So I play a bad game, at the end I follow one surviver not infected, she as on injure so a next hit and she down but she saw a zombie go on the zombie who give her a boost and she escape if the virus don't give a speed boost like plague I think that will be better.

PS: you don't fix lag on ps4

I used that mechanic near an exit door too. Nemesis was chasing me wounded with no infection. I suddenly saw a zombie so i ran to him. I took the hit of the zombie and nemsis failed his punch. I got sprint and could scape. It felt a bit unfair.

Its a pvp game. Imagine LoL, R6 or CS would get balanced around Bronze players.

Yes, but this game is no competitive. It hasn´t even official rules. Most torunaments create their rules to get a balanced experience. In many of them you can´t repeat killers (if not, we´d only see spirits, nurses and blights). In many tournaments, tunneling and camping is not allowed either till EGC.

I only play Solo Q. How can i get compared to a premade when i can´t even point on a minimap to report a hex totem or communicate by commands: " Claudette, come to rescue"; " killer camping", etc.

It´s like DBD is 3 different games in 1: high performance premades, casual SWF and Solo Q.

My point is, when the devs buff the solo q giving them communication tools, these single players will start to coordinate and approach their level of performance to the SWF.

And is at that point where devs could really balance the game. Because a Clown or a GF probably can´t deal a good premade, but can take 4k on solo q game with no problem.

Old dev stats showed that only a small percentage of our matches are played with full 4 man SWF.

Devs said they balance around the majority of the playerbase.

Devs also said that the majority of our players are low ranks. (One of the reasons old ruin was nerfed, was because it was apparently to frustrating for new players)

So by elimination, devs balance around low skill, low rank, solo survivors.

U can´t balance a non competitive game according to the highest skill players like Oracle.

If they´d do that, only Oracle would be able to win a 50% of the times.

Imagine the stats for SWF and solo q . 0% and - 40% win rate.

Of course the devs have to balance the game according to the majority of the players to create a "balanced experience" (50 % WR).

  • @aroell said:

Nobody would complain if the game released with voice chat.

Personally, I´d prefer voice commands. I remember when smite installed a Voice chat program in game and eveybody. Not all the players used that. Many players kept using commands for communication.

Sometimes that voice chat meant more stress and tilted communication, specially if things were bad in the game. But hey, as u said, I wouldn´t complain about it.

  • @arrontrue said:

Lets face it, the game isn't balanced at a 4v1 as the 4 survivors have the advantage.

Once the game is a 3v1 the killer has a slight advantage.

Once 2v1 the game is almost over.

Imagine it being a 4v1 game and survivors could 1v1 the killer lol

A good SWF 4 vs 1 has advantage over killer, but it happens the contrary on public solo Q games.

A top premade can overpass almost any killer (spirit, nurse or blight have a chance), but that´s because they play extemely coordinated, combined perks, cover hits, and do the optimal plays any time.

Solo q kill rate for killers is very high. You can check Otz´s +50 Wins streak with every killer no add-ons no perks.

Many times, a victory for survivors on solo Q is just because some survivor could extend a chase and give time to their partners to repair. So yes, survivors wanna get a chance 1 vs 1 killers. Spirit, on this case, is so abusive...

  • One thing to consider about the pig is that although she has no map pressure in terms of movility, she has map pressure in the sense that she forces the survivors to move all around the map and waste much time doing nothing but remove the trap. With the addition that survivors with headtraps have a real chance of being tunneled easily.

But we come back to the same point again. Is not the same handling a pig with ruin in SWF than in the hell of solo Q. Buff solo Q, and then you will be able to buff this low - mid tier killers.

  • @Edgars_Raven said:

This is an interesting video. Sweh is able to run this pig for almost 10 minutes. At one point he even says that this is literally broken, if you watch it closely the pig makes a couple of small mistakes but not bad enough that it should take 10 minutes. No survivor should ever be this strong in a 1v1. Start watching at 5:30

    https://youtu.be/sc0U6xfr1d0

I dont know how they fix that, but its really gross

U don´t see the clown looping the pig so hard everyday lol. Is that a cosmetic skin or a mod?

Respect to the gameplay, Idk. The survivor looks really good. And although the killer doesn´t look like pretty good at chases, he has just won the match with 3 kills.

Well this is based on top level play, obviously at that point you can slow down gens or do whatever you want to slow down the game but objectively killers like Pyramid Head counter pallets and windows and if he is good enough he can stop basically any chase with 2 easy hits. I'd definitely want chases to last longer than 15 seconds and if they do last longer than that they can nerf gens. This current balance doesn't work for anybody because the average kill rate is too high but objectively survivors are stronger.

I agree with your oppinion. Just looking at Otzdarvas 50 winning streak with more than half of the killers talks by it´s own. You can check it here.

Killer Streaks Otz's current Killer streak (all games on stream) Getting 4 kills (or 3 kills with a post-hatch escape) keeps the streak going. Failing to do so resets the streak on that specific Killer. Ragequit DCs count as a kill. 1 key escape = 3k win. 2 key escapes = tie, doesn't count. 3 k...

And personally, I prefer having long chases too. It´s the more exciting part of the game.

You may feel like it's a 1v1v1v1v1, but it still is a 4v1. I agree with giving solo's ways to exchange info to help narrow the gap between solo and swf. But what is the end goal than. If you want survivors to have the advantage in the 4v1, then killers need to be pretty devastating in the 1v1.

Yes. I think that the Solo Q and SWF are totally different games. Solo Q Survivors just can´t handle a spirit on public games, and a good premade can handle her, but it won´t be ez at all.

The balance of the game should start with giving the solo Q the chance to exchange information and be able to play like a team (improve the 4 vs 1), approaching to the SWF. This process wouldn´t affect to SWF as they will keep on voice communication.

And once you have buffed the solo Q (actually is horrible experience), it´s the time when u can buff or nerf certain killers. The only killer I think needs a nerf is spirit. She is perfect on 1vs1 and 4 vs 1, no matters the map (on difference with nurse, that is very good on open maps but sucks at maps like doctor´s for example).

But said that, any killer can work vs Solo Q nowadays. So in my oppinion, buff solo q, and then buff the weaker killers like clown, plague, trapper, etc,

  • @Steah said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2297828#Comment_2297828

What do you think is a reasonable time for a chase than? A time that is sorta in the middle between the killer and the survivor winning

Hard to say. As you said in a previous post, a devastating 1 vs 1 killer that finishes pursuits very fast, shouldn´t be so good in 4 vs 1 to compensate. Pyramid head could fit in this description.

On the contrary, we have wraith. He can move very fast along the map, but he can struggle finishing a chase on loopable maps.

One thing I don´t like about the "competitive" part of DBD, is that you always see the same killers: spirit, nurse, blight. Map pressure and good 1 vs 1 killers. And if they can´t repeat killers, you will also see Huntress, Freddy, Onis and a few more.

  • @Steah said:

You can't have it both ways. Do you want to be favoured in the chase aspect or the macro aspect?

Normally as survivors you are suppose to have an advantage in the 4v1, but whenever you get a killer that's really good in the 1v1 the forums are full of people calling for a nerf.

    So which one?

For the majority of survivors that play on Solo Q, we don´t really feel the game like a 4 vs 1. It´s more like 1, 1, 1, 1 vs 1. If you what I mean.

Solo Q don´t have communication like SWF.

There are many times where your teammates don´t come in time for a rescue and u die on hook. Or they come with the killer behind and farm you. Or 2 survivors stop gens to come to rescue.

I also remember one game where i discovered the hex: ruin. And killer knew it. He tunneled me hard for that reason. And I couldn´t even tell my teammates where the totem was.

The point is that although the game is survisided on private SWF and only some killers like spirit, nurse or blight can handle a good premade; in public Solo Q games killer have a big advantage over survivors.

And in reply to your question, I´d really like to improve the 4 vs 1 situation giving the solo Q players the chance to exchange information and play like a team. This sistem is present in the majority of the games nowadays. And a command communication system it´s very neccessary. "Come to rescue", "Totem here", " repair that gen (pointing on a radar)...

  • Spirit. It´s the most busted and unbalanced experience. You just can´t do nothing against her.

    • U wanna wait her on a pallet to stun her? Very probably u will take the hit.
    • U wanna loop with her on a jungle gym or in the shack? I wish you luck my friend.
    • You use an exhaustion perk like agility or spint burst to gain distance on her? Haha. Nice try. She will enter phase 2 and pursue u like Usain Bolt, but with stridor.

I just hate being abused on Public Solo Q by spirits.

  • @gendoss said:

I feel like most survivors do it to give the killer some extra points for downing them. At least, that's why I do it.

I do it for the same reason but only if killer hasn´t played dirty. So in my case is not for provoking or kidding the killer.

In other way I just leave and don´t give him more blood points.

  • I was confused because reading the perk description I couldn´t guess how many times it could be activated.

There was one game where one where killer was tunneling me hard. I failed my DS. Went to hook, Inmediately farmed by a teammate, and dead.

I was expecting the DS animation but it didn´t happen of course.

In my oppinion, tunnelers are gonna tunnel every time they can. A second chance of DS would be nice in my oppinion to make tunneling harder for killers.

  • One thing I don´t understand abut the DS. Can it be activated just one time per game?? I have started recently to take DS as perk, because of the tunneler killers.

  • @AVoiceOfReason said:

Enjoy, Everyone! Hope everyone learned something from this and remember! Spirit is fair and balanced with multiple counterplays! Just do what everyone says to do in the forum!

I think these stats also speak about the GAME UNBALANCE

    Or a matchmaking failure.

It can be a unbalanced game or a matchmaking failure causing an unbalanced game. But at the end, his stats as killer as simply astonishing.

I´d like to see a Solo Q survivor getting those streaks. Not in terms of personal scapes, but Survivors victory. Can you guys imagine that? Me neither 🤣🤣

  • image.png

    I´ll just post this here:

This is the popular DBD streamer Otzdarva making a challengue. He wants to get as killer a 50 win victories in a row (3 or 4 kills in game).

You can check his progression at this excel he shares on his Twitch channel.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PVh8RE3uy88YjdOYPA0Xi35b8ReCDteHZo0lFYKw2HI/edit?usp=sharing

I have to say I don´t much know about Otzdarva. I suppose he is a top player.

But, if you see his stats, you will notice he has:

    • 59 W streak with trapper.
    • 55 W streak with nurse.
    • Etc.

    He has a 50 W streak with 13/ 23 killers. And he ISN´T EVEN USING ADD-ONS.

If this man can superate 50 games in a row with 3 or more kills in game, even without using add-ons, with half of the killers (till the actual date), I think these stats also speak about the GAME UNBALANCE. For he winning 50 games in a row, there are 200 survivor defeats.

Check his worksheet. I find it very interesting.

  • @ceeroover said:

Beside from the actual numbers you track, the perception can still be different. I also made stats covering roughly half a year from December 2019 to June 2020 when the log files were not yet encrypted. I can tell you, even if I had a escape rate of roughly 50% for solo Q matches, it always felt lower. Same for killer in reverse, you mainly remember the bad matches.

Additionally, and no offence as I know it's a lot of work to do this manually, but 46 games is a pretty small sample size as you also have to take into account random factors like the skill of your teammates and the map spawn that can only flatten out to some extend in a larger sample size.

We would need regular community stats so that everyone can find out for sure if they might just be a less skilled/experienced player. Unfortunately the devs don't deliver this.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/YHTMWGDX2D26/god-old-stats.png

Yep. Stats at all ranks would be nice so we would have more precise information of the game balance at all ranks and modes.

Watching your graphics (awesome job btw), I can appreciate you have an average of 2.82 kills per game as a rank 5 killer. And again, talking about your killer stats, 9 out 12 of the killers you used, had a 4K game big chance. With values very close or superior to 50% of the games.

Look at cannibal: 85% win rate. 6% tie. 6% survivors win. In your games, killers have a tremendous win rate with the exception of Oni, which is very close (36W-32T-32L). But win for him although.

That´s a lot of kills compared to your 49 % rank 3 survivor escape. Although you had more rank and games as a survivor.

  • @KingFrost said:

My experience was much different when I kept track of stats. Solely playing in Solo Queue, my escape rate was about 60% (at red ranks). The number of gens that got done was much higher.

    This-

If you've ever taken psychology/sociology, the first thing they teach you about quantitative (number/stats) data is that it cannot give insight into how/why something occurs.

Not to burst your stats or anything.

However- a few points youve made using this are kinda skewed. For example, you use this to say that solo queue isn't balanced (I agree,, but the data given isn't enough to say this) and that killers In purple-red ranks have a win rate (I'm gonna guess what 78'25% means, but please correct me if I'm wrong) of 78.25%. now the issue with the first one is that many factors can go into why you lost those games as solo queue (bad matchmaking is only one, others could be bad rng, killers who are higher skilled than you ect...) And the second one is this stats probably muddled by many factors such as suiciding and DC's (which we all also know occur a lot), I'm going to be (when I get off my break from dbd, probably at the anniversary event) making a 200 game evaluation of everything, and I'll bring fourth as many factors as is psychically possible. I play both killer and survivor, so hopefully I can get a broad spectrum of games.

    Hi Ilovedbd123.

Paraphrasing you: "If you've ever taken psychology/sociology, the first thing they teach you about quantitative (number/stats) data is that it cannot give insight into how/why something occurs".

That depends on the statistics discipline you are using (descriptive or inferential) . Let´s say I´m using descriptive statistic and not inferential statistics. That´s what I´m really doing indeed.

I´m just measuring some objective facts that I can objectively measure (number of kills, escapes, and gens). I also have a column for what i intend is hard tunneling or camping (but about that, I think we both could agree on that it could be considered subjective data).

With these statistics, I get my personal statistics, I´m not claiming what is the problem here. A sum of many factors imo.

But, analising the data I reach the conclussion that independently of a sum of many factors (ability of the survivors, ability of the killer, perks used by both sides, strategies, maps....), I get:

    Lose rate: 78'2 %

    W rate: 10'3 %

    Ties: 11'5 %

Those are my stats, And therefore I suppose some people at my level of rank or ability may be experimenting something similar.

And about, DC´s, there was only 1. It´s something I register too.

Good luck on your analisis. I would like to read it in the future.

Just pointing out how to improve stats. Because bad stats are worse than no stats at all.

But anyway fifth, taken from your own post:

    CONCLUSSIONS:            .

    - Solo Q is not balanced (22,5 % win rate for survivors). Balance would be around 50 %.

    - Killers vs Solo Q at purple sometimes red ranks: 78´25 % win rate for killers.

    - 30´4 % of the games survivors finish all gens and are able to open doors.

These conclusions are not shown by your numbers as they only account for your data.

A more accurate conclusion would be "My teams as a solo survivor have a 22.5% win rate"

Again, those conclussions are related to my OWN EXPERIENCE.

U just take parts of the different posts I wrote isolating parts of the information.

If I´m talking about my experience like I said many times, ofc those conclussions are related to my own experience and the rank I play.

And yes, I could also analize the map, the perks, the ad-ons the skins people was using, the number of heals, if anyone one founded Chomsky the gnome, if I had eaten pasta or salad that day....

Sorry but I can´t take your posts seriously. Trees don´t let you see the forest. I have taken my time on collecting data and making the analisis. You don´t even take time on reading the posts propperly. So I´m not investing more time replying you, sorry.

  • @PanicSquid said:

You don't have enough data to draw any significant conclusions about solo queue.

Firstly, you don't have any comparison to an attempt with a SWF to show that its not actually an issue with survivors.

Secondly, the map you play on is a big factor, so to make useful stats, you would have to do this for all the maps. (This of course discounts map RNG)

Thirdly, you only have your data points, you would need data points across all ranks and ability levels to make conclusions about Solo queue.

Fourth, there is no mention of perks, items or killer add-ons that might modify the game.

In short, this game has a lot of variables that make it hard for an individual to keep any sort of data in regards to balance.

    Fifth- Learn to read.

I am talking about my experience and my rank. I said it multiple times.

And this is much more stats than what i can take from the game (0).

  • @Swampoffering said:

When you reach 1350 hours, do the same test and you Will see how different statistic Will be.

I dont want to be disrespectful or something like that, but newbies Killers vs newbies survivors, Killers Need less skill and they can destroy games.

But average killer vs average survivors, Who knows how to optimize loops and how yo abuse strong ones (Not dropping shack pallet like any other pallet) survivors has more advantages even in soloQ and escape rate increases.

And you are not counting 1 important thing, MM is trash and maybe you got matched against Killers with 2-3 times your hours, even with 10 times or more so... It is normal to get 4k or 3k Hatch.

    Idk. Maybe u are right.

I just talk from my experience at 350 hours experience and the players are matched with me. I´m not a high-experienced top player so idk about those top ranks.

I'd like to have it so that I can rework it for Killer.

As I said, I´m not very keen on excel.

On the 2nd,3rd and 4th columns (B1, C1, D1), you can calculate the average of kills, escapes and gens repaired per game. But you need to recalculate the formula as I don´t know how to automate it for all the columns. Actually is =PROMEDIO(B5:B50), because b50 is the last game I had in consideration for the analisys.

Respect to the colours on the excel, there are some conditional formatting. For example, in killer colum.

    4 kills: intense red.

    3 kills: light red.

    2 kills: yellow.

    <2 kills: green.

About the percentages I don´t know how to automate those aspects and I calculate them by myself.

Hope the worksheet be useful for you.

P.S: If anyone is good on excel and know how to automate percentages or perfectionate the excel, also´d be nice.

Pretty sure 99% of survivor players complaining about Spirit is a sign that she’s awful to play against. Most people on here enjoy Nurse, who is just as strong, as her chases are much more interesting. I’ve played Spirit quite a lot in the past, and she is a breeze to play, you are guaranteed multiple survivors dead every game, in the worst case scenario.

And they already did nerf the survivor second chance perks lol. DS was just nerfed, which is also a nerf to unbreakable. Not sure what other perks you feel are so badly in need of a nerf? Are you saying Iron Will, BT, Sprint Burst, Dead Hard need a nerf? They already are reliant on survivors using them well, or the killer making poor decisions in BT.

Agree. I like to play against nurse and hate playing against a spirit.

And it's not just you. In many games vs spirit people suicide on first hook. It's so frustrating to play vs her.

From early 2020, just after the Covid lockdowns, I have had a really hard time winning games and the last months I die practically every match before the first generator is started, it has become so bad I can't even do my challenges for the archives before the killer finds me and sacrifices me even if I try to hide in a locker.

Any ideas what is going on?

That's the result of mistakes by the Survivors. Solo que is in a good place, its the teamwork that falls short of victory. No killer is op, their player was just better.

All the games?? All the games survivors made mistakes and killers did the best performance?? That´s a big assumption and a veery quick and subjective analysis. You haven´t even considered any data.

  • @Sabraiz said:

How would you buff solo queue, when a lot of the time that survivors lose it is because of bad decision making from the survivors?

You can't exactly force killers to lose games because some survivors refuse to develop proper game sense. I see plenty of potatoes in red ranks both when I play killer and survivor and I always play solo survivor. Hell sometimes I am the potato even.

Also, for there to be a 50% win rate there needs to be a proper system in place measuring players skills, which there currently isn't. They supposedly have been working on it for months now, no idea if it works since I didn't have time to play during the last test of it.

My stats after analising my last 46 games as nowadaya level 5 survivor.

    Lose rate: 78'2 %

    W rate: 10'3 %

    Ties: 11'5 %

Idk if game is unbalanced, mmr totally unreal or what it is. Personally, I feel like is the first option. I have heard some top streamer survivors like "The Cat Avila" pointing in that way. But that's my personal impression.

What I really know is that my team win rate is 10% and my team lose rate is 78'2 % 😯

You are misunderstanding the statistics because your data is being drawn from an inaccurate pool.

IE such as if you were collecting statistics on how much muscle growth you gain from taking a set amount of testosterone. You would gather completely different data if it was from a set of people that were also working out rather than a group of people just sitting on the couch the whole time.

You are not strictly discussing the data either, you drew conclusions from that data.

"- Solo Q is not balanced (22,5 % win rate for survivors). Balance would be around 50 %."

If you said our win rate was (x) and our loss rate was (x) I would have no issue with what you said, but that's not what you said. You drew a conclusion that solo queue is not balanced from that data, which is an inaccurate conclusion to draw.

I also played Smite, a 5 vs 5 moba. Please check the BIG DIFFERENCE on my stats during 2 seasons.

And like in DBD, gameplay doesn´t depend only on me. There are more players. But as I told before, proplayers, average veterans and newbies have a win rate around 50%, Not a 10% win rate like I have on DBD,

People likes to win from time to time. It´s kind of a reward for their effort and improvement.

Personally, at my level 6 survivor, game is punishing me in terms of a 78% lose rate and a 10% win rate. i think it´s not so hard to see my point here.

Regarding to the MMR and ranks we have, idk. I´m not a top survivor. I don´t know if that´s my real level. But I usually play with purple and red rank killers and survivors. Even killers on green ranks have pretty beated my team as we had higher ranks.

Hello! I haven't really read this yet, I'll take some time to. But I've seen you've done this with Excel and I wanted to recommend you this one website that tracks stats if you upload screenshots of your endgame leaderboards (although yours is much more complete this could save you time ^^)

I´m not an excel master . I had to calculate some information with a calculator indeed xD.

I´d gladly give this worksheet to anyone that wants to register their matches, but I´m afraid he would he to adjust some parameters and recalculate some forms. But if besides that, any one wants the worksheet I´d gladly give it to him.

I´ll check NightLight. Thank you very much <3

A mistake I think you should be careful not to make with stats like these is drawing the conclusion of kills relating to balance.

IE you look at high kills and you see "unbalanced". What if most those kills were the survivors playing really badly? What's more important, the kills themselves, or how/why those kills were acquired? The correct answer is the later.

You don't judge balance by people playing stupid in other words. You judge it by people playing well to determine an objective balance. This is to say I'm not discrediting your data, but I am questioning the conclusions you are drawing from said data.

    You see what I mean?

Balance is a statistical concept=50 %. Just that. Balance if terms of win rate would be 50% win 50 & loss. Or 33% W 33% L 33% T by any side.

    It´s just statistics.

We are not discussing level of play by any side. I didn´t register that as that is subjective to judge. Just paying attention to statistics and information I could measure.

Some games survivors would have played bad, some games killer would have played bad. But we are not analizing a few games. It´s almost 50 games so we can bear that possible variation with a big statistical sample.

  • RESULTS:

Average of kills: 3,13 per game.

    Killer victories: 78,2 %

    Survivors victories: 10,8%

    Game ties: 11%

    4 K games:         58,6% (27/ 46)

    Scapes:               0,89 per game

                               22,75%

Gens repaired: 3,15 gens per game.

All gens repaired 30,4 % of the times.

Hard camp or tunneling: 22,22 % of the games.

    Personal escape: 20%

    CONCLUSSIONS:            .

    - Solo Q is not balanced  (22,5 % win rate for survivors). Balance would be around 50 %.

    - Killers vs Solo Q at purple sometimes red ranks: 78´25 % win rate for killers.

    - 30´4 % of the games survivors finish all gens and are able to open doors.

And one more remark. The game I have played more is Smite. A moba similar to league of legends.

I watched some DBD gameplays and found the game interesting so I bought it and tried, And I like it so much.

At smite, you have access to your personal stats. And, independently of your level (I was between gold and platinum division), win rate is around 50 %. It doesn´t matter if u are a pro player, an average veteran or a newbie. Matchmaking will create games according to your actual level and you will have a real chance to win or lose.

DBD is not giving me a fair experience as my teams win 10% of my games, tie 11% and lose 78% of the times.

I enjoyed a lot playing DBD but I´m starting to be very frustrated and unfairly treated by the game.

I am playing less and honestly, although I love the concept of this game, I also like to compete and have challenges according to my level. I am not specially interested on winning or losing, but I need to feel that I have the same chances than the other people I´m playing with. At this time, I don´t feel that and I´m losing my interest and fun on playing DBD.

My opinion the majority of killers who face camp are newbs. Most of the survivors they are facing are also newbs. At higher ranks you hardly every see a face camper because survivors know to do gens and get out. If face camping is such a massive problem for newer players than the solution is they need to stop falling for it. Face camping only works if you stop doing gens or hook rush the killer. If you stop making it a viable strategy than that killer will eventually learn "This isnt working. I better try something else"

This killer wasn´t a newbie. He was rank 6. Our team were´nt newbies neither.

As I was on hook they popped 2 gens. While one compannion tried to rescue but couldn´t due to the camping.

2 gens for 1 death and 2 wounded survivors. Totally worth for the killer.

There was only 1 escape and was a hatch.

If solo q had some kind of information or communication this wouldn´t have gone like this. BUFF SOLO Q

I really doubt it's happening every single game. I can't think of a single game I had last night where the killer was tunneling or camping.

It´s not happening all games of course. This was the summun of the tryharders.

But I have to say hard tunneling and camper is happening in 20% of my games.

  • Death on first hook by a facecamper tunneler wraith. 2nd minute of the match and first chase completed by killer.

He is playing according to the rules, so his behaviour is ok??? Is this good for the game???

P.D: sorry for the quality. I don´t record any game. Just this part with a mobile.

Camping and tunneling have always been in game and the only people I see leaving are killer players because they keep getting spit on by both the community and the devs.

So I don't care about what fantasies you have of camping being something recent and you survivor players gonna do something about it real soon, because you will do nothing but cry.

That's the reason you think there are less killers?

Honestly, I don't know what the reason is. I think playing survivor is more fun as you can cooperate with other people or play with your friends. It's just a vague oppinion.

I have wondered if a game with 2 killers could be possible 🤔.

  • I don't know.... There are always idiots in any place any role.

If killer hasn't tryharded and tunneled I always say "gg wp". And if killer has " Ignored" a poor guy phase 2 that has been unhooked on killer's face, and this one chases the full health bastard that rescued him, it's something to recognize at endgame chat.

Regarding to the t-baggers or the "gg ezr's", if killer hasn't played dirty I always talk on his favour on endgame chat. I don't like that arrogance.

Killers and survivors we are playing the same game. Survivors need killers to play their role; and killers need survivors.

Honestly there’s no point arguing about tunnelling and camping on these forums. The people who don’t see it don’t play enough survivor to make that judgement cuz everyone I know has seen a HUGE increase in it. It is about 50% of games at least.- and I mean hard camping or tunnelling

I keep trying to make the point it doesn’t matter if it’s a ‘valid strategy’ or not! The argument is that it’s so unhealthy for the game because the killer does nothing, at least 1 survivor does nothing and on soloQ usually 2-3 survivors get to do nothing.

It means there’s no chases, no mind games, no interactions - basically no game. - keep arguing ‘it’s a valid strategy’ and validating it and people will stop playing the game because it’s boring. - THIS is what should concern players on both sides if they want the game to survive!

I liked your message. Camping and tunneling is bad for the game. Some people say that is neccessary for winning.

But this people forget that players play the game because is Funny and exciting. Winning the game will make you have more fun and joy? Sure.

But if people just had fun winning at games, most popular game mode would be "player vs IA". 100% win rate ez pz.

As a survivor I like to have a close match, with chases, rescues, heal players, mind games, totems, a bit of gens....

But I don't enjoy being 90% of my time standing on a hook. Or spamming M1 on a gen because a Bubba is camping a first hook. And before someone talk again about the 3 gen, or the gens completed.... Yes. I'm only talking about EARLY Game.

Now some killer will talk about optimal plays and about how you can prevent tunnel with DS, TB, kindred and unbreakable. I'll just say that these strategies are not good for killing survivors. Are also good for killing the joy of the game. Gen rush has the same effect btw. And if people stop having fun, they'll just move to another game. .

Last time it either stopped or heavily slowed hook progression when the killer was near, can't remember which. Anyways, it was removed because survivors just looped around the hook to make the killer have no way to win other than 4 man slugging a team. If survivors didn't abuse it, we'd have no campers anymore.

Oh. I see. It was disbalanced on the other side, then.

Imo they should give it another try and add some rules that denies exploding those benefits.

Another possible option I think it could be similar to how the perk "friendship" works, but with the killer.

If killer stays on less than a "X" metters radius from a hooked guy, and there is NO PRESSENCE of survivors on the same radius, hook progression runs slowly.

The only problem I see is that this mechanic wouldn't affect in the same way to a Nurse or a hag, than to a walking killer like Myers or trapper. But anyway, tunneling and camping would be punished in terms of gameplay. (I'm talking about Early game. On late game everything should be allowed).

Other option is to give a "reward" to the killer to leave camping zone. Bloodpoints? Show him a random aura reveal of a survivor or a started gen? Idk.
