Do someting about hard tunneling for once

Note that i say Hard tunneling.

tunneling when nothing else it logical to do is one thing, but now days every game is: Game starts, Killer find one guys and insta tunnel them out of the game. with 5 and 4 gens left... I recently came back to the game after a break, but i'm about to go back on another break because its just not fun. And tbh, judging by the steam reviews where 50% is negetive, i think its really time to stop releasing new chapters and actually focus on game health. I know you are money hungry, but money will go away if you dont do anything to fix the current tunnel meta

People posting pictures of instaheals pretending like it happens every game. Who you think you fooling?

Tunneling at 4 gens actually happen every game. every day. And please note that i says at 4 or 5 gens. and people think they cant tunnel when nothing is left to do. But sure, i'll start to play like ######### to killers, and bring all i have of bnp's and instaheals. and when i'm all out, i'll uninstall the game, because when i dont have instaheals and bnps. its not a level playingfield according to you guys posting pictures.

survivors: bhvr you should nerf all antigenrush perks

    bhvr:nerf all antigenrush preks

killers: without the ability to somehow physically slow down the game, begin to tunnel

survivors: why killers tunnel, probably need more nerf

I didn't mind the gen regression perks tbh, the problem certainly doesn't come from me. I used most of them myself before the nerf.

I'm not asking for something to be done about tunneling either, I'm just pretty certain that they will do something. Especially if they have a way to see how much it's happening. And judging by the forums and how a lot of killers are very open about the fact that they tunnel at 5 gens, yep I'm guessing they knows it happening a lot more than they'd like.

Do you know the story about the sun and the wind having a bet?

Give killers a huge buff for not tunneling that is better than tunneling and they won't. It's really that simple.

    It really isn't.

Killers will tunnel so long as it's easy and effective.

The issue is that in order to make something stronger than tunneling, it would need to be incredibly overpowered.

There's really no substitute for getting someone out of the match.

Killers have been tunneling since the beginning of the game.

They do it because it's easy and effective, not because they necessarily need to.

But yes, please continue your mindless us vs them.

Only real way to get tunneling down is to make a insensitive not to tunnel. Hard merding it isn't the solution and the Devs won't do that because they already said they won't hard Nerf it....

Best suggestion I saw was to make Hook States count for something....while alos making it so they can't hook the same survivor twice to get the bonus....

This would lead sadly to clone squads of survivors to try and mess with the Killer

Personally, I'd like to see Survivors lose a bit of power at the very beginning of the game and have the 3v1 part not be so devastating.

So, with an overall kill rate over 60% you still have a problem with 4 survivors escaping once in a while, do i get that right?

Because the kill rates are facts we know about. How high should the average kill rate be, in your opinion? And what outcome of an even match would you propose?

No I have a problem with the perks and the items, because over the years killer metas wear destroyed constantly, but the survivor meta just get new perks on top and bairly lose some meta perks. I dont care if I have 4 man escapes from time to time, but when a 4 man escape happend because overpowert ######### yes I have a problem with that. (and yes Killers have some overpowert ######### left, but I bairly see them and the survivors bullshit I see every day)

What exactly are we complaining about now?

These 4 survivors are clearly tired of being camped, tunneled, and slugged. There are zero 'gen rush' perks, no toolboxes, no BNP, not even a prove thyself. The only thing that even affects gen speeds is resilience, and given the medkits, they didn't want to be injured anyway. They even brought 300% extra blood points for everyone, including the killer.

You brought a haphazard build with roughly C-tier add-ons that lean into the M1 part of Myers' kit and have literally nothing to aid in chase.

So you're angry about a single map offering? I mean, I know some people expect to bring a perkless build and still 4k with their monitor turned off, but c'mon.

A single Map offering I have stats over my round incloding Map Offerings, Perks and Items and the survivors throw map offerings in 70% of my matches.

Second Point gen speed perks arent the main factor why gens go fast. Mostly its medikits, because you can have constantly two on gens. So I would say for gens a syringe is even stronger than a BNP and In my Round if you look at my statistiks there are around 50% of the lobby with medkits and the chance the medkit has a syringe is at 64%.

And the 300% BPs are thrown, because the survivors can secure easly the win with all of this together

Would you say that this is maybe a reson to tunnel.

    Remember folks:

    • Killers playing efficiently is 'tunneling' and should be removed.
    • Survivors playing efficiently means Killers need to 'git gud'. 🙃

It would be really nice if survivor players had to play a minimum number of hours as killer before being allowed to post complaints about camping and tunneling.

I think there's there's room for improvement in the perks and add-ons at minimum. It's also unlikely that you played the game perfectly, and since 2.5 of your perks rely on you getting downs to do anything at all, you likely had next to zero pressure for this match.

It's interesting that you choose to showcase this as your problem case. It's also unlikely that anything I say will cause you to introspect, or even consider that there's anything at all you could do to improve.

So best of luck to you.

And killers have to play solo survivors. I am all for that, actually.

There's really no substitute for getting someone out of the match.

"Killers will tunnel so long as it's easy and effective."

And you say this knowing how? Even your next statement seems to indicate this isn't true. The move to tunneling has been a slow change. When killer loses the ability to control generators it moves to control the thing it can control.

Look for example at the "end game" hook scenario. There was a time people would get mad at a killer camping them on hook when there was literally nothing else for the killer to do. Having no other viable objective we see a push where they get "something" out of camping/tunneling.

Simply put the removal of control and lack of options for killer encourages tunneling and camping.

-"The issue is that in order to make something stronger than tunneling, it would need to be incredibly overpowered."

Maybe that's what the game needs right now instead of the devs just ignoring the problem.

The game would be a little longer due to the built in slowdown and "feel less good" maybe but everyone would get to play for the majority of the match.

  • Well yeah, some killer kits are so weak in the current environment that you have to jump to desperation tactics immediately or you may as well forget about the whole thing.
