They should remove the Chat function overall
Not much good comes from it.
I dont even pay attention to the chat, i leave immidietly after the round is over.
But no one should be able to spread their hate in the first place.
The Devs should just create a button which sends a GG nothing else.
Edit: it seems like everyone gets my message wrong, most of you don´t even read that i don´t participate in the chat, ppl shouldn´t be able to be hateful even if no one reads it
If they couldn´t let out their hate i hope they would take breaks from the game and appreciate more of it or leave so that in the end the community would be a better place

Consoles don't have it but they get harassed just the same through their platform chats.
Hide the chat in game and set your steam profile to friends only.
In a way I like the idea of removing the chat, my salt collection would grow even faster when people can't throw their tantrums ingame

there are a lot of people who like it, there are a lot of people who dont act toxic / entitled in it and there is no reason why we should remove it for everyone because of a toxic minority.

It is unfortunate that people take personal offense to the words of strangers.
Cursing is a habitual response to stress for many people. In games where there are perceived winning and losing conditions, people become competitive. Competition breeds stress, and thus from time to time players feel the need to relieve that stress. In that moment, you are the target of their insults and swearing because it is a healthier alternative to punching a hole in their wall, monitor, keyboard, etc.
Judge people all you like for choosing this as their form of relief, but you'll find it is quite common.

The study looked specifically at physical pain tolerance, but it is not a stretch to assume the study's findings can be translated to psychological pain as well--i.e. stress and frustration that comes from losing a game they worked hard to win.
I will be the first to admit that I can be a dickhead in the post-game chat. Not always--but definitely when I felt I played really well, and didn't come out on top (especially if I feel the killer didn't play exceptionally well). I am competitive. This is my way of cooling down from the trial.
Most people might walk away from these games thinking I'm the worst kind of human being. But every once and a while someone sticks around long enough for me to finish venting. When this happens I own up to being a dick, and slap 'em with the honest "gg."

The chat don´t provides anthing to great, few ppl don´t even write gg when they lose and most ppl won´t team up afterwards because of longer waiting times when you are more than 1 person.
I once used to write and read the chat it was hilarious seeing ppl writing their hurts out how much they hate everything and unfair it is.
Look, I get what you're saying but I don't know if you know this but there are a majority if people who love to be toxic and have salt wars in the chat and you cannot change that, your best bet is to just ignore it and move on and trying to fight to change that makes you look like the cuckbag.
My steam account is public, which means people ######### in the end game chat and then in the comments in steam profile... So my point is if there is a will there is a way.
The end game chat is the best thing of the game after you humiliate a cocky adversary. You really want to take those moments from us?
Or you know, you can turn comments to friends only and disable the end game chat. Problem solved. It’s really that easy.
So let me get this straight... You want an Online Multiplayer PVP game.. where you have absolutely ZERO interaction with the other players? You might as well play a single player game or just add bots and turn off PVP completely.

Thats not the point... You could have said: "Or you know you can stop playing the game" or " Or you know you can go Amish". Both scenarios would solved the problem just like yours.

That’s not even close. Not having a brief, optional, dialogue at the end game screen isn’t equivalent to not playing the game at all.
If it bothers you, like it clearly does for the OP, there’s very reasonable ways to disable it without having to disable the option for everyone.
Putting your steam comments to public is exactly what it says, any wacko on the internet can say whatever they want on your profile.
You are just bringing up other alternatives which can also be easily circumvented
Just turn it off.
It would be good if you could just disable it in the options menu and also get a symbol next to your name so the other players know you won't see what they're typing.
