I room took like a 2 year break no lie. I am enjoying killer now more than before. Of course I’ve grown a bit and mellowed out, and there is still some anxiety, but the killer experience is overall more enjoyable.

BUT…… the game still has its problems.

    Tell me how please😊

It's not just sacrificing and escaping that increases your MMR. Your opponents MMRs are also factored in. If you gen rush and run circles around a killer with a lower MMR and escape, your MMR isnt going to increase because the game expects the people with higher MMRs to win. Likewise, if you're tunnelling or camping "the weak link", your MMR isnt going to increase because the game expects you to beat that individual. The devs have also said that 50% of the time you should face killers you have the capacity to escape from, and 50% more of a challenge.

In your case, it might have been that playing with new friends meant that most of your Killers were also less experienced and so the game expected you to win, which you did. So your MMR *should* have stayed relatively the same. But then all of this is just going off the info that's been given here, which I may be misunderstanding. Are you definitely losing because of your team mates, or could it be that the game is now giving you more challenging killers to compensate for the ones you and your swf escaped?

Sometimes I make bad plays of course but of those 15 matches it's been my teammates which have either been new to the game or people who hides and never does the objective. TL:DR I have teammates that are clearly not at my skill level

edit: The killers are fine, they are around my level.

I've been playing for about 2-3 years now. Very casual player here, I usually just want to chill and play some games and honestly playing dbd recently it feels like such a slog. It's hard to enjoy it now for some reason. It doesn't feel good to play, I feel massively overwhelmed every single match now. Could be because of the MMR stuff I dunno.

    same brotha same

Tunneling and camping are also a kind of fast pressing of certain buttons. As well as writing the most racist and inhuman insults in the chat.

    And yet, here we are.

The killers are offended by groups of SWFs who set themselves the goal of mentally injuring the maniac, after which the maniac dead in the eyes tunnels and camps the whole world at 5 gens, from which the rest of the community of survivors suffers, who, if they escape, make sure to teabag the sh*t out of killer because the toxicity balance needs to be restored. It's just fair from a one player standpoint.

However, all players are involved in the toxic cascade little by little, either as a catalyst or as a mitigator.

If you don't nerf your godlike Ctrl, this game needs a stress reliever. Don't get me wrong, the idea would work if the cascade was interrupted by killers, but since the killers just start playing the game effectively and/or hit the hooked... There's not much you can do about that without damaging the fragile balance.

Plus, some SWFs are real bastards. It would be a shame if it didn't hurt them.

I didn’t say anything about tunneling or camping. I just don’t get why people get offended over something so little + tunneling and camping will ruin the match for a survivor not because the said survivor that are experiencing tunneling and camping will start crying but because they literally can’t do anything about it. I think the killer hitting a survivor on hook would be closer to teabagging in that regard, but then again I don’t see why you should cry if the killer hits you on the hook.

Putting camping and tunneling in the same category as racist slurs is kind of meh. Racial slurs and other slurs are way worse then a mechanic in the game where it is literally stated you won’t get in any trouble. Altho you might have just mentioned it for the purpose of giving examples of toxicity idk

Now swf queing up for a game to only be meanies is toxic yes and that I can see why people get frusterated about. But I was talking more about just regular soloq survivors that teabag at the exit gate or at a pallet.

You can go ahead and cry when someone teabags you or hits you on the hook for all I care. I just don’t see any reason to cry about it.

also sorry for bed englis I’m bad englis

People really out here crying about someone pressing the L2 button multiple times... lmao

    MW2 lobbies were 1000000x worse.

people get offended about everything now days😓 nothing you can do about it. I never understood why you should mald over someone pressing a button fast many times in a game

With the recent buffs to survivors and gen speed I feel end game collapse is becoming the main time for killer to push, however maybe some changes could be good.

    • exit gates depower slowly when not being charged, stops 99 gates and runs a bigger risk
    • survivors in the exit gate zone are exposed and blind, and cannot crouch or use flash lights, this may stop some toxic t bagging and behaviours, there close enough to the exit to leave for it not to be a issue unless your ducking around, if your flashlight saving in the exit zone it’s litterly a 1/100 thing that happens
    • killer gets all there totems are seeable by survivors and all survivor totems stop, this enforces risk and counter balances end game perks like noed even harder or other totems, survivors can head straight for them, but killer hasn’t got to worry about meta Totems for last section of the game like COH. Only reason I say nerf survivors harder on this is all game they get intimate boons unless they die

just some thoughts in my head at the moment

So you want to remove a genuine game mechanic (flashlight saves at the gate) and remove a way to geet bloodpoints (flashlighting the killer) because you get mad over getting blinded? Just look down, up or away=)

Also crouching can not be removed either since it’s used against some killers for example huntress. Imagine you running to the gate to escape but she throws a hatchet that you can dodge by crouching but you aren’t allowed to crouch so you die. 🤔

Simple fix - run towards the survivors, hit them and they will run out. Takes 20 seconds extra contra waiting for them to leave at the last second

  • I've tried verifying integrity but it didn't work

  • what are you talking about????!?!?! I love going into a soloq game against killers that run 4 slowdownperks (eruption) and getting absolutely blasted by their amazing 3 gen strat which makes the game last for 40 minutes. Oh and how could I forget that tunneling and camping is 7/10 games =DD

now I know this goes both ways jadajada. I don't play killer so I got nothing to come with, I mean I can try

oh how I hate when survivors just hold W, how they genrush the ######### out of me and especially when I need to wait before I down someone because of dead hard. was that good?

  • @SweetTerror said:

For starters they kill switched the matchmaking incentives so that's going to affect who plays what role quite substantially. Second, queue times will sadly always take priority over MMR.

I've seen this where que times is more important, thats why I got confused when I had/have up to 10 minutes and always more than 4 minutes for my last 15 games. I've never experienced that much que time before

Reporting people with streamer mode is the same as reporting anyone else:

    • You report in game by clicking on the thumbs up/down button to the right of the player in the tally screen (this flags the match so Support can get the information they need);
    • You open a ticket on the Support website (https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/categories/6713776396180-Dead-by-Daylight you can click on the chat bubble in the bottom right corner) giving all the information required and adding video evidence (if the file is too big to be attached, you can upload it to Youtube as unlisted and then paste the link in the ticket description).

The lack of names is not important, as Support can get the information through the information you gave in your reports, plus the ticket now does not require any SteamID, profile link or nametag.

    ah okay thank you! =)

All I can say is while I don't mind the Autohaven and Macmillan reworks... I still really miss the golden night skies of the old Coldwind realm maps and I hate how they made them day time maps with the rework. I really wish they would do a minor rework to make them night time maps again to bring back the horror ambience/feel to them.

Exactly! It's not scary during daytime =D

  • I'm on my 4th now with a disconnect in a row, gonna try for the 5th - wish me luck! =)
