My escape rate from 75 games in solo q

75 games

42 deaths

33 escapes

44% escape rate

So it's above the 40% average which makes me feel proud. However, 12 of those escapes were only because the killer was messing around, afk, or let me escape on purpose out of pity. This means my adjusted escape rate in games where the killer is actually trying to win is only 33%. I'm curious how these numbers compare to other survivors.

Comments

  • I think I escape around 50% of the time.

Would probably be higher if it weren’t for teammates giving up at the smallest inconvenience.

  • Just to add - hatch escapes aren't counted as escapes in game. They're considered null. So if you're comparing your escape rate to the devs stats, you need to take that into account.

Pretty sure hatch counts towards the stats just not MMR.

Also matches where a survivor DCs nullify the match for all players. These matches don’t factor into kill or escape rates.

  • 35%

hatch escapes, free escapes from the killer, and afk killers don't count. if so it would go another 10%

    also including DCs

  • There is a Survivor main who boasts a 60% escape rate, but since he is a former Killer main, this is an achievement that can be attributed to his thorough knowledge of the game as a whole.

From my own experience, the survival rate is not far off from 40%. Although it may be a little low.

They are in stats but they are not affecting your mmr. Without hatch escapes, probably escape rate was lower. So it's good illusion to have to manipulate real stats.

  • Lol, my escape rate is below 30%.

But then again, I am bad at chases and avoid them as much as I can. Plus, my MMR is rock bottom so, yeah...

But to my understanding there must be people with lower then 40% cause there are absolutly people with over 40% so that overall we come to 40% or am i wrong

Thanks for the info! Definitely a bit odd counting it as an escape for one aspect but null and void for another. I don't count hatch escapes in my own escapes anyway, only exit gate escapes.

I’m assuming they don’t count it to discourage people from slugging for the 4K. If hatch counted as a loss for killer then there would probably be much more of it.

Then again nothing in this game is consistent. For example, bleeding out and Moris don’t count to emblems but they do for MMR.
