Greed pallets, after vaulting a window hug the windows for a few seconds so he teleports to the opposite side and make sure you get those EMPs
-
Judging by the ending and that next chapter is original yes i think its safe to say that Mr stone is the the next killer. With possibly either sam or Madi as the survivor
-
He's perfectly fine honestly. The only issue is double hitting on unhooks take that out and he'll be fine

Neither are you. You just can't see the survivors.
Im half deaf so my ears make it a skill issue

this change will come in a minor patch later.
oooh neat :)

He definitely needs some tweaks but literally every killer bar blight nurse and spirit struggle with swfs. Its just a fact of the game at this point.
Also he's been out for less than 24 hours give it time.
-
Think of it this way. The entity is know to nerf and weaken killers who entire its realm Vecna for example is extremely powerful but was branded by the entity to weaken him
The entity probably does the same thing to Alucard and Trevor and many other survivors who have supernatural/superhuman abilities

As someone whos half deaf using his batform is honestly not worth it half the time
-
Healthy for killer absolutely awful for solo que
-
Very strong killer with check spots and easy to use power.
Thats why. Chuky is honestly kinda silly with how good he is and little effort you need to put into him
-
Strength wise they're okay. Sadly xenomorphs tail is far to basic for it to be interesting. I wish it was more like nemesis where you had to ready the tail before using it and when you did you could curve up and over obstacles or around corners.
The tunnels are pretty cool but due to the fixed positions theyre sometimes not worth going for

You could run Whispers, Spies, or any other number of perks that detect immersed survivors. The response to survivors who face uncomfortable playstyle is always to “run X perk.” Apply that to your killer games as well. 🤷🏽♀️
Except Theres already been many things implemented to help against unfun killer playstyles. No such thing for killers in a long long time

In my experience the worst players are the ones who tbagg.
I never go out of my way to bm unless the other player started it

There's tons of loops which he can't do anything at with his power, sometimes because the survivor won't let you, other times just in general.
Which loops? I havent encountered any loop that unknowns power cant be used on
-
Unknown is very strong and very fun. I have a blast playing them. I think you're problem is simply to do with your experience with them and possibly your build
-
Not to mention just how awful batform is for hard of hearing poeple such as myself. I still dont get why you cant see survivors in a form that doesnt allow you to damage people

Xeno the most disappointing?
Don't take that title away from Freddy, it's all he got left ;)
Okay i forgot about freddy because NO ONE PLAYS HIM. you're completely right

"If its not broken dont fix it"
A lesson BHVR has never learned. This UI is just over complicated rubbish another unnecessary change no one asked for.
Why they're working On awful UI changes like this instead of fixing genuine issues is just beyond ridiculous.
-
Blast mine im usually chill or at least i try to be but my god does blast mine make me mad that perk is my arch enemy.
The joker to my batman.
The brethren moons to my Isaac Clarke
The early nights sleep to my dbd player.
You get the point
-
To me this twins change has just proves that internal testing is either very minimal or none existent, because if they just played one single match with twins internally they would've realised just how unbelievably broken she is.
Honestly everything in this ptb is pretty bad, perk changes are okay at best. Really disappointing.

Oh right i forgot about that. At least it'll be an option 😭🤣

Oni and singularity for sure, i really enjoy them but sadly i dont see them very often at all

Agreed i love the teleport but it would've been so much more interesting if it could alternate between an fast undetectable crawling mode and the dangerous projectile mode.

Just touch the hooked survivor it immediately despawns the guard

Electric cable tapped to the balls

The last two freddy mains are livid right now.
-
Im half deaf some removing scratch marks really nerfs me as i got very good at following them but now i have to try and follow blood....something im not very good at
-
I still suspect she'll be boring to play as and against. Her power design is just fundamentally flawed.
But who knows.....maybe this will make her great

I agree that more often than not I bump into a random obstacle that feels like it was designed to screw billy over, I still enjoy playing him but I get your point
Indeed. Just makes him feel really unfun at times especially when you would've got a down if not for a random tire or plank....thats if they also dont crouch tech which is a different matter entirely
-
I can be. Especially from the survivor side from my experience. I've had the nicest dbd players ever and then some of the most abhorrent grossest degenerates ive ever had the displeasure of playing with. But sadly thats the nature of a pvp game, some people live and laugh at making others upset and dbd allows you to do just that relatively easily.
-
Xeno is sadly a killer that will probably never be touched again due to their kill rate being quite high. They're a noob stomper and can feel very oppressive in chase. On the other hand theyre quite possibly one of the most clunky killers released in recent memory their tail is rather lame, its hit box (for some reason) isnt connected to the actual animation of the tail and its simply just unoriginal. Thank you BHVR for another anti loop killer :).
Salt aside i do believe that xeno needs either a tail attack Overhaul (perhaps they can Make it curve around corners or over object to give it more skill expression) or perhaps give the xenomorph an agility based part of her kit. Something akin to a scamper from chuck but far less powerful.
Either way xenomorph to me just represents the poor design philosophy of anti loop killers and the lack of imagination the devs have for a killers chase power.
Anyway what were we on about?
-
Wish i could (insert something here) to you as a reward for constantly making these

Recently i had an interesting conversation with a former DBD streamer (Demogorgon main, Survivor main) and we had a long talk why he left the game. It basically came down to the following statement, and i realised it is completly true:
"Since Blight release in September 2020, so over 3 years ago, the killer design became worse and worse, with almost no exception."
Lets take a look at the roster:
Twins: Nobody plays the twins, and almost everybody hates them. The gameplay revolves around slugging and camping, usually something a killer wont enjoy, neither do survivors. Desperatly needs a rework.
Trickster: Extremly hated and not played much either. An extremly one-dimensional little counterplay chase killer. Not much thought into this one. The rework made him not better, for neither side.
Nemsis: Not loved either. For many a boring loose/loose killer. Very uninspired power. His wip is still buged in many ways (for example crouch tech).
Pinhead: Probably more in the okay category, they added some stuff that makes this killer a little bit interesting. Overall still a strange fella, that has little chance against strong groups but easy wins versus solo players.
Artist: Arguably one of the dumbest killers ever released. The beginning of the "leave the loop or get hit" killers. Very bad design overall. And also not many who enjoy this killer.
Onryo: The pub stomper. Cool license but overall a power weaker players can not handle well. Not bad for me personally but i can see why people dont like her. Overall an interesting concept, but wasted potential.
Dredge: Poor Dredge. Sounds so good on paper, but this killer plays.. how do i say this.. clumsy? Not to bad tho, but it could have been so much better. At leasted they nailed the "spooky" aspect.
Wesker: The radiant star and the only really great killer BHVR designed in over 3 years. Sure, not everybody loves him, but in terms of chase, he is the by far most interesting and most fair killer to play against since a long time. And he is super fun to play, easy to learn, hard to master. Everything i could wish for good killer design.
The Knight: L o L.
Skull Merchant: DC DC DC DC. Rework made a terrible designed killer even worse. How is this even possible?
Singularity: Overall interesting and fine. Cool design, but so much effort for the little you get back as killer. Yet, another survivor defense killer. I dont hate him, not at all, but still most downs feel way to RNG based and cheap.
Alien: Loose/loose killer. Nobody wants that really.
Chucky: Great potential, but so far we are miles away from a great killer. Most dont like Chucky because he is in most situations unfair. Many killer complain they dont like the power CD. Understandable somewhat.
Most killers i named have one thing in common: Little to no chase interaction. Looping/Unique pathing is often not possible and it is more effective to just brainless drop the pallet, run away and hope Capitno RNG is in your favour.
I want to see good killer design and less failed experiements. I beg for more killers that fullfill the golden standard. Powerful, but fair. In case you wonder: Billy, Blight, Wesker, Demogorgon, Huntress and Bubba are great examples. They are strong, potentially stronger then most unfun killers and still loved. Why cant we have more of them instead gettign flooded with crap?
The opposite of this golden standard are the recent ones i named: Artist, Knight, Alien, Skull Merchant for example. Stop pumping out more and more of those and find your way back to the roots. I beg you.
The knight part killed me lol. Amazing visual and sound design but one of the most awfully executed concepts in the game. Only reason he's not at the bottom of the barrel is because skull merchant came out 3 months later

This is my take, allow me to explain my thoughts!
Nurse - She's been untouched for 7 and a half years now, come on BHVR. She'll always be broken as long as her Blink can go through walls
Myers - Outdated and awful to play as against good Survivors, needs a new kit
Freddy - Most boring Killer by far, also awful and unfaithful to the franchise, needs a new kit
Clown - Obnoxious to play against and weak
Sadako - She either kills everyone in 5 minutes or is held hostage by the Survivors
Trapper - I think he'll be fine with some solid buffs, he doesn't need a rework IMO
Billy - Overheat should be removed
Legion - They need to remove the mending aspect from their kit a different status effect that doesn't take up eons to get rid of
Ghostface - Reveal mechanic is broken, Survivors should get punished in some way for revealing IMO like a 10 second mark or something
Pyramid Head - Needs a full add-on pass
Blight - Add-ons are atrociously strong and need to be nerfed, base kit could use some nerfs too
Trickster - They need to look at the "buff" again because he's somehow worse than before
Artist - Birds need a maximum range, how is she able to injure people, chase and force people off gens from Narnia?
Xenomorph - He should not be able to enter tunnels at the start of the game, needs a cooldown like Sadako's TVs
What are your opinions?
Basekit blight is fine nerfing his baskit would probably only make weak blights weaker and not effect stronger blights

Personally i think a Scorpios rex would fit better than an Indoraptor.

its not about dredge
They're drawing comparison every time a strong killer releases people complain. My top tips for you are to go into a private lobby with either a friend or a good xeno player and learn their counterplay. Trust me its there and its possible.
-
Best thing at least in my opinion would be to increase the punishment on a missed tail attack and increase the reward for hitting landing an attack.
Furthermore make turrets a tad stronger or nerf kanes helmet.

If you are baby Xeno, yes turrets will hurt you. But after 10 - 15 matches, you will learn how to destroy them without losing power.
And turrets can not be placed everywhere, especially in indoor maps they are terrible bad.
So i can take killer's power with very garbage and counterable item. But my cost is very op killer power? This does not look like fair. This killer need to be nerfed or item need to be buffed.
Countering xeno takes time to learn shes by nature an anti loop killer so running her like an ordinary m1 is going to get you downed constantly. When i vs her i usually do a few things .
- Place turrets in hard to spot location e.i begind the station if possible or on a high ground such a hills or balconys if the map has any.
- Avoid loops with long lines of sigh e.i jungle gyms and long walls especially long walls. But if need be make sure you turn corners sharply and make movement harder to predict.
- Dont over duck. Most of the time i see survivors trying to duck my tail and almost always i end up hitting them anyway only duck when close to a wall and when the xenomorph is on the opposite side of said wall.
- If you manage to predrop a pallet stay out of the xenomorphs line of sight and try not to fall for the tail double back mindgame where they shoot over the pallet and hit you as you attempt to counter their double back.
- Remember this is a strong killer and your goal as survivor is never to win a chase but to waste as much time as possible going down is part of the game and losing isn't a bad thing treat every match as a learning experience and you'll enjoy this killer alot more.
Hope these tips helps anti loop killers are imo the most interesting of killers to play against. Too often does dbd result in run around the pallet, drop, mindgame abit, repeat. Anti loop killers force me to play in a way that makes me think out side of the box and try new techniques.
-
I love hux but sadly he's abit inconsistent.
He can go from one of the best killers in chase to a very underwhelming flop depending on map and survivors brain juice these factors for me at least make him fun but honestly not worth the trouble.
