Legion has a number of unnecessary downsides you have to work with. Tbh he/she is probably a mid to low tier killer but as always it’s up for debate. Your strategy sounds solid, I’d say don’t double hit players because you give them a quick speed boost. Additionally, consider running thanatophobia, sloppy butcher, hex ruin, and/or monitor and abuse in your loadout, and what you said you’re running is pretty good too (except maybe not devour hope, but your other 3 perks are good). Save the best for last has some more merit now too since your frenzy attacks no longer down people. There’s actually a good number of perks that can work well for legion. Keep in mind that mending still does not count as a healing action, perks like sloppy butcher are good though because they pair well with thanataphobia and nurses calling, kinda forcing them to waste a lot of time healing or they risk getting downed in one hit by a 115% speed killer. I don’t think you’re playing him bad or wrong, it’s just they aren’t that amazing of a killer, especially if you don’t have solid perks like hex ruin to help you stall for time. Consider watching some “TruTalent” YouTube videos in the last month of him playing legion to see his loadout and how he plays!

DCs are definitely a big issue in the game. It happens on both sides and just ruins the game for everyone, literally. Less bloodpoints, wasted add ons and offerings, game is too easy/hard then, etc. It needs to be fixed pronto because it happens like every other game
-
I gotta agree, I was about to make a post about this. New content is always nice, everyone agrees. But I’d rather have a more enjoyable game and better balanced gameplay and content rather than more stuff, and it’s not even all that different just new killers and survivors. Of course I like it but that certainly isn’t what this game needs right now. We’re still waiting for console optimization, dedicated servers (yes I know they’re planned for summer), Freddy rework, leatheface rework, legion rework (all 3 of these were noted by the devs as being in progress or being discussed), reworked secondary objectives, possibly new game modes, better matchmaking balancing, more bug fixes, etc. And I know I’ve definitly missed more as well.
-
(To you and your teammates). Use borrowed time and the new decisive strike. Don’t be overly altruistic or go for unsafe saves. If the killer camps form a plan to get the unhook or rush through gens. And if the hooked survivor is toxic, or the game is at a late stage, you can expect camping and tunneling to happen. Camping and tunneling can be easily dealt with by using your head and adapting.
-
While I do feel they probably didn’t DC all the way back to level 20, I do agree that DCs need to be dealt with ASAP. It’s happened practically every other game for me for a while and it’s so aggravating to lose/waste my good add ons and offerings, and then the killer gets less bloodpoints and the survivors have less of a chance to win. Game breaking tbh if it keeps up
-
Nah, while I hate camping and tunneling for no reason other than to be toxic, penalizing the killer is wrong. Theres already borrowed time and the new DS, and most survivors cry “camper” for anything the killer does. Don’t do unsafe hooks, and if the killer camps just rush gens or communicate a plan to get the unhook. Camping only works when the survivors waste time to allow it to work.
-
While you’re not wrong that the last survivor is essentially screwed, it has nothing to do with hex ruin. If your whole team is dead and you’ve collectively only gotten 0-1 gens done then you/your team played very poorly and/or the killer was very good. Situations like that should rarely happen but if they do it’s just a loss you’ll have to take. Plus the totem can be cleansed at any time. I do understand the frustration of having bad teammates even if you are playing well, but again it’s just poor luck and doesn’t have to do with ruin. Do what you can to run with a team that’s communicating and you’ll have way more fun!
-
Ah, this is such a tricky topic. Way I see it, camping/tunneling is understandable when there has been about 2 gens done and you aren’t doing so good. You gotta start killing them off at some point, and camping/tunneling can be proven effective. It’ll waste the time of the survivors and sometimes get you another down at no cost if they’re foolish or overly altruistic. The thing is, it’s also pretty easy to counter with either borrowed time, or outright doing gens. And you’ll see that if you play “fair” and dnt camp or tunnel, you’ll lose practically every game unless the survivors are outright bad or noobish. I feel most people have a problem with camping because of 3 reasons. 1, they’re toxic survivors and want points, 2, being camped effectively means you’re done for, and now you probably won’t get much for your time, and 3, it’s just frustrating to deal with (but again, it’s fair when the game isn’t going your way). I honestly bet if they reworked the survivor bloodpoints system, camping wouldn’t be as effective or as “upsetting” because survivors wouldn’t try so hard to go for unsafe saves.
-
That’s a pretty solid response. Definitely a good number of ways to earn points. My issue is that there’s a lot of RNG in there with how the killer plays and how your teammates are, and just a bunch of other things in general. Like even when I play a normal game and I do a variety of things, the points still come out fairly low. And that’s when I was lucky enough to be able to do a lot of tasks. If I get found really early on and like tunneled for example it completely ruins the game. Yes you can argue that time spent is less or that it’s my teammates fault, but I wish they would just add a simple increase to main things in the game that every survivor can benefit from on their own (like I said in a few other comments). Because a lot of survivors now focus more on farming, even at their own risk and teammates risk. I’m not saying it’s bad to go rescue a teammate, I’m saying like when you risk getting found and killed just for points, or try to farm hooks and screw over your team, it really goes against the game concepts I feel and just has a lot of bad potential that could be avoided otherwise.TheLegendDyl4n1 said:I do like 3 gens, get all totems and then if I'm not at full boldness I go in the basement for a while to farm boldness points (considering most killers refuse to be stunned), most of the time I can't get any altruism points because most people have self-care and don't get hooked so I can't save them, and surviving is a given but you only can get 5000 from escaping and that's not where it stops it can go up higher so in order to farm both altruism points and survival points i must heal myself because I get altruism from skill checks and survival from fully healing so I usually can get max but it takes like 20 minutes and most of the time the killer DC's because he just wants me to leave because he is already at max everything because its so simple to get points in their 4 categories because it doesn't require people to help them get those points. what really annoys me is when I am tunneled the entire game then get called trash after because I looped him the entire game and then adrenaline pops on and I run to the exit that's opened for me and so I escape with little to no objective points. I mean it's not my fault the killer didn't go after an easier target and that the ranking system is so bad that I am near rank 15 and can't get lower cause I almost always safety pip and so I go against new-inexperienced killers is that my fault? I enjoy playing survivor but if I want BP I play a killer with BBQ so I usually get 60k BP or more because of how easy I find playing the killer.
-
Like I mentioned in other comments, I know legitimately how to play survivor and I play just fine. 10-15k is pretty normal, maybe 20k if I survive and had a solid game. I’m not amazing, but I’m well aware there’s more than just doing a gen or 2 and getting out ASAP. But there’s nothing I can do to change my play style. I do things like saves and heals when the opportunity arises, just like any other smart/point hungry survivor in my game.TheHourMan said:
If you only got 15k you did not do good. There's more to playing survivor than just getting out alive you know. Gen rushing then running straight out of the exit will net you less points than antagonizing the killer, healing allies and searching chests, even if you die. Take the time to do other things if you want more points. A perfect game gets you 32k points.SiftHeadsDude said:I know this might generate comments such as “git gud” and such haha, but playing as a survivor gets you so much less than a killer. Surviving and doing good nets you like 15k max, dying and doing good about 10k. Doing bad still less. Being a bad killer gets you at least 20k though and it keeps going up if you do good. I feel playing as a survivor is such a chore if you want to get serious bloodpoints, it makes more sense to just spam play the killer. I feel they should increase/add a reward for straight up finishing the game, or split it between completing the game and the struggle phase (to discourage intentional suicides)...thoughts? -
Except it’s not...as a killer I routinely get 25-30k, while survivor I get around 10-15k. It sounds like you’re either bad as a killer, and as a survivor you’re literally god or have rank 1 teammates and verse a rank 20 killer. I’m not amazing as a survivor but I’m certainly not bad nor do I need to improve to get more bloodpoints. I play the game normally and properly, and I take things like offerings and what I do in game into account. So what I said is accurate. And yea of course you always lose add ons but you routinely lose items and add ons as survivor too, either from death, using them up, and/or simply not getting a new one before you leave. And honestly the whole keep/lose item argument is pointless, it really makes no difference at all to what I’m saying.Malakir said:
I haven't for example but just the fact you say killers get double or triple bp compared to survivors it's bsSiftHeadsDude said:
No they don’t, although I’m not opposed to anyone getting more bloodpoints because the grind is insane especially for anyone unfortunate enough to just start playing now. And yea they can maybe like 5% of the time but the rest of the time killers routinely get double if not even triple what a survivor gets in about the same amount of time. Like I mentioned so many times before. Did you even bother to actually read the comments on this thread?Wolf74 said:@SiftHeadsDude said:

If killer is so great and gives so many easy bloodpoints… feel free to play killer.
What is holding you back?
Just do it.

What’s your problem lol? Like seriously cut the toxicity. I do play as a killer, matter of fact I play killer more than survivor. Congratulations I hope you’re happy that you have that info. Now that that’s out of the way, which was completely off topic...feel free to address the issue I presented, where survivors get arguably too low amount of bloodpoints, and I presented ideas to give a small boost that’s both fair and improves gameplay.
Killer need more BPs... Killer are the only player that will play the whole game from start to end, no matter what… Survivor can still gain MORE BPs than the killer IF they are good… so what's your point exactly?
Survivor can just jump into the next game and go on playing and gain more BPs per minute, but of course not if you have to wait for your SWF buddies.
True, when I play killer I get around 50k but when I play survivor most of the time I get more than the killer, especially surviving the trial. Many times I got 23k and the killer less than 20k
Plus I harvest chests getting free stuff and taking them with me while as killer I always lose add ons. I think you might need to improve as survivor if you get 1/3 of a killer BP since it doesn't happen anymore to me. Only when I was new to the game I saw that -

Idk what you’re going on about, but if you actually opted to read what I wrote, you woulda seen that I explained the amount of bloodpoints acquired by the survivors is arguably too low when you take in the amount of time put into the game as well as killer gameplay. And a small increase would both help balance it out, as well as improve overall gamplay.MrMyers said:7 Objectives for 4 survivors, (Gens + Gates) 2 of these objectives which take little time, whilst 12 objectives for 1 killer.
Tell me again, why should survivors get more bloodpoints?

Seems interesting and fun to play as, but I’d say he’s probably one of the weakest. Definitely needs a buff. Sure you can say wait until he comes out to judge but still. His perks are also pretty lacking, except for maybe the generator one. Judging from gameplay as well as other opinions, I’d say the majority also match my viewpoint
-
Interesting idea. Although I feel hatch standoffs can be frustrating, the debate of whether survivors deserve the hatch or not will certainly come back up if it’s changed. I like your concept, but some people will feel it’s unfair to the survivor. And doing gens as the last alive can be even slower and riskier, so it might create a different type of standoff.
-
Thats a solid idea, gotta agree completely
-
Yea I don’t see what most of these ppl are talking about by excessive farming or messing up the game balance. It’s not impossible but I doubt it’d happen because of limited reward, chance, and variety
-
Really? How have they been against it? And yea there’s a tutorial...and your point of asking is?
-
While I do see the possibility of farming, the potential fun of KYF is wasted since everyone wants those bloodpoints, and it shouldn’t be like that.
-
While I get what some people are saying about survivors being able to keep their items, that doesn’t rly happen all that much. Like you’re kinda likely to die, and even if you do survive you might use up your item or fail to find a new one. Plus survivors may lose more things should they die, 4 (item, 2 add ons, offering) while killers would just lose 3 (2 add ons, offering). And like I said above, even if survivors are splitting actions up as a team, everyone is still spending practically the same amount of time in game. And obviously as a survivor you want to survive so you need to take it slow instead of reckless. That’s literally how everything is tailored. It should be better balanced. The difference is big, like 10k vs 30k an average game. Survivors having just some more bloodpoints isn’t going to hurt anyone.
-
I like that. I wasn’t even asking for anything crazy haha, just like an extra 5k in general to better balance it out. And like I had said too if you put that in things like the struggle phase and end game, it can limit other problems like rage quitting and rage suiciding. The only thing to be careful for it to make sure they don’t put the points into things that would make the survivors farm and screw other survivors over, instead of playing the game properly.
-
Why would you want them to lose all their stuff? That makes no sense, they already do lose everything except items, and those are lost if you die tooMaster said:@SiftHeadsDude said:

I got called pay2win trash because I got a 4K as Freddy...lol
-
I get what you mean by the killer is by himself but you’re still putting in work and everyone is also putting in the same amount of time to the game. Most of my survivor games are pretty hectic but I also agree the system could use an overhaul too
-
I was called “pay to win trash” because I killed a guy, last, as Freddy lol
-
I’ve had a good few grab bugs happen in various places. Worst one was at a generator and it froze my character for the entire game because it clipped me into a wall. Other times I would freeze up a short time like you described. Very frustrating and it makes me not want to use grabs even though I should.
-
I agree, rage quitting is a huge pain. It’s tricky to deal with because a punishment can cause players to not play in general, and we don’t want to be hurting the games population. Plus sometimes a player needs to leave a game for whatever reason. But for sure, losing/wasting your add-one and offerings in an unbalanced game is very aggravating. I propose adding in an end game bonus of bloodpoints, maybe like 5k, to encourage players to play/stay the entire game. It may not be a guaranteed success, but I feel its simple to implement and understand, and has potential. There are other ideas I have but they’re more complicated.
-
I was thinking about that the other day, definitely would love to see him as a killer
-
I know there’s offerings and perks to help out but I still feel it’s small. I’m not talking a huge increase, just maybe like 3k for the struggle and 3k for finishing the game. This way its more worth your time to play survivor, and also helps limit the issue of rage quitting and suiciding.
