10s elusive has a dangerous flaw and makes tunneling easier

as we know endurance and haste after unhook was reduced from 15s→10s and elusive was added for 10s

The problem? Now its actually EASIER to tunnel , heres why:

Since the status effects are all in sync at 10s, now the killer literally has an audio AND visual cue of exactly when the endurance runs out. If im playing lets say kaneki and after i hear the unhook notification, io go back to the hook, all i have to do is follow the unhooked person and the moment i see scratch marks or hear them start groaning again i instantly know its worn off and can m1.

Originally if a killer followed you off hook, theyd either have to count the 15s and hope they timed it right or they might hit too early, now that will never happen. the killer will always know when to m1

TL;DR The existence of elusive being in sync with endurance weakens the endurance more than intended due to the fact it acts as a prebuilt ingame timer to when its safe to hit off hook. i think elusive should be 12.5 or 15s to counter this. @BHVR

thats just horrible game design philosophy, in what world do you think that would be an appropriate way to balance the game?

I think thats the design philosophy for longtime though.

In what world a solo team has any odds against a mediocre A-S tier killer?

Queue times says all, like before evening usually 7-10 minutes for a killer game, survivor instant and always on bloodpoint bonus, I never saw killer bp points since months.

If you are good killer, you should win every game. That's how the game should work. The only issue I have even as killer main is that you can now bodyblock stairs from basement and with shorter bt you can easily confirm a kill.

What an absurd statement. This role bias mentality is what taints the feedback and ruins the game. If you're good at killer you should be put with good survivors and both sides should be able to win. Why would anyone become good at survivor and play the role if they're destined to Iose against a killer that put in the same amount of time and effort?

It's not bias. The current killers except for 2 - Nurse and Blight can't achieve clear performance even when play perfectly. But that's because all game result depends on how survivors spread across map to gens and if they sit on them all the time.

I kind of agree but that doesn't make it any better of a game design idea lol, once survivors finally get tired of it its going to be extremely hard for BHVR to get them back to the game.

Its mostly because Killer players are generally playing to win and survivor players are playing for a number of reasons but (especially based on the difference between survivor main and killer main CCs) mostly to have fun whether they win or lose… my personal experience is that BHVR is making the game less enjoyable especially for solo queue survivor in a lot of ways.

IDK about where you are playing but in USA Queue times rarely, basically never get that long.

  • Elusive is a joke if they have eyes on you, and tunnelers usually aren't very far. Now, if you vanished, then yeah, it would be helpful. The Killer sees you and will still follow for the paltry 10 seconds of Elusive. This is especially true against The Judgment; the 10s is meaningless.

It reminds me of the line I was once heard - many killers think they are so good at the game that they'll only believe its balanced when they go 50/50 with the best team in the world.

It's worth a whole scientific study on what this role does to people's egos.

Hasn't every single killer had a 100+ winstreak already?

Yeah even trapper has like 200+ wins in a row.

100+ is so low that almost any noname streamer can do it regularly.

Dbd one of the worst balanced pvp game there is.

Admitedly the goal is 60% minimum winrate for role but most killer has way more than that. Also if a survivor DC during killer snowball it doesn't count in official numbers so in reality most killer has above 70% winrate.
