Not necessarily flashbangs but the whole save mechanic as a whole. Should really reduce the safe window to start blinding down to .2 seconds because .4 is literally just extremely easy.

Basically inquire about the the PTB that gave huntress 3 shiny pins base kit. That is why she is slow while winding.

First, killers are already over powered, they don't need BBQ to be base kit. In fact, killers shouldn't even have aura reading perks.
Second, average killers are capable of killing survivors faster using hooks than slugging with ever be - put a survivor on hook three times, and they're dead, and that's if they don't give up. The only killers who think slugging is an okay thing to do are bad killers.
Third, hook placement is done is such a way where wiggling is useless. There is always a hook nearby, and even more so now that they respawn even after being used to kill a survivor.
Fourth, slugging has only become rampant because there's nothing to defend against it on the survivor's side, and bad killer are taking advantage of it. That's it - good killers don't need to slug.
"Good killers dont need to slug"… can we stop with statements like these? There's always situations for certain things and not taking advantage of slugging when it would benefit you would make you a either a compassionate or bad killer.

Can someone please explain how this mentioned softcap is working and why MMR can't be lowered?
Because I feel exactly the same, I play 2 man swf, we both are casual players who want to have fun after work, definitely not the pros and are constantly 4k'd by sweatiest killers and escaping maybe 1/10 of our games. A few days ago we had KnightLight in our lobby (one of the best competitive players in the best competitive DBD team btw) which is ridiculous because he's just on another level.
Basically soft cap means that even if you are per say 2100 MMR the game still matchmakes you as if you're 1600 MMR. Your actual MMR can keep going higher and higher but it will still always matchmake you around 1600.

Really back at BL? Half the killers cant even get it thanks to powers.

One archetype of maps… everything else he just loses.

Also a Ghostface Main over here, and a Myers secondary. Myers is a mid C tier played correctly, and Ghostface is a Low B tier played correctly. If you truly believe what I just quoted here, you either play at way too high MMR and play too sweaty to make these Killers work, or you simply aren't very good at stealth gameplay. And that's OK, not every Killer needs to be Blight or Nurse, and not everyone is good at everything. :)
I mean as much as comp is not a real scene you don't see any GF's in in comp. Thats because GF is just weak against a team that has somewhat of a clue of what they're doing.

As a Ghosty main, that is true if the Ghosty is playing 'Chaseface' playstyle (which people who don't understand Ghosty play him as such). A Ghosty played correctly gets a stalk and a lunge before the Survivor can reach the loop, or intercepts a rescue, or pushes them to a pallet deadzone so that there is no dodging the down.
Ehh still isn't that good of a killer. Only marginally better than base myers.

@TheSubstitute said:
I think a lot of you are gaslighting him with "skill issue" when the actual issue is matchmaking and that actual escape rates are lower than the official stats due to not including DCs, etc.
I mean there's no excuse for a 3k as a ghost face in an SWF on sheltered woods. A lot of those tiles are just really safe to run.
-
Cmon, "we dont have the slighted chance" meanwhile im seeing 0 outs on eyrie (sure that was a nurse), disturbed ward, ormond and garden? Idk bro seems like major skissue to me. Oh yeah a 1 out against a ghost face…. just how.
-
I mean despite the buffs, that only made him marginally better. Still a killer that needs to pressure super hard by either tunneling or slugging to make work.
-
Efficient multiple self heals was just not good for the balance of the game so no I don't miss old heals.
-
Yeah I still think out of all things he needed, more range in T3 was not the play. The difference in range between t1/2 to t3 is literally game changing and adding more range to t3 wont do much.

it doesn’t matter because killers should earn a kill and not just given to them because they lost the game when they can’t stop survivors from doing 5 gens
Its still the same exact scenario though. The survivor got caught but then is rewarded with a free escape because they get basekit BT and a 4 second stun on top of it basically getting you out the gates against most of the roster. Direct the same energy towards the perk that could LITERALLY allow for the same thing.
-
That would also mean survivor would get a free escape for simply the kill not deciding to play efficient though?

I like how the OP and others can't just admit that they want a guaranteed 4k in a 2v1.
Stop turning this into "oh they just want a 4k" no it's what people complain about, wasting time for no good reason.

I think it’s fun to face both but with Billy his hitbox needs to be nerfed. At least with old blight his hitbox wasn’t enormous.
Billys hitbox is actually quite normal sized given you're able to crouch his power sometimes.

But this "base kit counter" everyone talks about is a form of slowdown.
You have to reveal your aura to the killer at the start of the match, and then go find a corner to drop your item in. It's like lethal pursuer, a mini corrupt intervention, and means you don't have an item until you waste more time going to get it later. Which doesn't even touch on oblivious. And, I can't emphasize this enough: that's if you're "countering" the combo.
It does even more than that if you don't counter it, so it's basically like at least 4 perks in place of two. Or even just one, since people will see weave and automatically assume the killer has franklin's, even if they aren't running it.
It buys the killer like 20 seconds of time if the survivor goes to drop their item at the corner/edge of the map. After that the perk should theoretically be useless. But hey since a lot of bad players are in the game the perk will always get value and be unjustly called upon for a nerf.

The game shouldnt be designed to leave the items you earn in a corner of the map every game because killers need constant aura reading. lol Thats bad game design.
A lot of things counter different things. It's not bad game design its called adapting. Would you rather have a killer lose half their build for the cost of a couple items or have the aura reading? Personally no aura reading is a MAJOR advantage for the survivors especially when they know that those 2 perks could have been more slowdown.
-
@Orionbash said:
Killers have Frankenweave but heaven forbid we have one perk that lets us see pallets.
Franklin attunement is unironically and should be so weak. Survivors control the power of the perk combo and if you simply just… place the items in the corner of a map that killer no longer has access to half their build.

As the person who said that I have to reiterate that Windows does nothing when every pallet is godawful and only slightly better than a dead zone.
There is no reason to nerf it currently.
Maybe on the theatre but most pallets on macmillan, red forest, gideons, crotus prenn, garden of joy, badham, eyrie and autohaven which is a majority of the realms against a majority of the killers…. are just either decent or mostly safe
-
It should have never lost the cooldown to begin with. I see people say "it can get changed when maps arent terrible" not like I see the average window survivor still make every pallet just by holding W.

Not in the middle of high traffic hallways, not hidden behind thick foliage, not RIGHT NEXT TO A GENERATOR, just in places that make sense to hide them.

There are already to much punishiment in this game
Last month i had 2 week where i couldn't play for connection issue, I reached 48h two times. LMAO!
I paid the game and i can't acces it bc 1 out of 6 i was booted out. I OWN the game they can't not letting me acces it for connection issue. I'm not hacking, i'm not exploting. They can't but of course nobody will ever bring them to court for that lol.
Well here's the thing, you don't OWN the game you own a license to have access to it that they can revoke (for certain parts of the game or the game entirely) for breaking TOS/EULA which you agree too when launching the game. While not necessarily in your control the connection issues affect the match you were in by getting DC'd. At that point it's just better to wait out your connection issues.
-
Just remove them at this point or make them a slight increase for that map. Most of the time people who send themselves to a certain map are using the best stuff to be the most boring players.

The perk doesn‘t even do something in 70% of you matches. Either you don‘t even get to endgame, you are exposed, you are healthy and it only makes you exhausted, which is a disadvantage or you are hooked and it doesn’t work. Why should I play a perk that does nothing most of the time? Shure it can get into clutches, but it‘s better to bring anything else than wasting a perk slot for a clutch that doesn‘t even happen in one of ten matches.
If your team completes a gen while you're on hook, thats on them. Thats a player skill issue right there. There is those rare scenarios where everyone has it and its just better to get any adren instead of none for a better chance but most of the time that aint it. Also theres tons of perks that dont do something for the majority of a game but still are used. Thats because survivor on its own is already powerful and perks further enhances that. Also you say exhausted is a disadvantage but how many scenarios are you not already exhausted when the last gen pops? Exhaustion perks by themselves are more than enough to win games and having adren just ignore the already existing effect and give you another 3 second sprint burst along with a health state…. yeah this perk just doesn't need a rework or changes at all.
A perk in which its power is decided by the teams skill is a perk that is normally fine and doesn't need touching. -
@Langweilig said:
It‘s not even strong. Even self care is better. The last nerf was already overkill for this perk.
Nah its still very powerful. Well powerful in the right hands. If you're not up to par at the game you wont see much value in it.

I can't take you seriously. Are you genuinely advocating so hard to be able to hump people on the ground?
You're going out of your way to make everyone else think that it's okay. So you can insinuate youknowwhat on a downed survivor for 4 minutes until they bleed out? Really, that is what you're "fighting" for rn? Gamer, come on.
Edit: as for not being able to include everyone, no you can't, but you can at the very least try.
If that's what you think. Honestly it's not that big of a deal and people who do make a big deal of it seem to not spread that opinion to tbagging despite it being the exact same thing.

No, my initial post was about the action and what it implies, but apparently you can't read lmao. IDC if someone does that to my character, but I have enough emotional intelligence to understand how it can seem to others and how it can make them feel. This is a community game and BHVR has stated multiple times that they're all about inclusion NOT exclusion.
You can't possibly include everyone. That just doesn't work. Its more like "we include people we want to include" or the overwhelming majority. Also people should know the online environment is hostile. If they can't handle it that's a them issue not a game issue.

Pot calling kettle? Your point is about "feelings" as well, seeing how you seem to be allergic to them? You do get that anger, pettiness, frustration, agitation are all feelings as well right? Not just people not wanting to get humped for 4 minutes on the ground by someone who has nothing better to do with their life.
Besides no one here might be directing as much energy towards teabagging, because that is not the topic of discussion here. Have you not seen the forums being filled with umpteenth posts about teabagging in general? If not, go dig around.
Yours was feelings mine was calling out the people who don't direct the same energy towards tbagging. Either way if you don't like the action suck it up. If you get offended by it then it's not your type of game if the communities that way.

@Phantom_ said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3774156#Comment_3774156
It's not about feelings, it's about what the action implies. Hence why it is being done in the first place.
You have:
A. The killer in the power role and,
B. the survivor in the victim role. Downed on the ground.I'm not going to describe more because I don't want to get kicked out of the fog, but you can't deny what the above stated implies.
Yes, it is walking back and forwards. Yes it is just movement and it's all pixels on a screen, but the MEANING behind it is there, no? If not, why the fork do it then?
And you should try to be kind to others, it's really not that fckg hard. But fact of the matter is that most people playing this game are a bunch of dudebros, about whom I have nothing nice to say without getting hauled outta here by the Entity itself.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3774159#Comment_3774159
I almost always get the walking back and forwards whilst playing female characters and as Tubarão. As Leon, Chris or Carlos I only get nods or hit on hook.
Once again that is about feelings. Topics don't get brought up sometimes because some person not might feel comfortable to talk about it. I just don't see people direct this whole energy towards tbagging when BOTH actions' origins are from the same place.
-
Yeah unfortunately if a nerf does go through to this perk (which really shouldnt) it will drastically reduce the chances of people even considering to run it. It's a perk where the competence of survivors determine the strength of it even against franklins.
-
If we keep making rules to stop players feeling to get hurt then we wouldn't have a very interesting game. Given that if you don't like the treatment you're getting… just tab out or look the other way from your screen.

Every word of this is incorrect.
Dedicating half your build
Survivors who are going to "play around" this will see weave and assume you have franklin's. You can literally get full value with just weave right now.
gimmicky aura reading build
Showing nearly permanent auras has already been determined to be a bad idea. See also: old object.
easily countered by taking 10 seconds to walk to the edge of the map
You lose access to your item, you have to reveal your aura to the killer right away (so free lethal pursuer), you're oblivious, and you aren't on gens immediately (free slowdown).
So the killer gets the value of having aura read of lethal, initial slowdown like CI, and that's not only if survivors are "playing around" this combo, but it does even more of they don't.
Sounds like 3 or 4 perks in the slot of two (or even just one, since, as I already said, survivors will see weave at the start and assume you have franklin's).
Yeah doesn't really need to be touched
Absolutely needs to be adjusted.
You would experience franklins first
This one is tied to where the SURVIVORS drop the items so its based off the survivors competence
Most items are already strong but not required so you don't automatically lose without items
It's a perk where the SURVIVORS determine the strength of it and if its survivors that determine the strength of it…. its in a state where it's fine. A killer simply running franklins atunement and corrupt… that killers essentially running 1 perk against competent survivors. -
I mean scratch marks have been getting worse and worse over the years especially so when they make map reworks like ormond or cold wind where scratch marks literally can barely be seen or so bright they blend in.
-
Weave Attunement is literally fine. Dedicating half your build to a gimmicky aura reading build thats easily countered by taking 10 seconds to walk to the edge of the map… Yeah doesn't really need to be touched.
-
@Paternalpark said:
Reminds me when we waited 6 months for DS to be buffed by only 1 second.
Because it really didn't need much of a buff. If it's blight or nurse they simply do not care, a single second increase wont do anything. If its most of the other roster thats an entirely new chase for the power of 1 perk. Overall didn't need to be buffed.
-
KWYF (Kill With Your Friend)
-
I mean getting that close to the hook to begin with while its T3 myers plus can just crawl away. They can only pickup a finite amount of times.
-
That's just called DBD syndrome. Most players just arent as good as they believe or that they're solo Q.
-
In that first round… took the survivors 4:30 to complete all 8 gens. This doesn't really scream "chaotic" to me as I see some people claim it's supposed to be. Definitely should have doubled the gens that the survivors had to do and give more than just basekit buffs to killers when a perk set for surv can give you even more progress on the gen for hitting a great or free MFT.
-
Me when I just…. drop my item away from the gen in a deadzone.

Using exploits is a bannable offense and always has been. People got banned for using the locker exploit as survivor as far as I know so I don't see why it should be treated any differently.
Difference is locker exploits could be used to take the game hostage if the killer wasn't pyramid head or artist. Also you know literal invincibility for running into any locker is WAY more game breaking.
-
Slow down there bud, its an ADDON that needs to be killswitched not the entire killer.
-
Except tunneling doesn't really need to be discouraged? WAY more has to happen to the base game for not tunneling to be a good option against good survivors as most of the killer roster.
Also the effect if it not affecting SWF still has an oversight. Getting in chase doesn't count as a conspicuous action so the freshly unhooked survivor can run to their buddy with OTR and force a perma 25% hinder making any non ranged/mobility killer utterly useless. While yes "well at least its not 3 survivors on a gen" 3 gens should be completed by the time the middle of 2nd chase (at least if the survivor is good at the game) leaving only 2 left to be completed. Even if you add a mechanic of "when within another survivor in chase for X amount of seconds it disables the ability" it will still be powerful to just get a free slow (allowing for at least 1 more loop or distance to another tile) on the killer for simply walking to them.
-
I like the sound notification but in certain scenarios its just blinding me whenever im playing a killer with some sort of range. Should really make it so if you're looking in the direction of the sound notif it makes it go away quicker.
-
I don't play much anymore but self unhooking is so incredibly powerful in terms of efficiency. @board24jason123
-
Meh I would think. The aura reading is cool… if most games didn't have at least 2 distortions.
