Why chucky is so bad?

Now chucky is the worst killer in the game (Trapper is better because he is 4,6). Chucky has useless ability for 2,5 seconds with couldawn 12 seconds. The ability is unconrolled and very easy for target. Ability looks like deomorgan's ability but he 4,6 and ability hasnt couldown. WHY CHUCKY IS 4,4?????????? HE ABSOLUTLY CANT CONTROLL A MAP. if would like talk about the scamper - shut up, because the scamper is nerfed to vegetable ability because survivors were crying.

So, what we have now…… 4,4 killer without ability.

Oh yes, survivors gonna be vote down, because they are happy when in game plenty of useless killers. I hope that soon in the game will be play just survivors against survivors because killer will gone in another normal game, like me (Sorry for my english)

If u do game survivor side - play just against survivirors.

Im intresting, for survivors its really very good to play against weak killers?

ive made survivor tag for see how they be cry to true

oh, there are in this game doesn't everything so easy. I can also use my second account and with family library play against noobs low MMR, but on high MMR everybody know how Chucky's ability target'targets and loop him

If I recall the devs say it's because of how small he is, plus the scamper/slice and dice mobility. I'm not telling you, you are wrong and they don't need help, I was just trying to help you out.

SI'm sorry if I'm rude, but in this game it's always the case that a maniac is simply killed because of the whining of the survivors, and then they're surprised that no one is playing it.

Correct, Chucky has a smaller Hitbox compared to other Killers and is therefore 4,4 m/s. He simply can run Loops tighter.

You might actually get more information instead of just saying that Survivors are crying. Scamper was a really unbalanced and unhealthy part of Chuckys kit, since you just follow the Survivor until they have to drop a Pallet and then you scamper right under it for a free hit. 0 Skill involved and 0 Skill expression from either side.

Do you understand what a Hitbox is? The Hitbox is the body of the Killer. Chuckys Hitbox is not as big as the Hitbox of any other Killer, so he can run Loops tighter, since he can hug the walls better.

  • Look man, I think this might be the 6th post I've seen of you echoing the same thing, and a lot of the time there are plenty of people trying to be helpful or giving you very valid points, sometimes even that the developers said. If you look up almost any 10000 hour content creator's killer tier list, he is never even close to as low as Trapper. Chucky already does really well in low MMR lobbies because new survivors find it hard not being able to see him over loops, so seeing that even the extremely skilled players in the community think he's still pretty decent means something. Like @Rokku_Rorru suggested, there are extremely skilled Chucky players that can get a lot done, and if you're passionate about Chucky, you should be glad that so much is possible on him compared to someone who is a modern Skull Merchant main.

If nothing convinces you that at least Chucky isn't that bad (not even if he needs buffs or not), then I think you probably just made up your mind with no flexibility to change it and you've built up a brick wall. I'm a Springtrap main, who usually ends up in a similar spot to Chucky on tier lists. Do I think he could use buffs? He could be buffed a bit, I wouldn't complain. Am I happy with where he is, and at the very least that he isn't as weak as Skull Merchant, Trapper or Ghost Face? Yes I am. If you find yourself struggling with these low tier killers and find yourself feeling extremely weak on Chucky, I'm not sure but maybe you are on the newer side. In which case I think your opinions will shift a lot as you play, and look up guides and watch content.

to argue for skill expression when so much of what you do has nothing to do with skill or very little to do with skill is not a compelling argument the way that skill expression in a game like call of duty for example is more important because the game to my knowledge does not heavily rely on non skill related mechanics and perks.

The game should be balanced primarily on what is enjoyable and ROUGHLY balanced as its an asymn, it should not be based on skill unless you remove the literal 85-90% of the game that skill is irrelevant to

i dont play on Low mmr against noobs. Scamper is useless, because it can be targetted by just one turn. About your mention ghost face, yes he is better because his ability doesnt useless and he is 4,6. Tierlists are people's mention. So, if your main is spingtrap, would you like to delete his teleport doors? Guy, just campere Chucky and Blight. Couldown of ability is roughly the same, but at the same time, the blight was at 4.6 for the most part.

You have no way of knowing what MMR you are in, BHVR has provided zero way to tell. So you might think you're in high MMR when you're really not, and I think this is definitely the case if you think Ghost Face is better than Chucky or even good. How many hours do you have? Ghost Face has zero chase power, zero mobility, zero map presence, and zero info. His best chance is taking survivors by surprise, but in higher MMR it's way harder to be able to not only stalk a survivor without them knowing but even more so actually get close enough to down them.

Killers can also be at a decent power level without being 4.6. Huntress, Deathslinger, to some extent Jason and Springtrap are all 4.4m/s. Heck, Blight is 4.4 and Nurse is 3.85, and they're the two strongest killers in the game. Funnily enough, you're using the fact that Blight used to be 4.6 as an argument for Chucky being 4.6, but Blight got nerfed to 4.4 because he was too strong. And using Blight as a benchmark is flawed from the start, as not only does the community agree he is an S tier killer, the devs have also stated that at some point there will be a phase 2 to his nerfs.

In addition, yes, tierlists are people's opinions. However, when you look at people's tierlists it's not like some people think he's A tier and some people say he's F tier. He's very consistently ranked middle of the pack by the majority of the community, and although that's people's "opinion," when veterans of the game all somewhat agree on how strong a killer is it has some weight to it. You might think that Ghost Face is better than Chucky, but it seems pretty much the entire community disagrees, with Ghost Face always being leagues lower on the tier list.

If you're comparing how they made Chucky's scamper only work in Slice N Dice to entirely removing Springtrap's doors,

    1. They did not remove scamper, just put an actual condition on it rather than having it be available at all times with zero effort
    2. These powers are not even remotely the same, the only way you can compare them is if Springtrap's doors instantly guaranteed him a hit, which it doesn't because it is just a map mobility ability
    3. If you played any survivor around when Chucky released, you would not be protesting the change to his scamper. It instantly made him one of the strongest killers in the game, but required zero thought or skill and provided zero counterplay

I have in one of your previous posts, as have many, many other people.

    1. He is small and hard to see around loops, which gives him an inherent advantage in chases that other killers don't have
    2. His collision box is skinnier than other killers, allowing him to loop tighter. So although crossing the map he is 4.4 through and through, in loops he feels closer to 4.6 than you'd think.

These reasons and probably others have been suggested to you many times before, but you ignore them and then you will ask the same question to the same people (like you are now) or to every new person even though you've gotten the answer.

Small size is far from an advantage. On an open map, you only need to keep an eye on the Killer occasionally. The Huntress has that speed because she has a ranged attack, and Springtrap has it because he can pass through doors—but Chucky has it just because of his short stature? Sure, and Ghost Face can play around his tactics while also being short. The decent Survivors I play against just abuse window loops during chases—that’s it. (To be fair, Survivors do this against any 4.4 m/s Killer, but others can land a hit with their ability; Chucky can't.) Tell me, how am I supposed to control the map when the Killer moves at 4.4 m/s? Am I supposed to scare them with my short height? And I’ll say it again: short stature and the lack of a red stain are NOT valid arguments! I can equip the perk that removes the red glow on any killer—but then how am I actually supposed to control the generators?

And this is just the case if we keep lose/lose-situations in the game. Because there is nothing the Survivor can do with old Scamper, they can either not drop the Pallet and get hit or drop the Pallet, Chucky scampers under it and then they get hit.

And it is not that this requires any effort from the Chucky player at all.

  • I dont like to return it. But it was only one type of moving for this killer. He was 4,4 because he could fast go to pallet or window. They could do it like mastermind dash but they just deleted. Now he is 4,4 without any type of moving. @Aven_Fallen

my issue with the skill talking point isnt really about chucky, its more broad. it sounds to me like the change was well deserved but i dont think i would make the argument about skill expression because if we justify what is or isnt allowed due to skill expression then we cant turn a blind eye to what doesnt cause skill which is most of the game.

or i can beat a surv at a loop but if im watching them throught eh wall to win the mindgame and get the down, it kind of takes away the skill aspect of achieving the down because both i and or the surv used game cheats or perks to escape or win the situation.

there are a few aspects of the game that skill expression does come out in some minor layers like looping but every layer is diluted and interferes with whatever skill is expressed and it can be impressive but at the end of the day all of us are playing with game legal cheats to make everything we do require less kill to accomplish, not more

My pretnsion about chucky its just that he cant controll map when he is 4,4.

  • most killers cant control the whole map nor are slower or stealth killers supposed to be able to do that, that for the mobility characters. they are not all supposed to be everywhere at once. in part, thats why chuckies footsteps exist in the first place

But this is reason why they dont 4,4, because they cant control the map. What about chucky? And somewho talks that he good in loops, but his ability can be targetted by one jump to window or pallet (coulown 12 seconds) and has speed just 200% for 2,5 seconds (Survivors perks 150% for 3 seconds) There are 4,4 killer without normal ability.

  • I have not bought chucky, so i do not have personal experience with him but i have played almost every killer in the roster minus like 5 as well as all the other 4.4 and remamber that 4.4 and 4.6 is literally a 5% difference. if your 4.6 your only saving a couple seconds on a cross map transit as opposed to 4.4.

so if you have no map control i doubt its due to the character per se and more on how your playing the map/character.

you never need to control an entire map anyways and with slower killers or non mob, again your not supposed to try and control the whole map because thats now how the killer is meant to play.

wraith is meant to be able to control the whole map. wesker, springtrap ect.

trapper, clown, chuckie ect are not meant for that, they are a different style of killer (granted in my example clown can pmap control well with his haste bottles and good map

TThe fact is that Yi's ability is weak and he doesn't The fact is that Yi's ability is weak and he cannot move through the generators. In fact, 4.4 without the ability

i mean all 4.4 killers are 4.4 when not using their ability. not sure what your trying to say.

wraith is built to be able to patroll the whole map and all generators pretty easy. thats part of how to play wraith. chucky isnt designed that way. you arent supposed to be able to control the map the same way or keep on top of all generators. i think your too focused on trying to use him in a way hes not meant to be used.

I'm mean that one survivor perk=killer ability. He should be 4,6 because it's one way for have good gameplay. Chucky can't do fast chase and can't control the map. There are one meme that his ability can be targeted by one window and de-facto useless. So, u talked that 5% it's small. 4.0 and 4,4 there are 5% dThe differencedifference. He is very weakweak. I dondon't need ever generator but I need speed for move in map , isn't it?

Look, you start a match and a chase with a survivor begins; Chucky almost catches them with an ability, but the survivor just ducks into a structure where Chucky can't land a hit. Now Chucky is a 4.4 m/s "potato" stuck vaulting windows after the survivor for a minute or two—great, right? And generator control is a crucial part of the game. I need to have *some* way to move quickly or make plays across the map to win. Otherwise, the usual scenario plays out: one survivor loops me for a minute, three gens get done, and I’m left having to start the whole process over again.

they would have to remove his stealth aspect to make him 4.6.

but as long as stelth is part of his kit his speed will presumably (idk if it would be too oppressive at 4.6 but im certain thats the design reason) be 4.4 not 4.6

What's wrong with it being 4.6? Does he have such a strong ability? Once every 12 seconds, which is better not to use, or strong stealth???? If I play from stealth and not from chases, then the generators will start at the speed of light. What's going to bother you with it at 4.6? wWhat's wrong with it that it can't be 4,6? Is he too strstrongstrstrongongong with an ability of 3 seconds? Or maybe stealth is such a good mechanic
