Out of my friend group, most of us are seeing him a bunch, some say they barely see him.
Wondering what your experience is and how popular he's ended up now that the dust's settled a bit.
I've seen him like 1 in every 5 matches the past few days. I love playing against him

Another RE chapter would be cool but I think we really need another Silent Hill chapter. Imagine the missionary or Leonard Wolf as a killer. Only thing about that is they exhausted most of the survivors that could be added thru skins lol

Except the tunneling, yes.
True, I don't think infection should progress in chase.

Everyone has their opinon. I literally played Wesker two times since his release.
- On PTB
- For Adept
Never touched him since. Heavily dislike him.
I can of course respect everyone's opinion personally on the killer, but you gotta admit game health-wise his power is in a very good spot
-
omg they brought the clown speed bug back lmao, just on billy this time

Wesker is definitely not a healthy benchmark, imho. In fact, he is a good example of what to avoid.
This is wild to say given that Wesker is essentially Blight with 2 dashes and an absurdly high skill ceiling

snore as loud as possible until they either get a crow, dc, or die due to the 1 hour shutdown timer

Dark theory in its current state is not worth it. It's the only Boon that only has 1 effect compared to others and need a buff.
Since in theory it's a chase perk and I'd like to keep that theme. my buff would be:
• give 2,5 haste ( survivors movement 4,1 m/s )
• give 10% vaulting speed
• show the auras of Windows and downed pallets in range of the totem
Now this perk would be decent.
Good idea except for the auras imo. We already have windows and it's pretty unfun to play against, I'd say your idea for the vaulting speed is perfect.

And to be honest it's not the best thing sweaty SWF can bring
There is far far worse combo when it comes to team of four
This is true, and likely why it won't be nerfed at all. It sucks to play against but strength-wise, it's really situational and using it actively takes one person off a gen for a long time. The "counterplay" is limited but the vast majority of people running the build definitely aren't escaping.
-
I miss old DBD so much lol it isn't funny anymore I need it back

If it's not "sided" in any direction then why do I win a vast majority of my killer matches besides the ones where I feel so bad that I turn friendly? And no, it's not low MMR, I get tryhards with meta builds too.
Even SWFs lose most of the time, since most of them are casuals who just play for fun with each other, so they end up being "too alturistic" for their own good which gets them all killed. The exception of course being those try-hard SWF groups, but even then those ones win barely half of the time from my experience as a killer against them.
Against these SWF, I have the advantage as a killer to judge pre-game based on their skins whether or not I think they're a SWF, and I can see the items they have equipped. If I don't like what I see, I can dodge the lobby. If I see them all with toolboxes, I can bring Franklins. If I see flashlights, I can bring Mad Grit and Lightborn and capitalize on knowing that they'll try to flashlight me.
Survivors can't counter like this before the match starts, or lobby dodge killers they don't like. So even before the match starts, a tryharding killer can give himself the advantage.Because the majority of players are not good at this game. You really should play solo queue and watch how many of your teammates go down in 5 seconds or hide and don't do gens.

Well I’ve tried at first, but losing the game like this and get T-bag & shamed isn’t exactly a good experience either…
Trust me friend, it sucks now but try not to take it to heart. They're just trying to get a reaction out of you. Those players usually aren't that great because tilting killers aren't great killers. Getting mad actively makes you play worse
-
The game isn't "sided" at all. You'll get steamrolled in some matches, scrape a win, or destroy the other team. On both sides. There are some unbalanced things in the game (some perks, certain maps, some addons) but you'll realize the game is "sided" based on whoever is trying harder. You could make an argument that SWF is unbalanced due to its inherent advantages, but the chances you'll encounter SWFs specifically trying as hard as possible to 4 out is highly unlikely.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you already reset their timer if you hit them succesfully and I think it even pauses for 1-2 seconds. So there shouldn't be a case where you don't have time to shot.
This is correct but only for a hit that damages them. The initial hit gives them the opportunity to clear the weakened immediately without being injured or downed
-
maybe its coming in the midchapter patch?
-
If I had to guess I'd say it's because his counterplay is just predrop W key. Since his power slows you down, you're forced to play super safe and predrop everything which is very boring in my opinion

Yeah thats true but I think right now it still could get better without making qs longer.
I think most importantly they need to make the mmr more accurate in the lower lvls and when it gets higher it loses up a little so you don't have people with 100 hours facen people with 5k hours
Fair point. I think they should just remove mmr all together, the matches were a lot more fun in my opinion

but tahts not only a tunneling problem. bhvrs matchmaking is freaking joke and there should not be a weak link that is so obvious to identifie if all players where on a equal lvl
That's also true, but if the MMR was anywhere CLOSE to accurate queues would be ludicrously long for good players

Clearly it is a problem, I have 4k hours in this game now and I have never seen tunnelling so bad as it is now. Of course that is just my anecdotal claim but it seems to be a common complaint at this point.
It isn't like I don't understand that killers gotta kill and when there is 1 gen left and they have nobody dead I can kinda get it.
But what I am seeing is the most cowardly plays of identifying the least experienced player and shamelessly tunnelling them out of the game even at 5 gens, so they really don't get an kind of match and most definitely a negative experience. This potentially hurts DBD as it makes it a very unwelcoming experience for new players who likely will not stick around.
For me, the best match I had in ages was a Bubba that hard tunnelled me as I am experienced enough to make him pay dearly for that decision, plus I rarely see Bubba anymore and chases with him are awesome. But for a new player this is just a miserable experience and I have to speak up for the defenceless who are bullied by unscrupulous killer players.
Ah okay I see what you mean. I thought you meant tunneling on a personal level, which is annoying but not bad if you're a good player. But yeah, seeing the claudette with 50 hours get insta tunneled really sucks because after that there's nothing you can do. I have 3.2k hours so I'm pretty experienced at running, but when your teammates get hard focused it's a problem.

Well I guess that clears it up then, there is no problem at all because random poster guy/gal in the forums says they haven't been tunnelled for 50 matches.
Thread over I guess
Obviously it's subjective but it really isn't that big of a problem. There's so many players who jump into the forum the second they get tunneled like OMG CLOWN TUNNELED ME TREASH NOOBN!!11!!!! And then there's players that get tunneled, laugh it off, and hop into another match. It's not a balance problem, it's really how you handle it tbh.
-
I've played like 50 survivor matches and haven't been tunneled once lmfao

it is supposedly his counter-play. my problem with this counter-play is that his m1 play is weak. artist has double hit mechanic as well but unlike unknown, her m1 play is good because you can use birds to shutdown loops by sheer existence.
M1 zoning is boring though, using power to get hits is way more satisfying
-
I would like more perks that allow moris but this is very similar to devour, which requires 5 hooks to mori
-
It's one of the less balanced maps along with Garden
-
When have we ever had another killer that can transform into a demon? A killer with a gun? An entity that can shoot sludge grenades? I get what you mean, but each killer truly is unique in some aspect. M1 killers not really, but even they have their own identity.

Yes - it's accepted and I'm all for that - but it's not the same as sliding off objects to get to your target.
Absolutely disagree about them being counterable. Just for example taking Blight, with the highest recorded win rate of over 1000+ kill streak (which shouldn't exist in any game) - it just shows you how hard it is to counter a slide tech blight.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3678925#Comment_3678925
I actually agree with this - being a killer and being able to hit survivors with them seems wrong.
I also remember the Dev's saying its unintended so not sure why these exploits are still in game after all this time.
I think we just have different perspectives. Personally I love playing against slide blights but I understand why some would not. You make a good point, but there are definitely counters to the sliding. It's just as if he was rushing in a straight line towards you, but starting from a different angle. You can always predrop.
-
The best thing you can do is avoid hugging walls when it's got its power out. Also, try not to force yourself into a position where it would be a guaranteed hit when you can manage it. There are some moments where it would simply be impossible to dodge (some main buildings, 4 lanes, etc) but you can also dispel it quite quickly and deny the down/injure.
-
They're counterable and require you to actually dedicate specifically learning them to get it down. It's the exact same as a billy curving, which also wasn't intentional when he first came out, ie, the community discovers a new way to use a power and bhvr accepts it as intended use.
