Please Silence The Chorus of Cringe
The Judgement is possibly the most obvious case of a unique character ruined by horribly underwhelming and unnecessary voice lines. Nothing about them makes the character feel like a divine or spiritual being. It really just gives off whining spider teen girl boss.
Aurora is equally distasteful showing zero grace or wisdom.
I pray this chapter releases with a voice line Toggle because I am already dreading the droning monologues of characters that better belonged in a modern Marvel movie.
No disrespect to the voice actors, obviously someone wanted this to happen, but for me this is yet another skippable chapter that pulls me further away from the DbD experience.
Please. I am asking seriously, urgently, and tactfully. Implement a voice line Toggle and let me disable this content. Let other players enjoy it if they can.

Fully agreed. I dont even know why the Devs ignore this topic. It would be a complete win to bring a Voiceline Toggle to the game, people who enjoy voicelines can still enjoy them, people who dont enjoy them are not annoyed by them.
i think their voice lines are cool but i totally agree about the toggle
Tbh I'm more sad about the perks. There were interesting ideas but the devs just don't have the will to make anything interesting.
Would be nice if that could include things like hook screaming.

Yess I love Laura rift skin we got but can only take so many games of her screaming AWOAH, NO NO NO at start of chase.
I personally am a big fan of voicelines, but I see why a toggle would be a good option. I'm all for it.

That's why I don't play Lara - even tho I think she is amazing character look-wise.
I would like this to work separately on every character - I enjoy Rick's and Eleven's voicelines but I hate Lara's, Steve, Nancy.
What triggers me the most is the "Put me down"-voiceline when picked up. This sounds so bad, this sounds like someone complaining when their friend picks them up and not someone who is about to be hooked.
Yes, the ideal scenario would be to have it for every Character. E.g. I enjoy Wesker or Unknown quite a bit, especially Unknown has amazing voicelines. But I dont like many other characters and so I would wish a Toggle.
I would not mind if it is an universal Toggle for the start, this would already help a lot. Especially if we consider that older characters will get voicelines as well.
I truly love voicelines in games especially this one so I would never want to see them removed however, I do think it wouldn’t hurt anything or anyone to have a toggle option as mentioned above so if you didn’t want to hear them you didn’t have to.
totally agreed. you shouldn't add voice lines to a deity or a god, they're literally supposed to be like unfathomable, not a cool girl bossy thing.
I agree a voice toggle would be a really nice option to have. Cause sometimes certain voices are hard to hear and can be too loud.
They need to add a voice line toggle, especially if they are going to add new voice lines to older killers and survivors. After playing Meg all these years, the last thing I want is for them to add some random voice to her. It would just feel unnatural. BHVR also better not redo their screams and injury sounds like they did for Steve.
Voice line toggle just makes sense at this point. It lets people play characters they like without having to worry about how they sound. A toggle to shut ghoul up would be so nice for example.
that is what im worried about, i seriously would not be surprised if when older survivors get voice lines bhvr will still not give an option to toggle them off
Yeah it would have to be that way, you'd hope. I couldn't imagine playing Henry without voicelines but if they add them to my survivors and I can't turn them off I'll cry.
I thought it was a bit strange that The Judgment has the exact same voice line as Henry - "I am inevitable"
I don't mind voice lines as they are now, and it's a nice touch when your survivors talk to each other.
However, when they are adding voice lines to the OG survivors, I want to be able to turn those off. And if they replace the screams and other sounds like they did with Steve, I am not sure I could even play anymore.
I think this is not unlikely. Which is why I am wondering why people want voicelines for OG characters. It is very likely that the voice actors are not around anymore (some voices were recorded 10 years ago), so we will probably see new voices for old characters. And this was already very unpopular with Steve, his pickrate dropped to basically 0, he is one of the rarest Survivors I encounter nowadays.
best they might do is like rick and daryl situation and then i would defiantly need a toggle, the mixed voicelines/grunts for those 2 is outrageous
