I am honestly concerned for Background Player going 200% for 5 seconds, but I'd rather see how it works ingame.
-
I play Pyramid Head, I don't fear the tunnels, they should fear me.
-
Ghostface, there's something great about 99'ing survivors during Corrupt Intervention, a great way to have an upper hand in early game, it's enjoyable and I hope to keep learning how to play with him.

How would you know they have nurses calling if you're not running distortion and not in a swf., You're completely ignoring the solo queue side of it. You forget not everyone plays in a damn swf or has to resort to camp and tunnell like the pathetic children who do.
You say calm spirit and distortion are handholding. Yet are crying because they literally counter something THAT CHEATERS PAY FOR. Are you that stupid really? and I said nothing about excessively hide. But if someone has a gen 99% or they're healing a teammate some people might want you to actually have to work for a damn kill rather than just tunnelling like trash and crutching on aura perks.
Cheats are external programs, Perks are not, it's okay to use aura and info perks, if you know how to use wisely, it's not like tunneling is an easy thing to do anyways, considering Off the Record and DS being a thing, you can and will get downed by the killer, the skill of both survivor and killer will determine how worth was the tunnel.

Constantly? If you know the killer has Nurse’s calling, and likes to go back to a hook, then why are you repeatedly healing near the hook?
And imagine talking about handholding, when distortion and calm spirit are the definition of handholding perks. And imagine talking about being expected to put some effort, but thinking it's ok to excessively hide.
Exactly, being aware of what perks the killer might have is essential, if you get downed and killer has nurses calling, get owned, and if you still try to heal again, well, get owned again.
DbD has stealth elements and requires quite some effort for it.

And it's no fun for survivors constatly being tunnelled while a killer is abusing nurses calling after you just got off hook because they can't follow scratch marks from a gen. Visual terror radius has the EXACT same range as the audible one.
As I said in my previous post if your entire build requires that you basically have wallhacks you're not learning the fundamentals of the game and need handholding to carry you through. It might be a casual game but you're still expected to put some effort in rather than what equates to something a cheater would want.
There's no such thing as abuse Nurse's Calling, that's using the perk.

It’s no fun walking around the map, and finding zero survivors, because they are all excessively hiding, and they are dodging all the tracking perks the killer brought to that game.
It’s no fun walking from generator to generator, finding zero survivors, because they are all pre leaving generators when their visual terror radius lights up.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3541275#Comment_3541275
Calm spirit literally stops the survivor from alerting crows.
Finding survivors is not that hard, chasing is the ordeal, if you are having problems with the first, then run Whispers.
-
There's no fun by removing counters, it sounds silly, specially considering Calm Spirit is too situational and while Distortion is quite great but not THAT gamebreaking as people want to try it to sell...
Calm Spirit eliminates the effect of screaming, realistically, this only messes up against Doctor, Ultimate Weapon, Infectious Fright, Face the Darkness and Pain Resonance.
Distortion eliminates the aura reading, which is really powerful, yet, it's very, very variable, first of all, any kind of regen is heavily mitigated by Oblivious or Stealthy, second, some aura reading perks that have little to no cooldown ends up eating tokens, Nurse's Calling and Nowhere to Hide are the perfect example.

I was specifically talking about reactive healing. That perk IS HARD COUNTERED by sloppy (specifically by hemorrage) - because it does NOTHING if killer has the perk, because your progress gets immediatelly deleted. That's a hard counter in my book
Realistically this is an unlikely scenario, yet it's very sad, because it's true, if this happens, you entirely lose progress unless you have medkit or self-care (masochist), this also causes Resurgence to lose some value because afaik healing progress regress during all the unhook animation.

Nobody mentioned lightborn, but when it comes to lightborn its main purpose is to counter an item... items that you can swap out midmatch (not to mention items being essentially 5th perks)
The equivalent would be killers being able to swap out perks midmatch as soon as they detect distortion or CS.
Anyway, nice attempt at a strawman.
Doesn't Lightborn also hard counters Residual Manifest and Flashbang?

Distortion lowers perk diversity, because it counters so many killer perks, that it’s not worth bringing many of those perks. And that is the problem with survivors having counter perks that have massive uptime.
Distortion and Calm spirit shouldn’t have massive uptime. They should both be reworked to be similar to off the record, where their stealth effects are limited to a very specific timeframe.
Calm Spirit is highly situational, Distortion is okay but just that, nothing extraordinary.

How about gain endurance for x seconds based on the recovery progression of the dying survivor

I feel like blaming wonky animation for this, because he hit you at the first moment he swung the mace, I really wish we had killer's PoV.

What does "gone over this" entail? If there had been conclusive experiments conducted that prove that the new vaults had i-frames, please show me. I think it was more so a case of the vacuum-level speeds at which survivors got sucked through the window having messed with the hit registration system, particularly the aim dressing mechanic. Demo's shred hit mechanics are famously wonky, even crouching can regularly make it fail to register the survivor's hitbox. Deathslinger has a very small hitzone, and the player in the clip flicks right a bit at the point of shooting. The harpoon also interacts wonkily with latency, and the survivor here had an Asian nickname. I don't doubt that something about the hitbox could have changed with those vaults, and obviously both of these hits should have connected (if we ignore network issues that may have played a part), but from my experience of playing as and against Huntress, it was still possible to register on the survivor at every point of the vault. If this weren't the case, we would have seen tons of hatchets flying through survivors on vaults. But I haven't seen a single one, personally.
Huntress Hatchess are less to screw because their hitbox are big and they remain more during the animation of the vault, this is just a theory I have, because I missed shreds, slinger shots, but never punishments, whips or hatchets, and my guess is because their hitbox is more constant compared to a shot that is almost immadiate and a shred that is not as fast as a slinger shot but once demo hits a wall the whole hitbox stops, and all my hits were against people with ~40ms
-
You are in a window, you can still be hit.
-
This combo is okay, needs number tweaks and maybe a new condition to make it work.
But it's barely optimal anyways, a lot of wasted time.
-
Wraith is easy enough, I'm fine with having a mechanic that prevents ridiculous movement speed, even if you do it with malice.
-
You could find utility if you are playing very toxic, bring out a flashlight do clicky-clicky, start getting into their nerves, they want to tunnel you after that.

What killer are you going to pick first
Bro straight up asked and expected the same answer as I, didn't you?
-
The good
-Nothing.
The Bad
-Everything.
The Ugly
-The distasteful change they did to Mettle of Man.
-
The game forces to actually play as survivor now, which is good, though I see why it worries you, don't worry, either try to change your gameplay or wait till next balance patch that will probably nerf killers.

Scratch that, I think MoM will trigger when you are in deep wound. Would need to test it.
Mettle of Man will activate because it's not an Endurance effect, despite the game gives the buff.
-
The rules can vary a lot and it's really annoying, waving your arms while hooked can be consideres you're being camped or be free to be picked, dropping your items being the last survivor and being in a chase is a signal for mercy, sometimes just crouching and facing up, it is funny, some Pig likes snoot booping, which I include myself, if the killer moves swiftly their camera and swings his weapon while being carried and you're wiggling, asks to stop wiggling because they're giving you the hatch.

You think a 10% speed buff just because people are playing with friends is balanced?
When I talk about the first part I'm talking about "SWF groups greater than 2 needs to be shown to killer in the lobby.".
-
Honestly Borrowed Time should give endurance to the hooked survivor, Babysitter should give endurance to the unhooker
-
The first part, yes.
All the rest, no.
The only simple and nice solution would be have a link between survivors when they're playing together, just like Overwatch did long time ago when people play together, what is the issue that comes with it, killers would quit at 3 or 4-man squad, and probably BHVR doesn't want the red ranks significantly drop down because not everyone would play against them.
-
Agree, Huntress lullaby is powerful, but it's underwhelming, it needs to build up, and it takes a while, Hex perks are mostly for early game, except for Devour Hope to an extent and No One Escapes Death, doing skillchecks isn't that hard even with delay, either buff to make the silent earlier, or buff to remove the Hex of it and increase tokens to 6 or 7, when every survivor is almost on second hook already.
-
I'm okay with her, actually she reminds me of Wigfrid from Don't Starve.
-
It would be better an option for bleed out slighly faster, rather than killing youself asap, and killer would get a reward for "Lost Hope"

You mean kinda like NOED, Blood Warden, Cruel Limits, Enduring, Fire Up, Lightborn, Mad Grit, Nemesis, Remember Me, Rancor, Tinkerer or Unrelenting? Since if you're going to argue that Decisive Strike, Unbreakable and Dead Hard "erase" survivor mistakes, you could just as easily argue the same thing about anything that activates based on generators being done, being stunned or blinded, or missing an attack as a killer.
The point is, there is nothing wrong at all with second chance perks, or perks that are designed to lessen the penalty of player error. For either side. It's just another way of playing the game.
Also Spirit Fury and Bitter Murmur.
-
Actually I get you, in a lesser level, I paid almost every chapter except Clown, Oni and Doctor ones, always in sale and in Argentine peso, each dollar is 13 argentine peso in steam but currently the actual dollar is +60 argentine peso, which is heavy, console players experience more monetary loss, I got exhausted by rift, I have a whole of free time however, I managed to reach 70 before christmas.
I never bought skins, but the rift has it's issue, it takes a bit to do, specially dark sense challenges, those are the worst.
-
Big agree.

It's too bad for me personally though.
That it does apply constant regression is nice, but now i still don't care much to ever put it on.
I actually run it with Demogorgon, I may explode two or three generators, not only that but regress for 8% like a dumb weird version of pop goes the weasel, however it saves a good chunk of time of hitting the generators, and start running to another one or hooking the downed survivor, if you pair with Surveillance as mentioned before you may put a really nice combo.
-
Surge is fine as it is, however I would not mind a buff like a synergy with Overcharge.
-
The most important one is ranking and devotion has no reward to staying a red ranks, it's just a big middle finger.

The whole Ash kit needs to be revised.

No Mither should not pause Exhaustion, boom, a powerful perk now.
-
Luck either needs to be removed, or having an overhaul.
-
Currently, Demogorgon, starting to rank, currently at rank 8 iirc, since I play more with survivor than killer.
Perks:
Save The Best for Last, Currently one of the biggest perks for Demogorgon, since your alternate attack wont consume youe stacks.
HEX: Ruin, Used to apply pressure in early game, always having the portal ready when it comes.
Mad Grit, Just to keep the body blockers away, works with STBFL!
Iron Maiden, Filler perk, I don't have BBQ, however it proved me usefulness, as when I can travel when they're exposed, sometimes is not enough, but my next plan is going with Agitation.

BK exists though. Streetwise too. Saboteur as well.
Ah yes my favorite perk, Burger King.
(I'm sorry)
Aside from my response, also contributing to the post, I agree on autodidact skill check odds, but also I would like a bit smaller checks.
Fixated also is really interesting, I wont be using it tho.

Not only hatch closing helps ending the hatch standoff, but it's also survivor-sided. You wouldn't believe how many 3Ks I did on Lery's because the fourth slugged survivor picked himself up with adrenaline (because adrenaline surely isn't op), then he outplayed me guessing the right door.
And this is why I hook the last survivor before closing the hatch.

@DepressedClownMain said:
I think these perks would still be pretty bad, mainly Vigil because if a person took a hit exchanging exhaustion would just make you two exhausted and both would have to stop sprinting, which is impossible in a chase.
Yeah, I know the other survivor will still be exhausted, however, having 15 seconds of exhaustion rather than 40 gives more potential to fill up your meter in a safe pallet or while the killer is almost losing sight.
@Waffleyumboy said:
All bad. Other posts have handled these perks much better. Vigil is confusing, wake up is jank, and pharmacy was fine as it was.
Do you have the other posts? I've never seen it before, also, I think Pharmacy is really bad, I know it got indirectly buffed due to medkits changes, however, it is a bad perk, outshined by Inner Strenght, Self Care, and in some scenarios, Second Wind, also this Wake Up at least will make more than it's currently doing, having exhaustion recovered in the last moment can do interesting work, not to mention you actually open the gates 30% faster rather than 15%, which it will help even to fight off Remember Me.
-
I agree that Survival Points Category it's pretty empty, my idea is, Self-healing skillchecks counts as survival rather than altruism, and escaping from killer should be survival, the chased time should still be boldness, however escaping should be survival.
-
I was able to achieve level 70 some weeks ago, I really enjoyed this, however, some challenge were straight bs also, I was forced to play as killer, it was really comfortable, started to play as Demogorgon with save the best for last build, I'm having a good time, now I stopped a bit due to vacations but I cannot stop playing it, and cellphone version is not out yet, I think I'm going to miss the bloodpoint event too, which is sad.

Show us examples, I got curious.

It is not. Devs are just to lazy to prevent multiplying by default.
I still prefer a perk who restores charges by doing x thing and unable to drop it.

I'm up for this!

Imagine a red that adds 1 more pallet to the map lol that would be overpowered
