I signed in as killer with over 680 hours and with best rank 1. BUt I didnt get a mail sadly, so dont know hard is was to get in as killer. Or maybe it was even for killer just random. Or the earlier bird got the worm^^

Well I signed up as soon as the announcement went out, so it's likely just pure luck.

Either way, I do hope I could possibly get some way to participate validly, but I don't think the devs are gonna accept me asking if I could get shot an email to participate. Tough tits I guess :L

I dunno! I'm guessing they did pick at random though, 'cause I have 37 hours and my highest rank is like... 15-18. If it makes you feel any better, it's not like the rest of us can get into it either with the issues right now c':

yeah, I've been seeing a lot of that

But only 37 hours? Wow, that's a huge surprise, I've clocked over 560, most of it pertaining to killer and getting to rank 1 with killer. If you ask me that's a little bit silly, but I suppose it's not to big a deal.

Bummed I missed out on a free reward, whatever it may be. Because to my knowledge rewards given out to a small fraction of people in the community tend to be some of the best/ rarest. Not unless they're just giving out auric cells.

Anyways, best of luck to you in the vanilla experiment whenever it's actually up and running C:

  • Holy, I was not aware this many people would be so against it, normally whenever I run the perk I get a ton of heat from it.

Guess just reworking the perk to be solely a massive speed buff doesn't cut it, eh? Fair enough then, just thought I'd throw out an idea for it.

Totems are objectives as well. You don't get to nerf a perk just because you're unwilling to do all your objectives and counter it.

Cleansing totems is not an objective. It's an optional thing you can do to hinder (or strengthen, if you're unlucky) the killer's abilities. That's why they're categorized as boldness and not objective, since objectives are anything that have to do with escaping and boldness being anything to do with interacting with the killer (including anything that may be useful to the killer, such as hooks, traps, and totems).

The perk isn't getting proposed to be nerfed, either, it's getting proposed to be reworked. To nerf it is just to make it less powerful altogether, like totally removing the exposed status effect. Reworking it would be changing the perk but having it still be useful to the killer and being more balanced.

The perk is unfun to go against and boring to use. I play more killer than anything and using this perk is little too unfair and boring in terms of gameplay. The speedboost barely makes a difference unless you have PWYF. That's why I suggest that it needs reworking, not nerfing.

it's fine as it is there are these dull totems you only have to do 5 of them, and you get BP for doing them.

As easy as that is on paper, not everybody thinks to cleanse the totems for NOED. Totems can be pretty difficult to find too depending on what map you're playing. NOED in its current state is a little too unfair to go up against since it punishes survivors too hard to doing the objective.

  • I for one would really love to see a theater mode for this game, it'd be really fun and would help to make videos, skits, and clips.

  • WGLF actually used to work exactly like that, having 50% extra BP per stack. For whatever reason it got nerfed to 25% per stack. I feel like this needs to be reverted since survivors don't get too many BP to begin with.

  • There actually exists a perk that works very similarly to this, it's called "Last Standing"

    image.png

Although the perk is only obtainable via illegitimate means and you're instantly banned as soon as you're caught using it, it goes unused and is pretty powerful as it also encourages selfish play by letting others die for your own benefit (although I don't see if that would be a genuine issue seeing as Sole Survivor exists).

    Trapper: Chuckles

That is 1-2 weeks IF they don’t fail it

I doubt 1-2 weeks. A few days sounds more like it.

It’s the certification process that is taking so long and the reason pc got it first is because steam doesn’t need a certification for the update but console does it can take up to two weeks depending on how Microsoft and sony handle it which sucks

That's a pretty fair explanation. Hoping pretty soon it will be out.

  • It's probably just some sort of error that they'll end up fixing relatively soon, I'm not sure what the hell they were doing when dealing with regional prices.

  • I have no idea what this devotion system is for. Perhaps one of these days they'll add something for it, but for now it's just to show off how much you've played.

No idea. Hopefully this week. Possibly next week.

I'm sure hoping it's sometime this week, they released the the past few updates on par with the PC, but this one won't be too much of a surprise for it's delay since it's got way more content. My best bet is that they're setting up the stores on consoles.

What, why though ? Thats not even a ''skin'' and that should not be the skin because every survivor has a secondary option in terms of shirts, if thats really the freaking skin that comes with it, then I want my money back and I ll earn the clown by playing, what a lousy ''exclusive skin''

To my knowledge, you can just refund the DLC within a certain timeframe. If you've played more than 2 hours with the DLC however, I don't think you'll be able to refund it.

  • I think the "exclusive skins" are the extra set of clothes that come with the survivors.

  • Well you'll also have to take in mind that they haven't completed all of the cosmetics, namely the exclusives from DLCs. it'll take time but they'll get around to it once they find the time, probably in the autumn patch or a bit sooner. Hopefully killers will get some items too, but I'm not keeping my hopes up.

  • A neat idea would probably be a very small sum of auric cells and loads of iridescent shards for the cosmetic shop, but an exclusive cosmetic would be cool to see as well.

I feel as if that the gas should interrupt actions, such as healing and repairing, until the effect wears off. It wouldn't make sense to be repairing a generator or healing wounds while coughing violently with blurred vision. Of course, this wouldn't effect vaulting, throwing down pallets, or hook rescues.

Problem is this wont really do anything considering most of the time you'll get hit by gas is when you're in a chase, so there's no point locking people out of healing/repairing.

Well I tend to throw bottles at generators to see if there are any survivors hiding behind them when i go to pick up a survivor so I know that the generator isn't being progressed while I carry somebody. So instead I'd have to chase them away from the gen when I know it's about to pop to make use of pop goes the weasel.

  • It would certainly make the perk much more viable for escaping sticky situations. It would also pair very well with "Dance with Me". They should create a status effect called "Stealth" for QnQ so for as long as the status effect is active, you make absolutely no noise with vaulting windows, lockers, or pallets. Would only last 4 seconds tho, similar to that of sprintburst, just without the exhaustion.

  • I like the idea of the stain being affected by blindness, it makes sense.

  • I can strongly disagree with that even when the killer spins in a circle they hit 100% of the time, even if they have auto-aim.
I can safely say that there is a slight auto-aim on the killers, but it has failed several times for me, making it look as if I should have hit the survivor, but this has been proven to be a bug where the last frame of the swing wouldn't count has a hit, and has been fixed in the PTB. However, just because a killer does a 360 while swinging doesn't mean he's guaranteed a hit, it just increases the odds if the survivor runs around them. If you managed to get hit while trying to 360 the killer, then the killer knows how to counter 360s. Saying the killer being able to hit survivors is op is a bit ridiculous if you ask me.

Over half of you are just babbling st each other saying extreme ideas, getting challenged, saying something rude, replied at with something rude, and repeating. This just shows how unreliable it is to trust what you said if you couldn’t take othet opinions on it.

I’m not gonna say who I’m talking about, or a suggestion, because I’m afraid I’ll get stabbed in a dark alley if I do.

People usually can't take criticism well when they think their right.

Btw, @BarpleBapkins just make Self-Care causes Exhaustion or apply some other status de-buff effect. Makes sense since you tending to your own wounds you should suffer a penalty for it.

Probably would be a better solution than reworking the perk entirely, but I still feel the need for it to be limited. I'd settle for this to see how it would work out, though.

  • @esn23 said:
NO JUST NO we already have first aid kits for that, also survivors take days to heal themselfs and killers usually can hear them healing and can kill them.. Also a lot of perks are catered around self care for killers nurses calling, the new clown perk etc... I totally agree with flashlight, and DS being changed or removed but leave self care alone and just get good.

It doesn't matter if it's slowed down by an incredible amount or if med kits are limited, self-care should not be an infinite use perk. Having slower healing speed doesn't matter once the killer ends up loosing you to chase somebody else or kick a gen, being able to heal whenever for an indefinite amount of times is just too powerful.

  • Myers is just too fun to play. Hands down one of the most unique powers and be it as simple as looking at people.
