Billy vs Spirit. Who's better?
I would like to hear what people will say and why they pick who they pick.
Who do you think and why?
(Edit to explain my reasoning)
I would say that I can see an arguement for both but I'm edging more towards Billy.
Mainly because he punishes the survivor harder and his punishments arent as severe as spirit.
He has the normal killer stats.
115% speed
32m terror radius
But his power allows him to have more map pressure than the spirit and he can use it continuously instead of having to wait for a cooldown. He doesnt have a time limit for how long he can usethe chainsaw. And he can insta down.
However he does suffer harder than spirit while getting looped but he isnt hopeless. He has a few tricks
Curves
When he curves he has a chance of instant downing the survivor depending on their position and can be rewarding when done right.
Chainsaw flickering ( idk what people call it these days)
He can rev up his chainsaw for a split second and trick the survivor to thinking hes going to attempt to chainsaw the pallet when he can instead put it straight back down and get a free hit if the survivor falls for it.
He can also force the survivor to make a choice depending on the loop they're in. He can rev his chainsaw and force the survivor to make 2 decisions, either stay at the pallet or run to another loop
If they choose to stay he can chainsaw the pallet and attempt to down the survivor. Or if the survivor runs away he can chainsaw towards the survivor.
His weaknesses are strong loops and windows that prevent him from doing tricks.
And a team that is very good and knows how to counter killers
Spirit has a great power that allows her to mindgame her opponents. That's great. But she can also use it for mobility.
The main problem is when she fails she gets punished heavily for it. She has a 110% movement speed and when she fails to mindgame her chase she has to wait for the cooldown of her power for an x amount of time. During that time she has to find the survivor or leave the chase. Which both makes her waste time. If she finds the survivor she has to catch up to it with her 110% speed. Where I see her shining better than Billy is through her addons.
Her prayer beads (if that's what it's called i kinda forgot) allows her to completely destroy a team if she plays well.
That being said let's have a civil discussion and nothing heated. Again I see an arguement for both and I switch time to time from who's stronger
EDIT: This was an old post and my opinions have changed overtime. Idk how this got back up but whatever. Spirit is better than billy esp now that hes gotten nerfed but i wont go into details not rlly feeling it atm

Spirit can't be looped, Billy can. Spirit is unpredictable and Billy depends of survivors mistakes. Spirit by herself is a mind game, you can't tell where from she is coming no matter iron will or quick and quite you're using
By far the second best killer in the game
Tomorrow I might make a thread where I ask everyone who they find easier to verse between these 2, if I will remember about it. But right now, survivors mains who I know call Spirit harder to verse.
SPIRIT easy to loop?
Yikes my dude
Billy's only real asset his his map pressure and Instadown. Any mediocre survivor can make a Billy miss his chainsaw. Your curving aspect sadly works as well as Huntress in a straight line. Again any mediocre Survivor can dodge it. Baiting a Billy is not hard or even challenging. You dont need statistics to see the fact more people DC against a Spirit then a Billy. If you really play both sides then you knew this already and either are hoping your argument will change people's minds.
Problem is without Perks and Addons Spirit is superior. She has a higher skill cealing then Billy will ever have. Leaning on the fact that Billy has 115 ms and a instadown wont give you much room.
With Perks and Addons she can be superior to Billy as well. She can have a build that can easily take a survivor down within seconds. Not Billy's instadown speed well at least without perks.
Problem for Billy is he is simple and straight forward in his design which leaves a lot of room for counterplay. Yes a good Billy will shine and do amazing, but a good Spirit will outdo a Billy. You keep mentioning her power cool down, but funny thing is. I have been playing her since release and I dont run power duration or recovery and have never had a problem with her power and downing someone.
The simple thing is Spirit has a higher skill cealing then Billy. Yes Billy is well rounded and can do the job, but a good Spirit will keep learning new tricks and new strategies to improve due to her vastly higher skill cealing. You act like looping a Spirit is a common and easy thing yet almost everyone in this thread disagrees. Billy is easier to loop and deal with then a Spirit anyday. You could honestly flesh out all the Tips and Tricks for each of these two killers. Billy's if he is lucky will be a full page and a half. Spirit will have a full blown essay and still be missing stuff.
TLDR: Billy's Skill Cealing is Quicker to reach then Spirits Skill Cealing. Billy can Carry you where's Spirit is only good as the person playing her.
Spirit is definitely better, but I enjoy Billy’s gameplay a lot more on both sides.
A mediocre hillbilly is as good as any other m1 killer, but with high mobility. A great hillbilly on the other hand is a different story. He is the one baiting mistakes, not the other way around.
A lot of people DC against spirit because she has little to no counter play while hillbilly is fair. People DCed against old legion more than spirit and nurse combined but still that does not mean he is stronger.
Spirit is better than hillbilly in chase potential while hillbilly excels in every other aspect. He is also not helpless in a chase, even against the best survivors. The only way to stay safe is by dropping pallets like a potato. He has the potential to creat dead zones very quickly meaning that he is more dangerous as the time passes.
Whether spirit or hillbilly is better, the difference between them is not significant if you look at the whole picture and not only chase potential.
Billy > Entity > the rest
Billy, spirit have more counterplays, she is slower, easier to counterplay.
Spirit because she can do something against pallets. Billy has only his mobility and a one hit but he isn't that strong if you know too play against.
Lol what crack pipe are u smoking lol no way in hell is clown a better anti loop killer lol just drop the pallet early and there u beat the clown
Lol put the weed pipe down bro no way in hell is clown better than billy at Anti loop lol just drop the pallet early and simple as that u beat the clown
lol billy is anything but map-dependent lol I fact I’d say billy good in Haddonfield field becuase if the survivors are running through the little white wall that’s a guaranteed instadown huntress is map dependent
Lol billy has No bad maps ur just bad billy
Lol hag sucks against survivors friends they would just snap her traps and gen rush her into her oblivion billy is hands down better than hag even after his nerf
Lol while I do agree billy has better map pressure... I’m a p3 billy... lol even i say spirit is better than billy lol even all the billy mains with thousand of hours on billy tofu say sprit is stronger just becuase she completely counters looping yes she has bad map pressure and mobility but who needs that when u can end chases in quick succession and hook them and make the other survivors go unhook them lol spirits just completely negates looping like nurse
most likely Spirit she got more thread on her then any killer.
They where prolly just bad Billy’s if ur a good billy like me He’s good on those maps u can still apply pressure and instadown in indoor maps
lol huntress is map dependent billy is not
Spirit is superior by far she is better in every aspect and she have better addon
Nurse
Between spirit and billy theres no question that spirit is far more powerful than angry chainsaw redneck. Billy isnt even i the top 3 anymore
It can only be seen on certain outfits within 8eters or so. Its not an proper tell.
