I'm sorry to say, but the game is not THAT unstable, or the forums would be aflame with people screaming about crashes.

They do happen, but if it's THAT bad, it's on your end. If you're still trying to play public matches after crashing THAT MUCH, you're now selfishly ruining the game for everyone else in the matches you're crashing in.

Why not ask h ow to find your crash reports (unless you know how already) and post them in bug reports, and wait for helpful replies? because, at this point, you're being selfish to keep playing, and keep crashing. Other people are in those games and are getting shafted when you crash.

No sense in getting rude. Just because I try to see if it works doesn't mean I am selfishly ruining the game for everyone else.

There's actually pretty much no way for a server to recognize the difference, and the Devs have stated this before as well.

You're saying it ruins gameplay for YOU but your DCs ruined gameplay for your team. You should have stable internet, and if not you're risking ruining your team's experience.

iNTERNET HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ENGINES STABILITY. My internet is perfectly fine. There is NOTHING wrong with my internet.

Some people aren't made of money. They can't just get better internet or a better provider.

Internet has nothing to do with the stability of the engine just a heads up. The crashes need to be fixed because it's annoying. I've sent all my crash reports and just a heads up as to how many times my game has crashed, more than enough. It's not my fault that the game is crashing so why should I get punished? This needs to be solved! It's not fair!

  • I should mention I am getting crash reports, so I'm not doing it on purpose obvs. That's A. Why my gameplay is ruined and B. Why I stated it wasn't my fault the game crashed.

And that's their team's fault? Their team deserves to play a 3 man game because of that? Their team gets punished? A 3v1 is almost certain death, AND it cucks the killer because he might end up only getting 2 kills and the 3rd person gets hatch. It's happened to me plenty of time and it ends up in a safety pip or depip all because somebody can't get a stable connection. The responsibility lies upon one person in this situation. The DCer.

Again I stated I crashed and it wasn't my fault read it fully before you throw some hate man

kEYS ARE ITEMS YOU CAN COUNTER THEM WITH PERKS AND BY DEALING WITH THE PERSON WHO HAS THE KEY IT IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM AN OFFERING. PLEASE DO NOT USE THAT COMPARISON BECAUSE THERE IS LITTLE TO NO COUNTER TO MORI'S.

I play red rank killer and red rank survivor. I can tell you firsthand that the changes are balanced. survivor only players don't understand how favored some maps are for them.

the devs have nerfed the extremely survivor sided maps... or the relatively balanced maps with a couple exploitable window loops. trust me from someone who plays both sides they're making the right move.

I've been both red ranked survivor and killer. Maps are favored but that doesn't mean make them empty. Period. It's unfair and chases won't last long, the way this game is set up is for chases to last while survivors do gens. You can't hide and get things done. The killer's goal is to patrol gens correct? All he has to do is go back and fourth between gens and mark which ones are being worked on consistently. If survivors didn't loop there'd be rarely any gens getting done. I do believe that some pallets should be removed, don't get me wrong, however I don't think maps should be as empty as they're making them is all. Again I have ZERO issues with them removing pallets and making some pallets go poof, however I hope the maps aren't as empty as they were in the PTB.

It's fine, just play immersed against the roster of stealth killers, any high mobility killer, or any killer running some of the super strong tracking perks.

IKR! They want us to "hide" yet they have Doctor and other killers like him. NOT ONLY THAT but they have PERKS that give you away no matter what...how does this work properly? What're they thinking? I feel like ######### cause it makes me sound like a salty survivor main but genuinely this makes me feel awful for survivors in general. There's no way a killer can lose on these new maps. Some will but it's going to be hard to lose with this.

I mean granted yeah it's unfun for survivor's but it's not like your gonna run into a mori every match

Also having a bad day doesn't justify giving other people a bad one as well sadly

  • @Aldofer said:

just look at the mess that killer power is, some killer are just bad and can't almost never win even played the best way possible, why want this for survivor?

Each killer is unique and requires a certain playstyle. It's not that they're bad it's that you don't understand how to play them. They each require you to understand their power and understand what you need to do with it in order to counter the survivors.

I have had nearly 3000hrs in this game and have managed to play each killer fairly well over the hours and again things get boring when you go into a match and aren't meant with much a challenge. I can go into a game vsing a survivor and already know what to expect them to bring. It's boring and makes gameplay rather dull.

Giving the survivors small abilities allow them to have purpose like they should. It also allows for new and exciting builds that aren't completely "meta". It also allows players to be able to open their small bubble and find a playstyle that suits them.

You might think that perks already do that but there are too many "meta" perks going around that you can expect to be brought almost instantly. Also I don't think it would break the game or the match making if they can go about it correctly.

Killer's have abilities and are picked based on what can instantly knock you down or counter a loop. Huntress and Billy are one of the most loved killers for their ability and let's not forget Nurse. It just seems unfair that survivors are picked on who can blend into grass more or who just looks the cutest. I don't think that giving a survivor an ability (again if done correctly) will cause a bunch of survivors not to be played--and even if it does why would it matter? We already see that with Killers lmao

Jesus it's like talking to children. Ok let me explain as explicitly as I can since everybody here seems to be good at missing the point.

I'm. Not. Talking. About. All. Games.

I'm talking about specifically going against a very skilled 4 man SWF. A Rank 1 killer against a very skilled 4 man SWF will lose most of the time. Period. Watch Otzdarva, Puppers, Monto, EdgarAlanBro...doesn't matter who. They all agree because they all know it to be true.

If 3 different survivors are on 3 different gens, by the tie you get one hook, at least 2 gens will pop. This

Again the state of the match really is determined by how well you do at the start.

You seem to be under the impression that the survivors are in control of the match. That isn't the case.

Really, correct me if I am wrong, the control of the match is determined by whichever one can pull through first.

No one is in control at first. You get two hooks and only one gen has been done then it's obv the Killer is in control more right now.

You get two gens done and one hook is all the killer has got off then the Survivors are in control right now.

Really WHO is in control can change depending on how the game goes.

I think that survivor passives are a really good idea, kinda like in Warframe, the passives aren't usually game breaking, and make the game alot more fun.

I think that it would make survivor way more appealing.

I think that it wouldn't break the game. I think it would make it less dull but I feel like they're trying to not trigger or tilt any of the killer mains and that's why they won't go there. We all know how toxic this community can be and how many people sweat when it comes to Killer or survivor. I think it would be an amazing add and like all things, we would come to find a way to overcome(:

Agree to disagree. You seem to be under the impression that the killer is in control of the match and that isn't the case.

The killer simply takes advantage of mistakes the survivors make. I get 4Ks all the time. All day long, all night long. But a 4 man Red rank SWF with good game knowledge will have complete control of the match and that's for the simple fact that it's a 4v1 at the end of the day.

And a swf is tricky but none the less can be beat and they don't always win. Trust me when I tell you in my hours of playing I have seen some mess swf and some godly ones. It's 50/50 on the team.

I tend to think that it's a win win if you get any type of kill because you'll lose some and win some. It's not like you should think you're gonna win every game. I always enter the game with the mindset that if I get two kills then I mean it's a pretty big deal. Esp at a low rank. I tend to play for nothing more than fun anyways. Of course I have "bad games" where I lose some and don't get a single kill. Now that's an L but I don't think that getting two kills is an L. One kill just makes me sad because I coulda done better but it is what it is. You're not supposed to escape every game just like you're not supposed to always get the great amount of kills.

  • @FiftyCalReaper said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/722048#Comment_722048

A 4 man team of very good survivors will always win. If there's 3 survivors working on 3 different gens every time you chase somebody, there's literally nothing you can do about it. If they gen tap gens you kick, repair gens instead of healing, and then pop Adrenaline, you'll be lucky to walk away with 1K. I'm a rank 1 killer and I'm good at what I do, but basically any full time streamer with thousands of hours into the game will tell you the same thing. There are certain matches where the killer can literally do nothing to prevent a 4 man escape no matter how good you are. No amount of "gen pressure" will cut it, because you can only be in once place at one time. Killers like Freddy and Billy can help with this, but the gens will still go just as fast if they're all working on different gens at the same time, and good SWF teams understand this concept.

Again they won't always win. It's not a game where survivors always win. If you got skill against the other player and know what you're doing then surely to god it's a good match and you get two kills or three at least. That alone is a WIN

I like creating things. So I will make abilities for survivors. Pretend they have a balanced You would have to press a button to activate it.

Dwight - Boost to generator progression for 10 seconds.

Meg - Recover from exhaustion faster than you normally would for 10 seconds

Claudette - Get a boost to healing speed for 10 seconds

Jake - Go completely silent for anything for 20 seconds.

Nea - Vault and recover from falling faster for 20 seconds.

David - While bear somebody gain immunity to damage for 5 seconds (This would obviously have a very long cooldown)

Ace - Increase your chances a whole lot to find an add on and higher rarity loot when opening a chest.

Feng Min - See the locations of generators near you for 15 seconds.

Bill - Get a massive boost to recovery when on the ground and you can pick yourself back up.

Laurie - Be able to see the killer for 5 seconds and have the killer see you for 5 seconds at any distance.

Quentin - You can’t gain any negative status effects (except for exhaustion) for 30 seconds.

Kate - Get a boost to wiggle speed and increase the power of struggling.

Adam - Alert the killer towards you and the killer can’t see any other aura besides you for 5 seconds.

Jeff - Gain the ability to not have your aura read for 10 seconds.

Jane - You can’t get grabbed or interrupted for 10 seconds.

David Tapp - See the killer’s aura for 3 seconds.

Ash - I couldn’t think of one XD

Steve - have your aura shown while everyone else gains immunity to damage for 3 seconds. Aura is shown for 5 seconds.

Nancy - Show you’re location to everyone else for 15 seconds.

somebody mentioned something about people maiming certain survivors, burn then again you have people maiming certain killers 😆

I said the same thing. There's a ######### ton of meta killers out there so really it wouldn't make a damn.

I dunno. To me, the perks seem like abilities. Each survivor has a personality that the perks are supposed to mesh with, so sticking with just their perks is kinda like the survivor having an ability. There are so many perks, you can create so many different tailored builds: medic, stealth ninja, sabo-wiggler. And the killer has no idea what you're going in with, they're gonna assume most survivors are running the meta. Each survivor having an ability would telegraph to the killer what kind of build they're probably running. Kinda like how seeing a Claudette signals to the killer that they've probably got Urban Evasion and Self Care. Most Neas have Balanced Landing, most Megs have Sprint Burst, most Davids have Dead Hard.

Really that is how a lot of things feel to survivor and it works like that. I just think it would be a bit fun for a survivor to get their own little buff even if it's with Items instead of just alone you know? It makes it more thrilling for killer and survivor unless you're one of those try hards who don't have fun with anything other than winning EVERY game. I just think it would be a fun thing to experiment with even if it's not brought into the actual game and it should be something they look into eventually esp with where they're going with killers! It would just overall be cool to experience!

  • @FiftyCalReaper said:

A full team of skilled Red rank survivors on comms will beat the best killer in the world any day of the week. Survivors don't need anymore powers. Besides, that wouldn't make sense within the lore. The killer is supposed to be strong and scary, it isn't supposed to be a level playing field. That's why it's 4v1. Survivors also have a good amount of strong perks. Those are your powers right there. Dead Hard, Head On, Balanced Landing, DS, BT.

That is not entirely true at all my guy. If you're a good killer it won't matter how good a survivor is. Same with the 4v1 system. If you're good at the killer you play and you're good at knowing what to expect you'll win however not even game is meant to be one by the killer and same for survivor lmao the game is balanced in that sense.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/722024#Comment_722024

Killer being easy depends on what rank you're at, what killer you play as, etc. Survivors become more powerful the more experience and map awareness they have.

Survivors' power is the fact that they outnumber the killer, so if they don't work well as a team, then they're pretty much destined to fail. That's the way the game is designed. It sucks if you're good and your teammates are potatoes, but 1v1 a survivor is supposed to be much weaker than the killer; if they weren't, 4v1 would be grossly unfair for the killer.

I've been rank 1 killer and rank 1 survivor. I think the outnumbering thing is kinda turn but also in a sense we have to be aware that there are add ons that make the numbers useless not to mention the abilities. Some abilities are just flat out nasty and amazing to use. I just think it would be fun to give survivors something more to them than just them basically being a skin. Plus I am sure there is a way to make them be able to be countered or to make it small enough to not affect original gameplay.

  • @FrenziedRoach said:

They've said repeatedly this will never be a thing. They want people to be free to use whatever survivor they want.

And I'm afraid they're right. I mean, we saw it before we had such a variety of survivors when a certain character was picked above the others because she blended in better with the dark background more than anybody else.

if you add survivor passives, a meta will develope and we'll see less variety in survivors themselves.

that's just how gamers are, always min-maxing.

There's already a meta with killers so what's the problem with a meta of survivors?

There are also thousands of ways to give each character something unique without having the survivor be a "meta survivor".

Everyone has their own playstyle and they could use that to their ability yet they choose to cross it out because they don't want too many of one survivor?? That's a tad bit hypocritical seeing as to how we see more meta killers than we do killer's like Hag or Pig. Why don't we see them more often? Because they just aren't "as good" as some would say.

To me, I don't have a main killer. I will play whatever I feel like and find that nearly every killer has an amazing ability that just requires a certain playstyle. I find it fun to have abilities even on their own. Running no perks to just ######### around can be super fun (but sometimes stressful with SWF) but my mood is never really soured.

I just think abilities should be a survivor thing too, even if it's a 0.2 increase of something such as speed or healing. Would make the game even more interesting and less dull.

Again, I hate going into a game knowing what to expect from survivors. I feel like it would just spice things up a tad.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/722017#Comment_722017

They don't want survivors to have an equal chance during the end game if they're the last one left and the other three died. At that point, the survivors have failed their objective multiple times; any last chance at escape should be very difficult. As survivor, I know I'm usually screwed, but those times I do manage to escape are all the more thrilling and rewarding for it.

I see your point but sometimes killer seems way to easy for me so I guess I just view endgame a little more as just bashing the last survivor. Plus there has been MANY occasions the last survivor has tried to repair or tried to do something but their teammates are the one to bring them down so I just don't see it as fair as it should be. I mostly just play for fun though and don't really try to overthink it--just feels like a pity kill on my end if that happens.

  • @Alice_pbg said:

I rather survivors be just skins. So I can choose the one I like the most and not feel like I'm at a disadvantage.

But killers need to be distinctive, so you know what to expect with just a glance

So why don't survivor's need to be? There are always ways to counter a killer so why can't they create something to counter a survivor? That's what perks are for right? At least to survivors. It's to counter killer's abilities or buy yourself time for being alive.

Survivors shouldn't be just skins IMO, it just seems boring and rather bland. You can create things for survivors AND not have a meta of survivors running around. There are thousands of good ideas for each characters that're unique and would fit someone's playstyle alone. Not everyone wants to be meta.

  • I highly doubt that considering some of the things they put in are completely killer favored anyways. Example would be endgame. Whilst it is cool in concept it is messy in reality for if you're the last survivor. I nearly feel bad as Killer when I get put in situations like one player vs Endgame. I would rather stand off at hatch anyday due to how nasty I feel or degraded I feel when I get a kill because I can close the hatch and patrol the doors. Endgame is (95%) killer favored so how do they WANT everyone to have an equal chance? Even with some killer's abilities it just seems unfair that survivors don't get that and are just skins. JMO though.
