  • I did go against a couple TTV's and they as well randomly disconnected and have said in their streams that it's been happening for a good minute forgot to put this in as well

  • @Xernoton said:

Maybe because they are unaware of this particular issue. I suggest posting in the bug report section and give them as much information as possible. Is your network connection stable, on what platform do you play, which roll does that happen as, how frequent does it happen, is there anything in particular that seems to trigger the disconnect, does the game crash as well or is it only the disconnect?

it has happened to both killers and survivors. for the killer, it happened twice first time it happened I went to go kick a generator right after hooking someone, and for the survivor, it also happened twice once solo and the next time with a small SWF first time I was mid-way through unhooking someone, and the second time I was almost done with a generator. my connection I would say is pretty stable I don't have any other issues with other online multiplayer games that I played after getting a 5-minute timer so it could be something with the game or something on their end other than that I can't think of anything but thank you I will do put it in the bug report but I will say they should be more on top of this because it's not the first time and even streamers have complained about it happening again thank you

  • I dropped this Thread 5 days ago I see 18 people read it or at least opened it but no one commented on it.

  • @SomberNokk said:

Wait did you just say that survivor queues are too long cause theres more killers playing then survivors?

yea someone did the math and told me and I ran with it and I didn't realize he was wrong until after I sent the post and I just never bothered to correct it. It was my own stupidity to not check myself but it's whatever at this point I got my results out of the thread.

    The difference being two-fold:

    1. The Killer's time is more valuable than Survivor's, because his is limited by how quickly Survivors do gens. He has less time to spend Snuffing totems because he also has to: Find Survivors, chase Survivors, h it Survivors, hook Survivors, pressure gens, possibly keep an eye on exit gates, etc.
    2. Even if the Killer snuffs CoH; it will pop right back up in 8 seconds, meaning his Snuffing is literally a delaying action, whereas a Survivor doing bones is permanently removing a perk.

Yea I can agree that if the Killer brings a Hex and someone breaks/boons it that's gone unless you have Undying but IDK about it coming back up in 8 seconds unless you didn't mean literally plus unless you have survivors that go back to the same totem they are really brain dead they should keep in moving at least that's what I do if I use them haven't play Mekalea much but a few times.

I also didn't take in the fact that killers do have to do all that and then some. Don't get me wrong I am still just trying to understand the minds of Killer mains and not just people who play killer to do whatever like myself I don't play killer often

  • @AngyKiller said:

Ok. I have looked at steam charts; tell what statistic shows how many people are playing Killer or Survivor.

You can't? Oh, that must mean you pulled 'if you look at that number clearly more than half are playing Killer then Survivor' out of nowhere, huh? There's clearly more Survivor players, just by looking at how long Survivor queues are; there's not enough Killers to go around, so Survivors are left waiting.

This game is the most Survivor-sided it's ever been:

    1. Pentimento: A strong hex! Except it launches at literally the same time as Boons, which removes Survivors cleaning totems, which is what Penti needs. Clearly just a fake perk to appease Killers.
    2. CoH being OP as heck.
    3. The CoH nerf clearly being a hollow gesture to make Killers shut up without depriving Survivors of their OP perk.
    4. Boil Over being broken as all heck.
    5. The Quality Of Life wriggle change containing a Survivor buff because they literally can't alter anything in this game without giving Survivors something in return.

And yet, Survivors stomp their feet and whine that Killers aren't 'playing nice' and 12 hooking, knowing full well a Killer who 12 hooks can't get more than 1 kill without either being amazing or going against potatoes.

Which is probably what most Survivors want; a Killer who can't kill. So they insult Killers, and shame tactics that allow Killers to win, demanding Killers 'be happy with the 3K' and 'Stop sweating', and scream to nerf NoED while running 4 META perks each while in a 4 man SWF on voice comms. 🙃

I mean I do agree with you for the most part but I'm going to tell you the same as I tell dumb survivors who complain about NOED if you feel like there is a possibility for NOED if you see a Totem break it but for killer find it and stomp it CoH really isn't that powerful yes it is Strong wont argue about that but it can be countered like everything else you just have to find it when wow hit a survivor and watch where they go and holy crap Batman you know where it is or at least the general area. Again everything else I agree with

  • @fulltonon said:

I'm pretty sure camping/tunneling is passive playstyle and not aggressive playstyle because you don't actively hunt down survivors as opposed to walking around and defending gen/breaking palette/hitting survivors.

I'm not sure how slugging gonna be though.

then you clearly haven't come across a Killer who is aggressive as of yesterday I had 3 PC KIllers tell me I don't like this map so i Try-Hard and had to be aggressive so i get off this map or my favorite I hate your team just cause so i wanted to be rude so hmmm tell me how playing like that isnt aggressive whatsoever

  • This is the stupidest thing ever for a game company to try to do just to get you to play their trashy game that they seem to never be able to fix or balance.

    In order:

1 - Her cooldown length differs depending on how many birds she used, taking longer if she fired more. In chase, it's most useful to hit a survivor with one bird to swarm them, then fan two or three birds to pincer-attack them while they're still repelling. If you use three birds, the cooldown will be long enough for them to repel before you can fire again, so it's not a good opening salvo.

2 - Her attack goes through walls, but it's less accurate the farther away she is from you, it takes two hits to damage through walls (swarm and then hit again before swarm removal), and she only has wallhacks when the survivor isn't repelling crows, which they can do at any time. If you get damaged from across the map, it's either a crazy fluke or your fault for leaving the crows on.

3 - Killer instinct has always worked through lockers. It's a mechanic that was introduced with Legion, IIRC.

I find she takes a lot of skill to use well. Her tracking ability is braindead, just shoot birbs at gens, but actually getting hits with her power requires good prediction and also good timing, because she can't fire her projectile immediately, unlike Huntress who can do see survivor --> throw stick without further thought. She has to do a greater amount of leading than her or Deathslinger, and that gives survivors more room to maneuver out of the way and behave unpredictably.

You get free hits if survivors are dumb and drop pallets in front of a bird or never repel, but in practice, that's happening less and less as people learn how to play against her.

I totally forgot that they introduced Killer Instinct with Legion but to be far I never use it because I find it stupid just another easy way to find Survivors because you just can't open your eyes but thank you for reminding me that its been in the game for a while and reminding me why I hate Killer Instinct same reason why I hate BBQ I only use that for the BP and not to know where anyone is in the game but again thank you for giving me more information about this Killer. I will keep that in mind when I do play the new Killer but I still think that there should be some changes to make her better.

  • Yea see that's a big ass lie right there the "WE" cant unban you actually yes you can sense it's your game regardless of if you have partnered up with to handle Anti Cheats or not

  • @[Deleted User] said:

If it was a simple issue to fix im sure they would have fixed it. They've just said they won't ban for it but won't do anything if EAC auto-bans you for it.

I assure you that it is very simple and that they refuse to do anything about it because they want you to rebuy the game and all the DLC for 120$ dollars a pop to make them richer

This should be the case for both sides. It's frustrating to bring something fancy, only to have 3 people chain-DC because I managed to get an early down and they were in an SWF together, or just didn't feel like playing against Pinhead/Plague/Doctor/Hag/Ghostface/what have you.

What also grinds my grapes is losing pips because a survivor DCed at the loading screen.

Agreed. I no longer DC in my matches if I don't feel like playing against you which is rare mostly when I see a Pinhead because he is just broken and the chains are cheap AF but anyways I'll be in the Basement pointing at the hook but normally I play the game until it goes south then you will also see me in the Basement pointing since I know how the game is going to end anyways with fat ole Camp Tunnel and Slug to the face

  • I just heard it took 6 years for them to nerf Claudeete's Bloody Cosmetic so it wouldn't be as hard to see her when she hides. So I wonder how long it will take for them to do this because its so Bull

  • All I can say is you have a twisted brother to pull some BS like that on you JS

  • @Tr1nity said:

I don't try as much as I used to anymore. I used to be a killer main back when Freddy came out and over the years I just realized there's no point in trying. The amount of stress that gets build-up is too much, the mental state that you put yourself in after a good hour or 2 of playing nothing but the killer is not healthy at all, and the backlash you have to deal with when that 4 man SWF loses because you had to do some "bad plays" like slugging when there's one gen left but 4 survivors are still alive and only 1 or 2 might be on death hook.

I read some of your comments and I personally don't believe you've played killer to its full potential. Play killer for 1 month or however long it takes you to get to red rank and you'll see. Not sure if it even makes a difference now because of MMR which is also the reason I don't try at the game so I can just relax with music and get blood points and not care about getting enough points to pip. It could also be that, maybe, most of the good killers probably quit or they started playing so that they could get kills since there was a discussion between Tru3 and Otz about hooks over kills and since not a lot of people like Tru3 they went and did what Otz said which is to just slug/camp or whatever to get kills and that's what people did for a month, straight. I don't know if it was to prove a point but it was boring and that was around the time I stopped playing DBD again. Overall, I probably quit this game about 5 times because solo queue sucks, and playing a killer isn't any better now that they nerfed the good ones. I used to main Trapper all the time, Trapper was BAE, fam. When I wanted to try I would just play Nurse which is also not the same now that I have to wait for the stupid blink timer to refill but at least she is still viable.

I'm not going to lie to you I don't push myself into using a Killers full potential and I probably won't I know what it's like in red ranks, not through my account if I'm going to keep it 100 with you I used my cousins account when I was visiting family that man was Rank 1 for both Survivor and Killer tired both sides and dropped him to rank 2 almost rank 3 so I felt bad and got off the game I'm comfortable with Purple ranks because that's when it starts to get bad IMO but I am able to stay afloat around there but I am also fine with being in Green Ranks.

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

The problem OP, is that many of those killers who do Camp haven't played survivor at all.

So the reason why you don't do it, is because you've played survivor and know how cheap it feels. Many of these killers who camp wouldn't know the first thing about what it means on the survivor side because they simply don't play that side.

You're 100% correct and I bet that most of the people that have come to this forum are people who only play Killer or Rarely play Survivor because of the Rift so they don't fully understand some of the things some Survivors if not all have to deal with. Like some who see a KEY OMG A KEY they oh boy the sweat just drips off their necks because of it flashlights have the same rule applied but not as much as lately but it is there and it is a problem. When I see a KEY I don't lose my mind over it I see who it is clearly and I can deal with them when I see them but it doesn't mean to get rid of him as soon as the game starts to go ahead and Tunneling Camping and Slugging them down hook leave if he heals then ok I don't go out of my way to down them because of a KEY.

  • @Power_Guy said:

Rofl. More Survivor whining about 'Trash Killers' who somehow get magical kills because 'camping', 'tunneling' and 'slugging' somehow auto-kill Survivors and are never Survivor's faults.

It's always the same BS; insults and shaming of Killer tactics in an attempt to force rules down their throats that make them play sub-optimally.

It's always 'bad Killers' and 'scrub tactics' and 'toxic playstyle' in an attempt to shame Killer players into avoiding what Survivors hate. Like 'be happy with the 3K' and 'stop sweating'. But Survivors are allowed to genrush and expect free unhooks and get a 4E all day.

    Hypocrites.

If Survivors can bang out a gen in under 60 seconds with friends; Killers can camp/confirm a kill. If Survivors are stupid enough to walk towards the Killer and expect a free unhook, then they are at fault when they get hit.

The Killer deserves to try winning just as much as the Survivors, so deal with it. You don't get to dictate how the other side plays.

So you're saying that the Face Camping Huntress that I just went against is 100% ok to get confirm kills because if so then hate to say that is a trashy playstyle that ended screwing them over in the end after they complained about why they depipped as back to rank 12 because they thought that how they played was a good strategy in the game which sorry to say it is not

Also, love how I have talked about playing both sides multiple times, and seems that most people ignore that and only focus on the point of when I played Survivor but its cool LMAO

  • @Raccoon said:

Hopefully OP plays against or with a good team sometime before the game's demise.

Reading through their replies on the topic really demonstrates their ignorance towards high level play.

I have played what I would classify as Good Teams as a Killer and Survivor

Killer, I was Clown and they all ran me, oh boy would say 45 mins that was when I was rank 10 at that time granted Ranks then were also broken if I remember correctly 2 people were Red Rank 1 was Purple and I don't remember if the other was Green or Purple since I didn't see him as often in that match I enjoyed myself in that match long game those sat one 1 Gen for a long time

Survivor, I was with some Streamers all Red Ranks they did their best to keep me alive the Exit Gate opened and that's when I went down I either pipped or double pipped the Killer was a Spirit she was nice I believe she knew I wasn't at their Ranks but fair enough to let me do my best that match was a long time ago maybe around when I first started the game or sometime after

Taking an L by playing to your standards of Survivor fun is bad advice. Killers play however they like and if gen times only allows them to single out one Survivor, so be it.

The argument for casual Survivor fun is always made in regards to swf & sweaty plays, but what about the casual killer experience. Not every killer is rank 1 material.

Guess everyone needs to shut it and get gud.

When I play Survivor I don't care that you kill me as long as I can do something which seems that in most games when the sweaty Killers are out don't happen I did say that nighttime games are bad but, when I play killer I can take a simple L because as a Killer I do enough to pip and even safety is a win for me

Slugging/tunneling will help a person win. You can play to have fun like my build, but its not going to be better lol

You seem to be a fair enough killer and id be glad to run into you one day

I don't want OP to think we're bashing on them. We're not, but we always get the "killer is so easy" which it is at gray and green ranks, but the moment you start going it, it changes drastically. I was rank ten at one point and I'm stuck in a limbo of purples and reds.

I had to sweat hard to do okay, but I can't win at all on Coldwind I hate that map so much, it's so unbalanced.

What map has a jungle gym close to the killer shack and the slaughter house? That tile spawn was just destined for me to lose

I feel your pain Coldwind map sucks needs rework lol. Also, I don't think anyone is bashing me it's just words if I reply to someone its to agree with what they say or drop my reasons for what I think about the topic even if it is my own topic if my message sounds rude I don't mean for that to feel like I'm coming off in any way. I try to stick to some form of positive outlook reading each comment even if its someone trying to be negative and I do know everyone has their own opinion but just like everyone else when they make a discussion I like to stand my ground on how I personally feel about especially this one where I do play both sides and understand how each side feels others feel differently and that is fine as well

You know how it goes. "I never have to tunnel, slug, camp and I still 4k as killer" coming from someone in green or lower ranks, or just plain bullshit. You don't 4k all your games at high rank without AT LEAST the occasional slug, tunnel, camp. Like you mentioned before I as well don't start with none of these tactics I go for the 12 hook and yes there are games where I win using the survivor rule book. You can't do that every game not to mention as I have said in other posts not every killer uses just their main. Truthfully speaking you have no idea if the killer is at his best unless there is something in his profile showing his top killer. For Instance I got the twins ritual last night "chase for 180 or 300 seconds with twins" can quite remember the time but the challenge should say chase with Charlotte because Vik don't count towards the ritual. I had 20 minutes before the new ritual came out and I needed to clear the spot. So I never used vik to get it done in one game. Got a couple to death hook and they barely got out against a killer with no power. Get a message your trash.....I tried to explain what I was doing but they no care and said we would beat you in a custom as well.......Okay now that I want to see (killer my choice, with perks my choice, I'll take those odds) sent him request, got message back "We don't have a fourth sorry" which I responded "That's convenient lmk when you do". Can't tell you how many people I run into who can't think outside their little bubble. When I destroy a killer my team usually starts the "man he sucked speech" which I politely say look at the perks, how he played in trial, it's clear he don't use him/her often if not at all. We should have won. just like OP can't see outside his own SWF, run anti-tunnel, slug, and camp perks that is what they are there for. They won't it's easier to cry when you die.

Ok I never claimed to say I was in High Ranks as a Killer I bounce between Green and Purple also never claimed that I always get a 4k but when I do and when I don't I personally don't use cheap tactics now a few friends who bounce between Purple and Red also don't use cheap tactics. I've been practicing with High-Rank Killers with Custom games and been taught not to do that because when the game is over you personally feel cheated for the win and that's if I get it also not saying I always win because most of the time I do pick one person to escape the trial. Also, I assume that your High Ranked Purple to High Ranked Red.

Now in the telling, if a Killer is good or not everyone can tell pretty easily when they use the M1 attack or the killer special attack good killers that I have seen can keep up in a chase doesn't easily fall for pallets or windows same with flashlights, and flashbangs so it's elementary to know who is good or bad. Also to add in Ranks kind of don't mean much of anything but bragging rights which whatever but Ranks are broken and you can get any ranked survivor or killer because of it which then makes it even easier to tell.

Now you trying to complete something and the Survivors trash talk you because you either didn't know what you're doing then they themselves are garbage and themselves seem to not play Killer and don't plan to do so. Sorry, you had to deal with ignorance with those people not understanding that you were doing something that needed to be completed I know what that feels like which is why I don't normally myself type in end game chat unless I got completely Bodied within mins of the game starts which does happen since some Killers do single out 1 person.

Now the last thing yes you're right I do see it often when I do play Solo or SWF that my team trash talks the killer and not seeing any Anti-Tunnel, Slug, and Camp perks but in my experience with my more current games that they don't always work its someone does have Decisive Strike if Killers think you have it they will not pick you up and wait it out. Dead Hard works like 60% of the time depending on the map then it's higher. Borrowed time yea you get free hit but if the killer wants you badly enough then there is no point. Unbreakable 90% of the time you're never left on the ground long enough. Adrenaline 50/50 but I don't see it anymore because it's the same as Borrowed Time if they stay around you when you're down. We're Gonna Live Forever great for bloodpoints but that still isn't the best if the killer camps at the end. Soul guard is basically the same as Borrowed Time. Off the record garbage version of Iron Will but the killer not seeing you is good but there are better ways to not have your aura seen. Flip-flop again not on the ground long enough ever. No Mither you're just asking to get bodied from the start USELESS. We'll Make It this one is nice to have as long as the killer doesn't come back to you fast heals are good. Babysitter is an ok perk teammate doesn't leave marks or pools and I can see the killer but he/she can see me too. Tenacity never left on the ground long enough.

also yes when a Survivor doesn't run at least ones that would help which are a couple of good ones regardless of what I said Survivors shouldn't complain as much about not running at least one of those perks and they need to understand and find the good ones so I do agree with you on that one

Sorry for that last part being different something bugged and I couldn't bother typing it all again.

Mathematically the game is heavily survivor sided. Holding shift + w, not using any pallets, not using any windows, not using any perks, no looping, no nothing, it will take the killer 47 seconds to down you. Factor in the time it took to find the survivor, picking them up, walking to a hook, and hooking them. You easily add 15-20 seconds, which makes it 62-67 seconds And you probably just lost 3 gens by the time you can even walk to the next survivor even if you knew exactly where they were.. Rinse and repeat.

At the highest level play, only nurse is viable. Watch any tournament, and if the killer is not nurse, they will heavily camp and tunnel the first survivor because it is the only way to lock in kills.

The recent tru3talent vs oracle matches made a lot of survivors realize this, so red ranks generally is just shift + w now.

I have watched plenty of Tournaments and I never see Heavy Camping or Tunneling then again I watch people that are really good at the game like Monto Noob3 and a few others and I never see any of that. So I have no idea who you're watching that does this but they may have their reasons.

Now to the main thing, you said it seems like if you're not using Perks if I understand this correctly then that seems to be the problem there are Killer perks that slow the game down which then makes gen times longer there are even Killers other than Nurse that can put presser in the game without perks like Doctor, Legion, Sprit so on that help slow the game down so no reason for the heavy anything

NOTE: If you have links to those matches with tru3talent vs oracle please drop a link so I may watch them Thank You

You can't dictate how other people play. I mean, you can come on the forum and demand it all you want, but most of the players you're facing aren't even on the forum to read your posts. Even if they were on the forum, they wouldn't change the way they play just because you asked them to in a very impolite manner.

If you want change, tell BHVR to change the way their game is structured. It's not good game design that tunneling a survivor out is the best way to slow down gen repair. There are lots of tactics that aren't fun for either side, but the game encourages people to adopt certain playstyles. You're claiming pretty much every killer is playing a certain way, which suggests the problem isn't the players.

The answer isn't to tell players they're trash because you don't like how they play. The answer isn't to punish people who play in a way you don't find fun. The only way to change players' behavior is to change the game and the tactics required to win.

I'm simply saying that every Killer as of lately has been trash which is 1000% true and it's not like I'm saying that they need to stop playing the game and more learn to play better. If you Tunnel, Camp, and Slug in any way shape, or form clearly show you haven't learned enough to not do a trash playstyle because in no way is it fun or fair to either side. Which if they keep playing that way and they rank about going up in rank then later down the road it will become a problem for them as a Killer.

Now to you saying oh Tell BeHavior people have been for quite some time when it started to be a problem in the game and they ignore players who do play Survivor and the ones who Survive with Friends and the fact of the story is this game is completely Killer sided because any and I mean any Killer Main makes a complaint then they do whatever they say and fix or make an update to the game as for an example one of the Devs in a stream talked about how they are planning to remove the Mori Offerings and you will be able to Mori whenever you want to and as a Killer player myself that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard as well as weakening Survivors more by nerfing some of their perks and I also play Survivor as well and that also sounds pretty stupid so I can not trust BeHavior when it comes to fixing anything or adding something to help Survivors and the ones who Survive with Friends.

Now to your last statement IDK if that is a gab at you guessing how I personally play the game as Survivor or just as a general statement about all Survivors but to clarify about the way I play but I am far from Bad at the game to where I can not lose or loop a Killer because I practiced with many of people who helped me learn the game and how to with my best of my ability to avoid them with Pallets and Windows shot even ways to hug trees and rocks to be able to same myself. The only way 9 times out of 10 when I go down it is because I help my teammates who are being Tunneled, Camped, and Slugged because I find helping my team shows that they will come help me when I do need it which happens a lot

Well if I was actually saying that I probably would have just typed it out myself so no I don't think that's what I'm saying, What I'm actually saying is that I use it more sparingly rather than as my only strategy, and due to it being "conditional" that means its never done without reason or cause and potentially its never done at all but varies depending on the match. The main factor is just playing in response to the survivors since they control the early game but killers control the mid - late game I feel its a good compromise to play in response to how they play, their early objective play decides how they want me to play my objective. This is what I would argue is the fairest way to play while still playing to always win

Ahhh I get what you mean now that is completely understandable but. it's sad that no one does that or at least Killers that I normally run into because it seems that everyone who is new to the game has been watching YouTubers or Twitch Streamers. That do these cheap and unfair tactics and they get the concept that it the way to play the game and the way I have gotten this information was my last survivor match with a rank 16 where my team blasted him/her and I asked them why did they play like that and they said from videos from someone names Spook N Jukes so I told them to watch someone else like Stalky Boi and RapidMain because they will show you how to play Killer better and after that match, I went to watch Spook N Jukes and a few videos he Flip Flopped where he would Tunnel, Slug, and Camp and other videos he didn't not saying he isn't a bad source to learn from but keep your eyes open for better Creators who will teach you to play better as a Killer

It's just simply hilarious that people have turned to camping as blight, the highest mobility and most efficient vanilla killer in the game, at 4 gens. People simply don't want to try for more than one kill they'll take it, ruin the game and depip anyways because they don't pressure.

Killers these days just can't play they don't bother to learn some Videos will help you learn some sites will help you understand the perks but no they don't want to learn they just want to be unfair and cheap but the funny thing is they're not just doing to the Survivors they are doing that to themselves because doing that you won't pip nor you won't safety

I don't know why, but let's nerf Spirit again, that should fix the problem. And if not, throw Hillbilly and Legion into there as well.

Probably because you are playing in a SWF and the killer can sense it.

If im playing killer and I sense a SWF using comms and I'm getting rolled, I'm gonna tryhard by using 'dirty' tactics.

Post chat will be toxic as well.

I'm not Otzdarva or Umbra or any other top killers that can still get 3-4k from a coordinated SWF squad.

Then learn and get better at the game just like them watch youtube videos on how to play without having to use those cheap tactics because at that point no one is having any fun but with the fact of me playing with friends and using comms doesn't mean that we are talking tactics we don't even really say who the killer because we know what the sounds are that they make and can make out who it is without any issues so if you're playing the game like garbage then again either learn or don't play killer

  • @bjorksnas said:

People can play how they want, I conditionally use those strategies all the time even after x amount of hours, all thats changed is when I use them

So what you're saying is that you're bad at that game and can not find other ways to get better at the game gotcha

  • @Gaffy said:

Likely because survivors can finish 60% of their objective if 1 person knows how to loop, game is pretty easy if all you need to do is hold M1. Run DS or keep crying, funny stuff.

If you're in the looping game with one survivor then that is your fault you need to learn how to break away from the chase when going against a good survivor. Also, you talk about survivors holding M1 and Running Decisive Strike even though I rarely see Decisive Strike when I play Killer or when I have Randoms as a Survivor but let's talk about Killers just using M1 and ignoring if they have other abilities other than M1 or about the half a dozen perks that make them pretty OP even ones I use but and the end of the day I am fair in my games

  • @DwarvenTavern said:

You started playing when stranger things came out?

Oooohhh.... that was pretty much the only highlight of something good happening to killers.

I don't want to put on this impression of survivors are easy, but... they kinda are.

For killers it's a bit more stressful to keep up with these really fast gen times

Idk how it is more stressful unless you're making it stressful for yourself because I don't have any issue playing Killer to get a 4k same goes for my friends who play Killer. If you're playing and stressing out while playing as Killer then don't play Killer

They getting kills that way. They're not getting worse, they're getting better at killing.

Sorry I have to say you're completely wrong. Anyone who Camps, Tunnels, Slugs can't play the game and you need to learn to take an L. Stop with the garbage plays again I also play Killer but as I said I don't play this way and I end up double pipping or almost double pipping.

The game was over when that terrible Jill DC'd after being downed.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.....survivors are their own worst enemy through and through 1000%.

100% Fact I see so many other Survivors Sandbag - DC - getting other survivors caught ECT regardless if I am a fellow Survivor or the Killer

A whole thread of Survivors whining about Killers actually trying to kill them? Haven't seen one of these in a while.

Im not opposed to farming when survivors want to, most of the ones i come across are slamming gens and trying to escape and get their crowns. I need my points too so i have to stop them. If i try and be nice im lucky to get 4 hooks before theyre out the door 🤷‍♂️

I must have a way of telling survivors when I play Killer let's farm then since I somehow get the whole team to farm with me lol must be the Ghost Face crouch

Yeah but if you hook someone in the middle of your 3 gen you can patrol the gens AND camp the hook. Proxy camping = proximity camp. Youre staying near the hook but youre not in the persons face.

Understand, it takes 400 seconds for a gens to be done by 1 person, we can say 460 for time moving between gens, thats 7.7 minutes. We'll say 8 to round up and be generous. 1 survivor working gens solo can have all 5 gens done in 8 minutes.

Now lets look at 2 survivors working gens: if theyre both working the same gens thats 236 seconds to do 5. Thats basically 4 minutes. Add a minute running between gens thats 5 minutes. If they split and work seperate gens but come together at the last gen thats 3.4 mins, add 1 so 4 and a half minutes.

I can keep going but it only gets more ridiculous.

From the killers side: assuming everything is perfect theres 24 health states he has to go through. If we say average 15 seconds per health state thats 360 seconds.

Lets also assume it takes 10 seconds to find someone in between chases, thats another 80 secs

Theres an average of 10 pallets per map thats another 30 secs.

    360+80+30= 470/60=7.8 minutes

What this basically means that for a killer to "play nice" and never camp tunnel or slug they need to keep 3 survivors off gens AT ALL TIMES. This literally is not possible since they cant be in 3 places at once. This is the game at its base level, perks and strategies adjust this. Gens can take longer, but chases can also take longer. This is why killers dont play nice, they dont have time. If a killer hooks you and camps you and all 3 other survivors get off gens to get the rescue hes shaving down the time to get health states considerably. If he slugs you and immediately starts chasing someone else, thats another person that has to come off a gen to get the slug. If he can force a 3 gen it wont take as ling to walk between them and get hits/downs.

Believe me, i understand being camped/tunneled is frustrating. But its literally how its designed to be. You cant play any other way.

And understand to im being stupid generous here, its actually worse because it can take way longer than 30 seconds to down someone

You do make a valid and strong point doing all the math into this and believe me, I do appreciate the time you took to do that. I just never see any of this in the game sadly and I don't really want them to be nice but more considerate when it comes down to the events that BeHavior releases for us the Community. I as well as other people would have liked to see both killers and survivors working together to get as much out of the event as humanly possible like I don't even mind if at the end they kill me or not but it just seems that between the end of 2020 and all of 2021 this game has just gotten worse with the type of players this game has attracted like what is the point of all 4 survivors and the killer adding 5 cakes that add 525% more with blood points just to end the game in seconds if not mins just to get 30k blood points that a massive waste.

This about this 525% of 25k = 131,250 and that's if you make 25k which if you're working together and farm you'll most defiantly make that even more especially if you add Perks like  Barbecue and Chilli - Beasts of Prey - Distressing - Thrill of the Hunt for Killer / No One Left Behind - Prove Thyself - We're Gonna Live Forever fir Survivor

If we actually worked together for just the event then it will be 100% worth it that way you can blow all those sweet blood points on your favorite killers or survivors. After the event play, however, your heart feels like playing I would just like for all of us to just take advantage of the event and I bet a lot of people do is all.

IDK why is it there twice too to be honest...

"10% of people that actually play Deathslinger the way he is meant to pressuring Survivors to mend"

So there are players who know how to play Deathslinger.

"all the ones I've seen since his release Shot put you in a mend state and then chase you to down you end of story these people don't play as you do sorry to burst your bubble back to reality where not every player plays the same so again "

I don't want to burst your bubble, but most players are bad at this game and this game should not be balanced about them.

Most of Deathslingers don't use mending, that doesn't mean it is worthless. What the hell is that logic. When you wanna rate something you want to rate it based on people who know how to use it.

Yes, there are some players again 10% which is rare when coming across a Deathslinger player since again 90% of them just M1 or they put you in a mending state just to stay on you to down you never going out of the way to find anyone else so yes in those types of matches mending is useless.

"I don't want to burst your bubble, but most players are bad at this game and this game should not be balanced about them."

You say most you might as well say 75% of the player base is bad and that's just me being generous and yes I do believe the game should be more balanced towards them especially since they released Cross-Play which is a mix feeling since you can have a good killer or a garbage one same goes for survivors.

"Most of Deathslingers don't use mending, that doesn't mean it is worthless"

That does mean it is worthless because Survivors themselves never get the chance to mend which also means that the person playing Deathslinger isn't wracking up the points for putting people in Deep Wound status if these players keep playing the way they are which means not getting enough points to pip up if they just make the game short by not slowing the game down by forcing survivors to mend.

"When you wanna rate something you want to rate it based on people who know how to use it"

Also, I rate something by Science and Numbers which gives me a percentage I analyze the games I've played in as well as Streamers I watch as well my friends who share screen their games to me. I don't just all willy nilly toss numbers and percentages out of my ass just cause. I do the research. Something like this isn't hard and anyone can do this something I assume you do not and that's ok you just play the game and don't think about any of this like I do or other people that I know who do this kind of thing with Video Games. With your opinion, you don't see anything with Deathslinger but since I made this Discussion the people who have commented say the something as I do Deep Wound Effect is worthless and shouldn't be in the game for Deathslinger because 90% of players who play him don't play him as he was intended to be played as because they just want to end the game as soon as it starts which in my personal opinion is a stupid way to play the game.

I know that the only reason why you are so massively defending Deathslinger and his Deep Wound status effect is that you play him as your main killer and what you're failing to realize that BeHavior gives no ######### about this Discussion not as they will ever read this and be like Hmmm.... this player has a good point maybe we should remove it so they will just do what they want to do adding more licensed and original killers with a map and move on never really fixing any of the bugs and issues in the game so just take all this as "My Own Opinion" and stop being so soft defending a character in a game

Blame the rise in toxic survivors for the spike in toxic killers. I, as well as many others who have commented or made posts on the forum, tried to play fair, tried to 2 hook everyone even if it meant no sacrifices. The amount of t-bagging and clicky clicky flashlights and even the occasional sabo squad stopping me from getting hooks, playing 3 purple offerings to extend the distance between hooks whilst I gave them cake.

This wore me down, as well as less than 5 minutes game time before the final gen gets finished, with exception to the sabo squads whose sole intentions were to make my games as miserable as possible.

I turned from a chill killer into a give no craps killer, even running noed which I have not run in a long time due to not liking the perk. This is solely because of game after game of toxic survivors.

I do agree that the amount of Toxic Survivors has gone up in the last year or so but it mostly because of Killers at a point stopped caring as what someone else had said in this form. I do feel that if there was a way for Killers and Survivors to communicate in the game not with Voice Chat but some kind of body language like survivors pointing or killers spinning to indicate that help I'm willing to farm or I'm willing to not be a prick then problem solved but the issue with that is no one will do it or Toxic Killers and Survivors will just use it as a form of bait and just make this an even worse problem and have to find a new way to show we have a Truce and that I am friendly but that's just me though

Proxy camping doesnt prevent pipping. In fact it helps in pipping since if youre smart youre still patrolling your 3 gen and making the game more difficult for survivors getting more hits, downs and hooks especially in end game.

I mean a dev literally told us to let the gens far away go...its almost as if the game was designed to be this way 🤔

Then hate to say that Dev is ######### and when I mean by Proxy camping is being close not going to any gen and just staying close enough so they can see you but you cant see him and that play style is garbage no wonder the game has gone to ######### if the devs play this way themselves

They should give us an option to block other people you don’t want to play with again.

His mending is not worthless, if you know how to use it. There are two situations, where it is good:

-you hit survivor over pallet or window from huge distance. Then it is good idea to leave him, because he was far away from start and speed boost didn't help it. It changes, if he is in dead zone.

-you hit someone and there is another survivor close. Then it is better to switch target and force him mend. This was you pressure two survivors instead of one.

Argument "I have done, so that's how it works" is really bad one. You think mending is worthless, so that means your map pressure is even worse than usual. Everyone can get good map pressure against bad survivors, even burger king Myers, but that doesn't mean that killer has good map pressure potencial by default.

He is slow killer with limited range. He has one of the best 1v1 tho, but it is still not that easy against good survivors, there are things to slow you down. Break line of sight, hold W, pre-drop pallets and learn when to side-step. It is possible to have long chase even against Deathslinger.

IDK why you posted the same thing twice but yea maybe for you playing as a Deathsligher as your Main Killer that is something you do where you put Survivors in a mending state and leave them so what you're saying is your the other 10% of people that actually play Deathslinger the way he is meant to pressuring Survivors to mend not every Deathslinger Killer plays like that all the ones I've seen since his release Shot put you in a mend state and then chase you to down you end of story these people don't play as you do sorry to burst your bubble back to reality where not every player plays the same so again I and it seems that other people that have messaged in the discussion agree that him putting you in a mending state is worthless you're the 1% who feels different about Deathslingers mending aspect of the game that is solely your decision

  • I still get face camped but not as much today as before but proxy camping is just as bad. I don't understand why to play the game this way like don't you want to pip especially how the game has changed the way pipping works. Either learn to play the game without being a complete prick about it just play the game so that everyone wins even if you do end up killing them on the hook. Sometimes not gonna like I wish that the Ranking System would just be removed or replaced it's already broken as ######### anyway so why not. I'm always either getting paired up with low-rank and high-rank killers and survivors anyways just remove it that way no one can claim they are better at the game because of rank which is one of the problems with the killers they do this because of rank shoving in the faces of survivors who are lower ranked than them its the stupidest ######### ever seeing in the game but that's just me though

  • @C3Tooth said:

I had a rank3 Nemesis in Azarov hard tunnel Jill. David tried to body block and take a hit but couldnt extend the chase much. Jill DC after down the 2nd time. I & Meg finished 2 Gens.

Later Meg downed, David tried to unhook but Nemesis proxy camp. David downed, Meg gone to 2nd stage hook. I had to leave Gen with Ruin to unhook Meg. Somehow we managed to all stand up. Meg being targeted again. I & David leave the area to do 3rd Gen. Meg died. David got chased and down. I just give up not want to make a chase and just doing Gen. I downed.

Then he leaved both me & David bleed on ground to death while he punching zombie to tier up.

    Welcome to humanity.

Yea that is a complete ######### way to play the game IDK how long you have been playing but it was never this bad at all. Camping and Tunneling even straight-up Bodying you to bleed out is an awful way to play this game. I can slightly give Console players a pass on doing this because of lag issues they have with the game itself. I wish killers that do this kind of playstyle sickening like they can't do better to play against the odds of losing starts to make the game unfun and unfair to people that just want to do that even if they lose at least they lost fair but, the people of today playing this game just doesn't give a ######### and sadly they never will always looking at this game as a competitive game when it really isn't

    Have you ever played Deathslinger?

If you can count it on one hand, then you just don't know how to play against him. He can't hit you over pallet (unless it is super unsafe), so this way he gets at least something from it.

It is not good idea to remove slow-down from killer with already very weak map pressure.

Deathslinger doesn't often leave players to mend like Legion, but it is often correct play, when you know that you can't down them fast enough. This way he get at least some pressure from it.

Then you need to tell that to my last Deathslinger because he sure for ######### pressuring the hell out of the map I was on so to say that he has very weak map pressure isn't even valid since I've seen it done many times. Also to answer have I played him, yes to be honest I'm not the greatest with him but even knowing my own limitations against any killer I go against I can tell you that if the killer seems to have a hard time pressuring the players in the game that's because of the player playing the killer it all matters what perks you have on and the fact will it help you or not same with addons so him having the ability to shoot you with his gun and put you in a mending state is worthless for him as a killer and you as a survivor since you never get the chance to mend anyway since he will gun you down 90% of the time

  • Nice to know that I am not the only one that sees that is the most useless thing ever since no one like I said plays him like a long-range Legion which is how he is meant to be played
