You have to bait the unhook.
Unhook only until the bar reaches 90% then let go, it still sends the "Unhook" notification to the killer, bringing him out of stealth, get the unhook and BT is activated.
-
I'm sure you can ignore it for at least 40 seconds. They're wasting time, quit complaining.
More time of them doing that less time spent on gens, how are you complaining about this?
Why would any killer complain about a survivor wasting an entire minute coming in an out of a locker.
I'm baffled by the question. Would you rather have them spent that entire minute on a gen and completing it?
-
This is your region.
I have a mixture between literally everyone.

Now give upvotes.
Yup. Same survivors complaining about BBQ, Bubba, Billy, want Oni nerfed, same ones that praised the Ruin nerf.
The same survivors reaching Rank 5 who can't loop a killer for 5 seconds and want to sit on a gen the entire match.
-
Or you can just go for the rescuer instead of complaining about it here.

I don't understand these people that actually think Nurse is ruined by the changes they did to her, when the only thing that was changed was her addons that she didn't really need anyway and the fact they added an extra second of wait time after fatiguing. Seems like a slap on the wrist compared to what they could have done. But I don't see her as much anymore so I guess I shouldn't complain too much
They gave a red bar to her blinks. They made her addons from bad to #########.
She still has Omega Blink. Changes to her Basekit were unnecessary and she is riddled with bugs that the devs refuse to acknowledge.
She can't port through some walls, she can lose her second blink at random.
A decent team running Dead Hard is a gg.
-
You mean she was a difficult killer to learn and the payoff was 3-4kills a game after weeks/months of mastering her?
Oh no, what a plague among the survivor community.
-
@UpsettingDruid0 said:
Nurse has been a controversial killer since her inception, most people forget that her base kit used to be three blinks, she's been one of the killers with the most changes. Her add-ons were always something that I think caused issues but I didn't think her base kit was to strong, I do play both sides btw. I think the biggest problem with Nurse rn is all the bugs that she has, there should be no reason I fully charge a blink and go nowhere, if you don't believe that it happened to me, watch one of Otz's videos and you'll see it happen. I think all her bugs and dedicated server issues need to be fixed before the devs look at her base kit again.
Agreed.

lol DS and BT are really the bane of tunnelers. My God.

@Aven_Fallen said:
She was by far the strongest Killer for 3 years. Logical that she will get a Nerf someday, and honestly, for overall game balance something like Nurse needed to be nerfed. You cannot balance the game and keep Nurse as it is.
I also highly doubt that you have been a "SS Nurse". People who were really good at Nurse (aka using her without Add Ons for example, not those people who bypass her Skill Level by putting on Extra Blinks or Range Add Ons) still do really good with Nurse and she is still the best Killer, despite people claiming otherwise.
I can bet money on the fact that anyone and everyone who says "she's still the best killer" has hardly put any thought or work into her after her nerf.
She has visual and sound bugs that haven't been acknowledged. She can't use her second blink many times. She still has a double fatigue stun, she can't port through many walls. Dedicated servers messed with her as well since she needs her blinks to be accurate.
She's been over nerfed and it's unfair what they did to my favorite killer and the neglect she's going through.
-
I'm shocked that there have been no reports, to talks, nothing concerning her bugs.
She's riddled with game breaking bugs and to top it off, she still has a double stun.
-
Unbelievable.

Realistically there's no way to prevent gens popping against non-braindead survivors. If a survivor can last 60 seconds in first chase, and it took you 20 seconds to find them, bam, that's more than half of the gens done. Even sooner if toolboxes are present.
I don't know what type of killer allows a chase go on for 60 seconds but if you are, then you're not doing killer correctly and survivors rightfully early their Adrenaline.
They're running 3 perks the entire match with a CHANCE to use it ONCE.
Some killers need to chill out on Adrenaline.
-
Adrenaline is earned.
Don't like it? Do your job and avoid the gens being worked on.

Or keep doing what you're doing until you don't get the lobby that prompts you to dodge in the first place.
I never understood why games do this?
Back in the day, Call of Duty would have you join the same lobby when you left it over and over, until you had to wait about 2 minutes to join a different lobby.
-
People have always proposed the idea of having less perks the more people you have in your SWF.
3 perks for 2 people, 2 perks for 3 people and 1 perk for a full 4 man SWF.
You'll still be playing with friends.

You're joking.
There's literally A tree, and that's it.

Survivors have an easy button.
CTRL.

That is a reportable and bannable offense actually. It was confirmed as such. If someone is doing that just report them in the endgame and move on, I wouldn't let it stick with you it's hella rare someone is so mad they do that anyways.
That being said, the bar is basically so they have to commit to it a bit I think, and add a second or two to it, not much more. The game handles instant m1 kills like when you mikey kill people really weird so I have a feeling it is tied to the games coding and making it more stable or something. Just as theory though.
lol It's not.
There's a bleedout timer, the survivor will die and the killer is sacrificing gen time for that.

DS was ever fun to verse for killers? Any counters? Need me to list all the op survivor perks that are absolutely no fun to deal with? I’m a rank 1 survivor and a rank 1 killer. I think Infectious Fright is balanced and easy to counter.
lol cute "What about DS" post.
Here's a counter:
- Go for the unhooker.
- Don't tunnel.
- Slug.
- Wait 60 if you're so desperate to get a kill.
-
Then my SWF will make sure to bait the BT and get my full DS activated.
Easily abusable.

Sounds to me like you opted to do a generator and put yourself back into the running. You aren't really being tunneled at that point. They're chasing you off a gen, not off the hook.
Tomatoe, Tomato.
I can see that as well.

Not often, but in any case, you're arguing with someone who feels the same as you. I don't think the locker by itself is the problem, it's the fact that it stays active even after you start working on generators. I have no issue with it activating when you grab someone from a locker, personally.
What about the scenario where the gen is next to the hook you're hanging from and it's almost completed. You get unhooked, you finish the gen as the killer rushes towards you and BAM, he hits you as the gen is completed.
Happens to me quite a bit.
-
It was 0 requirements to activate other than leaving a totem alive.
It should at least have more requirements. Remove the totem, and give it heavy requirements.

I think what most killers wants is to get rid of cheese mechanics like hoping in a locker to force DS and the abuse of DS in endgame. I play both sides equaly and imo its not wrong that DS can be used before gens are powered, because in that case it fullfil its original purpose wich is prevent tunneling.. But after all gens are done and in EGC its a perk that gives you a free escape, like BT when you get unhooked. And that don't feel right at all if you ask me.
Its kind of crazy.. because if you look at DS and BT in this scenario its 100% logic that this perks should deactivate after all gens are powered/EGC and however its still here. I don't know what you guys think but when you look at things like this... the bias of the devs smells from miles away.
And don't misundertand me, i think that DS and BT in the endgame its equaly unfair like noed. And i would be very happy with a removed noed if they deactivate this perks in EGC. It's the most fair change they can make to the game right now. No free escapes.. no free kills.
I'll agree with you there.
I'd Love to Trade NOED for BT or DS.
No free kills, no free escapes.

And let them have ds for the endgame? Nah im gonna open it and eat it then catch up to you with my super speed chainsaw and down you again and put you right back on that hook. (Wonder why survivors want billy nerfed maybe because hes one of the only killers who doesnt care about ds)
There you go, you solved an issue.
You chose do open it you got it and you didn't complain.
I thank you.

Not only is that not even the correct use of irony, you seem to be under the impression that tunnelling is not easily countered by just doing gens.
Granted, the killer will probably get whoever they are targeting, but everyone else will easily escape.
Then it's obviously not the survivors fault if the killer is that short bus to tunnel 1 survivor while the rest focus on gens and escape. Let's not punish that 1 survivor that had the full attention of the killer during the entire trial.
-
You know what's funny, there's a post on here begging killers to stop tunneling, and this post wants to get rid of the one of the only factors that allows survivors a chance against tunneling.
Ironic.
-
@Pirscher said:
DS should only activate if the survivor gets unhooked in the killer´s terror radius - then it is a true anti tunnel scenario
Sure, then Freddy, Insidious Bubba, Michael Myers, Pig, Ghost Face, ANYONE with Insidious, Nemesis can tunnel right off hook with no repercussions. Great idea.
-
@toxicmegg said:
why can't you just stop tunneling and go after someone else? seriously, it's not so hard. if you tunnel someone and they enter a locker, just leave them and patrol gens. or waste your time complaining and waiting in front of the locker, or eat the DS if you want that one survivor that bad
This. Everything about this is true.
Here's another idea, DON'T OPEN THE LOCKER!
It's YOUR choice, it's YOUR decision to open that locker knowing very well you're about to get hit.

You missed this part: "We make opportune changes to reduce the gap when they arise" :D
It would be nice to have a Kindred type basekit, without the Killer Aura Reading of course to make it fair.
I'm a solo player and it would be nice to know what everyone else is doing when someone else is on the hook, it'll give us valuable time to either finish a gen or knowing that someone is going for the rescue.
Without the Killer Aura Reading of course.

What do you mean by "0 early game pressure?"
Does early game pressure disable DS? Because, from what I know, the only way to disable DS is to get hit by it. Or make them miss the skillcheck.
If "pressure" means "tunneling", then your "anti tunnel perk" is not working as intended.
If you had early game pressure, then DS would or wouldn't have been used but everyone would most likely be on death hook, disabling any need to rescue. Getting multi-DS'ed in the game would mean you would either have to have NOED up, or you barely got some hooks in by the end giving you an opportunity to chain hook.
If you had early game pressure, you most likely would have slugged, but getting DS'ed in the late game is telling me you can't slug because the gates are opened and you can't afford the loss.
-
So I can stay still for 1 second during a chase and I'll become invisible?
The killer LOS'es me for 1 second and that's his loss?
Amazing what these survivors are coming up with these days.
-
Slap on Save the Best for Last and you have a guaranteed 4k each match if you're good at FPShooters.
I played against him at Ranks 4 and 1's and they're lethal.
-
The rank 1's shouldn't be there. The rank 5's shouldn't be there.
Green and MAAAAAYBE the occasional Rank 8 is fine but everything else is bad.

Well, when they posted the SWF vs Solo survival rate statistics they were fairly close to even, so I imagine they consider that I guess.
The second thing is that they balance around 2 kill averages, but the problem there is that if they see like 2 SWFs full escape and 2 solos get 4k'd they go "Well that averages to 2 kills a game so that is balanced" which is super flawed logic.
Statistics are never accurate.
It doesn't take into the fact of farming killers, killers who just let everyone live, suicides on hook, DC's etc.

So it decays once every 4 days? Or did you not read the post?
It's 15 minutes for 2 DC's within a 24 Hour Period.
It's 5 Minutes for your first DC, if you DC again within 24 hours, it will increase to 15 minutes.
Stop DC'ing and complaining about it on the forums.
-
Torment Creek is the only Farm Map that's viable for killer and survivor.
Other than that, every other farm map needs a rework.
And Temple of Purgation is too big.
Shelter Woods needs a rework too, it's barren. Boring. Wasteland.

Indeed it is.
I cant count how many times I have heard:
"Ok, lets eat that DS now. ... Oh, they didnt have it? ... Maybe he missed it?"
IMO DS should work only if you are REALLY being tunneled, if it was like this then killers wouldnt bother "eating DS early".
Otherwise we have some dumb situations like getting DSed by the last survivior alive right next to an exit gate, getting hit by 3 DSes in 15 seconds after 3 man basement escape, getting DSed after grabbing someone off a 90% generator, etc. Killers dont want these things to happen, so they want to get DS out of the way by intentionally tunneling.
Getting 3 DS's just means you had no early game pressure and you're finally pumping out some pressure late in the game.
I've never, EVER had 3 DS's in a row, and I've only seen it once in the Otz video with his trapper but that's only because he had 0 early game pressure.
-
We know why and we never approved of the Ruin nerf.
Nor the Nurse basekit nerf.
Nail in the coffin will be Billy's nerf.
-
Here are my predictions.
- Movement speed will be reduced to 110%.
- Cooldown on his chainsaw.
- Cooldown after reving his chainsaw.
- Addons will drop in rarity or increase.
- Red bar will be added in order to use his chainsaw again.
-
@thesuicidefox said:
Devs said they want to rework his add-ons, which makes sense since he doesn't fit the normal add-on layout of other killers.
His base kit is absolutely fine and, outside of some QOL changes (if any), I don't see them changing it.
I expect his add-ons to stay about the same. The only problem add-on is Carb Tuning Guide. I expect that one to get a nerf. Maybe also Moonshine, but probably not. Really his add-ons are fine except CTG.
They said that about Nurse, they said her Basekit was fine and now look at her.
Look how they massacred my girl....

I prefer this punishment than the slow, inching ban you get when you DC too much.

Unfortunately it's quite common now as the Devs completely eradicated any early game advantage for killer.
Survivors still spawn next to their objective and mindlessly hold M1.
-
No, I stopped maining killer and went full survivor after the Nurse nerf then the devs solidified the bias when they nerfed Ruin with no compensation.
-
His movement speed was fine, I was going against Ranks 1 and 4's during the PTB and believe me, his movement speed is fine.
I wanted his gun to break pallets if you shoot one.
I hope they removed the ability to shoot a hooked survivor before they regain control of their character.
