Chucky vs Wesker

So why is it okay that Wesker can vault pallets more or less whenever he wants but not Chucky?

  • Beforehand i think it was that if chucky vaulted under a pallet, he could still turn and start his dash into you since the animation was quick to vault. That or the faster vault animation he had allowed him to land hits easier than wesker. Wesker however shuts his power into cooldown after vaulting. Meanwhile legion can vault a pallet and break it at the same time then go into a cooldown before attacking you. His problem might have simply been no cooldown or his vault was faster than others allowing him to hit people easier. To be honest i don't see why they don't just bring it back, put him in a cooldown after scampering and slow the animation down to same as weskers.

  • Does anyone even use Wesker's pallet vaulting? Feels like it's faster to just go around them.

  • Chuckys scamper was just used in a way that you run around the Pallet normally and wait until the Survivor drops the Pallet. And once they did, you scampered under it for a guaranteed hit. So the Survivor just has the possibility of not dropping the Pallet and get a Hit or dropping it and get hit. Classical Lose/Lose-Situation.

Wesker on the other hand cannot do that. Wesker has to play around Pallets, he cannot just follow until the Pallet Drop and then vault over it, at least not on every Loop.

On strong pallets its good to use it especialy now where it vaults more often then before where when survivor dropped pallet there was some delay that make even few seconds that pallet impossible to vault but since they fixed his hitboxes the vaults are more consistent.

  • very good question! And also for Chucky it was very important part of ability. Now he is feeling

Exactly this. If they wanted to bring back Scampering without actively being in Slice N Dice like before, they could do something similar to what @ShanoaLegendaryPlz suggested (put him in a cooldown after scampering and slow the animation down) to make it more similar to Wesker, but as it was before it was just completely unhealthy and uncounterable.

  • Chuckys scamper went from a frequently used mechanic to a very situational mechanic. I like it the way it is.
