I've always felt killers should have an extra slot specifically for totems, simply because they can be snuffed out.

My two cents:
Having completed the Lights Out Tome, I can say that it was super fun.
Survivors are whining, but what else is new?
I played survivor most of the event, and yeah, it was killer sided, but the challenge was fun, and 150% BP was nice.
As a Survivor main, this was the most fun I've had in years with the game. I hate to say it but I find many survivors just want to ######### around with the killer and not actually play the game. I prefer it greatly when the Killer has a huge advantage. It increases the tension.

This change would doom whoever got hooked during EGC, when the killer has nothing else to do but defend that hook.
No thank you.
And if the killer did that, everyone else would finish all the generators and escape rather quickly. I will say that my complaint is from a Survivor perspective because as a Killer, the game has never been easier because of this. Everyone just bum rushes the hook and all the killer has to do is stand that and smack them down. No one attempts generator repair anymore because they all want to be the guy who unhooks their teammate. When I play as Survivor, I am often the only person doing generators while everyone else just spends their time running at the hook.

"Stop tunneling me"
Yeah not really my fault if your idiot teammate divebombs the hook before I'm even out of eyeshot.
Or "Stop camping the hook!"
Not really camping if the killer can see all three of you bum-rushing to save your buddy.
Survivors put no effort into doing a safe hook rescue anymore.

So you want to be able to instadown someone who was just unhooked? How is that fun for survivor?
Since I primarily play Survivor and I remember when someone could be taken down immediately after being unhooked, it was very fun. People had to be much more methodical about unhooking their teammates and not just blindly run in right in front of the killer. The instant takedown risk made for a much more enjoyable and tense game than it is today.

That would've been awesome. I was surprised they brought in Ash but no deadite.

Maybe you all have great experiences, but I generally find they don't wait for the killer to get remotely far enough way. Most of the time for me, the killer is back within five seconds and I get immediately hooked again.jus_Ignant said:@Chi said:

Really? Because I've been killed nearly every single time some fool tried to heal me right in front of the hook and I get chopped down while I'm being "healed".
It needs to be judged by the situation. Most of the time healing by the hook saves time. It makes no sense to run away from the hook just to heal somewhere else if the killer isn't heading back to you. It just wastes time, and if I am in a game when a survivor does that, I just leave them and go do a generator because I don't feel like chasing said survivor just to heal them.
Nothing worse than unhooking and chasing someone for a minute across the map to heal them.
I also refuse to do that. Could have healed them in 10 seconds and used that other 50 on a generator.Especially when you can see that the killer just hit someone else, downed someone, or is hooking someone else and they just keep running.
It's jus' ignant

I've done the same thing recently Bradcore. Maybe I've just played survivor too long but Killer has revitalized my love for the game. Maybe it's just seeing the other side of the equation but Killer do take a lot of #########. Most matches are good, but then you get a game of 2 or 3 swf and ######### hits the fan. Last second flashlight survivor switches before the match starts. They follow you all game long. Then if by some miracle you hook everyone, you get ######### on in the end game chat. The game is asymmetric horror, its supposed to be balanced in favor for the killer. The killer should have no problem hooking at least two survivor each game unless they do something particularly bad in my opinion.Doesn't matter how you play, if you get one kill or four, then you are a "camping #########" as they say. On the same token, if you get two or less kills, it's "easy peasy. LOL, you suck." Doesn't matter in the slightest how you played or they played, they will almost always trash talk the killer at the end.

Or the dipshits who unhook your and then immediately heal you right in front of the hook

One of my best games ever was against the huntress. One survivor bailed as soon as the game loaded. Three against one We worked to repair the generators and accidently made the last ones very close together. Another survivor was hooked leaving only us two and we still had to repair two more generators. It took a while but we got one. My partner was hooked trying to repair the last one. I escaped by the skin of my teeth
Most intense match I ever played in this game, and the most fun too. Killer did a great job and I thank them for it. -
Woot thank you.

I know what you mean. About a month ago I had a game where I hooked someone, I would see someone run to the rescue before I could get even five steps away. Now listen, I'm a lousy killer. I main survivor. But I try to play fair when I'm the killer. However, when the survivors give me no reason whatsoever to believe they are not going to rush out for the same the moment my back is turned, why would I ever walk away? That game I killed the entire party because they'd run out for the rescue as soon as I hooked someone. I could take five steps backwards and watch them rush out from cover. At one point I had three buddies crawling on the ground around me with one in the hook. All near the same damned hook.Sparrklebus said:I recently had a game where I would place a trap - it would get popped.. I'd place another.. And it would be popped. So I said to hell with that - and ran around until I found someone - And every time I looked there were 1-2 survivors flocking around me. So when I hooked the person I sat there circling the hook/walls because there were 2 survivors flocking around the darn thing.
I just needed a sacrifice for the daily - so I just sort of sat there and circled the hook. The after game chat was fun to read. But - when I know I'm being followed by a survivor and there are survivors flocking the hook - yes, I'm going to sit and try to smack them away from it/try to get another hook out of the deal.
Normally - outside of a situation like that or where they're right by an exit gate/hatch or where I KNOW a survivor is lurking around "that bush over there" I generally wander away towards a nearby gen or something else.
And at the end of it all, I was the "Camping #########." Despite that I was never given a reasonable time to get away from the hook. Despite that they gave me no reason to every leave the hook. C'est la vie. -

I always thought i would never see another Alien fan ever again, it is so underrated nowadays!I think one of the reasons Alien doesn't get mentioned too often among favorite horror movies is because the series as a whole doesn't really fit the genre. Alien was a fantastic horror movie. Aliens worked so great as a sequel because it decided to be an action movie instead of a horror movie. In fact, it's one of the few movies I can think of that successfully jumped genres.
Here is where the problem lies. You have the first two fantastic movies and they're two different genres. All of the movies following didn't really seem to know what they wanted to be. Alien 3 tried to get back to being horror and I applaud it's efforts, but it just didn't work nearly as well as the original. Alien Resurrection tried to be action, and not only was it not as good as Aliens, it was just plain weird at times. AVP one and two were both dumb (but fun) action. While Prometheus and Alien Covenant were both good movies, neither felt like they fit within the horror genre. So out of a franchise of eight movies, you have two horror movies and only one of them does it well.

Yeah, it sucks. It usually happens to me during the load screen. Either the killer quits and I lose my Rare/Ultra Rare, or Survivors on my team quit leaving me severely handicapped with my Rare/Ultra Rare offering/addon.
-
A Nightmare on Elm Street has always been my favorite. However, I gotta be honest, the Insidious series is a close second. I don't jump easy and normally laugh during most horror flicks, but that scene at the table in the first Insidious really freaked me out. It still unsettles me just thinking about it. My wife teases me about it because she is very easily scared and that's the once scene she thought was hilarious.

The Huntress. Just something kinda disturbing about her.

Because Survivors in general are absurdly verbally abusive post game. When I started, I was primarily Survivor because I liked the idea of being the one that is hunted in a horror movie. Now, I primarily play Survivor because when I play Killer, Survivors are usually complete ass-hats. I'll admit, I'm not great at Killer by any means. But if I do good, I'm a camping ######### or tunneling #########, even if neither of those things ever happened. And if I do poorly, I suck and I'm still somehow a camping #########. I don't bother to stay and see how I did post game most of the time because I just don't want to see the nonsense spewing from the Survivors, but that doesn't stop them, because they take time to exit the game and post that crap on my profile wall.
Honestly, Survivors are the main reason I don't play Killer more often. I just don't want to deal with the abuse. I'm generally a calm, cool, and collected person, but damn, these people love to pile it on to an absurd level. Because of my experience as a Killer, after every game I play as a Survivor (which is most games), I try to make a conscious effort to thank the Killer for the fun game (unless it's blatantly clear they intentionally being a dick and honestly, a part of me can't really blame them with the abuse they get) so that they know they are appreciated.
