oh yeah pixelbush mentioned they did this to his skull merchant keybinds too. I prefer to use a controller on pc so I haven't noticed it but I'd expect more people to talk about this soon. They should add the option to disable match information.

I don't even know why they don't just put/keep it on the escape key - like it always was more or less. It completely confused me earlier when I saw this new feature on this particular key.
It's such a random thing to do that I don't think anyone requested this, especially when it removes a key that's close to WASD.

I mean it's the Clown, the destroyer of Solo Queue, the menace of PTB's, the king of STBFL.

Either you're using AI to write these post or you're just genuinely so passionate about this one bug that you've decided to write a master thesis on this, either way respectable.

Yeah, its why I was asking to see if there is a way they could mitigate future issues like this.
Maybe releasing a killer in a seperate queue until they know for sure it's okay to play against? Technically that's the PTB, but it feels that fails as a concept these daysThat could help with these occasional killer release disasters, I think releasing the PTB on more platforms would give the devs a better idea of how the live release would go.

100% this, I hate having to bring an add-on (that I have 5 of since it was an Iri) just to have Myers power with that janky tier 2 lunge in Tier 3. He feels like Oni but without any of the benefits, definitely one of the biggest misses BHVR has ever had. No more dead rabbit terror radius reduction, no more infinite tier 3, man that sucks.

I didn't assume anything about you, friend. Just what you said, which I will admit, lacked a bit of focus to work with. I was piggybacking off of your post, not everything is intended to be an argument.
Ok I understand

if your hiding for the hatch, your team mate could be injured looking to be healed.
its actually considered a reportable offense to hide for a prolonged period while avoiding gens.
What on Earth are you talking about now? The games over then, the killer is just gonna patrol gens looking for one of the two. When I play killer that's exactly what I do because I know the fun is over and I'm ready for another match. You aren't gonna get reported for looking for a way out in a losing game.

I'm pretty sure I read it right in that you think the argument for immersion is weaker now than it would have been in years past. My response was in regards to how selective people are about things like "immersion," especially when they likely don't miss the depths of the moonlight offering days or moonwalking legion. After all, deep wounds not bleeding out faster from getting tagged multiple times as well as not going down while being hunted by someone who isn't directly looking at you were clearly immersion breaking, but playing at a gamma of 1 was clearly healthy for the game.
Well then you assumed a bunch of things about me based on a vague comment in support of accessibility options.

doesnt matter how many are left, if there are gens to be done, do them, if your team mate needs help, help them. you can play for yourself if you want, i do all the time but you cant blame them for ratting you out hoping the killer will have mercy on them
So I can't blame them if they're being an ######### and teaming with the killer? That doesn't make any sense.

I'll never understand why people line up to dismiss such a simple option request. It seems like the biggest arguments against it are just apathy more than any actual valid reason. Probably why the topic keeps popping up from newer users and then is promptly ignored every time.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4009313#Comment_4009313
Give killers the ability to "calm spirit" individual survivors on demand then. Or just make an option for all players that locally cuts the dB of hook screams in half or something. In fact I seem to recall that we shouldn't be locking basic options behind perks. idk.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4009308#Comment_4009308
How is it a core gameplay design when they used to be less ear piercing? Killers have been smacking survivors immediately after hooking them for years because of this, which in turn many survivors take as BM if the scream doesn't bother them personally. Mute focus has been bugged to not work at multiple points in the game's life, and its a luxury console players don't really have aside from dropping their controller and grabbing their remote to quickly adjust the volume or mute it in time.
People can make arguments for the immersion, but they'd be selectively pretending the game is still 2016 DBD. I'd prefer engagement on the issue, but I am now ready for the flood of downvotes without any actual arguments as to why having the perception equivalent of excessive volume peaking is quintessential to the DBD experience.
I didn't disagree with them you read my comment wrong lol.
-
The PTB Alien theme was really well done and only the chase needed a couple adjustments, it takes a while to make these arrangements and it sucks to see them thrown away.
-
@runningguy said:
dont rat for hatch? cant blame them for ratting you out
In the games where I ratted, the vast majority most of them were when there was two of us left. I never throw games to rat.
-
It looks like some kind of QA issue is popping up, the same thing happened with the Walking Dead chapter where obvious issues came to live. Pretty much none of these perk changes should've gone through(Except for Ruin buff and DMS nerf).
-
I would've disagree with this 5 years ago, but DBD has gotten so gamified (BT off hook, Gen regression events, Anti camp) that this stuff needs to come.
-
100% MMR, when I would play SWF I had the same experience.

Dont forget "we increased pallets but actually just shrank several maps again and nuked multiple main building tiles but here's a few crap filler pallets where you'll die anyways lol"
These new maps feel really bad to play on for weaker killers, the strong main buildings being nerfed is nice but the sheer amount of fillers is so painful if you don't have a way to hit over pallets.
-
People are nicer to me when I play Nurse lol, the usual toxicity in this game reaches a fever pitch when I play her.
-
100% you're right, I wouldn't mind trading a strong filler for removing an strong window, but the sheer quantity of medium strength pallets on these maps are insane.
-
Honestly I've started to enjoy the humiliation ritual and it might be in a sexual way.
-
Big BHVR is always watching you champ be careful
-
That build is sending me
-
2v8 needs something for the survivors to do while they're getting destroyed, I've never bothered with killer on it since the queues take forever. Honestly just give survivors offensive tools to bully the killers with, perma boost heals by 100% and generator progress by 25%, that would keep me interested.
-
The problem is that he's too easy to play, if he was more difficult to play then he could get significant buffs without hurting less experienced players.
-
I get a lot of DCS when I play Ghoul and Plague and I get it, I don't have an issue with either killer but my teammates can't handle them. I don't get as much on Nurse and Blight but I think that's cause I've maxxed out my MMR on them and the survivors there enjoy the challenge :)
-
Ghoul is a lot of fun, I like to use Tinkerer and Eruption since he has the best mobility in the game, the other perks are up to you. Coffee and Chains are the best add-ons and Bamboozle is better than Centipede by a long shot.

Why would we care about comp over pubs?
Because you're talking about balance.

That's is all I got when I went against him before they gave him his yellow bottle so it isn't his worst add on people just aren't learning the best way to use it.
If it's not his worst addon it's his second worst, you sacrifice your anti-loop/snowball power for a chance to hit a very difficult instadown backrevv. Except no that's actually what Iri head is for huntress, take Iri head's difficulty and double it, that's what you get with pinky finger. It's worse than nothing when survivors catch on.
-
This issue can be solved by going to the DBD discord, there's plenty of people there who are happy to help inexperienced players.
-
I agree with this, I have a hard time finding survivors in the beginning now, especially on Lery's.

I mean, at a certain point, it becomes virtually impossible to be luck
It's the uncertainty that's the issue, the fact of the matter is that we know in a match with comp rules(which heavily favor the Trapper) that Trapper can never hope to get anything more than a 2k.

Thats what they did in this ptb with unique hooks and it makes sence basekit barbecue gives killer info there to go, pop gives him regressin he needs to have more time for chases and hooks and furthive chase some mobility but that isnt much helpfull only if you have high mobility killer like dreadge or wraith, sadako which can go across the map and use it in chase or someone near hooked survivor so the speed boost can help you in chase.
Oh no I'm talking about the killers power, not the basekit of every killer.

I have no idea who you're talking about. Pig has been getting buffed for years.
Pretty sure OnePumpWillie has a 210 streak with Trapper that ended recently, iirc. No gen perks either.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjLUD1sW2M4&msockid=837ede1291bb11f0a547e4a47a5f264f
Seems like even the weakest Killer on the roster can do pretty damn well for themselves, even when you have people who move the goalposts to fit their narratives.
Winning 200 times in a row should not be possible. Let me flip the question, should we address the minor inconsistency or the massive inconsistency first?
Because 200 is a lot closer to 50 than 2000 is to 200.
I don't like when people cite winstreaks when discussing balance, so many factors (time of day, playstyle, MMR, or the random gamble of getting 1000 bad teams in a row) can change everything.
-
You're talking about the survivor role, not the perk Vigil. Survivors will always throw for fun perks because they're fun. It's fun to always have your exhaustion perk up and zoom around the map.
-
The Twins are just not fun, not in a way like Skull Merchant where she was so abusable that they had to gut her, they suck to play as and against.
-
Most gen regression should be built into the killers basekit IMO
