  • It isn't really anything spectacular imo tbh. It's okay and can give you a hit sometimes on certain killers but I don't think it's going to be meta or anything. Just an off pick for certain members of the roster. Although I wouldn't ask BHVR to buff it either since it is riding a very fine line between being "okay" and "really strong". If they tweak just one of the numbers too high it could easily break the game.

  • I hope that he shows up in the dead by daylight movie to proudly state "it's tricking time" before he pops his main event and downs Dwight.

I can't hate Trickster, he's just so stupid he ends up becoming endearing to me.

  • Personally I wish BHVR would take the old WGLF and the old BBQ and Chili effects and then put them in the basekit.

Each fresh hook a killer gets gives them a 25% stackable BP bonus after the match.

Each safe unhook a survivor gets gives them a 25% stackable BP bonus after the match.

Or hell even if we didn't want to bring back people fighting for altruism like how it was with old WGLF they could instead tie to generators. Each gen that the survivor team completes gives the entire team a 20% stackable BP bonus.

It would make the grind easier for both sides while imo promoting gameplay. Killers will likely want to spread out hooks more because they want the extra bloodpoints. Survivors will want to save more or with the gen system might want to stay in a match for longer so they can get more bloodpoints from that match.

I'd feel less bad about getting 4 man outed with like 6 hooks as a killer if I got 60k~ or 40k~from that match. I'd feel less bad about a rough match as a survivor if we got 3 gens done and got an extra 60% BP.

  • I consider myself an avid Xenomorph player because I do tend to go on tears with him fairly often. However this is one of the ONLY killers in the game that I need to actively take breaks from because of how awful he can feel.

    1. Crawler mode forces your camera and FOV to be super low to the ground. This makes seeing on certain maps way harder than it has any right to and god forbid you try to walk through grass. It feels bad to have your vision obscured so heavily and it's not like Pig where I can swap between "gremlin mode" and standing up. If I want to use my power, I need to constantly be sniffing the dirt. Doesn't feel good.

    2. Tail hitboxes are weird. They're janky and sometimes just don't function properly. I've seen tail attacks go through people and do nothing, I've seen it hit air and hit survivors, I've smacked an invisible wall countless times and all of this is accompanied by the fact that the attack itself has a delay to compensate for it always being ready. This in and of itself feels bad. Every other mid range killer, I press the attack button, I do the attack. Xeno has to do a wind-up to spear people and that simply just doesn't feel good. It feels janky and cumbersome sometimes and it can cheat you out of hits you would have gotten on the other mid range killers. This doesn't make me feel like the Xenomorph, I feel like an Elden Ring boss with a massive wind up to give people ample time to dodge.

    3. The tail attack itself just isn't as strong as other killers. Sure his ZONING is great, but if you want to use his actual power, the fun part of it being the actual attack, then he just falls flat compared to others. Everything Xenomorph can hit over other killers like Nemesis, Dracula, and Deathslinger also can but those killers also have more range and/or other parts of their kit other than just the tail attack that can help them. The only mid range killer attack that imo is worse than Xeno is Demogorgon and even that's debatable because Demogorgon can break pallets and has a longer range than a tail attack. I could legitimately see an argument for Shred being better than a tail attack.

    4. Turrets are overwhelming. Turning a corner just to have your ears blown out with a lout and proud FSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH from a turret doesn't feel good. Having your entire screen covered in flames blinding you doesn't feel good. Getting knocked out of your power because a turret was placed in a way you just couldn't reach it in time, doesn't feel good. If you're something that has sensory problems turrets ESPECIALLY can be extremely unappealing to play against.

    5. Xenomorph has very little perk/add-on variety. You can't use any m1 perks because you will mainly get tail attacks for your health states. You can't use any stealth perks because turrets constantly give away your location. Most of your add-ons are objectively terrible and aren't worth running. Information perks can be a hit or miss because of how your tunnels spawn. There's not many perks for this killer I'd say are good. Most things just feel "usable".

    6. Xenomorph is a buggy and broken mess. Setting aside tail hitbox shenanigans, there are several times turrets don't get destroyed by an attack, kick you out of crawler mode despite being destroyed, don't deactivate when coming out of a turret, or hit you behind obstacles. While he's nowhere near the level of bugginess that some other members of the roster is, he does have his bugs and they feel particularly punishing since…losing your entire power because a turret wouldn't break is infuriating.

I hope BHVR gives him a lookover sometime in the future, because imo he needs it. I don't even mind his current power at all and if anything I like it despite its problems. But I do wish BHVR could iron out some of the pain points.

  • The actual problem of 4 man slugging until they bleed out? Definite problem. That needs to be addressed.

However, many people start to eat their keyboard/controller in a fit of rage if they're left on the ground for 20 seconds because they went down under a pallet and a killer sees the Meg wearing bright orange with a flashlight very cleverly hiding behind a tree (they are very clearly visible).

There's a big difference between these two things and I can never tell when people are talking about either of them…nor what kind of person they are when they talk about it.

  • You're right, people should just stop running them so they don't benefit those dastardly killer mains.

  • Firsthand experience of the "it's everyone's fault except for my own" mindset right here.

You should really take care of your business before readying up.

  • I would definitely take 3 dashes replacing Lab Photo. Idk about base though.

  • ~ [KILLER IDEA] - The Indoraptor

    Power - Fallen Kingdom

The Indoraptor is the ultimate predator, genetically bred to be the most dangerous animal to ever exist. A perfect blend of the two most dangerous creatures on earth. Its intelligence and sadism is shown through its love of hunting and killing for sport.

    Special Ability: Hunt Mode

Press the special ability button to enter Hunt Mode. Doing so causes the Indoraptor to crawl on all fours, boosting its movement speed to 130% and goes partly invisible, gaining the Undetectable status effect. The Indoraptor cannot attack in this state, however it can pick up survivor's scents by following scent trails left in the environment by survivors. When following a scent trail, gain an increased movement speed of 150%.

    Special Attack: Disembowel

Pressing the special attack button allows the Indoraptor to charge up an attack over the span of 0.75 seconds. Once fully charged the Indoraptor leaps forward at a speed of 14 meters a second, going to a maximum of 12 meters to slash at any survivors in its path. If the Indoraptor collides with a dropped pallet or window, it will vault it and after a short duration, initiate a Disembowel attack again. Survivors hit by a Disembowel are afflicted with Deep Wound. When an injured Survivor is struck by a Disembowel attack, the Indoraptor knocks them to the ground to tear them apart, before automatically carrying them.

This was something I typed up in my spare time a while ago. I just want a dinosaur man.

  • I don't personally get the hate for the bots, most of them are better at running than the actual human players. I just think it's people screeching just to screech.

Complaining about Legion in 2v8 is valid though because he is not okay.

  • @Superyoshiegg said:

Anyone who wants Legacy to return misses the whole point of its existence. This is a very tired debate that the devs have made their stance firmly clear on years ago.

Getting a character to P100 because there's a reward for it is against the point of Legacy.

People played the game and participated in the (massive grind) because they enjoyed the game in its infancy and wanted it to succeed. No one did it for the sake of a cosmetic award, because no such thing existed.

Legacy was a gift to early players who supported the game without any obligation, however cosmetic, to have done so.

And no, the anniversary crowns, and any other event cosmetics given out since, are not comparable. It took 0 effort to get them, and you knew from the start that they were (initially) a time gated reward so you had incentive to grind for them, unlike Legacy.

Nailed it on the head. Legacy shouldn't come back. Being rewarded for being P100? I don't think that's too much to ask. But it shouldn't be legacy.

  • I will agree to this but only if we give multiple killers basekit buffs because some of them need add-ons to feel better/not be horrible and we remove all add-ons for Survivor as well. No more styptics, syringes, or BNPs.

  • I don't personally understand this sentiment. It does suck that it isn't accurate to the character, but I also see it as "It doesn't make her taller, which doesn't put her at a disadvantage, that's a good thing." Not saying it doesn't suck, but I really doubt it's because BHVR "hates Ada Wong".

  • I think the problem is more that a large part of the fanbase is whiny, entitled, and has an overly inflated ego. That goes for both sides and it especially doesn't help when both sides have things that they objectively SHOULD NOT HAVE but do. So when people abuse these things the victories go to their heads, resulting in a sense of entitlement and the ego. Dear lord the ego. I honestly feel like people's ego's are the worst part of dbd, because it goes beyond the game itself and translates into discussion surrounding the game as well. We've all seen people trying to give ideas on how to balance parts of the game and almost every single time there's always someone stroking their own ego by claiming they're "top MMR" or "Im at the top of the leaderboards" or "I literally main x, which this topic covers so you're wrong because I know more than you" etc. As if any of those things somehow invalidate anything when 9 times out of 10, they don't.

It just feeds into the us vs them mentality that the community has. Every time Survivor loses something that's broken and shouldn't be in the game (old Dead Hard, old Mettle of Man, old Made For This etc) people screech and lose their minds while killers basically giggle with glee at their opponents losing their toy, same goes for killers. Every time a Killer perk or a Killer themselves gets nerfed there's always survivor players going "Yay! That was super obnoxious and now I don't have to deal with it anymore!" while Killers mald about losing their toy. But no matter what, both sides just aren't ever satisfied with the balance because "x is toxic, they are mean to me, I want them to lose."

TLDR, the toxicity is a self perpetuated cycle that promotes a lack of empathy because a large part of the community refuses to think rationally and look at the game without a biased point of view.

Pretty low quality, actually. You can tell it's weekend again when these kinds of posts start to emerge

    That was the joke.

  • Excellent b8 m8, I r8 8/8

  • Games devolved and I see people abuse broken nonsense almost every match, so no.

  • Imo, no. There's a limit to what could work within the confines of DbD and something like a killer tire just wouldn't work. If it was something that could reasonably abide by the rules and mechanics of the game sure, but there's a fine line between "This could work" and "This would genuinely take so much effort to make it work it isn't worth the resources". Something like the tire from Rubber would fall into category 2.

  • Not unknown main but I know a few. Aim at their feet and make sure to bounce your ball off surfaces. If they're in your face and there's an object or wall nearby, use it. You can also "prematurely" charge up your power by holding the button down when the CD is almost back.

  • The original Freddy was unironically really good and if he released in the modern day people would scream that he's OP.

Perma invisibility when you're not asleep.
No limit to how often you can put people asleep.
A plethora of broken add-ons that nobody gave enough credit to. Old Class Photo revealing the auras of everyone just for sleeping someone is obnoxiously broken information.
A 50% slowdown on all actions.

  • I would do devious things to have the ability to maul survivors as a dinosaur or dragon. Maybe even something Kaiju inspired. Love a big reptile. They're just objectively the coolest thing ever.

  • He's more interesting than his previous incarnations, but I still want the original kit.

  • I honestly think the main thing that started it was the Flashlight buffer and then when Background Player was hyper buffed. It's super easy to get flashlight/flashbang saves now and I honestly personally believe the buffer change was one of the worst things they've ever added to this game. BGP just makes it worse because now you don't have to position properly for a save, you can be far away and do drive bys with flashbangs. Hooking for killer is already a massive time sink and the fact that for an extended period of time now it's just super risky to do means that people simply don't want to hook. Getting a hook save would be the same thing as a killer kicking a completed gen and then forcing survivors to do it again. It just feels bad.

  • I don't see how having 2 bots will do much because most solo queue players play like them anyways.

Literally how? Because she takes strategy and match awareness? Or because solo teammates suck?, because if that's the case, your problem is not with her but with them.

Already left a very long and detailed answer on that, should be around here somewhere I'm sure you can find it.

  • I feel like part of the reason why slugging is so strong right now is that almost everything killer does takes a decent time sink. In order to score a hook you have go

    >Finish the weapon wipe/power animation
    >Pick them up
    >Walk at a reduced speed to a nearby hook/walk a long distance to make it to a scourge hook to get value
    >Hook them.

That time adds up and its a long time to spend in order to simply get a progress point towards your objective, especially considering that recent events like the anniversary and first 2v8 showed that the time save you get from instantly hooking people via cages or the invitation power is massive and also removes the ability to have a sabo/flashlight play go to set you back. I think a lot of people realized just how much time is saved by simply not hooking. Time is everything as a killer.

  • I agree, DbD is a very unique and wonderful game despite its glaring issues. I've been around since the Beta back when Trapper was called "Chuckles" so I've seen it change a lot over the years along with seeing a lot of people come and go. When I first started playing I was 14 and now I'm 23 on my way towards starting my career and saving up money to move to Australia to be with my gf so we can eventually get married and settle. It's been a huge part of my life and it's something I'm still very passionate about.

I love dbd. I very truly do. It stings to see it in states like it is right now. But I do genuinely hope it continues to be a part of mine and other people's lives.

I promise this is a sincere question asked in good faith - why?

Her power barely does anything anymore, what makes it feel bad to play against?

It's a really complicated question to answer because it's not something that innately has a totally black and white answer like "Oh Huntress feels bad to play against because her hitboxes are questionable". It's a VERY grey area and the answer differs for many people.

Before I try my best to answer that I just wanna say that I want to talk about her power in a vacuum. Separated from the lore/design/controversial release/previous versions of her power etc. Retreading old "this sucked" points doesn't matter for the current version of SM as that was in the past. It's not the current version of her.

The current problems I see in her design are the following

~ Trap based killers have always been hated to be played against. I genuinely cannot remember the last time I encountered a player who said they enjoyed playing against killers like Trapper or Hag. It simply doesn't feel good to try to run to an area only to see the bear trap/phantasm/drone already set up there and going "this loop has the power set up here, this could be risky. I don't want to be here". Many players simply don't like this interaction and others always seem to tolerate it to a degree. But it's always a tolerance, never a distinct love. Ofc there are people out there who do love playing against this type of killer, but they're VERY few and far between.

~ The barrage of status effects. One of the biggest criticisms against SM is how she can bombard you with status effects. Hindered, Haste, Undetectable, Deep Wound, Broken, all status effects that she has in her BASEKIT and that's not factoring in her add-ons which can add worse skill checks, blindness, silent skill checks, oblivious, exhausted, hemorrhage, mangled, and aura reading. That's a literal laundry list of status effects and its a dump of information that can very easily overload someone in a chase.

~ Unintuitive counterplay. Being able to crouch the scan lines isn't exactly super intuitive. With other killers their main power makes more sense to play around. You dodge Wesker's dash or the tentacle for Nemesis, you don't stand in the massive glowing rectangle against pyramid head and don't step in his goo, you go to the funny highlighted box to remove a RBT for pig etc. Something that any new player could easily intuit during their first match against the killer. "Don't let the big scary matrix man get me" "He has a tentacle, I don't want to be touched by it, it's slimy and yucky" "The big glowing rectangle under my feet is probably not a good sign" "I didn't see the boxes until I got a party hat, I'm going to go over to them, oh hey I remove my trap here". SM simply doesn't have that. Not saying she isn't the ONLY killer with this issue, but it's still an issue regardless. Nobody sees the massive glowing cone and thinks "Yup, I can duck under that." The cone doesn't even communicate that it does work like that because you'd have to be standing under the drone to not get hit by the scan line itself. If it was just a horizontal laser? Maybe it would help some of this issue.

~ She's genuinely been changed so much that people don't even know what she does anymore. This isn't a game issue perse, it's 100% a player issue. But most casual players don't boot up the game and stay totally up to date on all the patch notes and what they mean. Sadako has this same issue. People literally just don't know because there was a period of time it felt like she was being changed every other patch.

There's probably more I'm missing but those are the main ones from the top of my head. It should also be worth noting

Just because a killer is weak does not mean that they are not fun to play against.

Release Legion was honestly really bad. Like to the point where many people on the Steam forums (this was before the official BHVR forums if memory serves) said the ONLY thing he could do was moonwalk people. Being a 110 M1 killer was certainly a design choice. Did that make Legion somehow fun to play against? No. Absolutely not. Because being moonwalked to death wasn't fun. You can't use the argument of her being bad as a means to makeup for some of problems (both perceived and actual) as weak or not they still impact the game she is in and that effects the other players.

Also just wanna say the go next epidemic is out of hand and I hope BHVR nukes it soon. SM or not, it's ridiculous.

  • Personally my dream "rework" would be to shift him back to how he was on release and give him the dream pallets he has currently.

  • Because even if she's the worst killer in the game she feels awful to play against.

  • This is one of those terms that literally nobody agrees on in the community. Other common phrases that people still bicker about the definition of is tunneling, slugging, camping, sweaty, genrushing, BMing and many more I am not remembering off the top of my head.

It should also be noted that there's two different kinds of "bully squad", there's the type that maliciously tries to make your match as miserable as possible by holding you in that match for as long as possible, something that harkens back to the days of content creators like Ochido popularizing exploits to ruin the game for others. That to me is a bully squad. A group of people set out to well…bully you. They want to hold you hostage and prevent you from playing the game, all the while BMing and generally being obnoxious. Thankfully this isn't really common anymore as BHVR has patched out a fair amount of stuff that is easily abusable for survivors. There's still some examples such as people forcing specific kinds of grabs at lockers to get easy flashlight saves, but generally those are few and far between and also have a fair amount of counterplay if you're smart and quick on your feet.

Now another type of term (and one I don't see thrown around often anymore but used to be much more common) is a "Death Squad". This is a team that is STACKED and has every advantage in their favor. But they're INCREADIBLY rare. While I did get two yesterday, those were the first two I had seen in literal years. For reference one was a full comp team just tearing apart pubs and the other was a 4 man that involved

    - Two syringes
    - One styptic
    - A BNP
    - A commodious with maxed charges.

3 of them had Unbreakable/DS, ye olde small pp build. Combined with Up The Ante and Slippery Meat, along with 3 luck offerings and an Eyrie offering.

As it is safe to assume, that match was over in under 5 minutes and I lost pretty heavily. Most people saying they encounter "Bully Squads" I assure you are not dealing with matches like that often.

TLDR, It's a term that has virtually no meaning because it's used incorrectly to compensate a bad player or as a catch all term for a slightly sweaty SWF.

  • The legends say if you rub it you get good luck.

  • Never say never. They've been doing a lot more solo survivor chapters lately and it would be a good pick for one imo.

  • "MMR is the worst thing they ever added to the game" the forum post.

Ofc that is also 100% correct. MMR shouldn't exist.

  • Depends on your viewpoint. If I go into a match and someone gives up instantly, then no. I don't care about that match anymore, it is a doomed match and the outcome is already decided. If I go into a match and the MMR decides to throw me against new players for some reason, also no. That's not a match, you pit someone with 4k hours who's played since 2015 against a bunch of new players. That's like beating up your siblings when they were toddlers. It's boring and the only joy you could get out of it is to inflate your own ego.

For me personally I don't even take much joy in 4king to begin with, because the MMR system loves throwing me against people who love stacking ungodly broken nonsense against me when I win several matches back to back. It's like a ticking time bomb of "Well I know a match where I don't get to play is coming up soon." in the back of my mind.

It might just be a symptom of the fact that I've played for so long that I am really apathetic towards a lot of dbd as a whole, but I personally don't see any reason to 4k much anymore. It's a match of dbd and the amount of times I care about the outcome are few and far between.

  • This is just what map offerings should be instead of automatically deciding the map for the people in game.

in some ways, force of echo+sylph feather is dracula's new best add-on's. ideally, a killer's base-kit should not need add-on and add-on should be like an optional base-kit improvement to put spin to their gameplay but i guess it's alright that dracula is add-on dependant as many other killer are add-on dependant. As long as Dracula doesn't receive Chucky-level negative changes, I'm happy with his current state.

I feel like Dracula is a bit different considering that without Hellfire CD addons he just feels really bad and clunky. It's less a matter of strength and more just how he feels. He's still fairly strong and I have over 600 Slyph feathers, so I can easily run one every match. It just sucks that I have to in order to play him in a more fluid way.

  • @albertoplus said:

About stacking both addons, may i ask why not tho? Some months ago its true that trying to stack both of them was bugged and it actually did increase the CD instead of reducing it, but that was fixed and you can stack them nicely now.

Or maybe you mean that its better to use one of them and then just using another addon because you get diminishing returns if you use both?

I can't upload the videos directly but from testing and going over footage the numbers are as follows

JUST Ruby Circlet - 9 seconds.

JUST Sylph Feather at 5 stacks - 8 seconds.

Both together w Sylph Feather at 5 stacks - 7 seconds.

While you can run both if you NEED that 7 second long cooldown back imo having to equip two add-ons to fix his CD isn't worth it as Sylph Feather does most of the heavy lifting and can be supplemented with a better add-on entirely (Magical Ticket, Winged Boots, and Force Of Echo are all solid picks imo).

Ofc it should be worth mentioning that Sylph Feather has to be built towards by breaking pallets and Ruby Circlet is just a permanent boost. So there is more a debate there. I don't typically use add-ons in all honesty, I try them out when a killer is released and if they're changed but for the most part they rot in my inventory so maybe I'm looking at it with a mindset that most people who do use add-ons don't.

It's just something I personally recommend against, I could very much be wrong though. A second can make or break a chase and decide a hit sometimes.

  • Just a friendly bit of info that relates to this topic, don't stack Hellfire CD add-ons if you want to play Dracula with a non-repugnant feeling cooldown for hellfire. Run one or the other.

Part of me gets the feeling that Ruby Circlet is going to be akin to a new combat straps. IE The killer feels so good with it that running it without it just feels abysmal. Sucks that if you really really like Hellfire like me that you need to run an add-on for it, but that's how it is in DbD sometimes.

Still, I'm hoping for a revert next bugfix or maybe midchapter.

Hellfire was far too spammable. It needed a cooldown nerf.

    @ReverseVelocity said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3853396#Comment_3853396

Mainly because Hellfire ignores practically every obstacle in the game, and is very easy to walk people down with since he does not slow down significantly while charging it. He also has a large variety of other tools at his disposal, when a lot of other killers with ranged attacks do not.

Hellfire is far from spam-able even when it had a 7 second cooldown. It has an incredibly long ready time of 0.7 seconds, the longest of any mid-range attack compared to the other killers, he has a fairly decent slow down while he has it channeled to where he loses distance AND eats another hefty slowdown for putting it away to prevent zoning problems that are as awful as something like what Nemesis does. Hellfire is a strong tool, it is. But it has limitations that other powers simply do not.

Hellfire doesn't have the dragging hitbox that Nemesis has with his tentacle, nor can it break pallets/walls. Most of what Hellfire can hit over, so can tentacle strike. Tentacle strike has no cooldown whatsoever. Tentacle Strike can go over small gaps, Hellfire cannot. Tentacle strike has a faster ready time, Nemesis in T3 moves survivor running speed, and a less punishing cancel. This is easily the second best mid range attack in the game imo.

Punishment of the Damned goes through any and ALL obstacles in the game. It can do everything Hellfire can tenfold. While it takes charge out of Rites, there is no innate cooldown to it so it can be fully spammed as long as you aren't holding rites for a really long time. POTD is also wider, has a shorter ready animation, lets Pyramid Head move at 110% while channeling, and has an almost non-existent cancel. This is still the best mid range attack in the game imo. The only limitations POTD has is that it can't go up inclines or stairs (yet in certain instances ignores them and hits people anyways) and that it can't go over gaps. While Hellfire can go up stairs and inclines, it also cannot go over gaps.

Artist has 3 birds that all have the same range as Hellfire, yet remain stationary and effectively completely shut down a loop she places them at. She loses almost no distance for placing or firing them. Outside of the initial bird range where they turn into flocks they also go through every obstacle in the map along with ignoring gaps and have effectively infinite range, meaning Artist can in theory hit you from anywhere in the map. Hellfire can't do any of these things.

I could continue, but I feel like I've made my point. Hellfire is strong but other mid ranged attacks are simply stronger. I would say that Demo's shred is worse and MAYBE Vecna's Flight Of The Damned but overall I genuinely personally believe that other mid range attacks are better. They have been and imo, should stay that way. Hellfire shouldn't be as strong as these other attacks because like you said, he has a variety of other tools in his kit. But when those other tools are

    A. A lackluster Wolf form that fails as a tracking ability and is just a much more limited Wesker dash that is far worse.

    B. A map traversal form where he can't see survivors or auras and only scratch marks.

That paints a pretty grim picture. Because as it stands right now, his kit is

    - A janky, painfully clunky and slow feeling mid range attack that feels bad to use.

    - A mid ranged dash/tracking tool that is painfully lackluster and neglected by most players.

    - A fast moving mobility form that lets him Spirit mode on top of people and score a free M1.

People aren't going to want to use Hellfire OR Wolf Form because they feel bad or are bad. The problem with Dracula was NEVER Hellfire. It's always been Bat form and some add-ons (which again, the Medusa Hair nerf was 100% deserved). So instead of making other forms worse, why not address the actual problem in the room? Being Bat form? This nerf is something I'm against because it incentivizes the easiest and most unfun way to play him. Nobody enjoys him instantly dropping on you and scoring a free hit. You can dodge a Hellfire, you can't dodge him literally appearing on top of you to smack you for a free health state. This nerf pushes people towards this playstyle MORE, which nobody should want.

As far as I know Dracula is still a really good killer despite the CD nerf so while people may have wanted it reverted, there wasn't much warrant for it. It was a pretty spam happy ability to begin with so players should be more skillful when using it while also feeling more rewarding for survivors to dodge it. That or more punishing if it's the killers fault.

He's still good yeah but he just feels clunky and bad. There was literally nothing wrong with Hellfire. It's always been Bat form. It's just an unneeded change.

  • I haven't really seen many people use it since the update launched so take this with a grain of salt but in every match where it DID get use it accomplished literally nothing at best and actively put the survivor team in a worse situation at worst. Shoulder the Burden is all fun and games until you get downed thanks to the exposed and then congrats, your team now has to protect you because you're on death hook.

In a super hyper coordinated team that can all loop pretty well, yeah I could see it being a problem. But that is a super hyper specific use scenario that I honestly don't think those groups would go for as they would likely rather load their perk builds with perks that don't require Seal Team 6 level coms in order to successful pull off to its maximum effectiveness.

TLDR Has the POTENTIAL to be really bad for you as a killer, but 9 times out of 10 won't be.

    1. Freddy. Boring, bland, non-thematic power that was the result from the complete destruction of the original kit which was far more interesting and better. Has a mixture of boring add-ons that are either pitifully weak or so bland that they aren't fun. I really hope the changes they have for him involve mixing his release kit with his current one in order to get the best of both worlds.

      2. Myers. The recent buffs he got made him not completely terrible however he still has problematic add-ons (Tombstone Piece will never be fun to play against) and he still needs help in a lot of areas.

      3. Ghostface. His reveal mechanics feel horrible for both sides and should be adjusted as this is one of the few instances in this game where a mechanic feels uniquely terrible for both sides at the same time in totally and completely different ways.

      4. Sadako. Could use some extra number tweaks. Not inherently super strong but I wouldn't call her innately weak either. She's very middle of the road.

      5. Pig. She's add-on dependent and that really blows but I'd say she's currently in the best state she's ever been in. Completely playable and solid in most pub matches.
  • Agree. Mostly because the change single handily made a bunch of stall perks arguably even worse than they were before. Surge activates whenever you down someone and no matter how much progress a gen has, it counts as a regression event. Eruption counts as TWO regression events (one for the kick, another for the actual explosion from the effect) which for a measly 10% progress (15% if we want to count the initial kick) is outrageously weak. So either those perks need to be buffed to compensate for their worse off states or they should implement the suggested change here.

Oh and please look into Call of Brine and Overcharge, they're so laughably bad it's painful.

  • Imo it should be fixed because I have always seen it as an exploit. The ability to push a button and just not get hit is astounding to me. It doesn't feel good as a killer and it isn't hard to do as a survivor either.
