Are we ever going to revert Myers?

Before his rework I feel he was in a good place where people liked him, current Myers isn't super fun to face coz of how easy he is to control and shred pallets with.

Is there any intention to revert or balance him? He used to be a killer I really was excited to play against, now he is kind of… jank and wierd.

Not the most helpful feedback but my friends who mained him are upset he is changed, and quite frankly I loved the rework before the turn changes, but I also really miss old myers.

  • Old Myers was problematic because of Tombstone Piece which was unfair and unfun, but without it he was usually considered C tier. New Myers is problematic because it takes extremely little to get Tier 3 so he's almost always in power, and he has an easier to charge Pig Ambush that one shots and eats through pallets, creating a boring counterplay of just feeding him pallets until you run out of resources. He's definitely better than before, but it's just boring. I was taking a long break from the game when the rework came out so I'm not sure what the turn changes were, but I think for how lazy his rework was he needs another one unfortunately T_T and that's probably not going to happen for a long time.

Myers is no longer part of DBD. So no further adjustments will be mostly done to him.

No, and expect other killers to get similar changes in the future, to bring them more to the current level of game. Trapper will be able to dash with his trap open, and if it lands it will down survivor right away, or break a pallet. xdd

I mean this is a joke, but I am afraid it's not far from truth. It can't be denied, Myers is much stronger than before, but now it's not only playing against him, it's also playing him that became a boring bulldozer simulator

Basically he has really good control over his lunge now that it basically forces a pallet drop.

I feel like his t3 could be made harder to get or like, faster to deplete just to tune him. Because it's really not healthy. I'm pretty sure he has better control than pig and chuckie as well

not true demo got changes well after stranger things left dbd.

I agree the glowing knife and dash is super corny and boring to me top 3 most boring killer to face in dbd right now.

  • I Hope so… I don't play killer as much as I play survivor but I tend to favor the killers I do play for fun rather than for how high they are on the skill tree. Old Myers was if nothing else, himself. new myers is soulless, has nothing to do with the design of the character except for a myers skin on a dash and slash merchant, and unrewarding.

It doesn't even look like he was given a proper animation to dash its just here comes the base kit Coup De Grace man.

Old Myers was one of my favorite parts of this game, win or lose.

Yeah I mean I'm pretty sure they just repurposed the old T3 animation of him looking at his knife for him charging his dash, and then the dash is basically just a long regular lunge lmao

  • I'd rather they made Fragrant Tuft of Hair add-on basekit and made Slaughtering Strike the effect for the Fragrant Tuft of Hair add-on instead.

Old Myers was hard carried by his old tombstone add-on, he could not revert back to tier 1, he had to waste so much time stalking Survivors and if he ran out of stalk juice on all Survivors, he was straight up without any power.

Doing a full revert of Myers' rework is not a solution nor a good idea in of itself. At least now he has much better add-on variety than compared to before, not to mention that he is now able to switch back and forth between tier 1 & 2 at will.

  • i jokingly call him tall strong pig for a reason.

I used to play him a lot, but i don’t want to use him without fragrant tuft of hair, but because of how crap the blood web is i don’t want to invest thousands of bp to play him a single time.mso now i don’t play him at all.

His dash is too simple to use, there is no skill required so it isn’t rewarding at all for me. I also don’t think it was a good idea to make him able to shred pallets.

I do like being able to switch between t1 and t2 though.

Thats the parts I like about the rework too, from the sounds of it he could easily remain strong but be made a bit more fun to play against also.

Some of my friends just call him better Chuckie lol

The t1/2 switching is so funny for being jumpscared too, that's the bit I like the most

  • I would seriously hope so. Myers' rework had to be one of the worst reworks they have ever done. Yeah he is stronger now but in exchange they completely ruined his identity and all the unique gameplay around him.

Stalking feels like a joke due to how easy it is to build up. When playing against Myers most of the time trying to avoid stalk feels pointless since he gets it basically instantly. When playing as Myers I don't even feel like I have to hide my approaches anymore like before to get good stalking angles, just need to walk up to them like any other killer and with a small amount of chase time I can just instant down them.

As a result he is probably one of the most boring killers to play as and against right now. Sure he is stronger but I'd rather have a killer that is fun to play than strong.

BHVR should fully revert Myers to his previous state, and then make the following changes.

    • Remove Tombstone Piece add-on and make it function like the rework Myers for those who enjoyed it. This removes the broken aspect of Tombstone while appeasing those who like the rework.
    • Make it so Myers cannot run out of stalk.
    • Make it so survivors cannot be Tombstoned when having the Endurance status effect. If Myers tries to Tombstone and the survivor has Endurance, then he swings instead and hits the survivors, putting the survivor into Deep Wound. This swing animation would have the same cooldown as a regular attack. This means Tombstone has counterplay. As a result:
      • Survivors cannot be camped and moried off hook.
      • Survivors can Dead Hard Tombstone if they time it right. This would give them a bit of extra time to try abd reach a interactable object in order to force a hook, as is the standard counterplay.
    • Make it so that a survivor has to have at least X amount of stalk in order to be Tombstoned
      • This means a survivor cannot get surprised Tombstoned out of nowhere due to another survivor feeding him stalk. The amount of X is up to discussion and balance. I'd go with maybe 30-40% but I can see even 90-100% being fine as well.

This would bring back old Myers while also removing the aspects of old Myers that some survivors and Myers players did not like. It would provide a good baseline and then BHVR could give future QoL buffs going forward and not just completely rework him.

True, but he got add on pass, not power tweaks.
