You failed in doing your objective, losing the killer
Not at all, the survivors objective is to survive. It's not to lose the killer, it's not to loop him, it's not even to save other survivors. It's to survive. Full stop.
If I can loop the killer for 5 gens and trot my butt out the exit gates I should pip because I did my objective. I survived.
Just like if the killer can kill everyone with five gens left they should pip because they did their objective. "Showmanship" which is what I like to call all these things the devs are adding.
"Kill everyone under 5 gens in 9 mins"
"Walk out the gate saving everyone, cleansing every totem, doing 2.5 gens, and twerking real slow out the exit gates."
It's stupid. Who the heck is watching? You could debate the "Entity" wants to be entertained but at the end of the day the game isn't competitive. At all. There's a "ranking" system that doesn't require skill, it requires you to no life the game or SWF to climb it quickly.
If they want to correct unwanted behavior they need to make the corrections actual game mechanics instead of trying to bandaid it with perks or making ranking harder if you don't hop your butt through some hoops and almost ######### by trying to save some survivor from a camper just so you get enough points to safety pip and therefore feed the camper more points that they do not deserve.

And it doesn't need to be. Wiggling just has to be useful which it currently isn't. Plus hooking someone in the basement all the way across the map you can already do. (I do it on Huntress cause she doesn't have any perks besides AGI, IG, DL and BS) but that doesn't mean I always run people to the basement because taking someone to the basement takes time. Do I wanna waste a minute dragging someone from across the map to the basement or do I just wanna take them to the nearest hook and start searching for someone else?
If they removed the wiggle mechanic all together the results would still be the same imo. People will still use the closest hook because it saves time, and time is money for killers. No one drags people to the basement unless they can afford to lose said time, and unless you're packing ruin, than, pop, or any other gen regression/slowing build you really don't have time.
And that's still faster than a survivor running.

Killer mains are SALTY over decisive strike. It is a crutch perk but so is BBQ and Chill, brutal strength, and nurses calling...not to mention all of the aura reading add-ons that could be called a crutch on the killers side. There are both crutch survivor perks (DS, sprint burst, self care) and crutch killer perks. If it works then why ######### about it? If the player using DS acts toxic, don’t assume everybody who runs DS is a toxic player.@Cecaelia said:

I'm sorry but whenever I see a toxic survivor acting all high and mighty running this perk is just silly. You act like you don't care because you abuse loops and get a free get outta jail free card when running this and they have the nerve to say ez in the lobby. I find people that don't run it and can actually run the whole game without it more worthy to the title of being a good survivor.Does BBQ and Ruin make you a good killer? The question can be reversed.

Comparing DS (a perk that gives a free, undeserved escape after failing) to BBQ (a perk that significantly reduces camping) is like comparing Eggs with Bananas.
People have such a short memory. They don´t remember how the game was before BBQ or swivel hooks.
If i see 1 more complaint about BBQ, i swear i´m going full Insidious Basement camper with Leatherface until survivors ask me to equip BBQ again.Do it. Wear that Insidious Basement Leatherface.
How is BBQ and DS any different. Both give undeserving escapes/finds. They are the same in that regard. I've seen killers before BBQ that couldn't find a survivor right next to them, now they just zip on over with the BBQ and Billy and begin the chase. Not to mention let's be honest, if a killer doesn't see one survivor on BBQ he suddenly just stands there and searches every blade of grass even tho 40m is pretty far out lol.

The Candy Man -
Never?
Last time I checked hooks are right on top of each other most of the time so I don't believe they will have problems hooking people unless the survivor strategically went down somewhere where Boil Over would prove useful. Plus right now, the wiggle mechanic is almost useless and really only shines when there's a DS involved. Maybe one out of every 40 games I see someone escape the killers grasp without the other survivors body blocking and/or DS simply due to the hooks being on top of each other most of the time.
-
I feel like Boil Over would be useful if it slowed the movement speed of the killer while carrying you as a counter towards Agi and generally the hooks that are 1m from each other anyways.
-
I absolutely hate WGLF farmers, def during bloodhunt. I'll farm those guys with the killer's support relentlessly.
(You would be surprised how many killers are willing to let you sandbag people that obviously sandbag other allies. No idea why they let me/others do it but I adore killers that tunnel/let us farm sandbaggers.)Survivors that think you need to save them when exit gates are powered and NOED just downed them.
- Survivors that lead the killer to injured allies.
- Survivors that are injured that run the killer back to the hook and then unhook you without BT.
-
With DS if you're not the obsession. Them colliding into objects allow you more time to get that DS off.
After that, nope. It's pretty much another useless perk to go into the same bin as Deju Vu, This Is Not Happening, Resilence, etc.

One of my biggest issues with no mither is that it triggers thanophobia leaving your team in a constant setback.Exactly. At least people who use that perk are generally nice enough to say in pre-game lobby that they are using it so I can leave that lobby fast as hell. Not only are No Mither users handicapping themselves, but they are also handicapping their allies and the 3 other people did not sign up to play a match with No-Mither-Bro keeping us in perma Than with Ruin on top of it.
No Mither, ick.

She should also be able to get more head traps from closets. Everyone else's power is unlimited except hers and it has me like "why?"Because hers is the ONLY Killer power that can actually kill Survivors. I do not disagree with the idea that she should have a limited number of them.
When was the last time RBT actually killed a survivor lol

Give survivors a "downed" counter. The moment they have been downed for 4 or 5 times, is the moment the killer can mori them. No need for hooks or offerings. This way, a killer who downed a survivor several times, but got "robbed" his hook by flashlights, DS, sabotage, hook blocking, etc. still gets his deserved kill.No no, I'm just talking about what you said see?
All I'm saying is that it would be abused. Killers wouldn't hook anyone, they would just down people four/five times and mori them. I honestly don't think a mori without offerings would benefit the game at all.

This would make poor sabo (who is already obsolete) up for deletion.
They still can strategically sabotage all hooks to 99% then destroy them the moment the killer gets close. After they reappear, they can sabotage them to 99% again. I don´t see a problem there.
Permanently sabotaged hooks were OP btw.Yeah but I'm saying, we could just skip the entire hooking bit per your suggestion and just down them 4 or 5 times making sabo soft deleted and mori them on the ground.

To be honest I didn't read what anyone else wrote, just going to give you my opinion on your topic.
No one is going to be afraid of you. The game has been out for two years, most of the people playing have been desensitized to the whole scare tactic. The only killers that still get a rise out of me is "oo there's a hag trap that blew up in my face" and "T1 Myers."
Flashlight - Do not pick people up if you know the survivors have flashlights on their team. Try to be attentive to the sounds in the environment. Don't play with outside music on and so on. Instead listen, and wait a bit. Trust me you have time, just make sure you're keeping track of the down person. You're listen for the sound of breathing (not the moans of the downed person.) Find the guy with the flashlight, hit him, go back to your downed slug. If flashlight dude sticks around, down him and hook him instead to try to take the flashlight out the game or take franklins and just beat it out of everyone's hand.
Decisive Strike - You can carry a survivor for 2.5 to 3s before DS goes off approximately. 1.3/5 for the rare 3 o'clock skill check. (These numbers aren't exact just my experience with it)After the time frame drop the survivor, pick them up, rinse repeat until they are on a hook. If there is no hook nearby, position with your back to a corner and let them DS off your shoulder and just rehunt them back down.
Now as someone who plays both survivor and killer (more survivor tho) I will tell you from a survivor standpoint that when I look at a killer and decide if I'm going to challenge them or not. (Flashlight, pallet, hook rescues, etc) I tend to look at how predatory or lacking the killer is. A killer that takes people down fast, has a good headset/can hear me breathing tend to command a lot more of my respect and forces both myself and other survivors to give them a wider berth.
The reason I think you're being challenged so much by survivors is because they sense that you are new/not certain of yourself yet. It even happens with "seasoned" killers. I tend to call it Apex Predator Syndrome: It's the killers that have 400+ hours that never turn around/look behind themselves, (for no prey would ever be behind the predator!) never clear an area of flashlight users (for no prey would dare try to save someone with a flashlight!), pick up survivors under unused pallets (you get the idea lol), chase someone that loops them when there's a guy working on the gen right next to them, etc. We all know the type I'm talking about.
As for the window thing, it really depends on what type of windows and ledges you're talking about. Are you talking about the T-windows? If so, T-widows are more about winning the mind game or catching up with BL3. I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff but I'm certain the guys above me probably covered the stuff I forgot.
