They are extremely powerful tactics if your main goal is a 4 man escape. You pre-run, because you gain distance without the killer seeing where you go, so the killer has to guess more and more closely follow your trail. Which means if you are 10 meters away, the killer will take up to 15 seconds trying to catch up with you by just following your tracks.
If the killer is closer, they can more easily cut you off and even tho you initially had 10 meters, the shortest path to your future location isnt following your tracks directly.
As for pre-dropping pallets, most killers can punish that now by either having mobility, a pallet breaking power or both. Killers that have neither will often be forced to break the pallet ASAP or waste time. If the whole team does it while coordinated (not even on comms, just other survivors doing gens while not in chase), then you are going to have a difficult time.
It doesnt involve 0 skill, because timing it perfectly to maximize time gain is rough, you still have to mindgame the killer while you are out of sight and avoid dropping as many pallets as possible, someone who pre-drops every single pallet they encounter in game isnt going to win them games.
This is more effective against killers like Doctor, Trapper, Pig and Oni, who dont really have anything in their kit to counter it. This thread is mainly about Doc because Doc used to be a killer in the middle of the roster, but has dropped significantly despite not having been nerfed at all.
Basically, point 4 has always been Doctor's biggest weakness by far, but recently it's been amplified due to map and tile rebalances. Making maps overall fairer, but Doc less usefull.Again I am not talking about running before you can be hit by killer, I am talking about miles ahead that make reading scratch marks even impossible because they've already faded that they are useless. 100% avoiding killer the entire match. As Killer I refuse to waste my time with people that play that way. That is zero skill. I'm not a fool that is going to take that bait and waste my time and allow gens to be rushed by the other 3. I'm going to do gen checks and if every single player is pre running and avoiding me at all costs, not even staying with my terror radius for chases or any other interactions to happen then game is over. They can find another match. That's minimal engagement, minimal bp for all so no, not happening.
All this instant pallet breaking, faster pallet breaking, sliding over or under pallet when its dropped all makes pallets pretty useless and only encourages pre runners even more. Why not just get rid of pallets all together even for Doc at this point. Everyone complaining about perks is leading up to all this pre running, 2 minute matches and its killing the entire game.
Maps are extremely smaller then they were before. Pruned and thinned out. Light up like an operating room. Some maps only have 1 small shack in the middle of just about nothing. And you want more killers with the ability to just about insta break pallets. Might as well just have one empty room and play dodge ball with killer. I don't agree with all the perks on either side of the fog. It's gotten way out of hand but what you are asking for is only going to cause more to pre run for miles away and avoid all engagement with killers including Doc. -

I dont chase them too but if whole team is doing it then you dont have choice, gens are still being worked on and progress and yout time is very precious but still runs and you must do something.
Thats why Im for slower killers having stronger powers which some do like blight, henry, spirit or chucky, slinger kinda are great exsamples of 110 killer how should they look like.
I agree gens are faster way more then they were back in old days where they took less time to get done and todays way is very fast phased game .
Then you do chase them if you feel you have no choice. If I find myself with a full stack of pre runners that do not engage with me and just avoid me then I DC. If they insist on wasting my time and want to avoid me then they need to get out of my match. I'd beg for a full stack of bullies then ever be with a full stack of pre runners. At least with bullies I can have some fun, maybe see it they have something different to bring to the table and it's game on.

sadly I think auras have pushed us into this pre running box. it wasn't overnight, but little things piling up like Lethal Pursuer existing and guttingDistortion have kinda forced this since you can't even be safe near a killer unless you specifically have Object.
As swf I always play as killer has lethal and i stand still for a few seconds until i know my aura is gone and then i take off. Killer 9x10 can't find me even though they feel they know exactly where I am. But that's the reason i stood still. Gave them false hope that I wasnt moving and when looking back they are always checking my spot hard lol. I"m one of those that love distortion and yeah it sux that it was gutted but it's still useful. There's a huge difference between keeping your distance so you don't get hit and looping and then pre-running. pre-runners run miles ahead where there's no looping, they are way outside of the terror radius, and even so far out that death slinger couldn't reach. Pre running is not omg killer just found me i gotta run and you have his terror radius on you the entire time while in chase. There's no interaction with pre-runners. From a swf side.. you're not doing anything but gens and leaving. That would be acceptable if 1 in the party was like that as other's interacted with the killer but an entire full stack that avoid killer and pre run is a waste. I get that its hard to see it that way when you don't want to ever be found but then why play? There's unkooking and healing and looping is actually a lot of fun even if you fail at it.

If you prerun 110 speed killers then you wasten their time and this leaves them with less progress on their part where when others are at that moment on gens the killers are loosing a lot.
It seems counterproductive running away soon but its very rewarding both for you (you stay longer alive) and for the team (if they do the gens and keep the survvior progress going). Prerunning is meta since the games start but people found it later whn "must be chased" mania kinda got weaker.
Because if you remember the game used to be more as hide and seek then people liked more chase part (especialy survivors due to content from that time) and prerunning was used later but newer survviors or shy guys did it always and its effective minimaly for that survivor for whom is killer coming for and if others can use that time waste for gens (time waste for killer) then its very strong, boring but strong which is what majority tends to lean on and we can see it on perks, addons or strategies.
As killer I do not ever chase pre runners. It's literally a fools game. Why would I waste my time following someone when I know 3 others are focusing on gens. I don't. I go and check the other gens. And guess what, the entire team pre runs from miles away and im kicking gens with barely any progress on them. It's counter productive for both parties involved. Only an idiot would stick to a chase and allow gens to get completed. Pre running is not meta. The game is about skill. Pre running doesn't involve any skill at all since players are avoiding all interactions with killer. No looping, no pallet dropping, no flashlights, no flash grenade's, no predicting, no skills at all. That's not how the game was designed. That's not how it was ever originally played.
I remember the old days very well. Strategy was highly used. Sure it was easier to go unseen and changed only because people cried that they couldn't do it. But I used to do 5 gens with just 1 other surv quite a bit and it took strategy. Now a days its just about impossible with the maps, killer speeds and aura reading. It's gone from strategy chill to rushed brain dead everyone's having a panic attack, game. Everyone new in every game holds back and watches, observes, plays cautiously… dbd is no different but pre running wasn't how it was done. And back then it took much longer for gens to get done. Now for 1 newbie to pre run out of fear and uncertainty ok sure, understandable. But an entire full squad of players that are definitely not new.. get a grip and learn strategy. It's pathetic. You have an abundance of perks, items, add-ons for a reason. Use them. Gens give the least amount of BP. Interacting with the killer gives the most. If you just want to do gens and leave then get into custom matches. There's nothing worse then facing an entire skill-less squad that avoid all interactions with you. -

It's also really really effective when the entire team does it.
I mean.. effective or a complete waste of time. Nothing is being done. Gens are getting done but they give the least amount of BP in comparison to chases etc. As killer you are basically just walking around. There's no interaction.

Quote:
Most just pre-drop and pre-run instead of actually looping. Many survivors unhook in front of the killer. Survivor is in such an overpowered state right now, especially with OP perks like Vigil, Sprint Burst, Lithe, Decisive Strike, and yet my teammates keep dying because they play by being carried by perks and map design instead of skill.End Quote
Actually everything in the game changed when the devs started catering to killers crying that they couldn't catch-n-kill anyone. The comradery has since died. Killer's these days do not respect survivors nor grant the final surv the hatch for a job well done. Back in the day many killer and survs would befriend each other because of mutual respect and admiration for game play. That's all changed. Then maps got insanely smaller. Maps were heavily pruned of obstacles and pallets. The lights were turned up and the maps are no longer dark. There's no more dark spots to hide in. Bushes are smaller and thinner making them harder to hide in. The fog on the ground used to be a thick blanket and now its pointless puffs scattered out. The corn field was extremely pruned and you can see right through it all the way to the other side. Survivor hit boxes are unrealistically huge allowing killer to hit around corners and through walls from insane distances. Heal and repair speeds were nerfed a long time ago. Takes ages now. There was boon but then that got nerfed as well.
Hatch was removed from the game and only shows up in the very end now. Wraith wasn't able to camp and block hatch like he is these days. Range killers can hit from insane unrealistic distances. Perks to smash through pallets like butter while in chase makes pallet dropping pointless. Insane speeds on killers which they even modified Michael to have now. It's because of these that attract brain dead players that cannot think to use strategy. They cry because its too hard and takes too long so we're left with skillless toxic players on both sides of the fog.
Pre dropping and Pre running should never be done. Pallets are for chases and loopers. Pre running miles away takes every bit of strategy and fun out of the game. No pallets, no flashlights, no flash grenade's, absolutely nothing including no looping. But that's what happens when people complain that they can't do it and it takes forever. I miss the days of hour long matches. Some matches would even time out. Talk about a challenge and you could do an entire 5 gen with just 2 survivors back then. Now everything is extremely small, extremely rushed, extremely dumb and aura read the entire time.
If survs are unhooking right in front of killer then why is killer camping hook? There's a strategy to unkooking if killer is there so if you're the killer deal with it. If i ever go back to hook to try and prevent the unhook well, I know what I am dealing with so may the better player succeed. If you can't catch a surv because they are using sprint burst at just the right time then stop chasing them and do a gen check. You shouldn't stay in chase long if you can't catch them anyways. You're just setting yourself up for a gen rush and zero k.
Nurse doesn't need nurfed at all. As surv I can dodge her attacks and be in chase with her for quite a while and I play on a laggy laptop. Blight needs obsticles so stay out of his path if there's plenty for him to bounce off of. Clown needs to be nurfed. He's boring to play against and his potions cooldown is almost obsolete. But Michael needs to go back to his old self. (I main Michael) Aunt Jemima (the one with the dog) Needs to be nurfed as she's like a 2 killer character. DO NOT reduce hook timers. The game is rushed enough.
You actually really sound like you are a camper. There's no reason to remove the anti-face camp. Most killers camp and its annoying as heck. Especially when they can't catch anyone entire match but get one finally at the end, they def face camp and its needed for survs to be able to jump off that hook. There's zero strategy in face camping its it's done way too much. I never camp. Let them get off hook and heal while you go and damage the gens. You can go back and look for them again and get more bp in further interactions. Besides, if you are not face camping then the anti face camp doesn't activate and is never an annoying to you at all.
When you play against an actual competent killer, be happy. Now you get to learn how to use strategy against them and hey you even get to learn how they are doing it as a competent killer. That's a good thing. And if you have a problem with your friends always forgetting about you on hook then they sukk and you need new friends. -

So, I used to be a Doc main and started playing a few games these days to try and find out why he has gotten weaker despite very few changes, and here are my conclusions so far:
1. The 2.5 seconds blocking items, vaults and pallet drops is too short these days. Blinds having gotten a slightly bigger room where it still counts makes using an m2 on a survivor with a flashlight kinda worthless because they can use flashlights quickly enough during the pick up animation to still hit the blind. A similar issue exists with loops, even a perfectly timed, perfectly placed shock gives survivors enough time to do another loop without much consequence, because loops have on average more distance between windows and pallets in the jungle. Meaning if you get the shock on 1 obstacle, they can often reach the other obstacle which you cannot afford to use another m2 in a row due to the slowdown.
2. The slowdown to 77% relative movementspeed while charging your m2. Just as a comparison, Freddy, who SLOWS survivors down, gets to be at 100% relative movementspeed while charging, and by slowing down survivors by 12%, giving him a relative movementspeed of 130% afterwards, while Doc just loses quite a significant amount distance unless its a dead-end(and his range is not even comparable to Freddy).
3. His Static Blast doesnt have the same effects as his m2 other than interrupting on-going actions. Despite survivors screaming for it. On top of that, unsure if it still applies, but items could not be used at all prior to the Unreal Engine 5 upgrade while survivors were in t3 madness, while nowadays, flashbangs, flashlights and fog vials can be used despite being in t3.
4. Pre-dropping and pre-running away from generators is exponentially stronger against Doc than most other killers who are not Trapper.
5. The hit recovery after a shock therapy is similar to Wesker and Kaneki, despite losing distance, despite the ability not dealing any damage. Since the blockage is 2.5 seconds and the hit recovery 1.5 seconds, you effectively only have 1 second to hit.
I think most are simple to fix to improve his gameplay:
1. Increase the 2.5 seconds to 3.5 seconds, that should fix the issues surrounding flashlights and current tile layouts.
2. change the slowdown from 3.08 meters per second while charging shock therapy, to at least 4.00
3. Give the static blast the same interaction blockage as shock therapy.
4. Give Doc an increase in gen kicking and pallet breaking speeds based on total madness levels (2% speed increase per level, giving a minimum of 8% when everyone has been shocked once, and a maximum of 24% if everyone is at t3. And personally, if everyone alive is t3 madness, I believe his m2 should be able to break pallets, its relatively easy to prevent that situation by hopping in lockers)
5. I think this should be dropped to 1.25 seconds recovery. The amount of misses that happen last second because a survivor knows they cannot get hit and vault instead is a punishment on top of a punishment
And all of them combined might be too much, but I do believe these weaknesses are far too much for a killer with no gap closer and no basekit ability that breaks pallets4. Pre dropping pallets and Pre running shouldn't ever be done. Pallets are for chases and Loopers. Why is anyone pre running? I'm not talking about omg killer is about to hit me I need to run I'm mean actual pre runners running from miles away. There's no looping, pallet dropping, flash lights, flash grenade's etc involved in pre running. It's literally nothing at all in the game. Involves zero skill or activity. It's a complete waste of time.
-
Because they think they actually did something. They don't bother to think about anyone but themselves nor evaluate the killers language in the game. Most players have zero skill or personality these days on both sides of the fog. It's sad but true.
-
I came to make this very post but I'm glad to see other's feel this way. This current mori system is pathetic and its a waste of gaming. As soon as the first 2 are dead, most seem to give up. (Doing all 5 gens is possible with just 2 ppl) I'm tired of this half assssed match stuff. Second to last, can often abandon game. Which means killer is going to be a try hard for that last 4k and MORI which they didn't earn. Why? cause kids these days are handed a free mori and they have to have it. It's bad enough that most hatches spawn near killer and people can say its not true but so often once hatch comes, its right by killer and all the way across the map for survs. Gone are the days people actually try to complete all objectives and get out. Now its about get a FEW bp's and quickly move on to the next. This rinse and repeat has tarnished the game. I know people complain about bleeding out and there's a simple resolution to fix everything. STOP THE BLEEDING OUT FEATURE. Bleeding out is a Developer's Fault. What really made you guys think that bleeding out, would be a good idea or considered fun? IF killer lets ppl bleed out then the timer end's (i'd say at 30 seconds) and survs can get back up and back into the game. Serves the killer right for leaving ppl on the ground at all. And before killer mains start to cry about toxic swf's.. if they find themself in that position then sure, down them all and hook them and kill them out of the game. I do it all the time with toxic full stacks. But it will prevent little kids from bleeding everyone out and taking the game hostage. But anyways, stop handing stuff out without causing people to earn all the perks. Mori is a perk. There was zero reason to give it out as a freebie. It just created a wave of toxic solo's and again, thats a Developer Fault.

So if 3 survivors leave after 2 minutes, you want to sit there with bots and do 5 generators and run out the door?
I don't believe that. At the very least, if you truly want that, I believe most people would disagree.I have been in that position many times. AGAIN… I use the bots. They don't ignore gens. I never said I wanted survivor bots rather than actual players so stop twisting things. I said Id rather have a bot then no one and some bots are better than the actual player so I'm not gonna be salty and cry about it.
This is about KILLER DC'S!! There's a reason bots replaced weak survivors that bail out. And now we have weak killer's that are bailing out when they can't get an easy fast 4k. This isn't an instant gratification game its a thriller challenge game. If you can't handle a challenge then go play maple story. -

I don't care about winning or losing either, and you completely missed my point.
Killer leaves = match ends and I can move on to the next match.
Survivor leaves = I am forced to waste time playing with NPCs.And apparently you missed my point. Im not there for some quick 2 minute match. I don't want to move on, I want to complete everything in a single match. Unless I die and then that's fair.
Survivor leaves and its not a problem. I know how to work the bots. They become my slaves and do my bidding. I'm sure you play with npc's every day in your other games that are single player and never complain. -
This.. and these bp's are sad. Half the amount they could be in a full match. What I see is the killer got tired cause he couldn't catch-n-kill. Those killers in the screenies are not new, they are leveled. That tells me they are 4k try hards. And if they are not getting that 4k right up front they bail and move on to the next group that they can rush the 4k on. I honestly hate those killers the most. Match ends so quickly that bp's are a joke, the entire match was a waste. And I've confronted those killer's in end game. They don't care about anyone but themselves, their goal is 4k as fast as they can and move on. That's not a game nor a challenge. Look I main Myers and getting 4k is easy. There's no reason to Rage DC. No reason to camp n tunnel. (I'll even admit I do tunnel and camp on the very rare occasion when dealing with a highly toxic surv that doesn't leave my side and I tell the other survs to not save them, It's punishment time) But lets be honest this DC'ing business has to be stopped. It was pure hell when there was no penalties for dc'ing, but Rage DC'ing as killer is really freakin bad and deserves severe punishment. Actually if you don't agree you are showing what type of killer you are and I suggest you get better or find another game. There are countless streamers and tutorials on how to play each killer and loop etc.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/465985/killers-rage-dcing-is-getting-out-of-hand
As a survivor main, I don't care if the killer DCs, for a few reasons.
1. When they DC, the match ends and the survivors win. No time wasted, you can just go queue for the next match.
2. They are alone on their side. If they get looped so hard that they feel like they are out of their skill level, then I don't mind if they leave if they give up. I very much prefer this over them just AFKing somewhere while we finish the generators.
On the other hand, when survivors leave, the match continues and the remaining players are forced to play with bots. Personally I don't want to play either with or against bots in a multiplayer game, and I don't know how anyone can claim "bots are good". What? They actively work against you instead of being useful. They follow you around like a lost puppy when injured. Even if you're on a generator, they'll spam crouch next to you to ask for heals instead of just joining you on the gen. They'll actively sacrifice team mates while they are in a chase. Their behavior infuriates me more than any rando ever could.- When they DC and the match ends it's incomplete. It's not a win. (I really hate this win or lose mentality everyone has, there's no victory banner for either side at end of matches) I was not done with the match. I did not finish the main objective. I did not reach the end and witness any potential in end game on either side. If I wanted to queue up, run around for a few minutes for some very low bp then bail, well I would not even bother playing at all then. I entered queue in agreement to the game in whole. From beginning to end. I'd rather die on hook then deal with Rage DC's.
2. I'm always alone when I'm running Myers. As killer I'm orchestrating the match. Do we have some goofy fun? Do we farm? Do we hustle and really go up against each other? There is no feeling alone. If anything they are my prey, my toys, my children and the entire map is my playground. As far as looping goes, it's a challenge one both ends. Who can win the loop. If I find that I am losing the looping battle then I'm smart enough to stop and do a gen check. Hats off to the looper for being better than I at the chase. As a survivor, I'd rather a killer go afk while the team finishes gens and leaves by gate. Its honorable at least to let the team wrack up the points and leave by gate since killer is feeling defeated. I respect those killers which rarely happens in my experience.
As a survivor who deals with other's botting, I find it equally ridiculous. It's a cop out. BUT.. I can work with a bot rather then how it used to be, being a man short. Many times I come across killers who apologize for the surv botting and the match also took a turn for the better. At least bots do gens and heal and some bots are actually better then the player who bailed out. The only time a bot works against you on your team is when it comes to hatch. The bot detects hatch like crazy and will leave you in the dust but then when left with a bot on my team and its just me and the bot left, I make sure the bot dies so there's no hatch battle in the end. YOU CAN use bots in your favor in many ways. They are bots, learn the program and direct them. If they follow me, i get in a locker. Once you enter a locker while injured they leave and stop following you immediately. If on a gen and they are begging for a heal i just ignore them and then they move on to the gen or another needed objective. They don't sacrifice teammates while in a chase but they do know how to loop the killer like crazy and im all for that. Keep the killer busy while I do gens or other needed objectives.
-
There's no incentive for people to do objectives and escape anymore. Too many years of catering to people crying has left the game filled with entitled unskilled people that have to be toxic in order to be happy. As far as 2 players left that people are talking bout, its not hard. One man on each side of the map teeter tottering the gens. This causes the killer to have to run back and forth because if he wastes too much time trying to chase.. the gen's are getting done. The only problem is getting that teammate that knows how to do this. There is no challenge in quitting so I don't understand anyone who gives up and moves on to the next.
-
Looks like I'll be one of those dodger's a lot of people hate and I am perfectly okay with that. I don't ever do that when I'm on Myers but when I solo it I most definitely do. I weed out the toxic players. I'm not going to go match after match all night night with teammates that love to sell out the rest so they can live. There's a definite profile people fit into and they usually come with bond. The old times of sticking it out and doing your objectives and escaping no matter what are gone. It's mostly toxic players now and killer's eat it up. So If I can see you fit that toxic profile.. yeah I'm out. You can deal with another minute, maybe 2 of finding another surv and have your toxic fun with them.
-
The thing is all objectives are up for grabs with everyone. Some people have the objective to heal others. Some people are really good at healing and doing gens with the killer running around very near by. To say NO you simply shake your head no. It's actually quicker to shake your mouse from side to side then trying to pull up an emote wheel (No. I don't want a wheel) or even using #3 for a hand up stop emote. I've been in the game for years and talking is 1, a benefit for playing with friends and or making friends to play with so you can use coms 2, there's plenty of ways to communicate. I just jump forward and shake my head no when I'm telling someone not to heal me and point to a gen to say do that instead and it's pretty clear. If the game is a complete loss and there is only myself and 1 other I will often sacrifice myself and I will hand a med kit to the other person and point to gate as to say "save yourself and escape" then I run off to bait the killer and make killer mad enough to tunnel and hook me. I've have never had anyone not understand that. When I play killer I often talk to the survivors but seems newer players do not understand the language. For example I just like to scare people on Meyers, I don't need points and often let the team get all the points they want. I will hit the gens but too many don't realize that means "WORK THE GEN" or I will swing my weapon towards me and in that I'm saying "COME TO ME" or swinging your weapon and or shaking no when carrying a surv means "DON'T WIGGLE" I find an awful lot of people have no clue what killer is saying and they run off all scared. Okay, I get it, I meant to scare them but I don't wanna kill them. However I do run into people that are what I call old school and they know exactly how to communicate with killers. But in all honesty, communication isn't part of the game UNLESS you are playing with friends and on comms. Those who do NOT listen to me while I'm talking to them on Meyers… they get hurt cause GAME ON then. Which just adds to the fun. Short reply.. Just shake your head No. It's always been an option.
-
I don't believe you and I am not the problem when someone is using bond to divert killers onto others instead of doing anything themselves. You are 100% abusing it making excuses, probably because you don't want to stop using it. Now unless you have anything actually intelligent to add instead of trying to gaslight, I am done conversiing with you.

Ok, but i stay by my opinion.
Bond is completely fine, don´t need any nerfs and is not toxic at all.
It is toxic. I am reporting all those who abuse it so the devs can SEE for themselves that there is a problem. Survs didn't think dead hard was a problem but killers thought otherwise and look what happened. Just because you don't see a problem. Doesnt mean there isnt one.

I'm using that as an example not saying you DID. You can absoloutley get away from someone trying to sandbag you, I'm just saying if you focused less on what others are doing and put yourself first more you'd be better equipped to deal with it, rather than playing the blame game.
It sucks but you just have to adapt.No. Unlike you, I am a team player. The more teammates we have in the match the more we can get done and all get out. The only time I do NOT watch out for my team is when I get these toxic asshats in the match. I have no problem escaping or being the last to survive and that's with doing all the objectives. That doesn't mean there isn't a real issue here. The more you defend bond the more I believe you are one of those toxic bond users.
-

Ok, i don´t know what teammates you got but that seems not normal.
Bond is good (beginner) perk - from a starting character Dwight.
I can not really remember that i have experienced toxic Bond players. If i see a toxic one they usually have other perks.
It seems like bad luck you got and i would very very highly doubt your assumption that 95% players abuse this perk.
Well they didn't used to and honestly I'm chalking it up to kids being out of school for summer. But its extremely ridiculous and just as I've stated which is why it needs nerfed. I have reported these players knowing that the devs can look at all the footage and see for themselves that its really going on. And before you think they can't do that, they can and do and I get feedback from them after reviewing the instances.

You're an amusing one, I use it with empathic, Overcome and duty of care so I can save others and take the chase for them potentially while giving a speed boost.
But you can leave the area, staying on the gen and expecting the killer not to go to you is entirely the problem here. Making yourself a harder target to go for is part of the game, I'm not saying there isnt people using bond to do this, but you can stop it from happening by focus on what YOU can do.
Do you think these survivors wont hear a gen being worked on and do the same? Welcome to solo queue. You didn't even read what I said apparently. Who said I wanted to stay on the gen? Who said I wanted to claim it like I was entitled? That's not even close to what I said. There is absolutely nothing I can do when people bring bond just to harass other players by following them around the entire match. And I do mean, they are not doing a damn thing but following others to feed them to the killer. Nor do I play solo q. You like to assume an awful lot without actually knowing anything. Again You are giving off toxic bond user vibes!
-
@Rokku_Rorru said:
Bond can be used to help others, I use it to get healed and take hits/heal others too.
Remember if someones coming your way, just start making distance, you're not entitled to the gen you are working on lolThe fact that you said entitled, shows me you ARE one of those toxic people that use bond for your own advantage and you sabotage your teammates. I'm not going to spend the entire match running from other survs. If they used bond to HELP do gens together, that would be cool. But admit it, You use bond to sabo ur team and try to make it out alive!

@joeyspeehole said:
No thanks. Most of the survivor aura perks have already been gutted. I see it used more for killer info now, since you can track where people are running. I'm sure some folks use it to throw the killer off by leading them to someone on a gen, but that’s pretty rare.
@Marc_123 said:
Hard no.
It is the opposite. Players who run bond usually not run to the repairing survs.
Also you can repair when you see where a teammate is being chased with bond.
Most toxic perks are complete different ones…
Actually its been about 9 out of 10 games (and thats being generous) that people are running bond just to dump killer onto other teammates to save themselves. It's very rare that it doesn't happen like that or else I would not be here requesting this removal. There is no good reason for bond. And if you are using it to take over someone's objective and just letting them die so you can get the objective points and stay alive then you are the problem. People using bond, hide from killer, avoid being hooked at all and let everyone else die while they run around and complete all the objectives.
All these freakin lame perks are causing a division within the team and not encouraging teamwork. People with bond also use it to follow teammates around to use them as bait to get away from killer and also chase teammates around for heals and not do anything else. I cannot count the amount of players I have come across that will NOT do the gens and just chase you with bond wanting a heal every time they get touched. And when I mean they refuse to do gens, I'm dead serious. Its more important to get the gens done and get out then waste an entire match doing nothing but healing back n forth the entire time until everyone is dead.
Bond is being abused 95% at least, of the time and it needs to be removed. Players use perks to be toxic to their team and not work together. These toxic bond users also rat out the other teammates (following them and causing all kinds of noise to alert killer) trying to become friends with the killer by feeding the killer, hoping they get to live and get hatch. Bond users are toxc and sabotage the entire match for everyone but themselves. They ruin the matches and waste everyone's time. GTFO! DBD has become a laughing stock with these lame perks and changes over the years and its only brining in more toxic nutbrains that are only in it for themselves. Remove Bond! 💯

"I don't go for kills"
"Killer is too easy"
Cause and effect. If you played to win, you'd go against good survivors who aren't new players hiding in corners, and then the game wouldn't be so easy. Problem solved.
My killer Michael is leveled up, not quite 100 but he's not a baby and I've been playing since 2017 so I come across mostly seasoned survs but what I love the most is a challenge. For the most part its not a challenge because players today do not use strategy and skills. I do not have issues with survs hiding in corners. I'm also amazing at hide n seek so if they did play that way, bring it.. Id find them!! Surv mains use toxic behavior and troll. I'm soooo all for that because I will slaughter them and make them miserable to the point they all dc. Survs now a days are too chicken to stick it etc. But I def give hats off to ones that can out play me when I'm on Michael.
However, I do not feel there is a play to win in dbd. There's no VICTORY at the end of the match. There's nothing but points. Points you use to get the items and offerings you really like. I have everything and so many of it all already. So I never keep score and getting 4k only feels great when I'm teaching toxic people a lesson. 😁Just to be clear, I get 4k just about every dayum single match, cause dbd is full of toxic people rather then ones that know how to play. Even playing surv I hate most of the rando's that come in bc they dont use skill or strategy on their end either. And sometimes I will throw them to the killer to teach them a lesson.

I'm sorry but intentionally losing games kind of takes away from any of your ideas credibility. You don't even play DBD.
I've been playing for 5 hours today alone. So you main killer and want survs to lose to you all the time is that it? These new matches are an effing joke. It's not balalnced and caters to killers. I main Michael and its not fun to win every freakin match. The player base now is full of cry babies.
Not to mention.. its an Event suggestion. Meaning you don't have to participate.

I just described how the game mechanics work. Hatch has predetermined locations and randomly picks one at the beginning of the match. It doesn't decide to spawn near the killer. Here is some evidence, with a method that can allow you to find hatch before it actually appears:
https://youtu.be/5lEGhINzd18?si=bIw4Bhxs1mBG4MLo
I don't care what you described. I know what I'm seeing.

What do you mean hatch spawns right next to the killer? Hatch location is predetermined from the beginning of the match. It doesn't appear for the killer magically. Odds are better for the killer to find it, but that is mainly because A) the Survivor has to hide and B) the Killer has a higher movement speed. Nothing that wasn't the case back then.
Seems logical doesn't it. When I mean instantly appears next to killer I literally mean that. As soon as third person fully dies, killer is no where near killershack and it gets closed, thats instant. As I said, I can see the difference from way back when to now. Don't be salty by my experiences. I get its hard for kids to play killer but thats why skill and strategy are important. Not handouts for killer making it easier for them.
-
@Ohyakno said:
What exactly do you think changed that makes the hatch spawn in front of the killer?
Seems like you just want the survivor stuff back. Do you still want first hook moris? No basekit BT? Guarantee you'd see that in nearly every game because it's more novel now than it was then.
No my killer main is Michael. I honestly feel killer is too easy. I don't even go for any kills if I'm having fun jump scaring everyone one. If the survs don't know how to communicate or are toxic then I kill them but its not a challenge. It WAS a challenge back in the day. I used to run matches that would last until the timer ran out. That's too long for little kids but it was sure fun and involved skill and strategy. Something these kids now don't know how to use. I explained a lot of what I and my friends were discussing about the old days. As far as the hatch difference, It was very challenging for either party to find hatch in the old days. Now its pretty instant to find, there's a pattern and usually spawns at killer shack without any offerings or right next to killer 9/10 times. Ive been playing since 2017 so its not hard to see the difference.

Micheal and too easy in the same sentence. If you keep playing you will reach higher mmr and better survivors to adequately challenge you.
Apparently you didn't read the part where I said I've been playing since 2017. That's more then a while. Michael isn't my only killer either. I choose him as my main for the jump scares. I grew up watching Halloween since I was 5 so he's got a piece of my childhood. All killers are too easy. The aura reading perks, The bazillion traps for each killer, the countless gen regressions, gate regressions.. its all too pathetic.

Survivor players have been being ignored and abused for years and BHVR doesn't care and hasn't cared. Nothing has been done and the queue times show. Games are ending in less than 5 minutes for the vast majority of the playerbase and part of that is because the maps are so tiny now killers don't have to think before they are on top of a person. There is nothing "intense" about being tunneled and camped the entire game because a killer player decided you were their target. I have spawned in the killers terror radius more times than I can count now, I have been hit less than a minute into the game. All of that is because the awful map decision of making everything smaller.
This. I came to rant about this very thing and searched incase there were other posts about how insanely small the maps are. Been playing since 2017 and this isn't fun anymore. This is game is a freakin joke. I play Michael and it isnt fun as killer. No chance to use strategy or skill. You can see all the way across the map like its 40 feet away while standing at the opposite side. Meaning you can literally see everything and everyone. I have no idea why the devs cater to these crying little ********. Killer is too easy to play. Playing as surv is just irritating. Your aura is shown most of the time so its just a game of running. Just pure running.
-
This sounds like crying because you can't do it. I main michael and its way to easy to get 4k every match without camping, tunneling or slugging. Its freaking too easy that its boring. So if you can't win as killer, thats a you problem and is probably because you don't know how to use skill or strategy.
-
The tutorial is fine. I've been playing since 2017. The tutorial wont teach skill or strategy. That is all personal preference. You can learn about every characters perks, etc in game. It's really up to the person to look them all over and pick someone and test it all out. Streamers, YT etc have always been the go to for advice, tips and tricks. The problem I see more and more is the players get younger and younger and have no clue how to develop skill and strategy. Constantly going for the camp/tunnel 4k right away or ratting out other teammates to save themselves. Grown As* people don't play pathetically like that unless they have some serious issues.

BHVR wants to add a new AFK crow system to the game. If someone thinks the PTB's time limit for hiding is too short, but can offer a different time limit they feel is more fair, then that player is giving feedback on how to make the AFK crows more fair.
But if someone's answer is "any time limit is automatically unfair", then they are unwilling to offer suggestions to make the AFK crows more fair, because the only acceptable option for them is "never implement the new AFK crows".
And yes, it is valid feedback to say "never implement the new AFK crows". But if the AFK crows do go live, it doesn't help give feedback on how to make them more fair.
Oh is it BHVR? I had no idea. 🙄 There should not be a time limit at all. And I am sick of giving my feedback only for it to be ignored while killers who are incapable of using skill and strategy are catered to and handed kills. This is not rocket science and feelings don't matter. The afk system is not even about being away from the keyboard. Killers keep complaining that they can't loop (skill problem) they can't catch survs (strategy problem). They complain that survs are toxic. Killers are more toxic. Is a survivor using a flash light? bring light born or learn how to combat it. When I play Michael I never bring lightborn even when all 4 have flash lights. Game on… I'm going to show them how its done without lightborn. Oh the surv found hatch too quickly, they are petitioning to get rid of hatch. What? are you that much of a nutbrain? Hatch spawns closest to killer 80%+ of the games. (don't even mentioning hatch offerings, is it really an advantage when killer can see it and camp the hatch spawn?) Now there's perks to slow down gate opening, after no-ed, nwo etc. Really??? Survs got distortion to combat all the perks killers use and the second killers complained about not being able to see them, wouldn't know, distortion got nerfed. Ugh.. im sick of it. Giving feedback doesn't actually do anything unless you agree with the devs and beg for a minor tweak. I'm not going to ask for a modified afk system. I am blatantly saying its bs and it shouldn't exist to begin with.
I've been playing since 2017, this behavior, catering to killers and shrinking maps, taking pallets and obstacles away, removing buildings, buffing killer perks, adding more killer perks, nerfing surv perks, taking away the fog and removing grass, brightening the maps, removing the old struggle, removing the old hatch system, making empty maps etc just gets worse every freakin few months. Now you wont be able to jump off hooks like you used to, or use skill and strategy like you used to. Stealth killers are a thing but heaven forbid stealth survivors could exist.
I've tested out the new system, killer and map in PTB and HELLLLL NAAAW. I am not putting up with micromanagement. And fact is, that is all this is now. Micromanaging the survs to cater to killers. If I want to be sneaky and avoid killer while helping my team, I should be able to do it my way. Not follow a strict protocol or get penalized. This is no longer a game but more like therapy for those that play killer. Got to feed the babies or they will just keep crying. -

no it isnt??? outside of the pizzaria there are multiple double pallets that chain into safe tiles hell if your lucky one might even chain right into shack
Yes it is. The maps used to be a great size with many buildings, pallets etc. They keep getting smaller and smaller to allow the killer to find survs instantly really. The fnaf map is pathetically small. It's as bad as the new bone yard map that removed the 2 story building and only has a small shack in the middle. You can see all the way across the map 100% of the time. The entire point is hiding in the woods or neighborhood while completing objectives to get out alive.
Too many main killers cry and all the maps shrunk. Entire buildings removed. Most pallets removed. Obstacles removed. Lampkin Lane doesn't even resemble Lampkin Lane anymore. All maps have been gutted so the killer can easily see the survs. Its pathetic. Killers needing to be handed kills. They need to play GTA where you can jump all the npcs that are right at your fingertips.

If a survivor is legitimately hiding from the killer, do you think there could be a fair time limit? For example do you think 2 minutes is enough time for the survivor to move away from the area, or do you think killers are spending over 2 minutes searching an area for a survivor? If 2 minutes isn’t enough time, then would 4 minutes be enough time?
Why should there be a time limit? The point is to survive. The matches have a default 1hour timer. Regardless of what's been done by either party. If the survs havent escaped, if the killer hasn't killed them all then it just ends in 1 hour. It was totally fine back then, it was good. It was amazing to be in a challenge for an hour. Why does everyone need INSTANT gratification? It offer's nothing. It's all about accumulating as many points as you can from all the objectives which.. doing gen's give the least points yet this afk system is forcing gen focus. It's blatantly obvious this new afk system is catering only to killer mains and the killer mains that cannot succeed by skill and strategy. So the devs are doing it for them. Force all survs out in the open to allow killer to see and kill them all as quickly as possible to move on to the next round. Seriously who really likes rinse and repeat every 5-10 minutes? 🙄
-
I mained Michael but got bored because it was too easy so I played survivor for a challenge. But its completely going micromanaged that there wont be any challenge either way.
-
The new fnaf map is soooo freakin small it needs the double pallets and windows. There's barely any room around the pizza joint to do anything without being seen. I hate the new map. I'm actually sick of all these maps shrinking and buildings being removed. It's all too pathetic really.
-
As soon as the new AFK system is in full swing I'm quitting and so are my friends.
AFK means away from keyboard. The fact that this new afk system is being done at all is just feeding the killers and this game is getting nothing but worse and worse. It's an absolute joke. There is no more strategy or skill involved at this point. The main goal is for survivors to be in plain sight at all times (thousands of aura perks, visual perks, auditory perks etc) so the killer can kill everyone.
Lockers, totem cleansing, ducking behind walls, running the killer the entire match, running unkooks the entire match.. i mean i can go on and on about all the strategy that is being removed. All because the game is flooded with underage kids that cannot learn skill nor strategy and grew up entitled. So entitled that its a constant nurf on survivors and buffs on killers and now a new afk system that has NOTHING TO DO WITH ACTUALLY BEING AFK. How asinine is that. It's now going to be a micromanaged game to support killers. I have complained for years how easy it is to play killer and zero skill involved but hey, as long as no one has to think and games only last 10 minutes at most its a win I guess. -
Some of the most fun I've had is in end-game chat. If you get triggered by people poppin off in chat then leave. But This is a fast paced game, everyone's adrenaline is running high. Toxic people exist during the match and end-game chat can let people blow off some steam. It's actually quite comical most of the time and once people get it out of their system you get the chance to see they are actually cool people.
The most toxic people are the ones that leave extreme hate and death messages on players profiles. That's when you can tell someone has real anger issues and its not just a case of blowing off some steam in a fast paced horror game.Besides, the most toxic players are those that play console. They are absolutely the worst and most toxic gamers to exist. And those who hide their steam account.. that's like waving a toxic flag right there. My point is stop asking for games to do your job, learn to control yourself and take accountability. If you get triggered, that's a you problem and not the games problem. Learn to deal with it or walk away.

That's just too bad then huh. Players including killer's have been end proc' and pulling the plug to make it seem like it wasn't a rage quit for almost a decade. This is why BP were removed in the first place after a DC, people abuse the system. There's millions of BP you can get daily. NO. NEVER. NOT AGAIN NO. DISAGREE! ❌
The reason BP was taken away after a DC is because people abused the system. Back in the day people used DC'ing as a means of working the prestige. Once they took that away people abused DC'ing as a means to bail out of matches for various reasons. They didn't like killer, they didn't like the map, they didn't like specific team chars, they didn't like how someone played, they didn't like char account names.. the reasons people DC are endless but it screws the rest of the team over and throws the match. It even throws the match for killer as there's less achievements and points to earn when someone rage DC's. Imagine an entire team DC's after they find out who the killer is. This wastes the time for the player who chose killer. Now the person playing killer has to endure multiple match dc's over and over again. No one wants to play with that crud going on. Or you are playing solo while the rest of the team DC's leaving you alone with the killer and its only been 30 seconds into the match. (most killers don't care that someone dc'd, they will kill whoever is left) Killer's also rage DC when they can't catch someone in a chase or they feel players are gen rushing. A lot of killer's just don't know how to play and get salty and DC. Now imagine dc's happening at least every other match. That's how bad it was. The other way to resolve that was to implement bots in replace of DC'ers because it wasn't fair to the remaining players. However the bots need to be reworked as they are selfish and can sabotage the team. But in no means should BP's remain after anyone DC's it's a means to halt people from dc'ing at all. Too bad, fix your system, reload the game, join your friends lobby instead of using your lobby or vice versa. Whatever you need to do to fix it on your end, do it. Its your responsibility. But don't ever cry about BP's not remaining after you DC!!! 🤣

Such cool potential power options too:
- Venom spit for both area denial and infection.
- Web-zip for hinder or reel-in
- Scurry/subterranean ambush
- Placed egg sacs maturing into small spiderlings which roam the immediate area and detect nearby survivorsI ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS IDEA!! And just to clarify I have a spider phobia as well but this is a game and lets face it, Who wouldn't be afraid of a killer hunting them down to brutally hook and kill them. So this idea that it triggers someone's phobia is a load of dung. This game actually desensitizes you, it doesn't make things worse. It's like face your fears and you wont be so afraid anymore. So those who cry need to go play maplestory! Seriously, why is anyone playing a murder game if you can't handle scary creatures coming at you. Its asinine at its finest.
Killers like Aunt Jamima with a lame dog are boring. The clown is funny. The unknown is boring. Twins pathetic. The Knight is lame. Skull Merchant is lame. The rest are okay or cool. I main Michael. A heartless brutal murderer that will stop at nothing to cut your guts out. He's an OG that has given more people in history nightmares then spiders ever will.
I want a badass spider that shoots webs to trap you, instead of down you. And your teammates have to pull you out of the web instead of aid. If they don't then spider can then rip them out of the web to hook them.. UPSIDE DOWN WHILE IN A CACOON!! OMG PLEASE IMPLAMENT THIS! 😍😍😍 -
That WAS prestige. The level you had and the bloody cosmetics was the visuals to show off your effort. Now its just the bloody cosmetics but with extra % for playing surv or killer and the massive 400%, everyone surpasses the bloody cosmetics quickly unless you are new. Now you get badges and banners to show off your efforts, whether it be from a tome or for twitch rewards. But again too many used the visuals to avoid high end players.
-
It's random and between 5 people. The game tries to ensure no repeat maps. But if you want to play on a certain map, bring the map offering. It's really that simple.
-
I am 100% for old school DBD!! Can make it a seasonal event at least so those that cried about it, don't have to play it. But those of us that miss the heck out of it could actually enjoy DBD for what it was.. a classic.
