Generator repair time and survivors not being scared of the killers/Looping is a problem for new pl

Most games last 4 minutes against good players and there's just nothing you can do about it, there's no point in trying out new Killers when the match is 4 minutes long and they're also supposed to hide from the killers and not run around the killer like a monkey, there's no point playing killers when you get looped this looping shouldn't exist at all i expect a lot of hate from this post but this is how the game looks like i want to fell real terro when i face the killers and not just running around and fixing gens imidieatly

  • English is also my third language so sorry for the grammar

  • wdym? game is killer sided, so if you don't get 4k each match then it's a problem that devs should solve? literally killer handholding post

  • Try playing Survivor sometime and be part of the "winning" side. 😁

You need to learn how to read mate i am playing the survivor

  • I do not have a problem with not having 4K i just said its too fast and the looping does not belong and the gens need longer repair time

  • So we are to just run forward and give the killer 2 hits or stand there and give the killer 2 hits? You really think the game would survive if looping was not a thing? I cant believe how delusional some people can be.

Again not what i said i said that its a problem that good players can abuse to the end of times it should be more like hide and seek and again i am the survivor in this scenario and when it comes to looping there should be some way to limit it some loops are harm free

  • Learn proper grammar and actually punctuate your sentences so that people can actually read them.

Don't be insensitive, they said English is not their first language.

That said, Looping is part of the game. Please learn how to handle it, OP. I'm going to assume you're new to the game, but Looping is how Survivors show skill. It's not going anywhere, I'm sorry.

And gen time is not the problem. Certain toolboxes being too strong are.

Its really easy to loop that is the problem and harm free on some maps and i think there should be some thing like for example limited stamina for the survivors or some thing like that so that good players cant abuse it for long

Actually that's what dbd was supposed to be at first: you should hide from the killer as good as possible and fixing gens at the same time, palettes were supposed to be your last way to safe yourself. After a while people found out it's possible to loop killers on palettes and windows and after the devs saw how much fun people had with it, they changed their plan for the game to be chase- rather than hidebased (At least that's how I heard it, I didn't play at this time to confirm it nor did I actually tried to look it up into detail).

Long story short, there's nothing worse than hiding people. I rather have 4 minute games (already an overstatement in 90% of cases) with something to do (trying to get better at chasing) than searching 20 minutes for some people in a bush. I already hate it in endgame and I hate it even more in the early- to midgame, there's a reason I like to play aggressiv killers more than stealth xD

There's already plenty of mechanics in place to keep Survivors from looping too long: Killers gain bloodlust, pallets get broken, windows get blocked after vaulting it so many times in chase, etc.

I would be happy with a gamemode no need to change the whole game i understand why looping exist and that some killers are weak at loops and some are better i play the stealth killers a lot so yea its personal prefrance that it would be more hide and seek like and i never really had problem with survivors hiding in a bush bc most survivors got some ridiculus skins that give zou away in a bush

  • True but the bloodlust fell little weak and then again some perks and stuff like that are to blame as well some are just down right pay to win for both sides in my Op

I don't even have much of a problem of finding people hiding, it's just increadible tedious and boring. I feel like this gamemode would be increadible unpopular among killers and popular among survivor, so the queues will be ages probably xD

Looping Isnt the problem - gen speed is. Looping is fun because it takes at least some sort of skill to perform. Generators is just holding a button, and it's pretty silly you can finish a gen within 30 seconds these days. Usually killers lose 3 gens by the time they get their first hook.

i agree maybe gens need to be dealt with again but it should be by making it so you can't have them go too fast or too slow. they fixed it with killers stacing gen perks now they should fix it for survivor. its too easy to push gen speed rly high right now and thats usuly due to a toolbox and some perks stacked and its also why killers might think they have to bring lots of gen perks still. maybe standard speeds and charges for toolboxes like they did to medkits is the solution? it cant hurt to try.

You sure can loop killers the problem is that its to easy and to safe to do that on some maps its easy win and the gen repair speed is just wrong too fast too easy i would like to se that survivors should first find some items to repair the gen

Granted, various MMR levels will have different experiences. The lower end MMR bracket has killers absolutely stomping. Mid MMR it's roughly balanced, and high MMR survivors have a lot of control over the killer. At high MMR, a match loss or win usually comes down to the amount of mistakes survivors make or do not make. Perfectly played survivors are unstoppable. Perfectly played killers can still lose. High MMR, it's all about capitalizing on survivor mistakes, but very experienced survivors make very little of those. That's why you can find survivor SWF groups who have 200+ wins in a row.

The exception is solo queue which naturally is in a weaker position vs killer than being in a SWF group. Additionally, nurse\blight is strong enough to even cause trouble for very experienced killers - those two killers are just genuinely broken, imho.

I agree with all you just said and i think that some killers are just unplayable in high MMR when the survivors are SWF group i jsut give up at that point

  • If you have 4 minute games and want more nerfs to survivors I want to see game play 10 games in a row time stamped. Should be done in the next 24 hrs or I'll consider this post as you are trolling and topic should be closed.

I think you need to consider a high MMR killer actually sweating on nurse or blight they will always win if we are talking about the highest skilled killers vs survivor. IDK why everyone suggests that when if you simply watch twitch you'll see it. It will be clear as day. I do no include DBD comp because of perk and add on bans. Comp doesn't reflect the way most play the game. Suggestions like the one you have made is why the game is in the state it's in . I'd say low MMR survivors get stomped mid get stomped but still do a few gens and high can win but struggle to do so if the killer is going all out playing the most reliable perks to get the win which most don't. I watched Tofu's Oni streak to 100. Oni isn't even a S tier killer according to him and he only faced a team that somewhat scared him a little 1 out of every 15 matches. I think of killers like Lilith omen's blight. Who can beat that? If he is absolutely wants to win? 1 out of 15 survivor teams has a chance. These are the highest MMR players playing. I'd say it's the opposite killer>survivor. Just did a little research highest survivor win streak end a month ago at 173 and highest killer win streak is a blight with 1947 wins this is complete opposite ends of a spectrum.

That is true as well but i do not have the time energy and patience to have MMR through the roof i am just a casual player so yeah i will just have to get used to getting my ahh beat

i woulnd't say that game is sided, maps are for sure but game itself?? naah. i played as solo surv, i played with 1,2 or 3 friends, i played as killer and i only see that maps are sided. i very often lose games wih max 2 kills as killer on closed maps but i often get 4k on open maps. the real problem is with matchmaking. after literally few games on killer i bought doctor. i played with games ( 0 skill so i lost or got 2-3 kills) and since then game wants me to play against full team of tryhards with most irritating builds, body blocking, sabotagin hooks, mines, grenades, flashlight saves etc. BUT when i play legion (oh god i hate this killer) i don't remember getting less than 3 kills, mostly 4 kills without slugging for 4k. matchaking is making you feel like the game is sided. i got same treatment as solo surv, almost every game against very skilled killer often with aura reading or gen regressing builds.

I think you may have completely misread my comment. I said the exception is nurse and blight which always overperforms at high mmr and needs to be nerfed. That's also why it's almost always those two at high mmr and especially competitions since the other killers become less and less viable at high mmr.

So I wanna compare this game to Evolve which is where my mentality comes from having played it from 2015-2021 and playing in it's comp scene. In terms of "balance" it is as the exact same. Same senerio at it's core Solo Q vs having a team (SWF). Perks and everything. Even right down to it's monster. In the world on Evolve Elder kraken would be the blight or nurse of Evolve .You wanna know what determined the true balance of that game and is the end balance of DBD it is the effort put into the game you could not consider yourself to understand the "balance" until at least minimum 2-3 years of playing a single role (mine was support) and having teammates that understood their role the same way even then the perfect monster player understands their role(monster and killer learn to play good much faster than it takes a true team that's able to win). It became a game of who makes the first mistake. I don't think the way DBD is and it's also the way Evolve was nobody wants to put in that kind of time but DBD is still a game that people love playing just because of what the game is where Evolve had it issues most time being referred to as a running simulator. It's those people who don't understand how roles worked on Evolve unfortunately. All in all how long does it take to truly understand this game? I've played it on and off since it's release and I know I don't. I feel like I'm leaving out so much. I guess my conclusion is on both games you have to be extremely dedicated to be the player you think you are as much could be said for any asymmetrical game who really knows? It a different genre so far not smiled upon. The answer on Evolve was and I was part of the forums there too if Solo Q is such a big problem then find people to play and practice with it's a overall easy answer for the devs and makes the most sense. It will be more fun than solo q and you'll probably get a few more wins. DBD has the tool (custom game) to improve.

DBD is definitely a "mistakes lose the match" kind of game. Perfectly played survivors are going to win. Perfectly played killere can still lose. The match at high mmr always comes down to the amount of mistakes the survivors make and the killer's ability to capitalize on them. Survivors have all the tools in the world to guarantee wins, but it's difficult to make perfect plays consistently. That's why we see some SWFs ha ing 200+ wins in a row - some survivors are just that good at the game. The reality is, the game really is survivor sided, but how easy it is to make mistakes as a survivor is what makes the game playable as a killer. While it's easy to say skill issue, the amount of knowledge and experience it takes to always win is so great, that it's not realistic for any average survivor to ever win consistently. Buffing survivors definitely helps the average survivors win more, but it also makes experienced survivors absolutely unstoppable (unless nurse/blight is in play - they legit are incredibly strong in good hands).

I can't find a survivor win streak that is public for proof of 200+ only one by hens is 173 while there is a public killer streak of 1947. At the end of the day a killer has a cap on their skill and 4 survivors have individual skills in game logic the killer to win will have to deal with all of them for a win. I'd think if you want to win (just like any other game you have to play the meta) which means play nurse/blight and A tier killers are also really strong. Playing for the soul purpose of winning and playing for fun are 2 different things for example playing nurse vs playing Leatherface these killers themselves have a cap if you want to win more Leatherface isn't what gets you there. Also having fun on any game is subjective. I'd never say skill issue id say lack of experience. It takes a killer less time to perfect their game than it does a working team of survivors.

You're right on fun vs winning. I'm a fan of mastering underdogs, so my main is a p100 ghostie. Sure I could win more as a nurse, but I personally have fun by giving survivors a sweaty break and playing more thematically with some silly shenanigans. If survivors end up going sweaty, ill bring my A game, but if not, I find the game far more enjoyable to play in a "competitive with room for silly fun moments" way.

I have a match I recorded off someone's stream against me I was shocked. They thought I was playing sweaty but in reality it was the opposite and I wonder how many survivors think like this SWF. I believe it's these survivors who think killers are OP but also do killers get beat by these survivors and then complain survivor OP?I only got this because of the funny stuff they were saying in end game chat and promoting as a ttv.

Some plyers are just weird or trolls in the video you just have fun with the survivors if you wanted to sweat an win you would do that and i am sure we played against each other once

DBD hasn't been new player friendly for a long time and it's not gonna get any better with all the survivor/killers they are adding every third month

  • I dont really find gens so much of a problem. I only run Surge as my gen regress and other info/chase perks. What you need to do is to understand where they spawn where they are most likely to go and make them scatter from the first gen they are progressing and after that it usually calms down.. If someone good bring you to a loop dont waste more than 10 to 20 seconds, identify if that person is going to drag you deep into water and if so change target to another and deal with that problem later.

Like i mostly play ghostface and even when i am like alright i am going to do casual now after prestiging 30 lvls during this bloodfest aiming to win every game, I try to stalk and surprise and youd be surprised that even tho you feel you are wasting time doing so you are still winning. I think the stress of winning and gens popping is the reason why people perform badly as killer.

I know there is Com teams trying to bully but vs them you just be an ahole back. hook someone in basement and then another camp that place and make life miserable , doesnt matter if 1 or 2 gens pop as you wait for them to die becuase when they are down even 1 the game is won as a killer becuase then you hook another which someone has to rescue and then you got only 1 working on the remaining 3 gens left.

  • Looping is fun. There are opportunities to skillfully outplay the other side in most tiles and skill expression of a killers power to reduce the safeness of a loop.

Now if you're providing criticism of specific tiles that favor one side way over the other, that's another story, but looping on its own is a fundamental part of the main action of this game, the chase.

Without looping, survivors just hold w which is way less interactive.
