It REEEAALLY annoys me when people see the killer as such a joke that they farm them for points.

In the past i've downright removed this game from my steam account(as in I had to buy it again in order to play it) due to the playerbase being so toxic that every match left me fuming, especially later rank matches where players would abuse every single mechanic to its fullest and so often that it often boardered on if this should be considered a legit form of cheating.

I've encountered players who I swear to god throttled their ping/connection on purpose so they could PERFECTLY time that pallet drop knowing that it would occur a full 5 seconds later due to lag.

Then there are those who will LITERALLY STAND AROUND juking your swings with a flashlight in hand WAITING for you to pick up a downed survivor knowing that the killer is framelocked and unable to dodge. (This one REALLY urks me alot and I know why it hasn't been patched out, the survivor mains would riot so hard since their guaranteed cheap shot is gone.)

Then there are the players who will literally FARM THE KILLER FOR POINTS! And its not like we can just "avoid" having a pallet dropped on our heads since anyone who is toxic enough to farm a killer with the gates open knows how to bait even the most pro of killers into a pallet drop.

Players wonder why some of these killers facecamp or use one-shot down builds which are often looked at as toxic builds, well if survivors would stop using tactics that boarder on cheating, maybe the killers would as well!

  • Kill them. They'll learn.

  • I ######### wish it was that simple.

  • You sound like you need to get good if you're getting bullied by survivors.
Pro tip: If you're getting 360'd, turn the opposite direction that they are moving and you'll usually get an easy smack. Unrelenting and Enduring sound like perks that you'd need
If you're really so desperate, you can always run noed.

  • No offence, but it sounds like you just aren't a very good killer.

  • mum.....Mum... MUM.. THEY'RE TRYING TO SURVIVE AGAIN.. CAN YOU TELL THE DBD FORUM PEOPLE FOR ME!!!

Never fails... Is it SO HARD to admit that the survivor is just exploiting?

It never fails that some killers just can't accept that when a killer gets outplayed it's because the killer got outplayed.

Meanwhile most killers have no issue with most swf teams because they know how to play against them and have learned from their experiences.

  • Survivor standing on a surface that the killer can't reach? THAT'S exploiting.

Survivor is juking the killer through hell and back for multiple generators? That's simultaneously the survivor having good map awareness and the killer not.

I won't be so disrespectful as to say "git gud" but it is indeed something that takes practice and comes with time.

I’ll throw in my 2 cents and try to as helpful as possible with advice that doesn’t rely on perks, powers, or offerings.

Firstly just accept that you’re going to come across 4 team SWF in coordinated voice chat bringing along a rainbow map, skeleton key, either torches or toolboxes (with brand new part), shroud of union, dead hard, self care, and decisive strike, and there’s not whole damn much you can do about this.

Sometimes you gotta take a deep breath, accept you won’t get any sacrifices, and try to play in a way that still nets you a lot of BP, and still contributes to increasing your rank.

So here are some things that apply across ANY killer to ensure you still score really well.

    * Identify the best gens, in closest proximity to each other and guard them relentlessly.
    * Kick gens, then chase. Unless there are survivors bold enough to wait until the last second to get off a gen, hit them, kick, then chase.
    * If you’re against a team that are constantly out chasing you or outlooping you, and/or drawing you away from “your” area, then get your hit in, then abandon the chase, ESPECIALLY if you’ve been drawn too far from “your” area.
    * Pallets. This requires a bit of a judgement call which will only come with experience. You can either practice timing your lunges, with a 50/50 chance of trading a hit for a pallet stun, or just get better at pausing righty before you know they’re going to drop the pallet, and avoid the stun. In either case always kick the pallet to score yourself the points. Make a judgment call on either resuming the chase if they’re still close, or abandoning it to resume patrolling/kicking “your” gens.
    * So you’ve managed to down one of these jerks? Avoid spamming the “pick up” button straight away. If you happen to be near one, turn and face a wall or tree and then pick up, basically anything that makes it difficult for another survivor to get in front of you with a torch. If you’re a bit more out in the open, do a bit of a little patrol to be absolutely certain other survivors aren’t hiding behind line of sight blockers in the immediate vicinity. Don’t dawdle though coz most downed survivors will try to quickly crawl to somewhere that makes it difficult to find them again.
    * Getting them to a hook. If you’re certain there are survivors with torches, immediately look straight up as you pick up a downed survivor. Be sure in advance where a hook is in the direction you are going or hopefully you caught a glimpse of a hook aura before looking straight up.
    * Hook blocking. If you haven’t been holding on very long, drop your survivor. If you’re certain they’re gonna wiggle free anyway, get those hits in on the nearby hook blockers, get your points before the stun.
    * So they’ve managed all repairs and you’re at the endgame. Pretty much all you can hope for at this point is 2 things. Getting hits in on survivors you come across before the gates are open, hooray for you if you get a down and a hook. Otherwise if they have the gates open, expect that they’re going to hold the game hostage unless you go over to the gate they’re in and chase them through the exit. At this point, if you haven’t yet maxed out your Deviousness category, stay far enough of a distance from the gate that they can see you, but see you’re too far to be an actual threat, and spam as much deviousness scoring activity as you can until they’re too bored tea bagging and finally exit the trial. Eg. I main clown so I bottle toss till they get sick of it and finally run off and finish the game.

So in closing. These tips don’t help you get your 4 kills. They’re just a way to get the best score you can against these kind of survivors that are difficult to down and sacrifice. I’ve played against many SWF using the tactics you’ve described, and I’ve played in this manner, and it’s been quite satisfying to still be the 2nd highest scoring player of the match without ANY kills.

    * Don’t pass up damaging gens.
    * Break all dropped pallets.
    * Accept that the only other scoring you might get are from chases and single hits, not very many downs.
    * Spam Deviousness at the exit gates.

Please don't talk to me like i'm some nooblet who can't even sacrifice a single survivor without facecamping. I may have very few posts on this forum but I have over 223 hours of experience in game. I get that you are just trying to help(I think...never can tell with this often toxic community. :/) and not trying to talk down to me but I wouldn't be talking about several issues you only(or mostly) run into post rank 14 or so if I wasn't experienced.

  • Usually those who bullied tend to DC if the whole team go down by slugging. It what usually go on for me but I normally just run Freddy when flashlights show up with class photo/the dresses add ons to decrease skill checks

Its not the players fault for using the stuff the devs gave them, you have to blame BHVR.

Not really sure what you mean with throttling the connection to perfectly time the pallet drop? Usually a bad connection messes up your timing^^

I don't know how you could even think @DudeDelicious was trying to talk to you like an underling. He's just trying to give you tips, that's all.

Fyi, I have 720 hours and I'm still far from an amazing killer. Not a lot of people will equate your skill to your hours played until they actually see how you play.

  • this HAS to be a meme
  • All killer oneshot builds are trash, so I don't get what you think survivors think is toxic. (Exception is NOED)

If you get 360'd just don't immediately hit them if they're out in the open, if you know they 360 just take a step back and THEN swing whuile holding M1. Also the new forum sucks, I can't see what im typing.

    Umm yeah ok...

there are plenty of other ways I could have been condescending if that were my intention that would have required MUCH LESS EFFORT.

    so eff you.

Next time i see your name in the forums i’ll either ignore you, or post the same “helpful” advice as most others here, “git gud”

wow... way to prove me right. I was trying to be civil while recognizing that you might have been trying to help but you just up and threw that good will out window. :/
