I love this. it's rare to see a concept this good and balanced from the outset. your wording is a little awkward but for the most part everything checks out to be understandable. There are tiny numbers things you can do to push this to a stronger form but for the most part they're unnecessary imo. excellent work.
Thanks you.
I'm glad things are somewhat understandable haha. Please do tell if something is esspecially awkward grammar/spelling wise, I do want to improve on that deparment.
I do think its important for killers to be as fun to face as to play as.
Stances that changes the properties of the killer seemed like a fun way to make chases a little more interactive.
I love addons that mix up the gameplay of the killers the most. (Scratch mirror Myers/prayer tablet Plauge etc.) so i tried to incorporate those.
Once again, thanks for the feedback.
-
Sounds like the game Hide or Die (the first concept before rework). But it flopped sadly (I really liked it tho').
-
One of my favorite builds is with the addon Prayer Tablet Fragment ( object infection speed doubles, but cant infect survivours directly) together with a infection duration addon.
Use with these perks:
Thanatophobia, slowdown for every injured.
Oppression, regression on mulltiple gens when kicking one. ( good when people dont commit to gens, alternative is ruin, but that isnt reliable half of the time.)
Then you want a terror radious suporessor, i switch it up between these:
Tinkerer, for awareness ans supprice attacks when people are broken on gens.
Hysteria, a little bit meme but procs sometimes for fun results when people become broken.
Trail of torment.
Last perk can be BBQ for extra bp and knowing where to go next. Or surveillance for controll.
Strats: when game starts puke on every gen and keep them infected.
If survivour commit to gens, they be go unhealty FAST, then you hunt them down while undetectable. If someone cleanse, they will be infected again soon as long as the gens gets puked on. And you can down them with curropt purge.
Beware, this strat can end up in hide and seek stalemates and super long games.
Still fun tho' and verry effective.
-
Try this exposed build.
Make your choice, Dragons grip, Call of brine , Scourge hook: Floods of rage.
With tv cooldown addons.
I'm having fun with it.
But yeah condemned feels just like a bonus if you get it off. Most of my games I Ignore it.
-
Maybe it's like a "hatch kobe". 4% chance for hatch to spawn under your feet?
-
A killer with doggos/pets that they can send out to track/ hunt survivors.
-
A couple days ago I had match where I did 3 gens, unhooked 4 survivors. Endgame there were only me and another left alive. I finnish the last gen, 99 the exit gate, unhooks the other survivor and bodyblock to save my teammate but gets downed by noed. My teammate opens the gate that I prepaired and then waits by the exit. The killer hooks me close to the same gate, its my first hook, I have deliverence and DS ready... the moment i get hooked the survivor escapes... if she only waited a second longer... she had already waited the whole time the killer carried me...
I still cant let that game go... I'm ussually such a potato playing survivor but I did so well that game. I will forever hate that Meg x(

Oh no you can get birds on them... Then they repel them before you can take another shot, effectively wasting your time. True cross-maps on Artist do not happen if the survivors have any form of awareness and the closest you'll likely get is just a decently far away hit.
If we talk in theoretics, then sure. But in actual gameplay? It's never going to happen consistently especially because survivors see the auras of crows when they start (unlike, say, Huntress, who does not show the aura of her hatchet flying through the air when she throws).
You would be surprised by how bad the average survivors awareness really are.
Or I guess im just low MMR.
Either way, I do hit those crows consistently and feel awesome doing it. So thats fun gameplay to me.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Strong but boring. Leave a loop, get hit. Stay at a loop, get hit. Everyone says she's a better Pyramid Head but imho she's very similar in power level, but so much more boring to play as and against. She's just dull and yet another anti loop no mobility killer- the first few were okay but they keep adding more and more iterations of the same type of interaction and it's just... Yikes.
Reason why I feel like she's a more boring PH is because PH can hit through walls. In one shot. It makes it a lot more tense and just feels more rewarding to hit. But also, you only have to be watching him and what he's doing, instead of keeping your eyes on 3 crows and the killer, who then has to hit 2 shots that really don't feel rewarding and as survivor it feels like there's nothing you can do.
Also DMS Artist makes me genuinely sad.
Overall balanced doesn't equal healthy fun gameplay and imho Artist provides nothing new or original to the game.
(and her sound design is ######### annoying).
DMS is like DH for Artist haha. Not fun to go against but to broken not to use.
Btw, what other killer can you snipe survivors cross map, through walls while mid chase with another one? I Feel thats pretty unique. Never seen a PH do that.
-
Use Monitor and Abuse with Whisper. When whispers proc, crouch. Never go straight for gens but go around and approach from a "outer wall". Never look directly at gen in case of spine chill. Get that early grab, place a trap and hope RNG is with you. You can use BBQ to maybe get another gen grab or to stealthy ambush the one going for the unhook.
But my greatest tip, Have fun , try new stuff and dont think to much about the 4k.
-
Im having fun, mainly playing the Artist right now, and consistently getting 4ks with and without sweat. Im having more problems with the occational god-tier soloQ looper than with the over alturistic SWFs.
-
I'd say She's S-tier against the average survivor.
Super fun to play as on any map as long as you have map knowledge and can predict survivor movements.
Fun to down ambitious gen jockeys while in mid chase across the map.
-
I Agree. Super dissapointed :(

She's...almost perfect. Not quite strong enough to rival the S tier monsters, but not too far off. Addons are a bit bleh, especially her Iris.
I play a lot on her and her skillcap is nearly infinite.
I only use her brown addons Thick Tar and Oil paint. Dont know how many locker grabs and final survivors I have found thanks to a random killer instinct proc.
-
@Labrac said:
I had a blast with her during the first 10 days after her release because people didn't really know her counterplay. Now everybody knows how telegraphed the long range crows are so good luck getting health states from afar. At close range she has the same problem of PH where zoning and M1ing is easier and gets you way more hits than actually using the power.
I actually still hit and damage with my cross map crows consistently, And the birds are like free aura reading even if you dont damage. Wich is great for planning your next move.

Exactly, I hated her from the moment I bought her. Sorry Op, but she is the only killer that I hate playing as and against.
We all got different taste ^^
A killer trial function wouldn't be a bad idea actually :)

*updated with full chapter.

Killer Main, and I'm still having fun.
Play around 1-4 games when I have time.
Games vary from winning big/losing big.
You can often tell what kind of game it's gonna be in the first minute or two.
If I know its a losing game, then I try to focus on the smaller "wins" instead, like downing a god looper or just pulling of a cool mindgame. Just trying to better my game. Sometimes those "relaxed" games end up with a 4 hook 4k. xD
But I'm having the most fun with the end game "close call" kind of matches.

I thought I would make a FNAF chapter that has Baby as the killer instead of Springtrap as Springtrap just seems so obvious and when people think of FNAF chapter they instantly think of having Springtrap. But I’m gonna make one with Baby instead as I think Baby is better than Springtrap.
Killer: The Baby (Or The Circus Baby)
Height: Tall and quite big (a bit like nemesis) Apparently Baby is 7 foot 2 😳
Weapon: Microphone and The Scooper
Voicelines:
‘Why didn’t you trust me?’, ‘I thought you loved me’, ‘The Scooper only hurts for a moment’, ‘I’m always aware of how many people are in the room’, ‘I can inflate balloons, right at my fingertips’, ‘I can make ice cream’ - These are some lines Baby says in FNAF SL and I thought it would be great for her to have some lines in game.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/UIV1BJBCKQOR/b39c2677-f391-4f69-b908-40ee267101cd.png
Backstory: (this is a quick explanation of what happened to Elizabeth. I don’t know if everything is correct but it’s what I could sort of remember from the lore, there is a lot more that happens in the lore with Elizabeth’s family so I recommend looking into it more as it’s really good. FNAF IS NOT JUST FOR KIDS, THE STORY IS SO DEEP)
They we’re a happy family once. It was her father (William), her mother, her two brothers (Michael and Evan) and herself (Elizabeth). Her father had just opened up a Pizzeria with 3 animatronics: Fredbear, Bonnie and Chica. Fredbears Pizzeria was always popular for kids birthday parties which resulted in lots of income. They soon turned into a wealthy family. It became too much for William and he started getting stressed and then his abusive side kicked in. He had made a Spring Bonnie costume. He went over to some children at the next birthday party and told them to follow him into the back room for a surprise. He murdered them… he stuffed each child into the animatronics to hide the evidence. He loved the thrill of it so much that he made a new animatronic called The Circus Baby. He made her to attract more kids. He gave her special abilities like making ice cream in her stomach that she would hand out to kids, she could inflate balloons at her fingertips! She was what the kids were always on about. But something was odd with Circus Baby. She would always count the amount of people in the room, always aware. There were 4, there were 3, there were 2 and then there was 1. When there was 1, Circus Baby always changed. She didn’t know why, but her stomach would always open and she would grab the child and stuff them inside of her. Then when all the kids came running in screaming of joy, the screams of terror from the child inside Circus Baby would be overrun by all the children laughing. William never let Elizabeth up to Circus Baby as he knew exactly what she was capable of, but one day Elizabeth left her dads sight and went to Circus Baby on her own. ‘Daddy doesn’t know I’m here, sshh don’t tell him’ was what she said to Circus Baby, ‘I think you’re amazing’, ‘I don’t know why daddy won’t let me see you’. Then, all of a sudden Circus Baby’s stomach opened wide and grabbed Elizabeth and crushed her inside. When William found out his daughter died in the hands of his creation, he got rid of Circus Baby so that it could not happen to any more children again. Elizabeths soul possessed Circus Baby. Elizabeth was now Circus Baby and now she wanted her revenge.
Her power includes BidyBabs who are always by her side, The Scooper that shoots from outside her stomach and Always Aware as she is always aware of how many people are in the room with her.
BidyBabs:
Baby comes with two BidyBabs by her side that follow her around.
Hold L2 for 2 seconds to get ready to release one Bidybab that will charge towards at a survivor at 150% speed.
BidyBabs will have auto aim, but because of the speed BidyBabs would run, it wouldn’t have great turning skills.
When BidyBabs hits a survivor, it will grab hold of the survivor (similar to Victor) and will damage them a health state.
Survivors can struggle to get BidyBabs off and when they do, The Circus Baby will have to pick BidyBabs up from the floor to use it again. Hitting a survivor with the second BidyBabs whilst the survivor already has one BidyBabs on them will cause them to go into the dying state. Both BidyBabs will come back to you if the survivor did not throw the first BidyBabs off.
Bidybabs can down an injured survivor, but the Circus Baby will have to pick it back up again from where the survivor was downed.
Bidybabs has a maximum range of 16 metres.
Always Aware:
Baby always counts the amount of people in the area.
When 2 or more survivors are within 12 metres of eachother, their auras are revealed to you. But only if you are within 24 metres of them.
Scooper:
When The Circus Baby encounters a survivor that is alone (not within 12 metres of another survivor), she can use her Scooper which has a range of 6 metres and can be used over pallets and windows. (The scooper shoots out of her stomach, the survivor will know if The Circus Baby can use her scooper as her stomach will be slightly open). The scooper will injure and down survivors. Downing a survivor with the scooper will knock them out for 15 seconds, meaning that they cannot crawl and cannot attempt to wiggle when on the killers shoulder.
Perks: Childish Behaviour, Scourge Hook: Target Located, Hex: Good Is Now Evil
Childish Behaviour
When the Exit Gates are open, Childish Screams activate.
Every survivor becomes oblivious for the rest of the trial and become exposed when in the Exit Gate area, the survivors will not be aware of this. Downing a survivor in the exit gate area will result in the entity blocking the survivor from crawling out for 5/10/15 seconds.
Scourge Hook: Target Located
At the start of the trial, 4 random hooks will turn into Scourge Hooks.
When placing the a survivor onto a Scourge Hook, the last survivor that was placed onto a Scourge Hook will be exposed for 30/35/40 seconds and their aura will be revealed for 3 seconds.
Hex: Good Is Now Evil
Whilst the Hex totem is standing, any Boon Totems created by survivors will have no effect whatsoever. Once cleansed, any Boon totems standing will be destroyed along with the totem carrying the blessing.
Hex: Good Is Now Evil cannot be blessed into a Boon Totem.
Once destroyed, the killer can rekindle Hex: Good Is Now Evil one time. The Killer can also rekindle any destroyed dull totems one time aswell to turn them into their standing position, survivors can then bless them again into Boons.
Everytime I see a FNAF concept it’s always about Springtrap, so I thought I’d make one for Baby. In FNAF, Baby is 7 foot 2 so it shouldn’t be hard to implement her into the game.
Personally I am not a fan of FnaF aesthetically. But then again, I think twin's "Charlotte" character design is super bland and terrible, but I still play her from time to time…(victor is dope tho)
So I will give my thoughts about the killer's powers and perks anyway.
What happens if a survivor throws off the Bidybabs in the corner of the map? Must the killer walk over there and pick them up to use them again. (Thinking on how kidnapping victor is a popular thing to do)
Scooper sounds like an insta down nemesis m2 which sounds kinda OP and unfun for survivors.
Is "always aware "a passive or a perk? Feels to powerful as a passive and I feel it's to similar to "nurse's calling" if it's a perk.
Childish behaviour.
Love it just for punishing exit gate teabaggers or bodyblockers. The oblivious part feels unnecessary tho.
Scourge Hook: Target Located
Like this one, like a one person BBQ. But I would change: "the last survivor that was placed onto a Scourge Hook" part with something like " the survivor furthest/closest to the scourge hook." Because sometimes you can only get 1 scourge hook per game and in that case this perk would be useless.
Hex: Good Is Now Evil
Like the anti-boon part. But we already got Hex:undying for the hex "second chance" and Hex: pentimento for raising cleansed totems. So I think those effects are too much.
Just my thoughts.

Aah right.
So, if 4 generators were at 75% progression. You can use Double Edge on one generator to complete it, then the other 3 generators will lose 25% of their progression. (75% divided by 3 = 25%) So then the other 3 generators will have an extra 25% to repair again.
Kinda, but theres no actuall regression per say.
More like, If no generators have any progression and the killer use Double Edge on one. Three random generators need to be repaired 133% to be completed.

Why would a killer ever use Double Edge? They're both completing a generator, which they dont want to happen, and granting progress to the other generators, which they also don't want to happen. This perk has 0 upsides.
Thank you for pointing this out.
Its supposed to mean that it will take longer to complete 3 random gens, the time added is the repair time needed. It will not give progression.
Will try to rephrase it.

I think this is a great concept.
Just maybe rethink about Double Edge as this perk grants survivors a complete generator and adds progression onto other generators (with the way you have worded it anyway). I think I know what you was trying to say but I do understand why there is confusion. Did you mean to say that Double Edge gets rid of all progression on a generator and adds remaining progression onto 3 other generators? Either way, I still think this helps survivors more tbh as it means they can all split up onto different generators and then you cannot defend all at once. So I do think this perk needs some tweaking.
I would love to see a Survivor with some survivor perks to make this a full chapter! 😁
Thank you so much for the feedback <3
It's the latter.
Example:
4 gens need to be repaired for 15 seconds to be completed. the killer uses dubble edge on one of them. Now the three remaning gens needs to be repaired for 20 seconds.
Can be used to create an empowered 3gen or simply remove a gen thats placed at an disadvantagous location for the killer.
A perk with high risk high reward perk hence the name. :)

The game was fun before the meta became so firmly entrenched that every single round had to be as sweaty as possible.
Theres nothing more satisfying then when you get offbeat perk builds to work.
would've been fun to see how the gameplay would change if they turned off all meta perks on both sides for a week.

I like the difficulty of it. I do play both sides, but with killer the role can be much more challenging.
The only complaint is playing killer had been, for some time, like playing the good guy. It feels like the person who was beaten and left for dead is going back for revenge against a group of bandits, Clint Eastwood-style. I'd prefer it to feel like the role it's meant to be.
Haha ,When i come across toxic survivours I usually picture them as gremlins.
Nothing more satisfying than a microwaved gremlin.
Just like I imagine the potato I give hatch as Gizmo. xD

I'm a horror addict, and I've honestly always identified more with the killers in movies like that. I'm always cheering for the bad guys to win. Chucky and Michael were my heroes as a kid.
LOVE Chucky, I have a Childs play marathon every halloween. Would love to see him in the game someday.

I see those matches as darksouls boss fights.
If I win them it feels so rewarding. If I get stomped and the match ended as soon as I got in. Then I got time for another one.
Hopefully it goes better that time.

You could be bullied in the chat for "not giving the hatch".
Also that can encourage more toxic behaviour. Like killer carrying survivor across the map just to drop and close hatch right in front of him. Survivor won't wiggle waiting for mercy... until it's too late. Or survivor wiggling away right before they get "Mercy hatch" so killer don't get any points.
In my opinion it's better to:
Let them present killer an offering for letting to open the gate.
If offering is accepted and survivor don't try to teabag or take the offered item back - they escape.
Else... else :)
Edit: typo.
Those who bully in chat are the kind of people who didnt deserve mercy hatch in the first place.
If surviouvors wiggle they are still playing and dosent acknowledge the killer has won and its anyones game.
Toxic players are gonna be toxic. But those who are standing on the edge of hatch or kill, this could be the push to give hatch for a better "feel" post game for both parties.

This change implies that Killers aren't the sportsmen in dbd. Survivors are the ones that constantly grief and are 'unsportsmanlike'.
Obviously this is talking about the majority, there are always exceptions.
See it as a tool to reward those survivours that aren't unsportsmanlike without just "giving them the win"
You still have the option too hook/mori.
-
@RoaderFrost said:
Good idea, but not needed.
As survivor, sometimes I'm last to survive, after trying to find the hatch and failing... well, I'm left with little time for gate rush attempt. Then it's 50/50. If Killer is fast and I don't have time to open, I usually drop my item (if any) and crouch. That leaves killer to decide what to do next...
As killer, if someone DC early, last player usually spared (unless clicky-clicky) and carried to the hatch. Sometimes it's pointless to hook the survivor once gens are down and their 3 teammates ready to escape. So the game is lost, any unfortunate dude gets downed and carried into the gate ("You kids get off my lawn!").
Whole idea of Mercy is not gaining points, but GIVING them away.
I belive the sybolic action of actually "giving the hatch" gives a better vibe. And I think giving a reward to players that give mercy would make players do it more often.
Many players "play to win" and want that reward for "winning" and would therefore opt out of giving the hatch for the loss of BP.
Its more a mechanic to "force good manners" to those who usually doesnt and would overall give a game known for a "we and them" community take a step into a friendlier direction.
-

Why not but I would add there it counts as a win for the Killer (MMR points gain) so you are not "punished" and it would increase the motivation to do it too I think.

No, I usualy give hatch just to gain less MMR...
You could just drop them the regular way if you want to do that.
Mercy hatch would be an active "press E above hatch while carrying surv"
Its for those who still want to battle it out with the last survivour for the win. But still let them escape for a gg.
