Most likely not unless there are a few cosmetics I absolutely want. I just need to get Dark Senses completed and I'm done with the Tome. I care more about the lore you get.

I let a group of SWF get this.
-
Don't worry guys, they're 'placeholders' like they said these challenges would be..... Until the last week of course.

I don't think it's that significant either besides Beads of course :p
However, if they're going to nerf the top killer, then they should at least buff two of the weaker ones.
-
Otz, OhTofu, Malika, Umbra, and Brother Cope. Not in that order, but Otz is my favorite.

You always get pip progeress for a unhook wether it's safe or not. Why couldn't they only make it effective if the killer was in a "farming" meters distance away. I think it should be a button not a perk. That's pointless.. it might be a good idea they could make it help the farming.. I just don't care I play in full lobby's or I play killer. That's how you avoid this
Not sure if that whole thing is directed to me, but:
1) Yes, you do get points for unhooking
2) You actually lose more points for unsafely hooking someone.
3) Neither I or OP say anything about it being a perk, so I'll assume you're either just talking in general or to someone else in thread.
That's great that you play in a full lobby or a killer whenever you can't get a full SWF. Unlike you, there are others that don't play in a full SWF or can't get one going, but want to play survivor anyways. This suggestion is for them and dismissing it with: 'just play in a full SWF or killer' isn't a correct answer to the problem.
-
This would make me want to never go save a teammate, especially now with the rift challenges. I only play solo now and if I load into a lobby of 3 players, I'm going to assume they're all together. If I go to unhook someone and they deny me of the unhook even when it's clear that punishes me because
A) I could have worked on a gen
B) Denies me Benevolence emblem points
C) Puts me in a spot of weakness
Instead I think we should have a BP score event that takes away not only your emblem points (it does this already), but BP as well to promote safe unhooking.
-
Just got to 32 a few moments ago.
-
I'm at 30 so just 40 more to go.
-
If there was an option to increase BP gains (100 -> 200) then I'd be in favor of that instead of more BP perks. There's currently 32 characters in the game and it'll be harder for newer players to come into the game if BPs aren't adjusted (either from lobby, perks, BP events, etc) to match the continuation of added killers and survivors.
-
What are you all on? I've only been playing Killer 90% since BH and Archives since people are farming hook saves and my lobbies take a max of 2 minutes (usually just 15-30 seconds) to find. Regular PS4 (no slim, or special edition, etc) here.
-
I could believe that because there are some pretty bad red rank survivors. But it was then when he claimed that him and his team spent the whole game just looking for Ruin instead of gen rotating to find ruin that I knew he was kinda BS'ing.
-
I play both equally, but for me, I think killer is much more stressful than solo que survivor.
-
I have no issues with solo que survivors. Yes, sometimes teammates will leave you on first hook even though you've done 3 of 3 gens, looped killer, went for a couple saves, etc. Other than that, I would say it's pretty chill.
Red rank killer however, I am always feeling like I have to constantly give a 110% effort and when they're popping off 2 gens simultaneously while I'm still chasing someone I feel like the only way for me to come back is to slug/tunnel to slow down the game. It's not a fun experience at all when you're going up against a SWF, but it's been a lot more tolerable since the medkit nerf. The only time it's chill for me in red rank (and I don't play Spirit), is when I know for sure there's a couple solo ques or double SWF in lobby. Or just hope that the 4-man SWF isn't that great.
-
I haven't read much past the first page, but seeing as it's page 3 and you're all still talking about Tuft of Hair makes me think the discussion is stagnant.
Survivors are not disadvantaged at all. Regardless of solo que or SWF, all 5 gens can get completed in under 5 minutes without much difficulty even when there is a first hook in the first minute of the game. If you think that's not advantageous for survivors then I don't know what to tell you.
-
Red. Solo que is much more tolerable when everyone else is red. As for killer, I enjoy it less because coordinated SWFs just completely destroy me, but other than that, it's usually a good experience when I'm playing red ranks as killer.
-
It's more balanced now. People just have to get used to it. It was definitely not okay when people were abusing instaheal where the killer would have put them into the dying state and they go to full health state instead of injured state.
So basically, if that was too confusing, there was a way for survivors to perfectly time an instaheal and the moment killer made contact that would have put them into dying state, they were downed and then immediately fully healthy instead of: Injured -> Insta to full -> Hit -> Back to injured.

This is ridiculous. SWF with one buddy. Takes 10 minutes minimum to find a game. Keep getting error can't connect to host and then one of us will get in the lobby (wasn't that fixed some time ago) while the other is stuck waiting. Don't even get me started on the BAD WORD lobby dodging killers because survivors are using items and they are babies. Who caaaaares about items, play the match.
I think they need to implement a thing where when there's a surplus of one side give a blood incentive or something to play the side that needs more players. These waiting times are killing the game for me.
This is coming from someone who plays both sides and is frustrated at this. Rant over and thank you.
You guys may want to do solos or full lobbies. Noticed with 2-3 man SWF that it's really bad. Killer I'm getting games under a minute. Survivor is 2 min max at solo or full SWF.
EDIT: On PS4 as well.

Well, this patch has ruined game performance on my end. PS4 and my pings are suddenly god awful and rubber banding is crazy. The game is pretty much garbage now. All my internet speeds are fine and I have a PS4 pro and a brand new router and modem. Its the update and I’m pissed.
I've only had bad rubber banding on killers. Survivors I'm not lagging at all and I have the standard PS4 that was on sale during Black Friday when The Last of Us remastered and GTA5 were bundled together.

I queued for killer for about 5 minutes and decided I would rather get games in as survivor. Can't stand the long queues.
Luckily, the queue times for Killer and Survivors are less than 2 minutes at most on PS4.
As for the event. Kinda lackluster, but kinda understand since they had to rush it. I've been killer a majority of the time and always let them know I'm down to farm. There was one group that didn't want to so I just sweated for my BPs.
-
I'd be fine if there weren't so many saturated in the Rift, but since there are I'd have to say no. Seems like they're more of a filler cosmetic more than anything. There are a couple nice ones, but they're really bland or as someone else mentioned, repeats. I'd be down if there were unique emotes in there though. Skins I think they should have added more in.
-
That's why you use Burrowed Time, Decisive Strike, or Dead Hard. All good perks for those situations. If killer's camping then go do gens. Simple
Don't loop killer's if basement's down there and you're injured. Simple.
...
Simple.

Leatherface was the only DLC I bought. Once the game had a sale I spent it on all licensed content and it was rather cheap. Don't remember the total cost, but no where near $100+. I would have waited to buy Leatherface as well, but having BBQ and WGLF is godsend for saving hundreds (probably even 1k+) hours. Can't wait until I have everyone P3 and ditch WGLF and BBQ on a handful of killers.
-
Thank you, BHVR!
-
This.
Also there's not a whole lot killers can do to earn BP compared to survivors. Basically just finding survivors, powers, hit, hook, sacrifice, kicking gens, breaking pallets, and chase.
Survivors: Powering Gens, Unhooking, Heal (2 Different States worth), Totems, Stuns (Flash/Pallet), Struggle, Protection Hits, Safe Unhooks, Escaping Grasp, Escaping Trial, Powering Exit Gates, Hatches, Sabotaging Hooks, Basement Time, Being Chased, Disarming Powers (Ghostface/Hag examples), etc
There's a lot more for survivors to do than killers and there's 4 of them. If you lower BPs for killers there's just going to be less incentives to play as killer (and the incentive is rather low at the moment), which will lead to higher que times (as if it wasn't high already).

Being on console is a bit different as we don't have a postgame chat. As a killer, I have only been messaged 3 times in a span of a year by survivors complimenting me for my performance, most other times it's a bunch of salty survivors messaging. I even once just a few weeks ago had a survivor abuse the 'follow' feature on PS4 and kept ringing notifications to me the entire match. Sometimes I'll get a couple that want to call me bad even though I got a 4k with 2-3 hooks per survivor.
As a survivor, I'd say I rarely ever say GG myself out of the hundreds of games I played; not because I didn't think it was a good game, but rather I couldn't be bothered with the steps to say it (takes like a 1-2 minutes). I have a few times said GG when I'm playing against a good nurse (respect for you nurse mains on console) or just against a good killer in general that didn't tunnel the ever living crap out of someone or camping. Good map pressure, etc. Even today I said GG to a Huntress that I looped and lost twice (first lasted for a good 2-3 minutes, second a bit over a minute before giving up) and then died on first hook later when I went for a save and heal under hook (and there were still 3 survivors up besides me). I actually get messaged more by other survivors than killers, 90% of the time just wanting to talk smack as I play solo que often. I prefer playing with others that are solo que. I'd say the worst experience as a solo que survivor is playing with a 3-man stack.
I do have killers who will message me GG on console and most of the time it's because we both performed well. I rarely have a killer message me just to talk s**t.

Its really surprising to me that everyone is expecting Halloween event after Halloween???
I can't list any off the top of my head, but from what I know there are actually quite a few that do their event after Halloween. Same with Christmas.

DCs should be punishable for both sides, not one. I can't believe people are here saying devs should be reworking the addons instead of working on a solution towards DC in general. Gotta love the people saying, "you deserved it". I guess we know who likes to DC.

Well if you go, bye and I hope you find a game that makes you happy.
I do wonder if Stranger Things was pushing the patch out, or they were scared cause if they delayed it ALL OF YOU WOULD DO THIS EXACT THING THAT YOU ARE DOING!
It's a whole new engine update. Do you want the sound broken like in PTB? Do you want things to be even more buggy and tattered? I think it's funny so many people say they should take time off of DLCs and fix bugs but the second they do, this kinda thing happens.
I understand you are upset, and i'm not saying that you can't be upset. But don't be rude with it.
Quick question for you. Can you explain where you thought I was being rude?

You're still gonna buy the rift pass.
You're still gonna buy their upcoming DLC's.
You're still going to buy cosmetics in the shop.
You're still gonna play the game.
Stay in your lane.
Nope. Not supporting BHVR anymore with my money after this and neither will my group of friends who quit DBD and thought of returning with the new Halloween event, but guess what? It got delayed because of mistakes on BHVR's end.
That was potential for them to make money right there, gone.
That was potential for them to retain older players, gone.
That was potential for free marketing, gone.
I can go on, but I think that should be a good of enough gist.
If you think everyone here voicing their concerns is still going to be buying their upcoming DLCs and rift pass (which plenty of other games are doing as well) then you have no idea how wrong you are. Sure, many will continue to play, but I can assure you with each continued failure from BHVR, they not only lose costumers, but they also lose parts of their community.
Think about this. BHVR continually releases patches with bugs in them. Let's take Stranger Things into consideration here since it is the most recent update. Have you been around any of the Bug Report sections? Frequent unstable DC's, party problems, matchmaking problems, gamebreaking bugs such as not being able to escape exit gate, no wiggle/attempt, no skill checks appearing, etc. Not to mention they haven't even fixed the trophies/achievements (Let alone publicly acknowledge it) that have been bugged since the summer.
Now if THAT gets released, WHAT do YOU think could have caused BHVR to not release the event on time? If they delayed it because of bugs but didn't delay the Stranger Things update even though it came with a ton of bugs/unfixed bugs, what king of bug(s) do you think could have caused this delay?
Now, expecting something in return isn't at all ridiculous. I don't care what it is they do, but something even if it's just something that helps newer players only such as double BP event being longer than usual would be appropriate. Heck, I would think it's not hard for them to tell us on the same day that they last second mentioned a delay for the event when they actually expect it to come out. Even that is enough. But nope, all we get is a 'sorry, it's delayed, no ETA'.
I, like most people here voicing their opinions, understand that mistakes happen. However, when these mistakes are consistently being reproduced instead of their promises being delivered, it isn't excusable any longer.

Remember guys,
"The Hallowed Blight Collection is 25% off for a limited time!"

I would like to see We're Going to Live Forever buffed so that healing others would also give a stack. I can't tell you how many times (red rank here) I've been farmed off hook and downed right after since they didn't have borrowed time because someone had WGLF and wanted some stacks or went for an unhook too early.
