Love getting the newsletter only when it does not have codes. It magically works fine when they are not meant to give out stuff. This is shifting my view of them towards the likes of EA that are only in it for themselves.
-
It was always decent but not shiny and new so they don’t see it as much

Two emails subscribed here. Didn't receive the 250k bp's in May, didn't receive the Alchemy banner this month. I receive emails informing me of the live streams / anniversary events though. I'm not sure how it's possible to mess up sending out automated emails so badly.
So only the emails that do not reward you as a player/customer? You seem to only get emails that would benefit them you say? Sounds normal for companies this day and age.

I would say nothing to stop the insane increase in tunneling should be a larger reason to quit. The game is near unplayable without a group on survivor. There has been zero changes against it. The reason it should of been targeted is how it truly removes joy from playing for the ones targeted.
-
I see them in most games that is weird that you do not.
-
The game requires sweating from either side which since this is not a competitive game makes it not worth playing anymore.
-
For context if I play survivor I get downed literally 18 of 20 games first. So also I’m not good at looping. That’s why some get frustrated. Adjust and that’s how
-
You are lucky you had years without this. I am newer and if I play solo survivor it’s at least 1 out of 3 games will have troll players.
-
they aren’t dcing they are just losing on hook then going next. When I played killer side more I thought it was odd. Then I tried solo survivor and I get it. You have to deal with trolls and tunneling. It just makes playing survivor not worth it without a group. This is a huge issue.
-
If large amounts are going next quick it might be from the lack of enjoyment on that side. Looking into the fundamentals of the game or sending a survey might show more light on the issue.
-
It’s a simple concept. The game is not enjoyable on solo Que side. You have tunneling from killers and trolls as fellow survivors.
-
so glad they updated it on all of their social platforms like the community boards on YouTube. Oh wait they did not do that.
-
I am a newer player and will be leaving the game due to most of survivor games are unplayable. Your teammates are either trolls or rats.
-
I agree it makes you better at looping faster. It does not solve the real issue. That issue is you run them for 4 gens get hooked and then left on hook. The issue I have had is that I get better but I get put with others who do not. Then if I am not the one being tunneled they go down in 2 seconds. So to sum it up tunneling is fine. The real issue is lack of cohesion with other survivors.
-
It is the usual issue of I got killed and in this fashion so run to the forums. It is a thing that happens for several causations. Got tunneled, got background playered, got proxy camped, got slugged, etc. These occurrences just took a toll on the players who had it done to them. It is mostly a frame of mind that can be adjusted. Laugh and have fun and all of the negatives will pass.
My personal gripe is running the killer for most of the gens then getting first hooked and left for dead. -
It is just a funny aspect of the game. If you draw negative sentiment from head nodding in a game it will just continue to lead you down a dark path. More and more will look bad and ruin more enjoyable experience for you. Laugh at the quirks instead of trying to create negative reasons for them.
-
Mikey would win easily. This is due to he would clearly ignore the rules and bring quick victory by stabbing.

I once faced a wall picking up a survivor and still got flashbanged.
It isn't just 'inattentive' players, it's actually a glitch or something.
Someone mistook what reflective wall means.

The lack of original good fun banter at the post game chat. If I get dunked on I want to see some good fun statements that show the excitement from the other side. This does not need to be overly aggressive, but at least some real actual human emotion rather than the fake ggs. It is a game that we are meant to feel from so it’d be nice for that to be more visible.
-
I used this perk when I was learning the game. Now it feels like a waste of a perk spot. I feel shadowborn is more useful. They spend extra time away from their objective to blind you so you down them super fast and possibly get a free hit on another survivor.

I hope so. I have matches as killer where I make a complete turn around and BAM! Disconnected….. lol
It oddly always happens to me at that pivotal moment of guaranteed 4K. Either I am downing the last survivor or just slammed the hatch shut.
-
I have fun by playing how I want and not conforming to meta. Also I do not tie my enjoyment to wins. This game is quite a bit more fun by what happens organically in each match. Pay attention to how everyone plays and you will be surprised by what happens.

I put that I would like to pick the order that the skins appear in the rift. That way I could get the skins earlier that I actually will use.

I totally agree im not arguing that, thats an okay number but im just continuing the conversation on is the game killer sided or not.
I agree as they have stated their goal is to have it feel like a horror film. In that case the killer usually kills most the cast. I feel the balance they need to do will always be held back by the extreme mobile killers. This also has the trickle down effect to giving the mobility boosts to survivors. Thus maintaining the huge divide, in the higher skill games, of effective killers and survivor perks.

I should clarify… I don't need to escape to enjoy the game, either. I live for the nailbiters, of which they are few and far between.
As for tome challenges—not that you asked for my opinion—I think I have outgrown the battle pass/challenges era of gaming. Maybe it's marketing fatigue, or maybe it's my career in marketing that has me rejecting blatantly manipulative marketing tactics.
Whatever it is, I am so over studios wasting resources on consumer cash grabs. It is a vicious cycle.
I found working with marketing truly shows both the negatives and positives. Yes everything is meant with the intentions of gaining more profit. It is easy to see how this was made to manipulate that. That is the unfortunate and will eat you up. Nothing is done without the tie in to profit. The joy can be with what is offered to be exciting. Which if done correctly can at least give a somewhat joy to wasting one’s money. My favorite marketing uses are from sweepstakes associated with customer buying products. This way they have a chance at more but they already got what they wanted to begin with.

I have had some of the best games recently as SM. The survivor group played the game and 4 man out for the majority of games. They played the same way I am use to see with the efficiency on gens and showcased the limits of m1 killers.
I will say SM is just highly effective against lower skill survivors.

Its been shown at all leverls of mmr to be less then a 50% escape with swf and solo dou and threes. They posted the kill rates on all and all went toward less then 50% escape rate. No one saying that the killer is dominating what im saying is the game is killer sided and balanced to be killer sided.
Yes I agree the escape rate is tied to that number. As I had stated that is for each individual person. Where the kill rate is meant for the entire trial. It’s different data standards. It is easier to showcase specific Killers being at point x where they want them to be, but much more difficult with each individual survivor. 40% is a nice number for a 4 man team.
-
I feel that the gen regression perks should be the best. The need in higher skill matches for the gen delay is where there is an inherent issue with the current game.
-
I too played the twins recently for the adept challenge. Was about to get it and mystery dc. You might be onto something.
-
So pure math with no human variable can be wrong? We all aren’t just robots?
Jokes aside the 40% escape is per survivor and it’s an average. So it just showcases how there are either more than intended escaping often with higher or less with lower than.
The killer expectations are still with draws being the highest amount and 3k’s being the second most prevalent. This showcases that a slight edge to the 1 over the 4 but not in a way that they should be dominating.
-
Frustration for yourself? Well that depends on what actually upsets you. I got it! Trash talk in post game chat until you are banned. You will be frustrated that you cannot play during that duration.
-
There should be a minimum bp for survivors due to the extreme low they can get from a tunnel. That should make most more ok with getting out early. The ones who give up just need to find what is causing them to act this way. The purposeful losing is the issue and it is with the individual. They will continue to do this with the options they have whether removing one option they will still do another, such as afk or just dc. Tightening up dc penalties and such will help but not remove the issue. It has to be done by the individual. Worse case scenario is long term bans for repeat offenders.
-
Adding positive aspects to different play styles would work. If there was base kit bp multiplier for each unique hook prior to second hook stage for any survivor is one thought.
On an off topic addition as they could add bp modifiers to use perks that are not commonly taken.
-
The AOE effect would be limited through the programming to not be allowed through walls. This is at a level that a random person off the street could do. With that I am sure they meant it to do as it does.

I'd settle for a 1k or even 6 hooks. Frustration spoke through me a bit, but to come back after some time away is more than mildly frustrating. I'm not terrible at the game, not elite either but I feel like it is just holding my mmr where it was when I played a lot which really just bottlenecks me into crushing loss after loss. Aren't losses supposed to adjust mmr? Or was that scrapped for the same reason the original rank structure got scrapped?
I had thought that was how it was supposed to be structured. I know it has a mmr for each of your killers and when you use a different one it balances your starting mmr based on your top 3. Losses still should move you down I am not sure how much you drop though.
-
This is how you make positive change in DBD.

immoral turrets?!?!? What deplorable things are they doing?

Funny thing is, I've actually started giving Third Seal a shot, and by golly is it good at revealing who's dependent on Windows.
I did not even think about this. Now I shall run this perk.

I believe the 1 m bp will arrive on the 13th.

Do you even lift bro?

Every game can be a warm up game. You just have to not be placing the requirement to get an easy 3-4k. Focus on getting back into the rhythm and enjoying the game and you will bounce back.

in my eyes as a killer main i want people to have fun and if it helps them have fun i just turn up my sensitivity(xbox type shniz) and spin and nod as fast as i can while they have their fun and hey bonus points when they forget about egc
This is exactly how I do it. Most the time they are happy they survived. You just have to keep it in perspective they have a low percentage that they make it out of a trial. The few times they do let them enjoy it. If I evaluate my Killer games I win a good deal of them 3-4K. On the occasions of losses it is usually only 2 make it out. Let them enjoy their victory with their limited options of expression.
-
I did all that work to complete them before they were nerfed!!!! NOOOOOO!!!! So many tears…….so many tears!

Getting hit through the ceiling of all things sounds exceptionally rare.
I’d take hands of keyboard and just give them a standing ovation for that. Quite well done bit of mastery of their character.

I am confused. You ask a question and get an answer. Then decide to complain. I get you are frustrated with that only one aspect got something that you wanted. With the way you went about it should every person who purchased skins be upset that they did not get a tie in banner?
-
It does seem like, based on the comments, nothing has changed. Someone loses a few games and chooses one thing to be mad at. This can be perks, Killers, or player interactions.
-
A Jaguar Warrior would be cool. I do think a true Viking warrior with Norse mythology additions could be fun as well.
