One thing I have noticed in the roughly 15 games or so that I played today is that whenever someone would go down after doing a trade, the killer never once slugged them to go tunnel the person that just got off hook, which was way more common when basekit BT was only 5 seconds. Not saying i won't run into any hardcore tunnelers eventually, but if today's matches have been any indication, I'd say the buff to 10 seconds was overall much healthier for the game.
Still saw quite a few campers though.

Appraisal, Pharmacy, and now Blast Mine.
Seems to me that BHVR hates fun, gimmicky perks for survivor.
What's next? Diversion? Head On? Red Herring?
-
I am a simp for Jill, Laurie, mommy Jane, and Kate (before they butchered her face. Bring back the old Kate BHVR!)
Cheryl, Nancy and Nea are cute. And Yun-Jin is a hottie as well. The only female survivor i don't find attractive AT ALL is Claudette (though there seems to be quite a few Claudette fans/simps on here so I might get in trouble for saying that)

I take that as a personal insult :( I'm a meg mainer ( when playing a survivor ) and i help people. Fengs though...oh boy i dont like them, nor Claudettes.
Wasn't implying that ALL Megs were bad, just that all the bad/dumb ones that gave her the notorious 'Meghead' nickname have since started playing Witch Lady instead.
If you're a Meg main in 2022 it anything you should take that as a compliment since I feel like most Megs i run into these days are actually pretty decent at the game (sans for the immersed Sprint Burst Meg i had on my team last night that loved to walk literally everywhere she went and refused to take aggro when two of us were on death hook and she never got hooked once)

Well, as going down in chase early is a skill that needs time to learn and going down near ahook is probably a unlucky coincidence (thinking diferently would be a bit petty), which means they are not intentional, where as not doing gens and instead searching boons all game long is an active descision, I ignored those points, yes.
How is going down near a hook a coincidence? Unless the killer is running Third Seal you pretty much can see the hooked survivor's aura at all times. So there's no reason to run directly towards the hook while being chased unless you're in a proper position to at least trade.
Whenever the killer hooks my teammate and I happen to be close by and I get found, my instinct is to always run the complete opposite direction as far as possible so that someone else can get the save, even if I'm injured and end up running into a complete deadzone. That's what everyone SHOULD do in a situation like that.
I thought trying not to go down near a hooked teammate was just common sense 101, but apparently not.

Soooooo, your point is boons. Well yeah, everybody brings them. At least in my expiriences. Me included.
There's also the part where I mention how Mikaelas never last long in chase and seem to have a habit of going down next to the hook. But sure, ignore all that and only pick out the part tidbit that you wanna see/hear.
EDIT: I should also point out and make it clear that I don't actually hate Boons as a mechanic or anything. My problem is that most Mikaelas literally do nothing all game but go around Booning everything while also being dogwater at the game.

Whats wrong with her? (I don't main her anymore, but I'm still curious).
They're the new Megheads. Like I am convinced that all of the Meg players that were bad at the game just moved over to the newer redhead.
They love to spend so much valuable time wandering around the map looking for a totem to boon even if they end up spending more time doing that than repairing gens. And they last 10 seconds in chase only to go down 15 feet away from a hooked teammate. I've lost count how many times a Mikaela has brought the killer over a hooked survivor and go down near them, causing me or one of my teammates to go into 2nd stage and/or die.
I have yet to see a Mikaela who was what someone would call a "juicer" at the game, at least not one that actually mains her.
The only positive thing I can say about Mikaelas, or at least her perks, is that IF someone is able to bless a totem with CoH early on in an area where there's no active gens (aka an area where the killer has zero reason to go over to) it can often carry the entire team to victory even in matches where the survivors would normally be f***ed. But literally any character can bring CoH, sooooooooo yeah.

Welcome to the I dislike Feng min mains club
Not only do Feng mins love sandbagging a lot in solo q they also promote bad gameplay learning with technician and get a majority of the cosmetic drops
There is nothing and I mean NOTHING worse than Mikaela players. I'd much rather have three Fengs on my team than three Mikaelas. Any day of the millennium.
Only time I'll ever lobby dodge as survivor is if I see more than one Mikaela.

Balanced Landing, Head On, Empathic Connection, Kindred, Open Handed, Autodidact (when you can ACTUALLY GET VALUE OFF IT), Diversion, Babysitter, Aftercare, Blast Mine, and Residual Manifest.
I'll admit I don't play much killer these days (I'll try to get more back into it sometime in the near future) but back when I played it a lot more, even more so than survivlr, I'm my favorite perks to use were Enduring, Brutal Strength, BBQ (back when it gave those sweet extra BP), Shadowborn, Remember Me (before it got nerfed), Agitation, Monitor & Abuse, Surveillance, and Iron Maiden (for Doc and Huntress)
As you can probably tell, I always preferred chase-themed perks along with the occasional info perk when playing as killer as opposed to your typical slowdown/regression perks as I always found those to be boring even while playing as the killer.

Remove de-pipping when

I just don't know why the aura intensity of the slugged survivor requires you to be within 48 meters. The perk should at least work mapwide and even then it would still be pretty crappy.

Hot take indeed
I'd rather face a Nurse in solo. Equally as little chance at winning but at least it'll be over quicker
Pretty much this. At least I've had *SOME* Nurses who were kinda nice.
Meanwhile some of the douchiest, sweatiest, BM'ing killers I've gone against have been Pinheads. Idk why but it's like all of the douchey Wraith and Spirit players from 2020-21 have moved over to him. They all like to use Franklin's too.
Bonus points if they're on console. Their gamertag is almost always some cringey sh*t like "xXD3M0N_SL4YAXx" (completely made up name as far as I know but you get the point)

Killer - 5
Survivor - 5
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
-
Thought I was the only one. So many people, both survivors and killers have been taking everyone to that god awful map tonight. Including a streamer who played Pinhead with a 4-Hex build. Real fun stuff.
-
While sometimes I like to use at least one unique perk on most of my characters (Desperate Measures on Felix, Inner Strength on Nancy, etc) here's what's kinda been my main build these last few weeks:
Balanced Landing, Kindred, Empathic Connection, and last perk is usually a toss-up between Open Handed (for Kindred and Empathic) and Borrowed Time (though when basekit BT gets buffed to 10 seconds I'll probably find myself running BT the perk a lot less)
Kindred is the only perk that I feel is 100% essential in solo Q. I tried using OTR the first week or so after the endurance buff but I hardly got any real value out of it. I've just come to accept the fact that if some a-hole Nurse wants to straight up hard tunnel me out of a match at 3-4 gens then there's nothing I can really do about it other than simply move onto the next round and try not to get too worked up over it. I know that makes me sound like some sort of conformist but I'd rather have 3 perks slots where I feel like I can bring anything i want to have fun with instead of only 2 perk slots.

*reads title*
Clearly you have never played solo Q for more than a couple hours.
-
Nah. People who equip Deliverance will still be the first ones found every game. Guaranteed.

Surprised no one has mentioned Father Campbell's Chapel. That map is small and heavily killer-sided due to how easy it is to snowball on. Plus the entire south area area where all the circus junk is is usually just one giant dead zone that sometimes has one okay pallet and one gen usually spawns back there so the killer has very little reason to ever go back there most of the time. (but when they do to back there and see you, you're screwed)
Also been really hating Wretched Shop lately. That map is a shining example of RNG dependence. Whenever I get it as survivor pretty much the entire area that's behind the shop is a massive dead zone that usually has one T/L wall.
Garden of Joy also gets an honorable mention. I know killer mains like to call it the "Garden of Pain" but I swear, as survivor, I think I've had three, maybe four legit escapes on that map since it came out.
Other maps that tend to be rough as survivor are ones already mentioned above: Midwich, Lerys, Pale Rose, Wreckers Yard, Suffocation Pit, Azarov's Resting Place, and Shelter Woods. I'd also add Rotten Fields to the list especially depending on the killer.

I experience this maybe 1 out of 50+ games, probably even more.
New meta? No way. You being unlucky? Most likely.
Yeah, me thinks this is a luck issue as well.
I saw quite a few instances of killers working with one of the survivors to help kill the three other survivors on Xbox throughout 2018. Don't think I've seen it since. And I've been playing more solo que in the last month-and-a-half than I have in the entire 4+ years I've been playing this game.
-
Yeah I was kinda hoping when I signed up that I'd be able to equip either Yoichi or Empathic Connection as my pfp, or even post-face rework Laurie.
Borrowed Time will do for now though.
-
This might be a dumb question but is there actually some way to know what your exact MMR even is? Cus I always see people on these forums say stuff like "I'm high mmr" or " My mmr is at 1800" and so I'm genuinely curious if there's a way to actually find out or if people just like to pull random numbers out of their booty hole.

Highest prestige survivor I've seen so far was a Kate the other day who was around Prestige 66.
Highest prestiged killer was a Pinhead I went up against on Dead Dawg last night who was P40.
