Why are Sacrifical Wards, green rarity?
You may get a terrible map anyways due to RNG, survivors not using a map offering or negating the ward.
As a brown it would atleast be more accessible, more useful than the 50% BP offers
-
I would want a full rework on Dying Light it buffs a single survivor & doesn't affect them at all.
3% per hook is laughable
-
As likely as getting the single piece rift cosmetics or System Smasher Nea.
-
You realized that just now?

I wish they revert thanatophobia to its original perk. 4% healing decrease and 4% for generators per injured survivor up to 16%. I kinda miss using the perk as killer.
Heal slowdown won't happen due to Hemmorage, Mangled already doing 25% and the selfhealing slowdown.
It's amazing how utterly worthless Thana has become with it's injure 4 people condition.
-
Gift of Pain > Thanatophobia
Dying Light sucks no matter which killer
-
How will this make money for bhvr?
-
Just use Scourge Hook : Grift of Pain.
Sloppy & Thanatophobia in a single perk.
-
Torment on hit won't make it alongside changing his addons.
Expect atleast a year before there's another buff like his Egg having double the killer instinct.

wish they would just rework ghost face Myers and the pig so none of the have on demand no terror radius it super annoying and most my teammates dc because they don't know how to stop spanning their no terrors' just to get a free hit off on a gen ghost face is the worst for this and only going to get even more worse after the new update
Complaining about Stealth killers having Undetectable that's like complaining about fishes swimming in water instead of air.

I just wish sac wards were more common.
Almost as if such an addon should be a literal brown addon or get reimbursed whenever the survivors aren´t using a map offering.
-
Twins, Deathslinger, Nurse´s chase theme, Billy, Trapper aren´t a priority it seems.
-
Hillbilly 3 weeks before his nerf.
I'm glad i choose to play his nonshit version before his addons & basekit became crap.
-
Just use up on of the few sacrifical wards you'll get every 3-5 bloodwebs, killeroid. /s
Or have your internet connection break unintentionally during every offering screen. /j
Or play Nurse/Blights /n

Why are houses allowed to have two windows on the same wall? That is my main grief of the new map.
It's so Bamboozle isn't a problem there.
I wonder what the map designers were thinking by adding a 8 loop.
-
@Coffeecrashing said:
Has anyone considered that BHVR might be totally against the idea of curving becoming more powerful?
The map changes were done on purpose. We used to have so many tiles that were just a bunch of 90 degree angles, and now we have lots of debris loops, and other tiles that were purposely designed so that killers can't easily slide or curve around them.
You except the devs to intentionally make loops shittier because of curving?
I wonder what your thoughts are on Haddonfield having more than just one house of pain.
-
Deadlock nerf is gonna happen and it's gonna be soon.
-
It's pretty funny how Billy's heat got changed, an attempt was made to ruin his engravings and nothing else.
-
Spoken like someone who isn't using Distortion as his pfp.

Imagine complaining about best boi and comparing him to Scum Merchant

Funny how mobile DbD has the option to turn it off...like what the hell?
Devs aren't from Quebec.

I wish hex perks had a requirement to light up the totem especially since they sometimes spawn in plain sight and near a gen.
Blood Favor, Face the Darkness & Third Seal light up when injuring someone,
Ruin when they let go of a gen, Crowd Control after a survivor vaults
Plaything & Huntress Lullaby when hooking someone
Rest of the hexes can stay always lit up such as Haunted Grounds, Devour Hope, Undine, Thrill of Hunt etc.

It's absurd to me that Pig got her own SAW tome in 2022 and multiple updates but doesn't get her own music. 🤷
They probably couldn´t get the rights for Hello Zepp.
-
How about balancing the maps to be neither sided?
Or making the sacrifical wards be a brown and reimburse-able if no survivor brings in a map offering.
-
If only it was possible to make the weapons of every killer be transparent but knowing the spaghetti code that would probably end up making the entire killer transparent/invisible.

It's been like almost 3 years since the fifth tome has been introduced featuring this cosmetic, yet still more recent tome cosmetics than this one are being brought back to the shop, for example: "Punk Rebellion" which is another Nea's cosmetic that was featured in Tome 10. Is there any particular reason why that cosmetic hasn't been brought back? I just wanna know.
It is poosible that the Announcer described the skin to be exclusive to that Rift.
Just listen to the tome which had Felix's ski suit and listen to a recent Rift, way different wording.

Dead by an even deader Borderlands
Must be nice to get a RIFT right after their DLC.

BHVR are you actually going to continue to idly sit by doing nothing while this bug continues to be exploited and promote negative gameplay?
They're waiting for the Sadako sales to go down before they killswitch it, duh.

They should rework this add-on to only inflict deep wound if you break the chains on the environment.
(and also make it so pinhead can't break or block the chains with his own body so that he can't force the environment breaks and simultaneously increase his power's usability)
Knowing BHVR they'll implement the first part and ignore everything within the () bubble.
It's funny how OG Pain went from F tier to S tier due to the 6.1.0 shakeup.
-
@Brokenbones said:
The only way I'd see them nerfing deadlock is by making it only proc on 1 gen at a time, right now it can block multiple at one time
Hopefully not though, I think it's pretty balanced considering it's a give and take perk. You need to lose a gen to block a gen.
Deadlock only blocks the gen with the most progress.
Dead Man Switch & Thrilling Tremors block multiple gens

I thought they said they would partically unlink sets, even if thats keeping kates dress locked but letting you switch out head or something
That won't make them money.
Btw Old Lady went from unlinked to linked to unlinked.
Pinhead's purple skin is also a linked set

Yeah, can't wait they buff Unrelenting to 35% to compensate all this nerfs.
Nerfed to be 10% for the first missed attack, +5% for every other missed attack up to 5 tokens.
After a survivor dies maximum amount of obtainable tokens are 3 (20%)
Gotta make sure it's as useable as Thanaphobia.

Even back in 2019 or when the first RE DLC came out?

The only info I got from them was that it was a CPU issue that they were working on.
It was a HDD issue.
For Dbd you need a SDD and hope the next incomplete DLC isnt worsening the games performance

When you have thousands of hours, you learn about the game deeply. You learn its mechanics, and everything about it. Possibly as well as the devs do. At that point you can see the imbalances. And then you see the devs basically vocally saying they don't believe that/will never ever ever change it. So, then you just leave since the devs are clearly not going to fix things, and you have enough hours to see this stuff.
I very much felt that way during the ol' "Hockey Analogy" stream
Oh yeah a 6v6 like Hockey would made a great analogy for a 1v4.

6.1.0 had so many changes for either side it's impossible to quantify it like that.
For example, killers gained 0.2 seconds on pallet breaks, and lost nearly all of their meta gen regression, however it turned out the gen regression they got in return made up for it.
Meanwhile survivors lost endgame DS and Dead Hard, only to gain a new Dead Hard a couple weeks later when they all realised it wasn't a nerf at all. In addition to basekit BT, super-buffed OTR, and a host of minor buffs to perks like Spine Chill, Lucky Break, etc.
To say that it "massively" favoured either side is insane hyperbole.
You forgot the whole "buffed perks ended up being nerfed afterwards" and "BHVR now sells more gen speed perks"
-
Consoom product and get exicted for next product.
-
Tfw Shadownborn basekit or FOV sliders won´t be a thing for those that get motion sickness because that´s a comp advantage.

It was a build dedicated entirely to healing fast. You needed quite a bit of set up for desperate measures, and you would have no perks for anything else.
It's kind of like saying a killer using an endgame build is busted because they can negate the survivors' work. In order for that to happen, the killer can possibly lose all the pressure in earlier game, and when they finally reach endgame, having only one hook is gonna be pretty hard to recover from, even with 24 endgame perks.
Botany (50%), Green Medkit (50%) + charge addons and now you can heal yourself fast and do it atleast twice.
Maybe add in Circle of Healing for an extra 50% speed and there are still two slots for other perks.
@Emoba said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3380357#Comment_3380357
So you agree that only green medkit's self-healing speed needed to be looked at?
Not just the speed but how using a yellow medkit with a single charge addon allows two heals for yourself and perks like Franklin´s being useless against pre-dropped items.
-
I´m sure they´ll buff the duration of the Expired Batteries by 10% for an even 50%.
Just like with the Exposed Iridescent´s of Twins, Nemesis and Deathslinger.
-
"The whole point of bringing a medkit is healing yourself. This means all self healing builds (you know, those fun ones where you stack healing speed) are now almost dead."
It´s almost like negating a killer´s work within 10s is busted.

@Sandt21 said:
Expired Batteries is a Skull Merchant Ultra Rare add on that starts each survivor with a claw trap, but they only last for 40 percent battery charge before expiring. That’s it. That’s all it does.
Let’s talk some numbers. For each survivor trackable via your tracker, either by claw trap of drone, the SM gets a percentage boost in her movement speed, by a factor of 3%, 5%, 6%, and 7%.
The claw traps made via expired batteries only last 40% of their normal time before dieing. A normal claw trap last 45 seconds. 10% is 4.5 seconds. Multiply that by 4, and and you have the initial batteries created by expired batteries lasting a total of 18 seconds.
So, the sole purpose of this add on is tracking at the start of the game, and 18 seconds of an additional 7% of speed, bringing you up to 123% speed for less then a third of a minute.
im of the mindset that add ons are much more valuable and important to the game then perks. Add one change a weak killer into a strong killer. (circumstances permitting, of course.)
So my question is, what are your thoughts? Is Expired Batteries really strong enough to justify being an ultra rare, or even a very rare? Because something that is only strong for less than a third of a minute before turning off for the rest of the game seems………….terribly lacking.
Skull Merchant has some strong add ons. Some of the strongest are of a much lower rarity. (The one that gives oblivious while in a drone’s radius and for 15 seconds afterwards is likely her strongest add on, and that’s a green.)
id love to hear the thoughts on those who use the new Expired Batteries. Was it worth it? How strong did it make your early game? Is it worth running this over Lethal Pursuer?
4.92m/s * 18s = 88,56m,
4.6m/s * 18s = 82,8m
Distance Gainz of 5,76m and you basically get a one-time use of a worse Lethal Pursuer.
I´m pretty sure a brown addon would have more usage in a match and work multiple times instead of just once at the beginning.
-
"Even if people wanted to pretend there was nothing you could do against it at pallets (there was), the sensible change would be to make it so pallets couldn't be dropped for a short delay after using it."
Not a chance that the spaghetti coding wouldn´t just lock you out of using pallets/windows for the rest of the match.
Marvin´s Blood, Mikhail´s Eye, Toy Sword, Stale Biscut, Engravings all nerfed due to being the only viable addon in a sea of useless addons.
It´s a miracle that Pyramidhead´s range addons weren´t nerfed somehow.

Map wide exponential... that would be fun for sabo squads!
Otherwise, dark theory may actually be OP then, as 2% haste at all times would be pretty strong.
Idk about shadow step.
Shadow Step removes your scratchmarks alongside negating aura reading entirely.
-
They´re just making sure that none of the base game killers are fun to play as or strong to play.
(I wouldn´t consider Nurse strong since playing her requires to actively ruin your eardrums with that stupid chase theme)
-
This is just Knight´s version of a buff where you get Haste for a few secs.

Yes, the current DS is complete garbage. If they made the base mechanic mini ds in 3 seconds then I wouldn't say anything BUT they just turned the only perk from tunneling into a complete dump and gave nothing in return for the survivors. I think for this reason every game is camping and tunneling. I'm so tired of her already
basekit BT is nothing?
-
Why not turn it into a perk that encourages leaving the hooked survivor?
"Whenever you hook a survivor gain 5% haste for as long the survivor is hooked when being 32m away from the hook"
Leverage´s current effect is just a worse Dying Light

Awesome! That's good to know, thank you very much for the information. Next time I'll be sure to review known bugs prior to posting.
You don´t need to check the known bugs section if it´s about cosmetics looking the same with barely any differences it could be intentional like Haddie´s heads only changing the color of the jewelry instead of her hair streak.

I think Dead Hard needs a full rework like Ruin did. In my opinion, nothing will make the perk less frustrating without making it completely useless.
But "we" want our 3rd health state perk instead of being limited to only two. /s
Just play Pinhead, Legion & Deathslinger 3 out of 31 Killers that can avoid dead hard even when survivors intentionally stay injured.
