Why is Killer Spectate still not a thing?
I can imagine a casual mode where the Killer can actually be spectated, to see the other's perspective more in your own round. Killer is so isolated, no wonder it leads to toxcicity in the community.
There are more than enough players to support a ranked mode which doubles killer places first of all.
Also survivor only players may learn more about how a killer sees the game without playing themselves. Sometimes I think Killer and Survivor are two separate games of the same Dev

In customs, spectators can watch the Killer's PoV.
The answer to this seems obvious: dead players can tell their teammates what the killer is doing. It's the same reason they can't even see the killers perks. This could only work with a playback option.
I mean in CS2/CS:GO you have this casual mode yet it has tournament worthy matches
But you only play customs with people you already know. You would never ask the killer to be your Steam Friend to play KYF together. The Killer is isolated in this game. You can spectate your other survivors, the game is advertized to be a multiplayer game, together with others, but the Killer is mostly alone. There is endgame chat, but that's after the matcvh when you spectated your TEAM, while you never spectated that one isolated 5th player in the group, who once hosted the game until 2019
The only thing this would cause is survivors giving callouts of killer perks and actions. Someone watching the killer wouldn't change the killer experience and make them feel their part of a group all of a sudden.
I just mean I made more friends to actually play KYF with in CSGO than in DbD and I started both at the same time 10 years ago with this game. And I realized how I never play KYF, always SoloQ
Having the Killer be able to be spectated would be something we would not do, it would make matches incredibly one sided - killer has NOED, the dead survivor is going to call that out to their team mates. Its not something that could work in an asymetrical game.
Does CSGO let you spectate the other team after you die while the match is still ongoing?
I was in 2 friend groups throughout childhood and they came from CSGO but also got me into Dead by Daylight. I eventually stopped playing CS:GO with 700h, while I now have about 4500 in 10 years since the 15th for me. I never really got into any groups that played more than SWF. Noone was the Killer because the Killer was alone in a Multiplayer Game
It does in casual. Not in Ranked game modes. But it is so much more social
It'd be nice if there was a global spectate feature where you could watch random games, full anonymous mode and all five player POV's.
I hate that the only way to watch gameplay of this game is to watch content creators. It's annoying.
It would actually be super cool if you could spectate random matches. I'd totally toss that on in the background and see how other people respond to things. Would be a great learning tool.
I would support it. But then again, who would actually play the game at that point?
If I have time to play, I play. I'd only really use this when I'm at work or something. Just pop into a couple matches while I'm on lunch.
Spectate like the rest of us. YouTube and Twitch
And not having to watch people who play the game for a living would help set more realistic expectations for people too
Depends on who you're watching. While yes, lots of streamers are REALLY good, you also have plenty that are average at best.
