  • Yes, how dare a survivor tell when you have a perk once it comes into effect and change their gameplay to counter it as best they can,

Those toxic survivors always trying to play the game instead of acting like bots.

  • "Sincerely, a killer who gets to hide their moris until the loading screen"

Maybe if you compile enough evidence. Start recording videos when you play. It's amazing how this problem happens to SO MANY people yet there absolutely 0 evidence of it.

Most people that play video games as casual as DbD don't have the best hardware/know how to install drivers and other required software. Let alone record EVERY SINGLE GAME with other software they need to install/buy to prove they're having issues with the game because DBD is a very shoddy piece of software.

Remember Legion patch when someone would crash every game and 4 other people would sit in the loading screen for 10 minutes or until they alt-f4'd?

Not making it into the game in the first place should NEVER punish you for any reason as long as the game is coded like garbage which will be forever.

Asking for a refund is ridiculous but I'm amazed at how many people think the current iteration of the DC penalty is a good thing.

Play to the best of your ability. Camp if you have to.

If you have to camp your ability is less than average.

Most corn maps spawn in survivor sided. I'd still prefer them as killer over most of the maps in the game. Only time I despise Coldwind is when you get the God window on Rancid Abbatoir and 2 or more survivors know how to abuse the God window.

  • Billy is fine, I love playing him. Even when survivors know how to deny your saw, the map pressure alone and the threat of a ranged insta-down is enough to make even the worst killer maps playable.

Billy with pop/ruin and insta-saw is an absolute bore fest for a solo team. You don't need gen stalling perks with Billy, if you lose every time without them on this killer, you don't deserve the win. Get better.

  • That's the point of a PvP game, to read the other player and make a quick decision based off that information.

If a survivor is looping you very efficiently and not taking their camera off you (very obvious after the Ghostface update) and you notice connected tiles with good pallets you should probably abandon chase and apply pressure at a gen quickly.

However, at a certain point it becomes better to commit to the chase because you wasted too much time and you need hook pressure, the exception being the survivor made it to a god window.

  • The only thing that irks me about Mettle is that they released it right when DS got "nerfed".

So everyone buys this new character and blasts points into him so they can get their pre-nerf DS that is arguably better. Once the sales died down, they (justifiably) nerfed it into oblivion.

It won't carry a game for you if you're absolutely terrible, but it was still the closest this game has ever been to Pay2Win. Pay now for a blatantly overpowered perk that will inevitably get nerfed soon! (but not too soon!)

The whole bait and switch thing with powerful perks and then making them useless after launch sales is exactly why I wait for the mid chapter update to buy new DLC.

If there's one thing I think we can all agree on in just about any game we play, it's that being stunned and not being able to move is generally not fun. Head On is simply an annoying perk that doesn't really have a counter and can give you a free stun, outside of baiting it out. Even then due to dedicated servers your killer hitbox can easily be hit or even if you swing at them when they're out of the locker, you still eat a stun because of dedicated servers, too, in the same way a grab doesn't always give you a grab and they get away. So no, I wouldn't really say it's always "easily avoided" and I wouldn't call it fun for anyone but a survivor, which is par for the course these days :)

Does the perk in general bother me? Not really at all, no. No one complains about head on when there's DH/DS/BT

Sitting on the hook and getting tunneled/slugged right off hook is a 5+ minute stun but I guess that's okay on these forums.

I don't mind Head On at all, sure, the occasional team might coordinate at shack which gives the survivor a free loop/escape but you have to remember that when they do this its half the team not progressing the game.

When its not coordinated, they either get a sneaky stun out, or make it too obvious and you can bait them out for an easy hit/grab. There's so many situational and agonizing perks in the game people deal with I don't mind when someone else gets to have fun with theirs. Also, the stun timer is pitiful, often times people get so excited when they get it off they run into a dead zone to make the most distance they can and I get a free hit.

    SWF.

While using a mechanic that was definitely not intended for the game, it gives you the following buffs with no negatives.

Allows every survivor in the group to know where the killer is as soon as they start a chase.

Allows everyone to know the location of cursed totems if someone of the group spots it.

Allows for coordinated rescuing, avoiding 2 players wasting time by going for the hook at the same time.

No need to waste slots with information perks. Can be used with the one year old meta perks, DH, DS, Adre, BT.

Grants you the ability to turn killers into a play thing, and it's protected by developers, which means it doesn't break after a trial.

    That's not an add-on.

Only a true salt-lord low-skill killer main of Reddit would write a paragraph about SWF in a thread about add-ons.

Black Insense, Iri Head+ Infantry, and Redhead Pink Finger + Additional Bottles comes close but ...

Mint Rag with Rusty Shackles basically makes saving impossible if you play hag as she was intended to be played. As a hook defender. Nobody is getting off the hook unless you trade or hook 2 people at once which with that build effectively forces the game to a close in your favor real fast. Other than that most killer iridescents have too many downsides with a crippling downside that makes them not worth at all.

After the syringe nerf there are 0 Survivor Iris that are good or interesting.

Dude, you were quite obviously in the right in that situation. If you have any sort of evidence you MUST report this.

I know it's a tall mountain to climb and the chances of nothing happening are big, but if you do nothing then it's 100% that nothing will happen.

It really isn't worth it. I have no evidence the streamer told their community to actively harass my DMs but they did tell their community (their version of course) of what happened, posted a 10 second clip of them spinning my billy saw and that's what led to me getting harassed. I had my face pic in discord and someone was talking trash about how I looked.

It doesn't help I turned off DMs because my phone was getting spammed at a new year's eve event and I blocked everyone that messaged me whom I didn't know. I was flustered and didn't really know how to respond to my first instance of ever being harassed on the internet.

Now I know, if this ever happens to you, take screenshots, send them in. But again, behaviour has dealt with banning content creators in the past and it's very hurtful to their company/profits even if it's the right decision. They aren't going to do anything that might start drama over a nobody on the internet. They are here to make money by developing a video game.

  • I had a certain streamer's (off-stream for them, on stream for me) SWF team dive bomb the hook so I downed them with billy since nobody was pressuring gens by surrounding the hook. Then I get called a camper for not leaving and going after the dive bombers.

Then they sent their discord mob to spam my direct messages on NEW YEAR'S EVE when I left their server because I didn't want to hear their nasty insults. That constitutes as cross-platform abuse, which is supposed to be a suspension from the game.

The streamer in question has a cosmetic in-game though so since they are a "pinnacle of the community" there's no chance in hell I will waste my time reporting it. Couldn't even message the streamer to tell them who was harassing me because they blocked me before I could say anything.

Behaviour knows what its like to deal with a thousand angry streamer worshipers when they ban them. Ochido was clearly in the wrong and deserved to be banned and yet his community actively tried to review bomb the game en masse. They don't want to deal with it so they hope these instances just fade away before they have to step in. I'm not important to the community so there's no real reason for them to step in to my instance.

  • I feel like I'm bullying new players and scaring them off. If they play survivor and never even get close to escaping, what's the point of continuing to play?

So I'll switch to a super nice build with no stalling perks and no add-ons with a weaker killer power and wind up getting people that actually belong in high ranks.

I've actually started looking at profiles in lobby to try and compensate for survivor skill. 4ks against babies feels like a loss.

I've played against rank 17 killers as red rank survivor as well. There's absolutely no way to tell until you are in your first chase with them. Same rule applies, escaping against a baby gives no sense of reward. I just feel bad.

It's just a video game, but there are real people on the other side of the screen with only so much free time and everyone plays games to have fun. The current matchmaking inhibits that.

  • You're quoting them when they are talking about the battle pass in general. Not the free, limited time rewards that will be added to the free battle pass during the event.

Oh no, they actually want to encourage people to play their game more often especially during a limited time event so queues are shorter for both sides. How dare they.

  • I like giving survivor's a fun match with spooky add-ons that aren't good at all but still make the game fun for both sides (Iri Clapper, Coxcombed, 6 seconds of surpressed terror radius after cloaked). Wraith is also incredibly easy to farm points without really trying.

Of course I'm going to get bullied in some matches depending on the team/map combo. But it really isn't that bad and it also makes victories more fulfilling as opposed to bullying survivors with spirit/nurse.

  • Give survivors a clue that she's phasing after the charge time is complete when activating her power (standing still guessing games are boring and anyone that calls this a mindgame has no mind) and give her a vault animation. Boom, the game's health gets better and she's still really strong.

All of her add-ons are fine except prayer beads.

Umm, I play Killer in NA... I haven't had a single issue.

You didn't even bother to read my post. The main issues I brought up are that killer's that had high ping to you before will still get awful hits on you that don't make sense because their ping to the NA server is terrible, and you have nothing to tell you that you're in a lobby with a laggy killer anymore.

  • Agreed. I used to just dodge 300-500 ping Asian/Russian/European killers. Now their ping is hidden and I get hit after I take 3-5 steps from a pallet/window vault. It doesnt matter if their connection to a North American server is bad, they still get lag compensated for all hits. It's really drained any urge to play survivor and I've just stuck with Killer in the meantime.

The only portion of the community that benefits from dedicated servers are the killers that don't play in NA and constantly got dodged because people don't want to play a match with a 300+ ping host.

  • Pips mean nothing to me. You can screw around as both sides in DBD and get pips at any rank.

As survivor, I only feel like I "won" if I actually won a couple chases by either not going down before a significant amount of time has passed or if I make the killer stop chasing me entirely. Dying or escaping doesn't mean much. I only play solo survivor so escaping is reliant on what teammates I happened to queue with. I don't feel like I won when 5 gens pop really fast while a baby killer gets looped by someone else for 5 gens (though it's entirely the killer's fault)

As killer I only feel like I "won" if I didn't let a single survivor escape though the gate (the last person escaping through hatch just means they found it before me) and that I got at least a couple of interesting chases where I got to do something cool (interesting off meta build or shutting down a strong structure against a good survivor). I don't feel like I won if I bullied a bunch of babies that waste every pallet and go down instantly.

In general if I get out of a game and get an urge to play another match: I won.

  • End Game Collapse would be completely fine in it's current state if they balanced map exit spawns around the mechanic.

There are way too many instances of end game happening and the last survivor in the match loses instantly because both gates are in such a short distance they can be patrolled with little to no thought from the killer and the hatch is closed.

As solo survivor, your team can run around like headless chickens and die while you did nothing wrong. Meanwhile you're still punished because you joined a map where the exit gates spawn side by side to each other. As a killer, if the survivor gives up and states at me because they know they are dead no matter what, I just give them the gate. It's not really a multiplayer game at that point.

  • Nope, but I've heard and seen enough to know how bad it is.

I would hope that a company as big as Behaviour (lots of revenue with their mobile ventures) would learn their lesson the second time and delay release until the game was in a playable state.

I should not be surprised at this point but it's not.

  • Just as buggy as the PC version which surprises me.

The average FPS is terrible, to the point where there is noticeable input latency. I'd say 30 on most maps and 20 on ones with special effects like rain.

I refuse to play killer, I could barely turn corners tightly as survivor. I would probably end up quitting as killer. Haven't had a single one hit me unless I accidentally ran into them.

  • I definitely see either purple/pink keys or insta-heals being the next survivor facet they completely gut soon.

Don't get me wrong, keys are bullshit. You get to skip part of the objective because you brought an item, but moris are essentially the same thing, you get to skip most of the hook states. If you complain about keys but use moris whenever you feel like it you're probably going to hell.

  • "I can't bully survivors with my overkill addons anymore!"

They're redoing her addons, not her power. The only people that are upset are the ones that only play when they have best in slot items.

Even if they do change her power, its about damn time. They've nerfed survivors plenty of times over the past year while giving little in return (except MoM when it was bullshit for a month) and it shows with the Killer queue times. Now that killers who rely on 115% speed/M1 are a lot more viable, its time to shave a bit off the strongest killer in the game.

Or you can watch killer queue times get even longer. It doesn't matter to me, I enjoy both sides.

Uh... you missed the thread where killers posted screenshots of 4 kills and blackpips.

Or maybe you prefer a video from a streamer who got 31,5k points and a black pip.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g74xjwtvRvQ

If you play nurse or have an insta-down and survivors just hold shift+w in a straight line of course you're going to safety pip, the game was too easy. I never said it wasn't broken for killer as well, but when the system that tries to calculate how well someone did in a match is the same for Wraith as it is for Nurse/Spirit, you're going to have problems.

  • Ranking as survivors is legitimately broken, most of the (survivor) player base won't be in the ranks killers are sitting at

Ranking as killer is way too easy and pips are awarded simply for holding w in a chase and bonus for landing a hit.

The most recent vault change was yet another significant survivor nerf, meanwhile nurse still exists, spirits are running around rampant now that more people know how to play her (and she's arguably less fun to play against than Nurse), and more and more pallets/windows continue to get stripped away while Instasaw Ruin Billy decimates your solo survivor team.

There's nothing to fix, people want to play the power role. Back in 2017 Killer queues were always instant and Survivor queues would take upwards of 15 minutes. Late last year and early this year they started doing pretty good at making sure most matches started off favoring neither side. Now they're taking it in the exact opposite direction from where the game was in 2016/7

  • I've been playing knockout slug Freddy and its been working great, even against some SWF groups that help their friends locate slugs.

  • No sound would be pretty insane.

Killer chase music is much softer than Survivor chase music, I found that although from the Killer's PoV its very loud, the survivor doesn't hear it very well especially if they're looping and trying to create as much distance as possible.

Besides, I don't want to bamboozle them, I want to tell them to f off of the Storehouse/Pantry/Ironworks window
