Does anyone else think the new killer isn’t fun to “loop”?
You rarely even loop. It feels like you spend all the game out of chase trying to avoid the killers snipes.

Because you do. I mean, playing the judgment I just flat out don't chase. 99% of the time. I snipe, pick up, exile, repeat. Anyone in 10m range of me is in my weak zone, so I don't engage with them unless I have reason to try 360'ing them. Won't loop at all though.
everybody gets to loop this new killer you can't just have 1 guy doing a 5 gen chase vs this killer. everybody's gotta do their part.
it's something different. the same old gets boring.
Actually I find it a lot more fun. It's far more interactive than a lot of other killers with ranged abilities since it's a bit more telegraphed so the killer having horrible ping is not as impactful since they can only curve it so much.
They're certainly not fun to play in loops. Their power is absolutely worthless in chase so looping them must feel like the easiest thing in the world. If you don't find that fun, then, okay, fine. The killer isn't having a good time either. Those snipes are the only thing they can do that's worth doing.
The fix would be pretty easy too, just give them full control over where they can aim the beam as it moves out. If they could aim it back into themselves without having to do a super telegraphed 360 then they could actually do something with their power in chase.
Though I have mixed feelings about this killer, I personally don't love running around rocks the same way against everyone. Something different is fine.
Welcome to modern BHVR killer design.
Not everyone is going to like looping the new killer. That goes for any killer. Which is why we have variety.
I enjoyed looping the Judgment. Some of them don’t want to do normal chases and just try to snipe, but the ones that try to do normal chases are fun to loop.
I have played a lot of Judgment over the recent days, and I do happily engage with survivors, especially at close range.
Why? you ask?
To learn. To get better. And predicting movement is fun for me. Sometimes when you can clearly see the survivor, it's even easier and not at all "hard" to 360.
Also, many many do get hit by baiting the beam, a.k.a. just don't cast it / cancel it. The cooldown is very minimal and if they run towards you an easy hit.
I know not everyone plays this way, and it cost me some games - but remember, the long-range snipes will get rarer and rarer as survivors adapt.
Already I have to predict survivor leaving the gen in a direction when doing a snipe against higher MMR players - it's fun when you actually hit them!
They're kind of like Nurse in the respect that you end up playing a totally different game when versing them. I don't mind that, tbh. A bit more variety is a good thing and I enjoyed my one game against them so far.
That said, I imagine it might get a bit tiresome to face if they have their ruin up all game and you have to keep jumping off your gen every 15 seconds. Cleansing totems is not easy against this killer either and I have regular SoloQ games where a hex will stay up the entire game because nobody brought a perk to help find totems. I know the power is useful in chase, but long range sniping at gens is definitely going to be the main play style for most players.
They're tricky to master and not free with the base game like the Nurse, so I don't expect to face them very often after this week in the low MMR kiddie pool that I usually end up in.
This is why I believe she will excel in high MMR (high MMR people love to play high skill ceiling killers such as Nurse, Blight, and Henry).
I have had many chases with her, but I don't try to minimize other people's experience with her as I know I have a lot more hours than potentially the average person here.
On enjoyability, she has surpassed Nurse for me.
Nurse used to be my favorite person to loop, but it has went to Judgment > Nurse > Henry for me but I think that's mainly due to me having a certain looping style that's highly reliant on being unpredictable.
Sure, I can hug tiles easily but I prefer to mindgame and essentially play against things that I have to predict and they have to predict me. Another killer I enjoy in that subtype is Unknown, so for me she is fun to loop but I can understand people's grievances as she does snipe from afar due to how slow she actually is. This is why I have learned to love We See You, my only issue is that I get bored massively playing the same build over and over again as I like to play my different builds and not be stuck in a specific meta.
But I can understand where you are coming from, but because she fits the categories of what I find fun I just enjoy looping her as a whole.
Completely agreed.
I try to not like let my grievances against Wesker and Hillbilly drain my ability to loop them.
I don't care for them personally, but I know other people love facing them and they get surprised because they categorize them as "fun" but for me, a lot of Weskers and Hillbillies I face all sorta play the same (which is fine).
I have had so many times where I drop a pallet on Wesker and Wesker will still dash and hit me (I'm on the side of said dropped pallet, he's on the other side but it's whatever) along with Hillbilly who just rides your back 24/7 with their chainsaw (this is why I have a specific rule that when I play SoloQ, I'd rather just stay injured because I have seen so many Billies just excessively use their chainsaw to obtain a down and he's an instadown, so I just think healing (for me) is just a waste of time, I'll heal a random if they want it but personally I'll just play injured against Billy and pressure gens) - but I do not care for playing against them, I can loop them, but they do not scratch my brain in any way.
You're supposed to do Gens, dodge snipes and quit running hook Perksn no Sabotage builds and don't bring flashlights.
fun game!
There is no looping against a decent Judgement.
The flashlight part, is the one which always bothers me, it feels like the devs do everything in their power to make them really not enticing to use at all.
She kind of has the pyramid head issue where there was that ptb where his hits granted torment affliction allowing him to exclusively use cages.
1 guy looping an m1 killer all game while you sit on gens isn't fun either.
Trying to save that guy when they go down with a flashlight or Sabotage build can be fun but She ignores Hooks as well…
Womp womp.
Generators it is!
