So BHVR still hasn’t done a PSA of the DDOSSing

I know in a article they said they are aware and working on it but it’s just that; it’s in an article. Players have to hunt it down to know about this, it’s in a place that like 10 or 20% of the playerbase will find. The DDosing situation is serious where privacy and lives could be at stake. We wouldn’t even know if it’s even resolved and the game is safe to play if they stay silent about this. Heck Valve put out a PSA when the source code was leaked. They should inform us on all their social media and in game so itleast everyone is aware and take precautions.

Comments

  • Yea I sometimes check their Twitter so I was expecting it allready be at least there. Nope. This is strange.

  • They’re too busy with the new sets glitch, they have no time for addressing that yet, they’re an indie company with low economy

  • Too busy Cashing in on Stranger Things to notice LOL sounds about right!

  • It's a Saturday, they're probably on their weekend break so cut them some slack.

Now sure, you could argue they knew about it mid-last week at least, which was during their workdays but think about it this way:

Every day they don't do anything about it means, potentially, an extra 50k bloodpoints for everyone as an apology.

We're gonna be able to afford four whole blood webs soon!

  • If they announced something like that, less people would play the game. When are people going to realize that BHVR cares less about the players now, and more about the money.

  • They haven't said ANYTHING about hackers, not that they see the reports and handle it (i mean i know the reactions, but it would be something). Not that they investigate claims, not even a sentence like "we are aware of the problem but can assure that..." literally nothing

  • They shouldn't say anything so as to not tip their hand hacking is one of those scenarios that is better to handle behind the scenes so as to not let it become a pr nightmare. Sure it would reassure those that have been affected by it but it would stop it from continuing to happen. I am sure once they plug the leak and feel confident its been fixed and solved and gotten a few players in deep sh!t for actually abusing their system they will finally talk about it.

Reports don't do anything about the hackers most of the time because they require video proof. Saw an interview with the guy who created the mainstream hack you see so many use in DbD today and explained how it works and why hackers get away for weeks if not months (its since been deleted as I can't find it anymore - I'd love to reference it for people cause it explains a lot). With the way the system is set up, the system does not have saved replays of individual matches, they have the pre-game lobby chat and end-game lobby chat, thats it.

Most people are not streaming or recording their games, they see a hacker and press the 'thumbs down' at end-game lobby, fill out the report and move on. Until they fix their entire report system, things won't change sadly.

Everyone knows DBD has a hacker problem.

Them not saying anything is just making a worse PR situation.
