jason rework concept

so far jason is springtrap with a better movement ability and is 4.4. in the movies hes known as an improviser, someone who just takes a random thing and kills people with, so for a rework i think he should do crafting. everytime you break a pallet, you get parts to build a harpoon and it replaces your base weapon, you cant down people by m1ing with the harpoon, it only puts survivors into deep wound, but you can down people with the m2, it works as the projectile we already have but you can m1 with it. or there could be scraps around the map to make different weapons, like one that would have a short weapon wipe but a bad lunge or one thats the opposite of that, good lunge bad weapon wipe, and maybe even take inspiration off freddy, whenever someone is done healing jason can teleport fifty meters away from the healing location but gets undetectable for thirty seconds, and make him 4.6. i think this is a good rework but tell me what you guys think of my concept.

  • They arnt gonna rework a killer that JUST came out

  • This content has been removed.
  • If you want a killer with a bunch of weapons just wait for Art cuz that's probably not too far off what we'll probably get for him.

  • @LordGlint im not trying to get a rework right now, but i've made this post either way to share my thoughts and maybe in a few years behavior can pull this out of their dusty bin of old posts from the forum and take inspiration from it

I still dont see this particular idea working since you tied it to used pallets. He'd have the weakest start in the game, even worse than Oni since he'd both not have his power AND be 4.4. Even after ppl toss a pallet, which is something they'll hold off on doing... You get 1 use of your power per pallet loop for the entire game? Thats going to feel TERRIBLE on alot of the main buildings where people would just loop you endlessly without relying on pallets. Garden of Joy for example would be completely unplayable for a 4.4 without a power.

  • He doesn't need a rework. If you're upset that he's too powerful then wait like a month until people get better at dealing with him or he gets slightly nerfed again. If you're upset that he doesn't live up the fantasy of the character, then join the club with practically every other licensed Killer.

I mean they nerfed him barely a month after release to get survivors to stop whining.

I wouldn't put it past the devs to give him special treatment and rework him.

They tweeked the numbers on afew addons and buffed him by adjusting his anti-camp measure to not work on multiple floors. He's definitely not WEAKER than he was on release.

They nerfed Sauna Rock and Party Noisemaker, he is definitely weaker now.

The amount of bad takes on this forum is unreal.

Like I said, they had a numbers tweek. Some addons were nerfed, some buffed. Party noise maker got BUFFED, not nerfed… I've been playing him aton and its VERY rare for the gens to get done.

Good job, that tells us nothing.

Better? This is the addon you mistakenly thought was nerfed.

The amount of people who only focus on selective things to prove their point is unreal. You cannot just look at the Nerfs he got and ignore what got better on him.

    @Topic:

Jason does not need a Rework and he certainly wont get one this early after Release. However, he deserves some change, like:

    • A Cooldown on how often he can reload on Hooks. There are many Hooks on the Maps (which is a good thing), but considering that there are also the crates, there are too many Hooks for him as a ressource, especially if he can just reload in chase without losing distance
    • His Haste needs to be drastically reduced, it does not make sense to have him on 4,4 m/s, when this is only the value on Paper and he is on 4,6 m/s all the time.

Those are things which might need some testing. But those are things which could have happened yesterday without issue:

    • Remove all those extra Teleport Spots he has on the Maps. I dont know why spots where no Pallet has spawned need to have some rubble he can teleport to. There are more than enough spots for him to appear basically anywhere.
    • Remove his ability to see Totems being cleansed. Yes, TOTH is getting nerfed, but this wont change his most obnoxious Build. Obviously depends on what they do when they actually rework TOTH, but I think that side objectives should not be made too hard, so IMO the ability to see Totems being cleansed can go away.

Uh you absolutely can when you realize how important exhaust is and why it was highly sought after.

The amount of people trying to downplay the real issues is the problem here.

  • Alright you got me there.

That doesn't change reality he still got hit with nerfs, and significant ones at that.

Only 1 addon got a nerf significantl enough to change anything and that was Sauna rock. Anyone with a working brain could've seen that coming since exhaustion doesnt go down while survivors are running, so 13 seconds of it guaranteed you never saw an exhaustion perk get used ever. Considering the basekit buff he got, as well as the buffs to his other addons... I think overall he came out on top.

They buffed what I would consider his best addon, lol
