Not everyone in Russia and other CIS region countries even knows English. English is hardly used in Russia (outside of English classes or talking to English-speaking foreigners) so knowing English is really not a necessity in many Russian regions. You really can't expect everyone to know it. Very often using only Russian means that a person doesn't speak English. It has nothing to do with arrogance. Or especially Stalin. Seriously, what does he have to do with anything today?
Another example is someone like me who is Russian but speaks English. I often get into a lobby with both Russian and non-Russian people. So If I speak English I'm likely to not be understood by other Russians, if I speak Russian I'm likely to not be understood by non-Russians. So I usually only say something common like "gg" or reply in the language I'm spoken to.
Because I often play with various European I often see languages that I don't understand at all or understand only slightly: Polish, German, Spanish. Never had a problem with that. Why does anyone? If I can't understand what someone writes than it probably isn't something adressed to me anyway.
Toxicity-wise Russians are not any worse or better than others. Also as a Russian I face toxicity from Russia haters a lot more often than from other Russians.
The only true problem is the distance to servers and ping. I usually get 80-120 ping which I consider acceptable but there definitely are others with even worse pings. But it also works both ways. I as a survivor get hit through pallets, windows and stuff quite often as well.
So yeah, servers in Russia are a good idea but please stop with Russian hating already.
I'm russian myself, I'm just bad at making sentences in it's language. Still, I am and I don't hate on the russian ethnicity, I just rant on those kind of so called soviet people, and Europeans should not be involved in that.

That is also a problem which is kind of connected to that, because if some russians weren't stuck in the soviet era, they would either speak english and fully belong to the european community, or have their own servers.

They probably tweaked the matchmaking algorithm. Have you been experiencing faster queues?
Yep, I almost find lobbies instantly as a survivor, can't tell as a killer though, but the ping is so awful you can't loop properly.

@FireHazard That's dumb. I thought it would be the in-game timer only that now applies, just like it does for League or CS:GO, but making it that it can still escalate into a permanent game ban, that is stupid. Especially then if they make it that you can get banned for killing yourself on the hook, what if you don't wanna play the game because you've had 5 russian tryhard killers in a row and you just don't wanna play against those? They shouldn't force people to stay. I could go ahead and just "deal with it" if I was living in the NA region, playing on US servers, but living in EU and playing on EU servers makes it harder to mentally withstand it. We got plenty of toxic russians and romanians on both sides, but since killers have been buffed a while ago, I get to face a lot of toxic tryhard killers who are most likely to be from Russia. I'm not trying to be racist, this is just the conclusion I've made because everyone else in Europe, from any other country, isn't as toxic or tries as hard as they do. And yes, I am mostly a solo queue player, or I duo with my gf, but that's it.

I do have the same issue, it all started with getting an error that the connection with the host could not be established. Then I restarted Steam and now it says the EAC client could not be instantiated, great.. time to not get BHVR'd, but get EAC'd this time.

Right, you'd need to DC like 70% of your games to get a softban. So unless you're a known rage quitter you'll be fine.
I don't DC anymore, maybe like once out of 40 games. There really is nothing else you can do, if you don't wanna get banned. But that's why I'm thinking, it is stupid that it even is possible to get permanently banned for disconnecting from the game. You can basically lose all your stuff (like exclusives or legacy) and the only option you'll have is to start from the bottom again. I don't think I would want to do that, but it really does get either annoying or really boring at high ranks, facing the same killers all over again and #########. Maybe region-locked matchmaking shouldn't be a thing anymore, because I really don't like how the people in my county play their killers. Or maybe a casual mode should be brought into the game.

Yeah right, but I think a permanent ban is a little over exaggerated, no matter how many times you DC. I mean come on, in what other game do you really get banned instead of locked out from a match? I don't know any other game.
