Mori Mechanic (Super Fun)

If I remembered correctly, the developers talked about the possibility of adding mori to the trial without offerings or perks. I thought this idea was unique but at the same time I want it to be fair!

Dying State Rework:
-Increased bleed out timer to 6 minutes was 4 minutes.
-Every time after the first time you get downed, you'll lose 1 minute of your bleed out timer instantly.
-When you get downed, your bleed out timer won't decrease for the first 5 seconds.
-When you get healed out of dying state or unhooked, if your dying state bleed out timer is at 1 minute or less, you'll enter critical state.
-When in critical state, your screen is displayed in black and white.
-When in critical state, the killer can mori you if your in healthy or injured state.
-If the killer decides to attack you while in the critical state, you'll instantly die.

Edit:
If the killer decides to mori you, the killer will receive half the normal points for devout and malicious emblem.

Offerings and perk mori's will remain unaffected and will give the normal amount of points for both emblems.

As always constructive feedback is always appreciated while non-constructive feedback is not welcomed! :)

  • It sounds fun in theory, but in practicality, anything that benefits killers by leaving the survivors in dying state, will result in unnecessary slugging, thereby prolonging the duration of the match. I agree with the idea of Mori without offering, but it shouldn't be induced. It has to be more situational and harder to achieve without the offering, which will also not make Mori lose it's unique and fun value.

  • This would encourage slugging, which is definitely not fun.

  • Give survivors a "downed" counter. The moment they have been downed for 4 or 5 times, is the moment the killer can mori them. No need for hooks or offerings. This way, a killer who downed a survivor several times, but got "robbed" his hook by flashlights, DS, sabotage, hook blocking, etc. still gets his deserved kill.

But aren't survivors supposed to strategically sabotage hooks now since they don't stay permanently sabboed? This would make poor sabo (who is already obsolete) up for deletion.

They still can strategically sabotage all hooks to 99% then destroy them the moment the killer gets close. After they reappear, they can sabotage them to 99% again. I don´t see a problem there.
Permanently sabotaged hooks were OP btw.

Yeah but I'm saying, we could just skip the entire hooking bit per your suggestion and just down them 4 or 5 times making sabo soft deleted and mori them on the ground.

I just suggested an alternative that would give killers and survivors an incentive to change their play style.
Yours would be to throw the whole hook thing out of the window. I don´t think that they compare.

No no, I'm just talking about what you said see?

All I'm saying is that it would be abused. Killers wouldn't hook anyone, they would just down people four/five times and mori them. I honestly don't think a mori without offerings would benefit the game at all.

  • I have a different mori idea that can potentially stop camping and tunneling. Just like BBQ when you hook 4 different survivors, you will get a chance to mori the next person.

My reasoning behind this is that currently killers tunnel people because hooking other survivors do not benefit them in any way. Also in a couple of days ago somebody wanted 3v1 game to prolong the game and make it harder for the survivors. If you can hook 4 different survivors you will get a 3v1 game with this change.

It should definitely be at least 4 different survivor hooks or it will back fire and cause more tunneling.

I also liked your idea but it can potentially cause more sluggings and benefits killers massively. We need to find a solution for that problem because it is definitely not fun to get slugged.

  • I like the idea of adding more realism to the game. How about survivors react differently than others when seeing the killer. Some will run and scream, some will try to fight back in vain and other will freeze in place allowing for a nice easy down. All survivors are killed within a single attack and at least allowed to crawl away for a few moments as life leaves their eyes. After the match the killer cannot leave the map but is instead forced to stay on the map and contemplate their ways. Until they have truly reconciled with their conscious they will be forced to stay there alone surrounded by silence.

    Sounds like a fun time!

We could test this idea on the PTB and if killers abuse the new mori system. We could make it where the killer only receives half the normal amount of emblem points so in theory, the killer will get two slivers of he does this to every survivor. If the killer doesn't do anything else while he does this... The killer will probably safety if not depip because slugging is very slow and you can get every generator completed in 6 minutes assuming the killer patrols the downed survivor then let's someone heal that survivor just to mori that survivor. Overall, it adds more dynamic to DbD which I really really want more of!
