What trades are you willing to make?

What trade-offs are you willing to make between Survivors and Killers?

Comments

  • I get gen rushed, you get tunneled.

  • Just an MMR system that rewards individual skill. Not much to ask, I say make killers as strong as you want, just reward individual (solo q) survivors for playing well with MMR. I don't see the problem with this, it's a very small ask, please BHVR just do it.

  • We revert something for the survivor side, then something for killers.

There are plenty of options to choose from.

  • Delete NOED and Adrenaline from the game.

    vacuum pallets

  • Is that what you want for survivors?

Fair enough. What would killers get in exchange?

I like NOED and I don't mind Adrenaline. This trade doesn't seem worth it to me. I'm generally against just taking things away from players. I prefer to see new solutions introduced. NOED already has plenty of counters though. How many anti-totem perks exist now? Small Game, Counterforce, and Detective's Hunch come to mind. That's not even factoring things that reward cleansing totems like Inner Strength, Clairvoyance, Overzealous or all the Boons. Survivors also have maps to help find totems. The answers are there. Survivors just need to use them if they are worried about NOED.

  • I'd give up nearly anything to get rid of Nurse and Blight.

Yeah, NOED has a big amount of counterplays and i don't really worry about it in my survivor game. However, i saw so many games where killer did bad during whole match and got free kills due to lucky rng of totem or survivors happened in unlucky position after first NOED hit. I never bring this perk in my match, because these kills always feel like undeserved.

And Adren is perk i'm good with on a paper, but 4 man with this perk is something beyond stupid in current dbd. Half of my matches is just people who ignore healing completely, because they all have Adren. This makes wanna play only those killers, who are able to punish this playstyle (S or A tier). And in contrast with NOED, this perk has no counterplay. Well, there is one: hard tunneling on 5 gens. Seems like it's something i will back to in my killer games, because i can't see no more baby Megs get their undeserved escapes thanks to this perk and me being nice guy.

you have to choose what killers get in exchange

  • Hold on, this whole operation was your idea.

What a difficult decision. It would have to be something in the same power level, but it cannot be restricted to a single killer because pallets obviously aren't restricted to a single survivor.

Perhaps Old Ruin? There is the matter of Totem RNG, but if killers wanted more time to do things it was the best tool they had. But the question remains: would the additional time granted by Hex: Ruin with a good totem spot be enough to compensate for the few hits you won't land due to the Pallet Vacuum? Or perhaps a perk reversion is equal only to another perk reversion?

This is one is quite the challenge, my friend. Pallet Vacuum isn't something I believe should be brought back to the game.

But you've raised an interesting debate here.

Remember based on the prompt there isn't a limitation to what it could be to counterbalance, its not limited to reversions or something that almost made it into the game this could be its own thing or a reworked thing that didn't make it

That is true, but I'd like to keep my answer restricted to reversions.

Come one, I'm curious now: what is your answer?

I’d like Old Undying back. It would make hex builds viable

Ah, very controversial answer, my dear friend :)

I always preferred Thrill of the Hunt over Undying for Hex builds, to be honest, even if the original Undying was way more powerful.

the "end of game" mori system with no basekit unbreakable aka any combinations of 4 dead / slugged / hooked survivors game ended with a mori

I didn’t play much killer before they nerfed TotH but after looking it up, it’ll settle for its original incarnation if I can’t have original Undying. At least that way I can actually protect the lit totems shining like a disco ball on top of hills.

It was always interesting to go against killers who used TotH for totem defense, those were some of my favorite trials. Not sure why the perk was nerfed, but it should be reverted.

That is a very unique idea. Interesting.

  • Go back to pre 6.1.0

Both sides get their powerful things back 😈

  • Killers get one down moris and gen kick meta again if original mettle of man comes back

Yeah maybe something like a system that scores you based on 4 categories: escaping, doing objectives, rescuing/healing people, and running the killer for long chases. If only a scoring system like this existed...🙄

  • Definitely for the survis I would prefer an anti camp system that is deactivated when there are 2 engines left and for the killer a system so that the survivors do not leave near an engine and that if the killer is in chase they repair much more slowly until the first survivor die
