Actual rank? Or the one shown on screen? I've kinda neglected killer lately in favour of other games, and I'm barely maintaining my survivor rank as is.
Gatekeeper is also timer based, so if you stall long enough, you should still get a good emblem.
It is all largely theoretical, but I have double-pipped in games off a single kill at lower ranks.
Yes it is timer based but if I'm not mistaken it has an upper limit of where you can get with it. and also that 1 kill pushing it to 9 hooks transforms the bronze into a silver, if I were you I would have led with that point.
Point is that for a majority of ranks, you CAN pip without kills. It isn't exactly simple, but doable.
Have you been playing alone? I'd like to be able to tell the same. But people are being cheap every match, I am afraid.
i dont camp but i dont care for pips or bloodpoints. When i play killer, i play to kill them and theres nothing wrong with it.
Camping will result in a loss against smart survivors, but not tunneling. You dont loss anything for tunneling. They may could have BT and DS but thats all.
I play almost exclusively solo queue survivor. I almost never see killers facecamping or tunneling, although I do get teammates crouching in bushes when I get hooked quite frequently.
My teammates and I get tunneled almost every game (no, I try not to be toxic to the killer). I would love to use other perks, but I can't because of how many tunneling killers I go against. I wonder why so many killers complain about BT and DS... lol
You must be an extremely lucky guy haha! All I get is either teammates who do nothing while I get chased or who unhook you right in front of the killer (without Borrowed, of course). Last day there was a single gen left, and I was alternating between getting chased and repairing a gen which I brought close to being fully repaired, on my own. When I got hooked I saw that, of the 2 remaining survivors, a Nea was crouchcamping in a corner of the map, and a Dwight was camping behind a building. After some time and getting the gen close to being complete, Dwight finally decided to help me (oh, and those two were SWF, they confirmed it to me). The killer was coming, but I kept pushing the gen, knowing too well he would chase me again. Guess what happened then? Dwight opened the door and escaped immediately, without trying to unhook me. I kept the killer busy all game long, and that's what you get in return :D
HAHAH. I love that. 5 out of 7 games are facecampers. That's really not a convincing lie.
To a degree, I do too and there's nothing wrong with playing an honest game for kills. It's when kills only matter and you go put of your way to ruin the experience of others just for a kill that I take issue.
Slugging is a good example. 1 on hook, 1 in the dirt? Perfectly fine and tactical. 4 down? That's taking it too far.
Yea if killers play like that, thats just toxic #########.
As long as its neccesary and usefull i am ok with it. But slugging 4 survivors for no reason isnt neccesary or something like that. Same as camping at 5 gens.
If they bomb the hook right after i hooked someone, it could be ubderstandable but otherwise no.
Most of the time when I go against killers who tunnel (yes In play survivor sometimes) at least 2 survivors end up escaping if the person being tunneled is good. That's just my experience though.
Depend. If the survivor who you would tunnel is way better than the others, you should go for others but if they arent that good anyway it would be the smartest to go for them.
But i must also say, as long as they dont play super toxic i dont tunnel. I dont care if i lose against survivors who were good and not toxic.
If the devs add this new trial warm up to give killers more time and have a less stressful experience, which of course would be nice, but without adressing the main issues of survivors like tunneling and camping, this game will have a serious killer queue time problem again, which is why I am already concerned.
I don't understand how some people think the devs must address gen rush, but camping and tunneling is completely fine.
"Ijust want to have fun over voip trolling killers all night, no wonder they facecamp me after along series of teabags and fleshlight spams once they finally catch my cocky bum in a spot where we can't fleshlight bang them to death as they pick me up. btw epic fail behavior why our queues 15 minutes now?"
"ya'll" dun understeend that's a result of years of swf. You're lucky queues for some survivors are only pushing 10 minutes after crossplay instead of 3 times that.
Imagine being so dense and having no actual argument so everything you don't like to hear is a lie. Grow up kid.
Since when does camping give you a 4k?
When survivors hurtle themselves in one at a time, or they don't completely gen-rush you and try to get the hooked one.
It was more of a general stab at killers who prioritise kills and ONLY play for kills, even if it means taking literally all the fun out of the game.
Unfortunately I still get punished for the swf argument even though all these years I've never played with friends, only solo queue.
Ah. The classis 'kid' insult. You love to hear us
we're literally running around as a bunch of no mithers and basically throwing the game so get sabos. Mettle of Mither is clearly OP btw. Not even dead hard on no mither btw.
