the killers own fault that the game isnt in his favor but sadly due to rng, the current gen meta and the possibilty to loop most killers for 5 gens, you can be the best killer in the game and still lose without having any chance to do something about it. And that just doesn't feel nice.

So...should we also talk about the strategy that survivors tend to rush gens when the game get's rough for them? Should we talk about the strategy that is called "SWF" and is basically cheating because it completely takes away the killers unpredictability? DS into locker? DS into rushing a gen? Hiding out Corrupt? Tapping a gen so it doesn't regress right infront of the killers face? Bodyblocking with three people so the killer isn't able to hook a survivor near the exit gate?

The list is long and all of these strategies are also "scummy" because they aren't a lot of fun for killers. But they still exist, and you know what: that is fine. Everyone tries their best to win in this game and it's okay to use everything that the game is giving to you. A lot of this is clearly unbalanced but it would be dumb to not use it, if it will make you win the game.

Do what you can to win but don't blame the other side for doing the same.

Besides...there are perks that can help you with camping and tunneling. You can counter it. Be happy about that. Survivors have many second chances, more than they actually need. If you and your team are not using them, don't blame the killer.

Eventhough there are a lot of people who don't want to admit it but DBD is competetive. It's not your casual "I just wanna have fun with my friends" game. So don't expect that everyone will play "fair and square". I bet there isn't a single survivor who says to his teammates "Let's not rush gens or use meta perks this game so the killer has fun too" and yet survivors still have the audacity to tell the killer how he should play the game. Stop.

Everyone can play how they want even if that ruins the fun for someone in the game. Just move on after the game or use the encounter as a form of learning. Look what mistakes you have made that could have helped the team or could have turned the game around for you. Create your own strategies for these situations.

Fun means winning in this game, at least for the majority of this community. And there isn't just enough time to 12 hook everyone which revolves into killers that will camp and tunnel to get their kills. I am sure that most killers would actually want to have a lot of different chases that will later on reward them instead of punishing them. But that's not how the game currently works. Sadly.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1738037#Comment_1738037

One is this is not a horror movie. If you understand this first, I can argue with you.

This game has its origins from the classical horror concept. Chased and being chased. Killing and surviving.

There is no killer who shows mercy. Think about that. And yet survivors still have an opinion about how a killer should behave in this game.

Yeah, no. That's not how it works.

And as I said: camping and tunneling has counters. Use them. Don't blame the killer if something that is punishing in nature works out for him because the survivors were simply bad.

There is a difference of course. Actual camping and tunneling aren't strategies because they will not win you the game if the survivors are smart. I agree with you here.

Camping because you know someone is in the area is a strategy. Camping to force the second hook stage is a strategy. Pseudo camping because you can't protect the gens that are too far away is a strategy. Camping because you play against a cocky SWF that want to instantly rescue is a strategy. Camping in the endgame because there is nothing left to do is a strategy. And tunneling to get someone out of the game when you have only 2 gens left and no pressure is a strategy too. And still...there are counters. (BT,DS,being smart and good at the game in general, flashlights, gen rush)

All of the scenarios listed above are versions of camping and tunneling in an effective way and therefore not scummy at all. The purpose isn't to destroy someones fun but to actually win the game in a smart way. Nothing wrong with that. Survivors also rush gens when the game gets rough. Survivors also bodyblock when the killer gets someone at the exit gates. Survivors will use every second chance (and oh boi, they have a lot of them) to win. And that's okay. But everyone is allowed to do that.

So...I hope this answer pleases you more than the one before. Let's not argue though. You don't play both sides so there isn't anything to argue about. We are all biased by nature but you can't play both sides and make such a post. And if you play both sides you aren't in red ranks which is the only valid representation of the current meta. There will never be a scenario in red ranks where a killer camps , and by that I mean really really camps, a survivor and not 5 gens are done atfer it. The killers has invested time to find, chase, down and hook the survivor which is in most matches equal to 2-3 gens already. If the killer camps and the survivors will stick on gens the game is over before the survivor dies. Everything else is missplay by the survivors and not the fault of the killer.

This is really just a case of getting good at the game and having a bit of luck with your teammates.

I barely face hardcore camping and tunneling killers and if I do it always punishes them more than the team. Just one person with BT can change the whole game. Think about that.

  • I can recommend you CoconutRTS. I think he is by far the best huntress main in the game right now. He has guides on his channel, he talks about the usage of crosshair (which most huntress mains have used or still use) and he has a lot of high skill gameplays.

His build is rather on the aggressive side and won't do much if you are a beginner though.

My favorite build on Huntress is Corrupt, Nurse's, BBQ and the last perk always changes. Sometimes I take Pop, sometimes Whispers, sometimes Iron Maiden. I'm all ears is also very good on huntress (helps you with your window shots).

You should focus on gen slowdown in the start. If you are not a master of your hatchets the games will be very short so you need time to learn chasing with her. She is very slow and missing will punish you a lot.

Huntress has a very long learning curve, probably even longer than Nurse because there is more to master on Huntress when it comes to long range shots, trick shots, thread the needle shots and so on. It is worth it though. It will take time but she is in my opinion the most satisfying killer in the game. And she can be extremely scary if played well.

  • Just practice. It feels like a jump into the cold water and yeah, you will lose a lot of games but you'll get better.

I started learning Nurse at Rank 1. That wasn't a pleasant expierence but I didn't give myself the pressure to kill people and do well with her so I actually had a lot of fun on the way. You should put your focus on learning the killers power instead of winning. And I personally think you can learn a killer better if you get crushed really hard. If you play killer in low ranks you are most likely going to dominate every match but that doesn't give you a lot of improvement.

Oh... one more thing: Close the endgame chat during the process of learning a new killer.

  • I would honestly rate this killer lower than Clown.

Hitting people with Victor isn't easy and takes time if survivors are running around stuff. The moment he missed he can be easily crushed by survivors. Lockers are everywhere around the map and the biggest counter to him. And if someone decides to not get rid of Victor the killer has no power.

With that being said playing Victor is just a waste of time and has a high chance of failing completely due to many different reasons making The Twins just a basic M1 killer with no real pressure.

Using your power comes at high risk but it has no high reward compared to other killers like Nurse. Victor doesn't insta down people (which would justify the high risk of using him and all the counters). And also..if Victor is attached to a survivor that wants to leave the game, the moment you down the survivor he falls out and still escapes.

At the current state The Twins are in my opinion the weakest killer in the game.

I really like the idea though. The killer mechanic itself is very fun and complex but not fitting for the state that this game is currently in.

  • Go watch some horror movies and tell me in which one does the killer leaves his prey and let it escape.

I am pretty sure you can't find one.

With that being said: Don't play a a game where camping. tunneling and slugging is a valid strategy if you just can't deal with it. There are enough ways to counter it where it punishes the killer and not the whole team.

  • Do you know that horror film where the killer leaves his prey and let them escape?

    Me neither.

With that being said, as scummy and unfun camping is in this game, it is a valid strategy and the devs have mentioned many times that killers are allowed to do that.

If you don't want to be camped play a game with a different genre. A killer's job is to kill people, how he is going to do that is up to him.

Be happy about the killers who actually play in a "fair" way eventhough that hurts them kill wise because the game is not made for 12 hooking everyone. And just move on if you had one of these camping matches. It doesn't give the killer much points and he won't pip. Keep that in mind.

Sure, that might not stop people from doing it but there are a lot of toxic and frustrated people in this game who are wanting to make the game miserable for the other side. That's just something we have to accept and expect if we press "Ready".

If that destroys your fun in the game to an extend that you can't ignore it, take a break.

Camping, slugging and tunneling will always be in this game. By taking that away the killer would never have a change to turn the game around when it looks pretty bad for him. That's the only other way to apply pressure when you get gen rushed besides from having NOED or Bloodwarden in your build.

With that being said, survivors do have a lot of counters against these strategies. But if that is still not enough then you might consider to switch to another game. That's the only advice I can give you.

  • You will never make it right for the people in this game.

I had a game as nurse, on Lery's. where I killed everyone before even one gen was done. I didn't tunnel, I slugged the person with DS to give them another chance, I actively ignored survivors that were recently on the hook and tried to go for a new target even when they were right around the courner. But still...guess what: I am a tryhard.

There are so many pathetic crybabies in this game, unlike everything I have ever seen before.

But tbh I don't really mind the teabaggers and clicky clicky's. There are usual the ones that go down in under 10 second and then rage quit. Enhances my amusement.

Still...this community needs some serious improvement. More understanding for both sides and less broken egos.

And yeah. Rank do matter, at least for killers. You need to actually kill people to rank up while as a survivor you can never interact with the killer and even die and perform great.

I don't want to say that playing survivor is easy mode because it takes skill to loop properly but eventually you have figured out how that works and you can loop most killers very well across the whole entire map. That and the fact that there are so many second chance perks gives many people the felling of being superior t the other side. That feeds a broken ego that doesn't have a successfull life or is frustrated for whatever reasons and gives them a good opportunity to bully their opponent.

As I said: babies and we have a lot of them in this game. On both sides ofc, but everyone who plays both sides knows that there are more toxic survivors than killers.

  • Because their main focus is on making a lot of money. The Halloween event which was basically another battle pass made that pretty obvious.

It doesn't even surprise me anymore that we get another Killer before they even consider to fix all the existing bugs that came with the graphic updates and the updates before.

Their main focus is on new players that will spend a llittle bit money here and there and leave the game eventually. That's why we are getting so many new skins, new DLC's and the graphic updates because that makes the game more interesting for new costumers.

The longterm playerbase, sadly, is not what the devs care about.

  • How can this be a small PP build if it is the counter to the current gen rush meta that is clearly overpowered?

    Doesn't even makes sense.

Youd be surprised how many downs I get with nurses. Ik that everyone expects it. Doesn't change the fact that it works a lot. I'm all ears is useful, but I dont think its as good as any of the perk I mentioned. Infectious I vowed never to use again, because I felt bad for playing THAT shameless. I use whispers to find people FASTER, because I'm at that level with her, that if I see you, youre dead, meaning that the faster i find people, the faster i down them, the faster i get more pressure, and therefore the faster gens slow WAY down.

Well yeah, Infectious is indeed shameless if you play her well. That's true.

I might consider giving Nurse's another chance if you say it works well. The perks just felt useless in most of my games but that was one year ago when I started playing her.

First of all, everyone knows that Nurse is the best killer in the game.

Second, no perk is mandatory on Nurse except shadowborn.

Third, the arguably best Nurse build in this game is BBQ, Whispers, Shadowborn, and A Nurses Calling.

Fourth, her best addons are blink recharge.(Fragile Wheeze and Dark Cincture.)

Fifth, newer Nurses shouldn't use plaid flannel, or they'll get used to it and won't ever know blink distances without it.

Sixth, I'm very glad to see more Nurses, since she's one of my favorite killers to play against! Have fun playing her!

Seventh, what outfit do you use? I don't know what to wear lol. I usually wear Grim Veil+Reaper Wedding Dress+Bloodied Bone Cutter, but I'm bored of that and don't know what to wear.

I came to the conclusion that Nurse's calling isn't that good on Nurse, simply because everyone expects you to have it. Therefore people will make sure to not heal in her range.

I prefer Infectious and I'm all ears. Especially the last one is insanely good on her.

I would also say you don't need Whispers. At least I never had a problem finding people with Nurse because they have to do a gen, sooner or later.

And yeah, I agree on the add on thing. Her recharge add ons are making her even more powerful.

  • I wouldn't call it toxic but completely unefficient and time wasting for the whole team.

If you really kobe infront of someones face that person has wasted time that could have been invested in doing a gen. Besides...you are denying people of their points which is not being a good sports.

I am really tempted to not unhook someone if they try to kobe, I am not gonna lie.

If you don't have the achievement, okay I understand, but aside from that there is no good reason for doing it.

And I honestly can understand that some people are taking it personal. So for the sake of making the community more supportive and less toxic people should stop doing it.

  • Camping is a strategy and the devs have said many times that it is completely fine to do it.

Not depipping when someone DC's is a good idea and I hope they will implement that in the future.

yeah, keep telling yourself that. i've played this game for 3 years on both sides, i think i am aware of the facts. the stats and also all the previous stats show us how things are in REALITY no matter how they have come out. Killer role is too powerful right now, stop trying to prove anything else, you're just fooling yourself. I won't argue with you anymore.

If you really think killers are too powerful why aren't we looking at stats that are applying to every game?

By the time that a killer has found, chased, downed and hooked a survivor, normally around 2-3 gens are about to be done. That's an equivalent of 40-60% of the survivors objectives done while the killer has only done around 8%.

If the killer is not able to apply a good amount of pressure with slugging, tunneling, proxy camping or the survivors are doing some heavy mistakes, the game is already lost. The only way to come back from this is with a good endgame build which is probably more consistent for kills right now than slow down perks.

This scenario is pretty common and normal if everyone works efficient. Even in my last Solo queue games the killers were only able to get a few hooks before the game was over.

It's really not that hard to escape and if you have really played both sides you would know that as well.

  • Let me guess: Your next complain will be about Hag and Trapper, am I right?

  • You can't win

Exactly. There will always be a person that doesn't agree with your playstyle even if you are the most angelic killer being in the game.

So...it's time that you decide for yourself what kind of playstyle you enjoy the most. Because your own opinion should be the only that matters here.

You can never make it right, so why even care?

  • The problem with DS is that it gives survivors god mode for 60 seconds.

It should punish killers for tunneling but instead you can chase another person and hook them, just to find the survivor from before again and get DS in the last second. There are also other scenarios where survivors are hopping on gens or forcing their DS in a locker. That goes beyond the original purpose of this perk.

It really needs it's duration reduced and it should completely deactivate if survivors are starting to work on a gen. If you have the time to do a gen you can't be tunneled, right?

But then if I run ruin/undying I'm a trash killer using the small po build

Just run everything you want even if it is considered OP. Survivors will bring what they want so you should do the same.

I personally find killers reliant on their addons to be considered low tier. You have to have something makes it fast to put down traps, and you have to have something to trigger her traps earlier.

Good example of other killers who are addon reliant are Clown and Wraith. Clown has to have exhaustion in his bottle for it to do any real good, and wraith you need to have a good combo of addons. (I prefer things that make it faster to vault/kick with faster disappearance/or reappearance rate.)

No you don't. You can play her easily without add on's and the one that triggers your traps earlier is sabotaging you more than helping.

Hag doesn't even need perks tbh. She is something else.

EDIT: So I played her and her mechanics are working how they should. At least for the games that I played her. But as I said: if you use the add on that will increase your trap radius, you are not going to be able to hit people with your instant teleport because they will be too far away. Don't ever use that add on unless you are playing body block hag.

  • Do you use the add on that increases your trap range? That might be the reason for your instant teleports not working.

Hag is by far one of the most stronges killers right now if played well.

BUT...alot of things are bugged right now, so I wouldn't be surprised if hags power isn't working properly. I haven't played her in awhile so I don't know. But she should face the survivors when a trap is being activated. If that doesn't work properly that's pretty uncool. I need to test it soon.

  • Predict where he is going to shot and dogde it.

The other advice I can give you is to just expect that your chases will not be that long against him. He is a strong 1 vs 1 killer but that doesn't mean people need to throw a tantrum against him and just DC.

The killer should be the power role and survivors being able to loop certain killers for 5 gens is not okay and the reason why the game is a lot harder for killers.

The way to win is to buy as much time as possible for your team, while the rest needs to be efficient on gens.

  • Huntress. Was pretty good with her for a long time but I suddenly miss the easiest hits with her.

In this same vain, I play on console where my account is the primary main account. My husband has a secondary account linked. My game works fine, crashes once in a blue moon, his has gotten 24 hour bans because the game won't stop crashing.

Same internet, playing at same times of day, same console, everything is the same sans the account. Plenty of people do have game crashes where others do not, that doesn't make it a non-issue.

I am aware of the issues on console right now and I have never meant console players with my statement because everyone knows that playing on console is extremely laggy at the moment.

But the person wo created this post is guilty of disconnecting many times on his free will before his game even crashed. He already made a post about his 48 hour ban where he confirmed that, aside from other post where he thinks killers are too strong in this game. I honestly don't think that someone who has insane issues with crashing would ignore that to a point where it reaches 78 hours.
