why am i still red ranks after 2 years?

i came back to this game after not playing since 2019 and i'm still red ranks? i feel really out of place because i'm getting destroyed right now because i'm learning the game again. i don't know what to do about this. .

    You are in for a rough time. You should have not reinstalled.

    Welcome back man. Don't worry about it because you will face red rank killers even when your rank is lower. I am red rank and get people completely new to the game as teammates, brown ranks with hardly any perks.

    I didn't play for a year and don't have too many problems, two years is a lot tho but you will get in shape after a while. You need some knowledge on new killers and their powers, perks, maps etc. Changes that happened while you were away.

    Because BHVR doesn't know how to stack rank resets.

    That's so weird, does rank reset not apply if it's uninstalled?

    Im going to hazard a guess that his rank didn't reset, but he needs to restart the game and it'll derank him. Happens to me every reset.
